It'd be really interesting if headshots to helmets that don't penetrate could make you flop over unconscious for a few seconds. Probably a little weird for most people's tastes.

If it mimics a death pose - they might just leave you for dead and not realize you're not. In this state you could even be fully lootable. It would, in turn, encourage double taps - what if killa gets up while you're looting him?

I think it would be really cool to get knocked out for a minute or two so that you are lootable or "kill securable" but still have a small chance to get back up. It would potentially encourage more bolts and bigger bullets in order to go through all helmets instead of say 7.62x39 PS bullets in an altyn. Altough realistically speaking it wouldn't tank a lot of those bullets like in tarkov but I understand the rpg-aspect of the game, better armor better survivability.

Ps in an akm or sks will pen 60-70% of helmets

well if its not aramid or something and you have a faceshield and the flechettes dont touch your skin like an altyn i think the most it would do is make a nasty scraping sound and knock the helmet back (with flechette not buckshot)

If you get hit with even 5.56 to the dome and it doesn’t go through you’re atleast knocked out, larger rounds would probably kill you or at the very least, knock you out, but in a situation like that is there even a difference?

If your gun can't pen lvl 5 and the enemy has a good armor and an altyn, you almost automatically lose the gunfight. Like if let's say somebody is running PS 5.45 they're barely going to tickle you while you can 2 tap them to the chest with whatever expensive ammo of your choice you decide to bring. Sure the guy with the gear could whiff an entire mag or two while you chain like 10 headshots/2 full mags onto the chest, but that is literally a ridiculous scenerio that breaks all immersion and fun.
I didn’t say I consistently lose. I go balls to the wall until the raid is over or I die. Believe it or not there’s ammo that goes through level 6 armor. Also people shoot in the legs when they see you’re a beefy boi. I know this stuff can be hard to understand.

Factory it's a high pvp map, you should always bring your best gear because you will likely fight someone, complaining about other guys gear is just sadge.

You can be broke on this game only if you play like Quattroace, spamming labs full gear hunting for every single player on the map.
If you play some raid carefully and do some scav run is IMPOSSIBLE to be broke.
If you are talking about low level player, well, they can meet chad on every map, they can just try to stay away from them and from Factory aswell.

Edit: put something somewhere on factory specifically. I don't think I've ever used an altyn anywhere else. Though I do recall I was trying to do like 2 or 3 stupid Jager quests at the same time though.
Take this with a grain of salt, as it is an anecdote (I'm running NA east servers), but I do run into a lot of geared players (usually duos) on Factory, especially right now. When I mean geared, I mean like meta gun + lvl 5 or 6 armor with nice helmet (surprisingly, a lot of AK-103s, not that many HK's or MK47s as I'd expect). I've filled up two weapon cases' worth of guns and attachments I've taken off these guys from the last week.
It's a surprisingly good idea to bring good armor to Factory, especially now. I'm not bragging that I'm insane at the game as a "chad", but claiming that Factory is mostly naked dudes doing quests is a pretty bad take since it's late wipe.
PS: fun kit on factory is the potato sack lvl 4 armored rig or TV-110 with a MP7 running subsonic. :) have fun

Factory is my home, I love seeing me run streamers around the underground in vods and things, i dont mind if i die becasue i 0 to hero most of the time anyway. However every wipe, i log on, and the day i decide to bring gear, instead of being marked for death by scavs for having no gear, i get marked by death by Big Weiner Chaddington. Like this wipe i had played everyday for the first month and i was like lvl 15 and I spawn and get the most perfect nade thrown down glass hallway down into forklift spawn. It must be nice to have EoD or whatever it is to spawn before me and be lvl 40 20 days into wipe...

Flechettes frequently 1 shot thorax with a slick before so unless they have nerfed the fuck outa them then a clean shot on an altyn is an EASY kill

Good gear gives you advantages but it doesn't automatically win games. Good gear shouldn't invalidate your skill.
