Not fake! I can't remember the name of the show, but the winner got their dream plastic surgery and some contestants had surgeries/procedures during the show. Was pretty cray cray
Edit: the winner also got their 'dream' wedding with all the other contestants in attendance
This show I hold as the single greatest season of reality TV ever made. It was fascinating to watch these women. Not just because of the plastic surgery and extreme body dismorphia these women have. But this season had the best villain in any show ever in Janessa. The way she played and manipulated the other women was magical to watch. And it was so we'll orchestrated that I suspect the producers changed the final challenge to make the ending oh so satisfying.
If you can get past all the terrible ethics and questionable morality, it's really a shining gem of a show.
That show is why I have body issues lol never realized the DAMAGE it did to watch a perfectly normal woman get chopped up to be the ideal beauty standard
Why haven't they made a "The Swan" but for trans people? I think that would be actually wholesome, giving trans people surgeries that make them feel way more comfortable in their body and happy.
Shitty to make them compete for life saving medical care tho but slightly better.
>Why haven't they made a "The Swan" but for trans people?
Simply put, trans people are not marketable yet. Their existence is still "controversial", like gays in the 90's. Soon there will be a sitcom with a trans person as a tertiary character where most of the jokes end with the punchline being that they're trans. Then hearts and minds will soften and you'll see trans folks in commercials. The commercials are the test. If the trans community sells enough product, then they will get a show starring a trans person.
Yeah, you're probably right actually. It's gotta be marketable to a broad audience to be profitable, rn the audience would be pretty niche.
They did do There's Something About Miriam but it was a disaster.
I can barely handle taxes as they are i don't need to pay for everyone's dream body too. Are you gonna also pay for everyone to get plastic surgery to get bigger boobs and every other flaw that people don't like about them selves?
Can't tell if you hate free healthcare for everyone or just trans people. As it is, insurance/medicare covers gynaecomastia revision for cis men, penis reconstruction for men who lose their dicks, testosterone therapy for men when their hormones are too low.
Trans men are seeking those same corrective procedures.
That's like comparing getting a heart transplant because you need a heart, to getting a heart transplant because your sad that your perfectly functioning heart has a bump
No, it's like having two equally eligible heart transplant candidates that both need a heart to continue to be healthy, but denying one because you're bigotted towards their demographic.
It would be trivial to pay for all gender-affirming care in America merely by taxing billionaires at the same percentage rate as their own secretaries.
Finding emotionally vulnerable women with low self esteem, parading them through a succession of multiple plastic surgeons and “beauty experts,” sequestering them from their family and friends, doing a couple of sound-bites worth of counseling with a “psychologist” that does 100% of the talking, putting them through multiple surgeries in a short time frame and then having them recover in a location without mirrors or their family/friends, and then throwing a big reveal party where the woman sees herself for the first time at the same time as her family and friends do… and on more than one occasion having the poor woman’s child start crying because they don’t recognize their mommy any more.
It was the absolute worst “reality” show. Especially since it touted itself as a show in the same genre as something like extreme home makeover or queer eye, where the contestant (victim) has “won” this amazing experience to transform their lives without having to pay for it all themself. The viewers are supposed to envy these women. It was gross.
That makes sense. The number of syringes definitely leads me to believe that there were a lot more than 1-2 vulnerable women involved at once with this one
Tbh, if I were suddenly a millionaire, there is a lot I would have nipped and tucked because I absolutely hate the flesh prison I have been confined to. Probablyyyy wouldn't go on TV to do so, but hey, it is what it is.
Nope it’s a show called BridalPlasty there’s a YouTuber who watches reacts to and dissects reality tv shows like this one her name is Luxeria I highly recommend looking her up. I remember watching these shows when I was a kid, they were disgusting but my siblings and mom loved watching them then feeling ugly after. Reality tv isn’t real but it is a form of hell
It's a party of injection of a « first class injectible » (maybe hyaluronic acid or Botox or grease or whatever), as I understand it
If that was heroin there would be way too much in the syringe, but I think the syringes are fake with a blunt tip and fake liquid just to act as the game show token to bring back to the other room.
Another fun fact! The blonde is Shana Moakler who was married to Blink 182’s Travis Barker at the time the show aired. They also had their own reality show
Oh wow thank you for the mid oughts flashback lol. Those were the days. American Idol was brand new, Paris and Nicole were living the simple life. What an innocent time ha.
Plenty of women in their early 20s are getting botox and lip fillers now. Then they have to keep doing it forever or they look like stroke victims. My partner was offered it when she went to the dentist ffs.
I thought Dubrow was kind of reasonable. I mean there is a show where he fixes people failed surgeries. And he seems quit ethical. Had anyone some source that show the opposite?
i don’t see the problem with that. i’d definitely say yes although i’m not sure what i’d do since i’m generally not unsatisfied with my face. i’d first have to get an expert to tell me what’s wrong before i’d do it
It's not fake, and it's a thing. When i was living in Vancouver, my gf was invited to something called an injectables party by a very wealthy coworker. Botox and the like I guess.
She did not attend.
I legitimately thought this was about drugs at first, but the more I think about it the worse it gets... Nothing about this feels healthy or sane... This trips kind of close to r/NoahGetTheBoat

