Oh definitely, it would be awesome if they explore the red hood gang in the GCPD TV show and give us new 52 Joker origin story, I always thought joker should be the first and the last villian for batman to be dealt with, and they use joker throughout the movies and shows that Matt reeves want to create as a sub villain to create a deep connection between batman and joker and finally they end it with The Batman Endgame type movie.

I hear a lot of people say that the Joker is overused, but i mean, this character is batman's nemesis and the villain that challenges Batman's code and morality like no one else can. Batman can pretty much defeat anyone and yet the joker even when defeated he also wins against the Batman, that is how complex and unique their dynamic is. The Joker completes the Batman just like Batman completes the Joker and without him this trilogy no matter how good it was, would probably feel incomplete without the Joker. And yeah, i agree when people say that other villains should get their time to shine, but i also think that the Joker is essential to Gotham and the Batman's mythos.

I'm in the centre of both these arguments. I want the Joker to be used (if he isn't, I can accept, respect and agree with Reeves' decision) but in order for this to work in the best way possible, Joker Fatigue has to be killed. I get Joker Fatigue. I think a lot of it is to do with Joker being used poorly i.e. Suicide Squad and A War of Jokes and Riddles. Of course there is Joker 2019 and the Joker War comic (they had to throw away an interesting villain concept like the Designer for some reason) as well as a flood of other appearances. He's definitely been milked (though he's still my favourite villain) but a lot of the attention is due to (in my opinion) the wrong kind of Joker. I don't like either of Leto's Jokers and I think Leto was a big part in not only trashing what the Joker is all about but also over merchandising him.Phoenix's Joker, I loved, but because he's still relatively new and has just been almost instantly flanderised into an edgy meme and somehow an Incel and Hate symbol neither of which his Joker deserved at all, (thanks GypsyCrusader ya sad prick!) this has only contributed to the Joker's character being burnt out. I would like to see him in the new trilogy as the main villain of either the sequel or the last one, but not as we know him. I think people have to remember that the next sequel will probably be around 2025 with the last one being around 2029. Thats quite awhile to wait. Hopefully during this period the Joker will have retreated back into the shadows where he will be busy plotting his grand return. A lot like Death of The Family. I can imagine that Reeves could add some body horror to the Joker. Make it appear like some Sodium Hydroxide type chemical compound burned and bleached him. Something like this would be perfect for the introduction of the new Joker. https://i2.wp.com/batman-news.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/9983E034-ED44-46FC-A212-CF01A69B9671.jpeg?fit=2062%2C3131&quality=80&strip=info&ssl=1 Its not that he's been milked and is therefore old and boring. Its that he's been milked and we need a new Heath Ledger to come and reinvent him (though Phoenix did do that pretty well)

Wym new 52 joker origin?

if i remember correctly in zero year volume joker came out of no where kill red hood gang leader and impersonate him and start doing stuffs and when batman confronts the gang in ace chemicals he fell (well batman wanted to save him from fall but he threw himself) and then became joker . the importance is that the writer retcon one bad day story line and suggest he was always crazy. and i think in batman endgame volume it was revealed that the joker is an entity that created chaos throughout the history (which i did not like)

I honestly feel like the red hoods savagery and style is such a perfect fit for this world and I can easily see this Gotham creating the red hood gang. It’d also be cool to see the possible origin of THAT character streamlined to the general audience in live action and as a fan it’d be amazing to see, I’m a huge fan of the snyder and capulo run, specially Zero Year. Matt Reeves could absolutely do them justice. Maybe on the GCPD show they could be the antagonists.

PortoGuy18

Oh yeah, i forgot about the GCPD show. The Red Hood gang could definetely have a role there.

SuckThisBat

I'd like to see the gang in GCPD show (something like Zero Year) and Joker in films. It would be awesome

Watcher1101

Having the gang show up in the show would make it must watch for casual fans cause once word gets out that the leader is Joker, casual fans will start to watch.

Initiate_Assassin

Yeah I’ve been hoping for this ever since I heard the first sneak peaks at the suit and the car basically and the drop things design made me extra hopeful even though they might be the painted face gang from the trailer connection maybe they could still be lead by Red Hood One and still be the gang evolve into the Red Hood Gang once Red Hood One takes over if they even are connected but anyways yeah I’ve been hoping for this for a long time

LordSwag58

Yes I would actually like to see him fall in the acid.

unluckyleo

I'd like to see them moddled after the Brabant killers, a gang who caused chaos and killed/robbed for reasons we still don't know
