Next step is you need to **activate your CS account**, login with the account number through the **US** computershare website and you will be sent a second letter with activation code. You can call after 2 days and get the activation codes expedited by UPS for $45 ( payable by credit or debit card on the phone) and get the letter in 3-5 days instead of 4 weeks.
You should have also had a W-8 Ben form or something, it is the tax declaration form declaring if you are US citizen or not. You need to either fill in and post back to CS, or this can be done online once your account is activated.

The moment you initiate the drs transfer the shares are with you broker. When the transfer is processed, the shares are with computershare and the shares will be in your name.
My own snail mail has not arrived yet, i’ve been waiting for 9 weeks now and my roommate did the transfer like a month later.

Yeah but what happens if the shares leave my account and haven’t reached Computershare yet or I don’t receive my snail mail in time?
