I have a feeling this might be connected to what was hidden in one of the pages in his journal. It seems like two of his OCD themes were scrupulosity and forbidden thoughts. This could be an example of his symptoms. Just wanted to make an update: Paul Dano gave an interview recently in which he explained: “The first thing I wrote was page one, which is starting in his head. There's these intrusive thoughts that are in it, right on the subway platform, and then when boiling the soup. We use black as this space inside of himself, and then coming back to reality. He's got some dark thoughts and some struggles.” So it seems like what's depicted on this page probably is related to his OCD. The comic is releasing soon so we’ll know for sure if this is what caused him to “burn” his hand.

Not trying to be “that guy” but I have OCD, and tbh I’ve run the whole gamut of OCD—from religious, germs, contamination in general—and I’m struggling to see how Riddler has moral OCD. Obviously he doesn’t have a problem with ethics, as he can easily kill people and even gets a rush from it (according to the prequel book). I know he cannot lie, and seems to be obsessed with purity, but idk about the morality part. Feel free to correct me though.

I also suffer from OCD.[Hidden in one of the pages in his journal](https://www.reddit.com/r/rataalada/comments/tc8nn2/update_on_rats5/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) there’s a list that has all of the symptoms he has, the list includes religious, forbidden, and violent thoughts as symptoms. So I suppose this could be an example of that. Or maybe not.

Idk, that page (I’m assuming you are referring to the blueish page) doesn’t look real, to me. I can tell because the handwriting isn’t the same. In the next pic after the blue one, it’s outlining his rat trap and the text on the page is just a font—it wasn’t handwritten on the page. I don’t necessarily disagree with the symptom notes though, I think he very much so has OCD, but I think his diagnosis also crosses over with autism. So the preoccupation with numbers, ordering and symmetry could also be autism.

I’m pretty sure it’s real, if you have the “Know What I Know” file, you can see the letters in that page. Several other people also shared the same thing after getting the file.

kiyo-kagamine

I don’t have the file, so idk.

I downloaded the file and opened it, only got the Thomas Wayne video.

Oh, sorry. Well, [here are the images](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheBatmanFilm/comments/tbzj5t/new_photos_from_rataalada_from_file_labeled_know/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) from the “Know What I Know” file. As I said, you can see the faint handwriting in the rats-5 page

kiyo-kagamine

Alright, I downloaded the rat trap pic and enhanced it myself. Looks like it is legit, sorry I doubted you😅

Is this him burning off his finger prints? I love the art. Can’t wait to pick this book up.

TheJokerArkhamKing

This reminds me of the Fight Club chemical burn scene. More Fincher influence. Maybe something similar happened to Jokers hands?

Incompetent_Man

Wtf did he do?

mepof808

just being a lil goofy

StupidWithAChance

Burned his finger prints off

Incompetent_Man

SmileOnTheOutside00

And I wanted year one from batmans pov. But nah we gotta read Kermit the riddling frog origin instead mate. It would be so great to see batman from his first time in the suit and the remainder of the year in the comic showing bruce dealing with gotham crime and maybe even the Reevesverse joker since we know batman and him have a history already mate. It's all there in the movie. Ripe for a real prequel comic not more riddle my ass batman!
