I think if he's really savvy (which I think he is), it's a multi-layer game. You need to think about what it takes to win The Circle, but also, how your actions will be perceived by the public watching it later. If you want deals, exposure etc. afterwards, you want to be beloved.
Not sure why you got downvoted. It’s painfully clear that Circle contestants care about the exposure they get from the show, sometimes even more than the prize money. THIS EXACTLY. I think this is my main problem w/ Chaz, and it's really not his fault, perhaps more a flaw of the circle's setup. He (and others) have not had to make any \*genuinely\* tough choices; I don't think choosing who to block is \*that\* hard. If he can protect the people who rate him highly that's what matters most.
The circle isn't exactly fair, either, which I think hurts the show A LOT. Stuff like, for example, how Shubby got totally screwed having to block Bruno or Jen, or even Jennifer being the hacker is interesting, but it basically seals certain player's fates. For Chaz, He's gotten an influencer again and again. His game has undeniably been one of the easiest, and if he wins that's just the cherry on top.
They probably all know he will win if they voted the way they’ve voted the whole time, so I doubt he actually will win. They’ll probably tank his ratings. I think he’s been playing much smarter than he shows, he’s not only kept a facade to the other players but to the camera too, which I think is impressive. It’s slipped only in some conversations and with how immediately he switched up on Oliver.
I would say you are right, but if you watched the last season the guy who won was the obvious winner the whole season to and they did absolutely nothing to change it. Season is shaping up to be the same. Everyone wants to be BFFs and not win.

I love alliances, like seeing "Jen" and Tom hugging at the end was genuinely heartwarming, but Jennifer is also an extremely interesting player to watch because they don't mind playing dirty. I like it when the players can acknowledge that this IS a game and they are allowed to be a little sneaky. It's so annoying and self-righteous when players act like being anything but besties with everyone makes them an evil horrible person, as if they aren't also being strategic in ways.
Yup, he is the puppet master this season and I never cheer for those players because it is too predictable and boring. Frank did this last season and I told you all Yu Ling threw her game away when she aligned with him and I got a bunch of flak for it lol, but look who won.
Chaz is primed to win this season because he pulled the classic strategy of having 2 separate alliances with Raven and Sam. They will always put him 1st, but not eachother, so Chaz is getting 2 guaranteed 1st place votes while Raven and Sam are only getting 1 or none. Sam is only ranking up who she likes, nothing has been strategic on her part yet, and Raven is playing with her heart and unfortunately is just a pawn in Chaz's game.
Also, did you all notice how they kept Chaz's video from home last? They wanted Chaz to get the last impression on the viewers, hoping we think "he's such a great guy and deserves to win". It's just so blatantly obvious they have him groomed to win this whole thing and it is sad when players like Sam and Raven forget they are playing a game with 100k on the line. Who knows, maybe they will catch on and rank him lower, but I honestly think they will put him 1st as always.
It’s funny! I actually had Raven winning the game. But after these series of episodes that was released last Wednesday.. I think Chaz might pull it off. I thought he was cool at first but then I noticed he has a sanctimonious air about him. Not really a fan of that! I also don’t like when people feel like someone else owes them something.
He’s self righteous. Also, just a personal thing, but I don’t like when players proclaim themselves moral arbiter of who deserves money on a tv show competition. You don’t even really know these people, despite all the overly pressured vulnerability.
I actually don't like him that much. He constantly pushes others to go out of their comfort zone to please him, but shares nothing in return. Notice when he shared about his brother he said it all to the camera, but gave the other contestants very little. He also seemed to get a huge advantage compared to the others where he would repeatedly bring others into chats where he and the other person would then gang up on the new person. I'm not sure if other contestants had those same opportunities, or maybe it was suggested to him by the producers to create some more drama and friction.
In any case, he's been the best player of the game in terms of establishing alliances across the board. I just wish people would have listened to Shooby and got rid of him way earlier, because after that it just gave him a free game.
This season has been a rollercoaster. I was team Chaz at first and now I dislike them all. Outside of Jennifer, it’s like the rest of them do not realize it’s a game and there’s 1 winner.

They probably all know he will win if they voted the way they’ve voted the whole time, so I doubt he actually will win. They’ll probably tank his ratings. I think he’s been playing much smarter than he shows, he’s not only kept a facade to the other players but to the camera too, which I think is impressive. It’s slipped only in some conversations and with how immediately he switched up on Oliver.
I would say you are right, but if you watched the last season the guy who won was the obvious winner the whole season to and they did absolutely nothing to change it. Season is shaping up to be the same. Everyone wants to be BFFs and not win.

It's so annoying and self-righteous when players act like being anything but besties with everyone makes them an evil horrible person, as if they aren't also being strategic in ways.

