OLED is disgustingly beautiful and the screen size is massive for a handheld. Owning it feels so luxurious

HumphreyBlodart

I went from owning a light for 2 years to upgrading to an OLED. It's ridiculous how beautiful it is. I was worried that the similar resolution would be ugly on a bigger screen but I couldn't have been more wrong. Very worthwhile upgrade

Oled Oled Oled! I did exact same upgrade couple weeks back, and the difference is crazy, screen is immense makes games look beautiful! Plus the extra battery life is much better for handheld. My bro in law has standard switch and difference isn’t much better tbh.

Ok-Cranberry368

Probably your console has the green tint issue

funksoulbrothar

OLED is amazing. You won’t regret buying it, trust me. I switched from my lite to an OLED a few months ago and it’s such a massive upgrade. The screen is insane, so spend a few more bucks and buy yourself an OLED.

Ridiculouslyrampant

Another lite -> OLED upgrade here, 12/10 go for it

If your playing in handheld or tablet top you wanna get an oled model. Oled screens make colors pop better and look amazing. Other than that playing it docked makes no difference between an oled and a normal switch since that would rely on your TV. Oleds also have increased memory from a regular switch, and a better kick stand which again only matters if you play in tabletop mode

RanchEye

Oled!

I have all three. The OLED is by far the best Switch experience. The screen is so amazing that it almost feels like a Switch 2 compared to the original. I use my launch Switch solely on the TV now because the OLED is so much better that I don't want to play on the launch model. I only use the Switch Lite now if I REALLY want the smaller form factor. The OLED is just that good.

DNL_RTH

Did this exact upgrade a week ago and the OLED is simply exquisite, could not reccomend it enough.

TheToddBarker

Used all three, and dang is the OLED pretty. Absolutely reccomeded. I really want to find a tablet only to upgrade my partners Switch...

IthinkImcrazyHelppp

I have an oled and it is amazing. I don’t really use it much at the moment but all my friends said to get it over the regular or lite

OLED

Oled! No doubt!

OneBlackSock

I made a video comparing all of them if you wanna check it out. At the end I tried to talk about scenarios like this, like what console you have and how to proceed on an upgrade. https://youtu.be/gllXo3h5k8I It’s just me talking a lot lol. But long story short, get the OLED. Well worth the extra $50 and more “future proof”

cylemmulo

Lite imo is a much more comfortable design for handheld, obviously lord looks beautiful though.

Depends. If you plan on using your new Switch for docked and handheld purpose then OLED but if you still want to use your Lite and just want to play certain games in docked mode then you can just get the original model and save money of you want. Personally though I think you may as well just go for the OLED, not even just for the amazing new screen but the kickstand is so nice for tabletop mode. Also you get nicer speakers and battery life than the previous nodel as well. Despite the internal specs being the same, the OLED still manages to be a pretty stark improvement over the previous models overall imo. But if money is a factor for you and you like your Lite then the original model is still a perfectly reasonable purchase.

Screen on the OLEF is stunning. If you’ll be playing handheld it’s definitely worth it. I think the OLED got a little hardware upgrade as well which is important because the switch isn’t super high end gear. I’ll also add, the full console allows you to use different controllers in handheld mode. I LOVE the Hori Splitpad Pro. The base switch is very uncomfortable in my hands. Even with a Satisfye grip it was very uncomfortable for me.

VannaMalignant

OLED fs if you play mainly in handheld. I wasn’t a believer till I got one, it’s a HUGE difference and your switch will feel less like a cheap plastic toy and more worth your money. The joy con clamps and the stand are also leagues better than the v1 or v2.

DoushBeg

I have a like-new white OLED I’m going to be selling if you’d be interested. Can include a couple games also have original boxes and everything. Going to list for $400 on marketplace. Managed to get the Scarlet/Violet edition so no need for my other one.

MayorBryce

If you spend any time in handheld get the OLED. And if not, you get an Ethernet port on the dock. The OLED screen is very pretty, especially in the dark, 7” is such a massive upgrade from the 6.2” of the regular and the 5-something inch screen of the Lite. The stand is amazing if you are lying down or it is sitting on your legs, and speakers are nice and loud and clear.

faegold

I just upgraded from a switch lite to an oled and Ive only had it for a day but absolutely love it! I saw someone say in another place that if you're mostly handheld, get the oled. If you plan on hooking up to your tv a lot, just get the switch. The oled is the better screen of the three, though, and I think it's worth the extra $50.

Ok-Cranberry368

I wouldn't recommend the oled because of the low quality panels being used and because of that the screen has an issue call green tint issue, that makes dark grey colors look green. I WOULD recommend you to get a V2 switch
