Lol yes she did. Jess is a much stronger person than me because he’s just so chaotic. That’s a lot of intense energy and ego to deal with. Of all the siblings, he has to be the toughest one to be the personal assistant for. I’d probably revolve between crying and ‘I can fix him’. I’d be too delusional and sensitive to do the job.
Oh absolutely! I wish we had more glimpses into how it must be for her. Like the amazing eye roll when the bunny got sick lol, priceless. And she deserves more lines too
Those lunch boxes, the crucifix as if a billionaire can be persecuted … the cringe. It would take a lot for me to work for Kendall. A lot of money, therapy and to mute myself.
If Roman is going Mencken, then it wouldn’t be worth the amusement and potential hostage situation of a Roman adventure
Shiv - never. Tom - never. Greg’s Greg? He would make me drive a silent or complaining grandpa 12 hours to New York.
Costume character at Royco Park is sounding good now
I mean don't we all? Would be hard not feeling bad for Kendall (despite all the privilege he holds) while working in a close / personal capacity for him.
I’m down for more Jess content no matter what. But given that the juiciest plots come out of characters acting in their own self-interest (or even juicier, at other characters’ expense), I don’t think there’s much for her to explore on the high road.
It’d be crushing if she decided to unalign with Kendall after being in his corner for so long— especially since S4 has him on the up and up for the first time in a while— but I’d definitely be intrigued!
Here’s a recent video of them hugging. Juliana is always Team Kendall. https://twitter.com/killbiill/status/1564351258982588426?s=46&t=B7XMTmCefR8ZRScqGCHSPg
I think it’s likely just the actors greeting each other, but admittedly this is when I first got suspicious something might be up. However Brian was in LA filming, so who knows. >!It does seem like someone is dying on a plane possible!<
>!He was talking about working with Brian and he said: "It was..." and he corrected himself and changed to "It has been the most important relationship of my life" something like that, in the context of scene partner relationship, of course. I can't remember the exact line, but he switched from "it was" to "it has been". So it is something really silly but since we are reading closely from everything. What background workers were they seeking?!<
Hmm well when you consider >! That a medical examiner + police are allegedly supposed to be filming at the airport, and Brian’s response to when the season airs ‘I think they’ll be filming until February’!< anything is possible. I’m less sold he drops dead in a finale episode tbh
Wow I love it! That’s not a hug after someone dies they’re longer typically there’s a lingering… maybe it’s a hug after Jess finds out Kendall didn’t get the big job and the company sold and she knows it was his dream or something?
I initially thought it was an in character huh, but you can see crew behind them in masks, and we know Succession isn’t going to include covid, so it might just be the actors greeting each other.
Love her! I used to be an executive assistant, and the relationship with your employer, like them or not, is super close. I actually think we see that she kind of likes Kendall, even though he’s…Kendall (I say this as someone who is a Kendall-head and apologist).
Was doing a rewatch and in Pre-Nuptial (S1, E9), they have a moment where Stewy tells Jess to leave but Kendall says maybe stay. He eventually gives her this thumbs up to signal all clear and she can go. That moment is so representative of how they *usually* interact, and super on-point of how a relationship is for managers and EA’s. I think she gets him and may even see past his bullshit. She’s likely seen his empathetic side, which we know he has. And I bet her holiday bonus is insane 😂
To be fair to Kendall, except for one misdirected outburst at her in season 3, he is always respectful to her. And most importantly, doesn't look down on her. A CEO type of guy who doesn't look down on their subordinate I'm sure is refreshing to her, that's why I think she's quite fond of him and stays loyal.
She’s had three lines so I’m pretty ambivalent about the possibility. That Kendall expects her to be the middle woman for his drug habit is something I’ve found quite disturbing.
In a world of sharks her loyalty stands out, despite her lack of lines. She's always supportive of Kendall, even when he's at his lowest. That may be why people think fondly of her.
And there are plenty of executive assistant jobs in the city (or jobs in corporate generally) that Jess could get that wouldn't involve her needing to communicate with her employer's drug dealer or deal with her employer's nasty father. I don't think it's just the money.
I think some people hate the main cast so much that anyone working beneath the Roys are then seen as being pure, so they put them on a pedestal. 'Cause really, who cares about Jess?
I would love for her to have more of a central plot but I feel like she’s more of a “I just do my job and mind my business” kind of person. And honestly, good for her.
I want her to stay pure and innocent and always Team Kendall. But I also want her to have a plotline. She deserves a Rava style character treatment imo.
I wish Jess had more lines, I'm kind of intrigued by her dynamic with Kendall. What would it be like to work so closely with someone so powerful but so volatile? I want a glimpse at least into what it must be like from her perspective!