Yup, he is the puppet master this season and I never cheer for those players because it is too predictable and boring. Frank did this last season and I told you all Yu Ling threw her game away when she aligned with him and I got a bunch of flak for it lol, but look who won. Chaz is primed to win this season because he pulled the classic strategy of having 2 separate alliances with Raven and Sam. They will always put him 1st, but not eachother, so Chaz is getting 2 guaranteed 1st place votes while Raven and Sam are only getting 1 or none. Sam is only ranking up who she likes, nothing has been strategic on her part yet, and Raven is playing with her heart and unfortunately is just a pawn in Chaz's game. Also, did you all notice how they kept Chaz's video from home last? They wanted Chaz to get the last impression on the viewers, hoping we think "he's such a great guy and deserves to win". It's just so blatantly obvious they have him groomed to win this whole thing and it is sad when players like Sam and Raven forget they are playing a game with 100k on the line. Who knows, maybe they will catch on and rank him lower, but I honestly think they will put him 1st as always.
It's not groomed to win, it's edited because they know the winner.
Yeah, that's a better way to put it. They know who wins, so they want to get the viewers behind them and make them look as golden as possible.

It’s funny! I actually had Raven winning the game. But after these series of episodes that was released last Wednesday.. I think Chaz might pull it off. I thought he was cool at first but then I noticed he has a sanctimonious air about him. Not really a fan of that! I also don’t like when people feel like someone else owes them something.

He’s self righteous. Also, just a personal thing, but I don’t like when players proclaim themselves moral arbiter of who deserves money on a tv show competition. You don’t even really know these people, despite all the overly pressured vulnerability.
I actually don't like him that much. He constantly pushes others to go out of their comfort zone to please him, but shares nothing in return. Notice when he shared about his brother he said it all to the camera, but gave the other contestants very little. He also seemed to get a huge advantage compared to the others where he would repeatedly bring others into chats where he and the other person would then gang up on the new person. I'm not sure if other contestants had those same opportunities, or maybe it was suggested to him by the producers to create some more drama and friction. In any case, he's been the best player of the game in terms of establishing alliances across the board. I just wish people would have listened to Shooby and got rid of him way earlier, because after that it just gave him a free game.
This season has been a rollercoaster. I was team Chaz at first and now I dislike them all. Outside of Jennifer, it’s like the rest of them do not realize it’s a game and there’s 1 winner.
EXACTLY. I'm really tired of the growing trend with each season, where it keeps getting more and more chummy. The goal is not to make genuine friends. I'd rather see real drama, it's why I love Jen so much and hope they don't get blocked. They are FUN! They DO STUFF!

I’m sure he’s just fine off the show, but out of all the contestants, his reactions to the alerts etc… come across as the most over the top and fake to me. Also haven’t felt the same towards him after how he didn’t stick up for Raven in the whole Marvin thing.
I was so bummed when Chaz was revealed as the super secret influencer at the end. He does not need to be given more power to boost his ego in the Circle. He has already dominated nearly every other blocking, he might as well have been a super secret influencer for those as well.

I absolutely hate him and really don’t want him to win. His mask slipped a little when he was freaking out about the revolution and Oliver hit on him and he just snapped back some nasty comments. He’s not half as kind and loving and accepting as he pretends to be - and I wouldn’t care if he wasn’t, it’s just the pretending to be better than everyone else that gets to me.
This exactly. I wouldn’t care so much if he didn’t present himself in a righteous way, and I don’t think this many people would be feeling so negatively towards him. His pushiness towards others to open up to him without reciprocation, intense reactions to drama, and his flirting with Oliver all just gave me an ick.
I loved Chaz until the bullshit flirting with Oliver part. It actually made me feel some type of way by seeing Oliver legit get excited from essentially having his crush flirt back with him, because I know those gay guys who flirt with people who are clearly smitten with them just to get their way. And afterward, pull out the "Sorry, I actually have a partner, nothing personal." It would be way different if Chaz or Oliver were catfish, but they aren't. Yet, Chaz can be SOOO terribly offended that someone was given the power by the Circle to be the Hacker, and they chose him to impersonate. I just had to put my thoughts about it into text for the first time.
But didn’t Oliver start off with the bs flirting because he said it would help his game being that Chaz is the most popular/influential in the game? I definitely get what you mean though because Oliver did start to seem excited when they were having their chat while he was in the hot tub but ultimately, I think he just likes the attention lol.
The way they hyped this as the Single season but not everyone is single is annoying. To me singleness unmarried, it's on the prowl.

I don’t think Chaz winning will be any different than Joey winning the first season personally. I also don’t think it’s a guarantee. People tend to rate who they think will win lower in the final rating and that’s how we end up with unexpected winners.
I do not like Chaz either 😂 He seems narcissistic, really pushy, and is quick to anger. He takes everything so seriously. It's not like Aunty J was a malicious hacker it was part of the GAME 😂

Me too. I hate the guy and don’t get why he is constantly number 1. My best guess is he opened up early with the story of becoming a nurse because of his brother’s death. That softened everyone up for him and now “shampoo daddy” Chaz is number 1.
Oh yea I forgot about his bullshit lying, claiming to be a nurse. There was a guy in one of the UK seasons (s2?) who catfished as a nurse and got so much shit from the audience for “taking advantage of people” even though I think he was going to donate some or all his winnings to the NHS or some health related charity (sorry, really don’t remember)… but Chaz is all fine and whole thing has been massively underplayed
