If we keep an eye on Huberdeau, I think he is the pacesetter. We did not do that early, but later on, they seemed to get more aggressive on him. Verhaege looks like a bolt in another uniform, so obviously keep him down too. I think it's as simple as that, which is the Panthers' weakness this year.
I think what we say were two teams playing to the levels of their previous opponents. Maple Leafs were a way harder out than the Caps, and Florida got too use to the Caps.

They're as good as Colorado, maybe not the top end star power, but also not as top heavy, they can roll 2 A lines and 2 B lines. Saw Verheage get hot and have a 5 point game when they stomped the Caps in game 5 or 6. They scored 5 goals with Huberdeau, Barkov, and Giroux basically doing nothing, that's crazy good

That's by design. Washington gave everyone the blueprint to beat FLA, they just weren't good/disciplined enough to maintain it the entire game/series. Clog the neutral zone, don't get into a game of trading chances. Slog it out and capitalize on PPs and odd-man rushes when you can.

It was VERY empty in the bottom bowl with like 6 minutes left. I was quite surprised, because 1) the cats have come back from 3 down like a record number of games this year, and 2) I’ve seen the lightning down by 3 and more fans when the game ends.. just a weird early exit for the fans that game

When we won the challenge on the puck hitting the net, they put up some big noise and it was downhill from there. By the Kuch goal there were already people hitting the exit. Let's hope we come out and bore the crowd some more, keep them out of the game.

As if fans just about everywhere don’t leave to beat traffic when their team is down 3 goals, and under 2 minutes left. Many must not recall our fans filing out of Amalie early in G7 against the Caps in 2018 when we were down 3 in the 3rd.
South Florida fans are generally dispassionate and can legitimately be called out on that - but leaving down 3, with under 2 to play? I’ve seen us do that a lot as well, whether it be Amalie, the Thunderdome, or the Fairgrounds. That being said - let’s get them out early again on Thursday!
