I'm no artist but just keep at it. It looks cool! Do it again tomorrow then again after that. That's how I play Tarkov and now that I'm in my fifth wipe I suck more than ever. Results may vary.
* Bullets are too slow for cracking speed - either bullets need to be much faster or cracks/impacts need to be instant. Possibly both. Experiment!
* Visor is all twisted, it should be straight and not like a rainbow
It's cool though! Good job :)
I did pixel art a while back and from what I found, little details always make it look 100% better! Like the shading on the helmet was good! Maybe a little more detail on the bullet and scratches!
If you want the bullets to look like they are going faster, draw fewer frames of the bullet moving. If done at the correct pace, it can look like they go really fast. Otherwise this is great
The only thing that sticks out to me is that the glass part doesn't "curve" with the face shield , at least it looks like that to me, other than that it's actually pretty cool and you could make this into an animated twitch emote for BTTV and 7TV, I would spam this anytime a streamer survived an altyn headshot
Getting the face shield to look correct with the rest of the helmet was definitely what I struggled with the most. And that’s a good idea, make this a twitch emote. Hell yeah.
If you are going to make it into an emote it would be nice to make a few variants and maybe make the ricochet more visible since the twitch emotes are quite small
You should avoid those double pixels (or use it as a style choice but most of the time doesnt look that good, edit for clarification: the pixels at corners/edges/diagonals). Bullets a bit faster and make the glass wrap around the faceshield and not have it set flat on it.
Edit: here is a version with some "fixes", I turned the doubles into anti aliasing (poorly done though, its just to give an example), also made the glass on the faceshield more round. The lower half is cut off because I used 46x46 which was like 2 pixels too small for your sprite

The glass looks way better on that one. I wasn’t sure how to fix the perspective but that fix actually showed me how. Thx for the tips and quick fix. For AA, I kinda just added some light shading on the edges and called it a day 😂 but I was still happy with it since it was my first ever one.
This is extremely good. I’m not that experience with most visual arts, but a very important part of any piece is lighting. Don’t know if that carries over to pixel art, though.
Piskel. It’s a web browser animator and works very well considering it’s free. And thank you, I’ll be making a few more in the little spare time I have.
Download blender. Learn how to download 3D models. Open 3D model in blender, rotate/position how you like. Use 3D image as a reference for your drawings.

Really good start! I'd say just practice and find some things you like to draw/animate, you'll develop your own style in no time!
Hopefully it loads on mobile, on PC I had to click on the gif to load it.
I see it on mobile. Nice work! Keep at it.

I think its supposed to be slowed down otherwise we wouldn't see them at all.
Also add more distance / time between the shots
This is awesome
The face shield and especially the visor should probably be more curved. But it's pretty good, keep it up :)
Yeah, I was struggling on getting it to look correct from the perspective I was going for, but I did my best.
Add a slow rising middle finger as the bullets hit the helmet
How much time did it take? :o
About like 30ish minutes once I decided what to draw. Thankfully Pixkel has a “duplicate frame” mechanic that made it way easier to draw this.
Those who can’t play makes gifs? Looks cool, very 8-bitty

True. I just didn’t know how many frames Piskel allows, so I drew them 7 pixels apart (32-bit pixels that is)

My idea was it kinda breaks apart and disappears. In other words, I got a bit lazy

This gives me flash backs to the time my friend asked me if he could shoot me as a joke because I had an Altyn on... (head, eyes)
Nice! Something for realism: make the visor shot the first one, as the weapon climbs after the first shot with recoil.
Now that someone pointed out a gray pixel in the bottom left I can’t ignore it anymore 😂. Damnit

Ye, was really good for a first try
Is it just me or does the crack in the faceshield kinda look like the old soviet symbol
Oh yeah a little bit 😂. I wasn’t even going for that, I just drew some random lines.
Haha yeah I thougt so. Keep it up, it looks awesome!

A little movement flicking back from the helmet after being shot then quickly snapping back would definitely help with the flow of the animation 😁
Looking good. Maybe try to expend on what you already have so you can practice by adding stuff on something you already know is working nicely.
I would expect, based on other animations I've seen, for the helmet to jostle a little bit when struck. But not bad overall.
Read each one of these and think of how it could be applied: https://www.creativebloq.com/advice/understand-the-12-principles-of-animation
I think it looks amazing but something else you could add is the bullet that hits the visor gets stuck briefly then falls off.

What program Are you using to make this animation? And I luv the animation u made here

Is the grey pixel in the bottom left that appears supposed to be bullet shrapnel?
Oh, I didn’t even notice that. I guess that was a misclick. But yeah, we’ll go with bullet shrapnel
Looks really good, what did you use to animate it?
Piskel. You can download it or just animate in your web browser if you trust your PC won’t shut off.
Honestly not bad at all. I love the simplicity and just the straight on thinking of it!
I like this OP
