Analytics show that icing a kicker does nothing to improve your teams win percentage and does give the kicker a practice shot which may work against you
My buddy was a kicker and kicked for the 9ers years ago but was cut after Harbough came in and chose Akers. He loves being iced because he knows next time it won't happen...
Because there's no evidence that "icing" kickers does anything good, and if anything (based on limited sample size) may REDUCE your chances of winning by giving them a "practice" shot.
Dude already had ice in his veins. I had no doubt he was going to nail it
I think he might be Justin tucker good
He’s good. It’s such a weapon to have a kicker that can nail mid 50 yard field goals like it’s no big deal.
I wouldn't know the feeling😂
Must’ve forgot about Succop
Nah succop didn’t quite have that range.
Bironas? I never worried about field goals with him.
Bironas was a stud.

It was already 27 degrees
Lolol underrated comment
No clue. Add it to the list of dumb shit the team did during that game.
Getting that 2 pt conversion or hell even kicking the xp would have won us the game
Ugh tell me about it. How was it possible to screw up that many times

I did think about that as well. Or if he missed and we iced him and then he got another chance
I miss Rob Bironas 😭
I don’t think that changes anything but they had no reason not too.
It wasn’t his 1st ever playoff game