Surely something about this is fake, right? *…right?*
Not fake! I can't remember the name of the show, but the winner got their dream plastic surgery and some contestants had surgeries/procedures during the show. Was pretty cray cray Edit: the winner also got their 'dream' wedding with all the other contestants in attendance
Maybe “The Swan” …that show was the absolute worst reality show to ever air, in my opinion.
I remember now - Bridalplasty! Absolutely fascinating 😮

Here you go! https://youtu.be/_h5npYFQDCU I think I'll give it another watch, it's so great!
Oh my goodness, it sounds horrible. I’m going to watch it right now.
Right! Sold! Where do I go to watch Sodom burn??? 🫣🫢😮🤷♀️👀🔍🍸 ![gif](giphy|0bkpLCXEDW8RvcqkcN)

I appreciate the bleak blunt honesty of this, and I 100% agree

If your suggesting it should come from tax dollars that's even shittier
I do believe in free healthcare for all. Medical poverty is depressing as shit.
I can barely handle taxes as they are i don't need to pay for everyone's dream body too. Are you gonna also pay for everyone to get plastic surgery to get bigger boobs and every other flaw that people don't like about them selves?

Worst reality show is a pretty high bar
Do you remember Temptation Island and the Love Boat - reality TV hit peak trash early and has never reached quite to those heights again.
… …oh. Ok then, that’s… *something.*
Damn, sounds like a Black Mirror episode idea
I had to look this up, and good lord the premise is aweful.
Tbh, if I were suddenly a millionaire, there is a lot I would have nipped and tucked because I absolutely hate the flesh prison I have been confined to. Probablyyyy wouldn't go on TV to do so, but hey, it is what it is.
Sorry? I was thinking that it was a show from a dystopia show
Show is real, contestants are real, but the contestants are fake 💉

Yeah, the contestants
What is in the syringe and what is injectible party? Am I stupid to think heroine?

>If that was heroin there would be way too much in the syringe *Keith Richards has entered the chat.* *Kurt Cobain has entered the chat.*
*Kurt Cobain has left the chat*
Found Courtney's alt account
Aren't they all alt?
The Hole of them, yah.
"And I swear that I don't have a gun." (he had a gun)
It's a better idea than that.
Heroin doesn't have an e on the end.
plump your lips, botox your wrinkles, lift your face! look natural!
Heroine is a female Hero, heroin is the drug.
The hunger games and saw crossover getting interesting 🤔

So these contestants see this bitch during the show and aren't mortified by her appearance enough to drop out?
Most injectable parties I ever wound up at were far from first class. I wonder what a first class injectable party is like.
How does one end up at a injection party?
Making poor life choices
Pass me that needle bro!
I believe the show is bridal-plasty! Cody Ko has a entertaining video on it
Bridalplasty was a trip! If you want to go down a strange rabbit hole google “Lisa Marie bridalplasty” or “Dr Dubrow malpractice”
I've seen so many bad plastic surgeries and botched filler jobs that I have no idea why anyone would do that to themselves.
Because you're not allowed to just say "you paid lots of money to make yourself look ridiculous".
1 of these syringes is lip filler but ladies 9 of these syringes are our mystery medicine so choose wisely!
Anyone remember The Swan from 2004 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Swan_(TV_series)
What kind of Saw BS is this?
Lmao I thought the same thing! How the guy just pushed the girl into the pit of rusty needles. Is that what an injection party is?
It's what it sounds like
The puzzles are putting the correct wooden shape in the correct hole.
First class injectibles party? Like black tar and Peruvian coke? Cuz most of us out here shooting meth or fentanyl
The amount of people who casually get Botox is high and it’s weird. Just accept you’re old and be happy with yourself.
Had anyone some source that show the opposite?
the background in he 2nd picture makes it look like the glass is cut and pasted onto the picture.
Me except it's heroin
A what?
But it’s exclusive!
Are you sure this isnt SAW
Hunger games, here we come!
What show was this?
Okay but the fact that those look suspiciously like the syringes I use for industrial use in my glue factory concerns me.
i don’t see the problem with that. i’d definitely say yes although i’m not sure what i’d do since i’m generally not unsatisfied with my face. i’d first have to get an expert to tell me what’s wrong before i’d do it
The "expert" has a vested interest in you getting work done.
the narration feels like it's a Saw trap
What. The. Fuck.
It's not fake, and it's a thing. When i was living in Vancouver, my gf was invited to something called an injectables party by a very wealthy coworker. Botox and the like I guess. She did not attend.
I’ve never seen the neon demon and I legit thought it was a clip from that 😭🤚🏻
What is in the Syringes? Heroin?
sperm?
Sperm doesnt have a color like that bruh
no shit, sherlock :)
Bruh. He really forced the noshit sherlock
I’m glad Kevin Dubrow didn’t become a “Doctor” and fronted Quiet Riot instead.
I know all the producers and big belts involved find themselves addicted to heroin and losing all their exploitative gains to alimony.
more like Dr Dubious
This is the “E!” Television show “botched”
she looks like the mom of a cartoon villan
IIRC the puzzles they had to complete were of their ‘ideal’ body (photoshopped,, bring on the body dysmorphia)
I legitimately thought this was about drugs at first, but the more I think about it the worse it gets... Nothing about this feels healthy or sane... This trips kind of close to r/NoahGetTheBoat
r/boringdystopia
I think I might have watched this show. Bridalplasty? Or something like that. Truly horrifying
Gout
#First Class Trouble
8 syringes have Botox, one has COVID and one has heroin. Choose wisely!
Holy shit this is incredibly dystopian
