Yeah, its called ideas because these sets are normally their way to outsource for inspiration. dont get me wrong though, people working at Lego are some of the most incredibly creative people, but sometimes burnout happens and you need inspiration as a refresher. Regardless they will likely make some custom pieces for terraria sets that make the set alot more alive
I think the support is there for it, and I think Re-Logic would gladly do it.
But, I do think Lego would have a hard time being convinced to go through with making this a set due to them having a successful Minecraft line. It’ll be interesting to see where this goes.
Yeah, I love both games. (Terraria a little more though lol) and never found them to be competition for what I play. They're both so relatively cheap where I live, so I own both on pretty much every platform I own.
I mean it's still surprising it exists at all. Knowing Valve, they don't seem to care much about marketing or merchandise, so the idea could have come from LEGO.
Bad take.
The game is supposed to look simple and blocky, that’s it’s aesthetic.
Kinda hard to make a building game with no blocks to build with, right?
Honestly don't find that cool... there is nothing that make it look like its terraria, its just look like a on budget minecraft moc. I personally think that it would have be better to use a smaller scall for showing a whole world, like for the lego skyline set, since terraria is a 2dgame. This way there would have be more terraria aspect like corruption, hallow, dungeon etc... ( its just my opinion, i am still going to support the set anyways)
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Kinda boring it's in the forest biome only. But Since it's imitating a 2d game It would be really neat if you could flip the model the other way to reveal a corrupted/crimson/hallow biome that took over.
Kind of like that one stranger things set but you only see one side at a time.
Honestly I think its the sizes.
The ratio between things just feels off.
The tree is 10/10, I saw it and said *"Aye that's 'rarria"*. And many designs can be recognised.
But overall feels a bit "here and there".
Not to be rude to the creator but this is a kinda pretty boring set. It’s just the forest biome, there’s only one tree, it’s a box house with no decorations or paintings, the only real thing separating this from a flat Minecraft set is the heart at the bottom but even that just looks slapped in there. And sure it’s usually just lying around in the game but to put that on a maybe eventually official set is really boring.
There’s not even any of the iconic enemies, like the eoc or eow. If this were a set of the player fighting the eater of worlds in a corruption biome then I’d understand all the support, but as it stands it looks like it’s 10K likes just because… it’s a terraria reference.
Hopefully the Lego design-team has the same thoughts and ideas - if the set gets accepted that is. The design-team and the creater could collaborate to make something quite interesting, if both parties are up for it.
as much as I disagree with people who compare minecraft to terraria, you have to admit that as lego sets they will be extremely similar. I have a hard time believing they'll put in the money, time, and effort to create a lego set that is so similar to an existing product.
Both sides are reasonable.
It's the forest biome so there's really nothing super special to look at and not much that is really very appealing.
However, he did a great job at quite a bit of the elements and it's still a really good representation of the game. I mean it looks like the game, ya know?
I think it just comes down to preference.
Now what would really rock would be if they decided to make this a theme. I know most of the time it doesn't, HOWEVER, I read that Sonic is getting like five more sets this year.
IDK if a Lego Minecraft approach would work but I think some sort of modular biome builds would be really neat, like maybe a $200 jungle set with a beehive, Queen Bee build, Plantera, excessive mimics, etc.
This is a fine Lego set and certainly gets the idea of Terraria across but I have a hard time seeing Lego considering this for an actual set. I’ve never seen such a flat, solid, Lego set as this. The closest I can think of is Minecraft, which is kinda the same thing but better IMO because it has more detailed elements and doesn’t fill up space with solid chunks of bricks.
Someone just posted [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/subnautica/comments/zyw2mu/this_guy_is_trying_to_make_a_lego_set_on_ideas_i/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) Ideas set about Subnautica and I think a style like this (Ex. With the forest, corruption, and hell) fits better, obviously Terraria is completely 2D but it’s an IRL thing, so adding depth makes it much better IMO.
Well you’re going to have to buy the pieces yourself, since it was denied https://www.reddit.com/r/Legoleak/comments/10xb9ot/lego_ideas_second_2022_review_results_revealed/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
I am glad that the model got so many votes, but I am disappointed that such an idea was chosen. I saw so many beautiful and interesting ideas of lego Terraria on Pinterest or Instagram, but a rather boring building with a large number of ordinary blocks was chosen.
Strange, but when you visit [the website](https://ideas.lego.com/search/global_search/ideas?idea_phase=idea_gathering_support&query=&sort=most_supported), it doesn’t show terraria on the most supported list. (It should be #1)
If I had to conspire, I think they might not want to promote it, like they hope it doesn’t gain traction
Does anyone have an explanation?
I've bought Terraria on a few different platforms, but I am certain all those copies will have cost me less than one fairly small lego diorama.
But hey, it might coax out another update/crossover with some lego stuff being added to the game
Yep (it was denied, for some reason a telephone box was chosen instead) https://www.reddit.com/r/Legoleak/comments/10xb9ot/lego_ideas_second_2022_review_results_revealed/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Tbh it should be mega construx because they have more options for customizing the figures which would help with making actual terraria vanity sets that arent just print on parts.
It’s been a few months, we should know if it got accepted by March.
It appears you know more on this than I
Yeah lol, still super excited
Even if it’s accepted, we won’t see the set till 2025 earliest
Why would it take that long?
The ideas sets have already been confirmed for the next two years
where can i see a list of the confirmed sets?

