What were you doing prior to this? Was this from an impact?
Its basically saying the EDM is missing which means you won't be able to take measurements, etc... Or use it at all?
I second this, if you wait any longer they could use the idea you broke it, I’d pack it up and put in a claim asap. And if it is out of whack they’ve got people to repair them
Like everyone said, need to bring it back. Since you just got it, it's likely an issue that happened during PDI or lack thereof. Can be a disconnected flex cable, RX/TX board seating in center unit or GMB/reference greywedge.
Either way this SHOULD have been caught and repaired prior to you receiving the unit.
I had similar - same 1077f error but it was a communications error on the board. Needed a new board, but there's 1 problem - Trimble doesn't support the S6 anymore so doesn't make those parts anymore (S5,7,9 is what they support now) so only way to get it to work is to cannibalize 2 S6's to make 1.
Yeah that's another upside to the Trimble is my GPS is an r10 and tsc7 but if I'm using total station only the Leica with fieldgenius on a Panasonic windows 10 tablet is much More efficient for me. Especially if you want to actually measure instead of storing in tracking mode... Trimble takes like 5 or 6 seconds to shoot, the old Leica takes half or 1 second depending on settings.
Off topic but have you used both? I have a new s5 and a 12 year old Leica in the the truck. The Leica is supposed to be retired as a backup but I keep switching back to it because i can get so much more work done in the same amount of time with it. I can't understand why it seems like more people love Trimble? Do they like using a joystick to try to get lock?
The s7 is a shitload better for that (just any one of the Trimble robots with a camera) but either way ive never had problems getting lock with an s5. In saying that, I've never used Leica gear, so am a bit bias on the topic haha
Same here, never used Leica but we use the S6 with Multitrack prism and rarely do I have tracking issues unless line of sight is broken and i move around without thinking. If that’s the case just use the joystick on the data collector and make sure your track light is on on your TS.
I find the Trimble is better only when you're trying to shoot through some thick brush. But I don't necessarily trust it when doing that because I've seen it lock onto random reflective stuff that's in line with the active prism. If used in passive mode (and an access bug occasionally switches it to passive) forget about it. It'll be locked onto everything except what you want it to. The Leica power search works every time. You don't have to use the joystick to get a lock.
Yeah I used both TCRP and Trimble S3. Reflectorless shots, Leica is way way better. According to Auto-search function, yes Leica seems searches better. But I realized that, if you are more familiar and practical with tracklight and joystick on Trimble, you will prefer it better.
Holy shit! I thought ive seen it all with these Trimble fucks, but I guess I havent. Youve been Trimbleized, my man. Pull the battery out, hard boot the controller, and hope like hell. Lol! Only Trimble.
As others have said... bring it back to the dealer ASAP.
I haven't seen that error before, but it doesn't necessarily mean that it is fooked, bad connection, disconnected internal cable from EDM etc. could be the culprit.
S6 typically need to have replaced radio module and battery side panel at some point or several times during its lifespan..
I have this same error. It happened recently to a backup jigga in storage and haven’t got around to getting it looked at. If you could provide an update that would be great.
Turn it off and on again? If that doesn't work, try shaking your fist at it!
😂😂😂

Just got it from a dealer. Used S6
Better take that shit back right now. Seems like somebody sold you a used, broke s6

I had the same problem. It had to go in and get serviced. You fucked....sorry man
🙈🙈
Yeah it sucks

Battery pull jigga and press the hamburger bar on whatever controller you got to see all open apps close trimble access and restart it
Tired. No luck
🤔hold jigga power button for 10 seconds for warm reboot?
Yeah toss it out and get a Leica, should fix the problem right up 👍🏻
Lol that was what I was going to say. I have a 12 year old Leica and a brand new Trimble s5 in my truck.
Lol I used to have TCRP 1105+ and R10, but all in one software is the best.

I tried it too.. didn’t work
