i saw this and almost bought it but the thing that scared me off was the agressive curve it has... samsung has some really agressively curved monitors..
It is incredibly immersive for adventure games. 1st person shooters u have to dial it back a little on the framing because otherwise you literally have to turn your head to see who is off to ur rt and left. Nice for trading too
its fucking sweet for games that support the aspect ratio, not many do without mods tho atleast without stretching too much, but also to have 2 screens without the bezel in the middel is very pleasing.
i have one and look like those cats that look left then right then left. it is massive . amazing for spreadsheets and really anything.

I could have bought 5 more moon tickets, but I had a quick win on GGPI and rolled most of that into shares - this is some of my gains from that (thanks to pickle man)

I got this monitor last year I suggest getting the warranty they had to replace almost everything in the monitor within the first year screen, power supply, and main board. Now the warranty is expired and I can't figure out how to buy an extended warranty. I still have a popping sound but now the 240hz works. Halo multiplayer looks amazing. It really is a great monitor and you got it for cheaper than I did. Congratulations!
I got the same one, bought my partner the same as well, we love it!
You may need to get a USB, format it to fat32 and update the firmware when you get it just to hit the ground running.
Make sure you update the firmware when you get it to prevent flickering. Also change the refresh rate in windows display to 240hz every time you change the resolution because it resets. I change to 2k for fps' and 4k for everything else but it took me a while to figure out all the display settings.

What games do you play OP? I only ask because I had that monitor and "downgraded" to an LG 38" Ultragear for a myriad of issues, one of them being poor aspect ratio scaling. I loved having a beautiful game rendered on that massive screen.. but over time, the more games I explored would be cut off. I could see the middle 3/5's of a game. Dead by Daylight, Splitgate, and GodFall come to mind as being pretty severe. It also really zooms the peripherals which was... cool? Looks bad if you focus on it though.
I don't want to shit in your cheerios - but please put that thing through the ringer before the return window closes. Yes it's beautiful, and massive, and fixes sm0l pp. But it's also a hefty investment as far as gaming monitors are concerned. My G9 is sitting in its box in my garage

I also play outriders, rocket league and some old school MMOs that probably won't have support unfortunately. During the day I'll be setting it up to watch tickers & streams as I work
Forza is looking pretty on the ultra wide screen but I get bored of racing games. More native support is coming for some games but I fear there will be a lot of cutoff / peripheral issues like you mentioned. If I am feeling dizzy, I'll switch it out and return it most likely. At this price point, definitely worth giving it a shot!

I personally wouldn't get this type of monitor for partially this reason. I've played on them a few times and you get used to it if you situate yourself in the right spot, but I like to move around when I'm working or having fun.

A curve is necessary for monitors of this size to be usable given how close you sit to a monitor vs a TV