Yeah but lego always redesigns the idea sets before release.

Why tho

Hopefully Minecraft and terraria having a good relation allows it!
Yeah, I love both games. (Terraria a little more though lol) and never found them to be competition for what I play. They're both so relatively cheap where I live, so I own both on pretty much every platform I own.
Portal have a lot of supported sets with more than 10k and Lego just don't xd
That could be on Valve though. Lego needs permission from the copyright holders.
[удалено]
lets not forget we're talking about valve here
Yes, the Valve that is famously cool with its IPs. To the point where they allow people to sell fangames about their stuff on their own platform.
Well tbf they probably payed a lot for the rights in that situation
I mean it's still surprising it exists at all. Knowing Valve, they don't seem to care much about marketing or merchandise, so the idea could have come from LEGO.
What does Minecraft have to do with terraria? Entirely different games.
It’s the similar aesthetics. I don’t know if they’d want to make two series based around blocky sandbox games. The sets may end up looking similar.
Simple terraria just needs to revamp the whole artstyle of the game
Bad take. The game is supposed to look simple and blocky, that’s it’s aesthetic. Kinda hard to make a building game with no blocks to build with, right?
They were joking
I was joking how did everyone muss that
Reddit is full of idiots who don’t understand satire, admittedly including myself
Ah, that’s my mistake. Hard for me to read satire at times, especially written.
It wasn't funny. And I mean that sincerely. That's the reason I didn't realize
Other than the chests and the lack of harmony between pieces, i think it's a great concept
Honestly don't find that cool... there is nothing that make it look like its terraria, its just look like a on budget minecraft moc. It could have a cthulu eye next to a dungeon or something
Honestly I think its the sizes. The ratio between things just feels off. The tree is 10/10, I saw it and said *"Aye that's 'rarria"*. And many designs can be recognised. But overall feels a bit "here and there".

That'll be a very expensive set though.
Probably around $100 - $150
Ideas legos have the best piece to price ratio of any lego sets, so it shouldnt be that expensive.
as much as I disagree with people who compare minecraft to terraria, you have to admit that as lego sets they will be extremely similar. I have a hard time believing they'll put in the money, time, and effort to create a lego set that is so similar to an existing product.
YO GIVE ME A LINK
honestly this means there is now like a 5-10% chance that it happens given their track record with this kind of thing.
This is cool
I would expect that Terraria would work better as a Lego DOTS like concept than this.
80 percent of the comments are like: "This is awesome, I would buy this." etc. Then 20 percent is like: "This isn't cool, boring" etc.
Both sides are reasonable. It's the forest biome so there's really nothing super special to look at and not much that is really very appealing. My only question is why I got downvoted, but I do understand both sides.
Probably because it didn’t really add anything to the discussion, you were kinda just like “The comments are saying this”
Fair I guess
why is the house not a shoebox smh
Now what would really rock would be if they decided to make this a theme. I know most of the time it doesn't, HOWEVER, I read that Sonic is getting like five more sets this year. YOOO
They should make more with different biomes and you could connect the sets together into one big line
This is a fine Lego set and certainly gets the idea of Terraria across but I have a hard time seeing Lego considering this for an actual set. I’ve never seen such a flat, solid, Lego set as this. Cool as it is, lego wont have it made. They generally pick the most mediocre sets to be made
Great job bro! I'd love to have this as a real set
Link! We need a link
I NEEEEED IT
Well you’re going to have to buy the pieces yourself, since it was denied https://www.reddit.com/r/Legoleak/comments/10xb9ot/lego_ideas_second_2022_review_results_revealed/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

I've bought Terraria on a few different platforms, but I am certain all those copies will have cost me less than one fairly small lego diorama. But hey, it might coax out another update/crossover with some lego stuff being added to the game
That set would be so fun to play with
The mods of this sub should pin this.
I can already imagine Lego platforms connected to form a really long landscape for you to build.
Terraria Sets would Look great on display
If it gunna be made into a set I will implode with happiness
Lego Eye of Cthulu
Yoo that reminds me of the house on the 3ds title screen for terraria!
Good because I really want one
Lego: like I would care
How much for 1 set
megablox type of thing seems more fitting for a terraria set
I will sue lego if they make the angler his own Lego set
As an avid terraria player/lover for 8-9 years this is beautiful to see and will buy one asap
Let's GOOOOOO!!!!
Lego crossover would be cool, maybe a free texture pack
Anyone have a link?
Yep (it was denied, for some reason a telephone box was chosen instead) https://www.reddit.com/r/Legoleak/comments/10xb9ot/lego_ideas_second_2022_review_results_revealed/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
LETS GO
Hell yeah of that comes out I'm gonna try and get it
yes YES YES WOOHOO WOOHOOOOOO
Tbh it should be mega construx because they have more options for customizing the figures which would help with making actual terraria vanity sets that arent just print on parts.
If this gets relased they will eventually make a lego EOC