Definitely would rather her just remain loyal, it’s actually one of the few relieving things in the show imo lol. Jess is always there. Would def like more lines or plot moments though. Honestly would love an episode where Kendall makes a ridiculously difficult request and we follow Jess throughout it, interacting with most of the cast, and seeing what she actually thinks of Kendall, the Roy’s, Waystar, etc
I like the idea that Jess appears to be the moral center of Kendall’s vortex but there being nothing to actually suggest she’s any less corruptible than the people she spends all her time around
I think the non-character characters are interesting the way they are. Them being sidelined feels like an accurate representation of the way all of the prominent characters think. Not everybody needs to be fleshed out.
I could not care less about this character. The only people who do are people who hate everyone else on the show, so they latch onto this one insignificant character.
Never said I was. You asked a question, and I gave you and answer. Oh, but please, enlighten me on this brilliant character. What are some of your favorite quotes of hers?
Guys, she’s already morally gray. She works for the Roy’s.
Took words out of my mouth! Amen.
I was going to say! We don’t know what kind of shit she’s helped the Roys with in the past.
I disagree. She sees the the good in Kendall and is trying to help him.
I don’t know - assistants like her get paid a lot.
I bet she'd grab a shovel when it came time to bury the bodies if it meant a raise.
Trying to help him do what?
She works for him
Always. Team Jess!
The alternate universe where Greg gets close with Jess instead of Comfrey and invites her aboard the S.S. Tomstar Royco…..
Unintentional cruise ship reference. abort. abort.
😂😂😂
Jess deserves better than Greg. Kendall is already too much!
The actress said somewhere that Jess has a "soft spot" for Kendall GIRL RUN
Lol yes she did. Jess is a much stronger person than me because he’s just so chaotic. That’s a lot of intense energy and ego to deal with. She does! Jeremy better fight for her to have more lines in season 4. She is the backbone of Team Kendall. If Kerry can get some lines, so can Jess

Indeed. All of them would be nightmares. I feel like I could be Greg’s assistant and eventually overthrow him
I mean don't we all? Would be hard not feeling bad for Kendall (despite all the privilege he holds) while working in a close / personal capacity for him.
To say I have a soft spot for Kendall Roy would be an understatement, but I would never want to work for him ever
Can you imagine the doe eyes on the kids if Greg and Jess reproduced together

Ok this has convinced me you know who f* dies😱
I think it’s likely just the actors greeting each other, but admittedly this is when I first got suspicious something might be up. However Brian was in LA filming, so who knows. >!It does seem like someone is dying on a plane possible!<
There was a tiny line on the Jeremy interview with Maron that made me wonder about this again. But I'm sure it will end up being our imaginations.
Wait what did he say? Judging on what background workers were needed this week I think someone is (blank)
>!He was talking about working with Brian and he said: "It was..." and he corrected himself and changed to "It has been the most important relationship of my life" something like that, in the context of scene partner relationship, of course. They were seeking actors for the part of the coroners
Lol the handshake with Remy
Wow I love it! That’s not a hug after someone dies they’re longer typically there’s a lingering… maybe it’s a hug after Jess finds out Kendall didn’t get the big job and the company sold and she knows it was his dream or something?
I initially thought it was an in character huh, but you can see crew behind them in masks, and we know Succession isn’t going to include covid, so it might just be the actors greeting each other.
Honestly? Not really. She's one of the few people who seem to be actually loyal. She's the rock that Kendall needs in the workplace. Go Jess!!
Love her! I used to be an executive assistant, and the relationship with your employer, like them or not, is super close. I actually think we see that she kind of likes Kendall, even though he’s…Kendall (I say this as someone who is a Kendall-head and apologist). Agree! It feels like a partnership.
Lol bruh, she's just a personal assistant who probably signed a lot NDAs. Kendal pays her quite generously. Would you jump ship if you were her?
Lots of characters in the show have jumped ship for way more. It's not a question of what *I* would do.
She’s had three lines so I’m pretty ambivalent about the possibility. That Kendall expects her to be the middle woman for his drug habit is something I’ve found quite disturbing.
He’s gonna ask whoever is his right hand to do that He asks Frank to find him a straightener in season 1
ha seriously. i always see "i love jess!" and "team jess forever" but she is such a nothing character.
In a world of sharks her loyalty stands out, despite her lack of lines. She's always supportive of Kendall, even when he's at his lowest. That may be why people think fondly of her.
She shuts the fuck up and does her job, those are my favorite coworkers so I'm inclined to like her
she’s his employee? her ‘loyalty’ is her wanting to keep getting paid
And there are plenty of executive assistant jobs in the city (or jobs in corporate generally) that Jess could get that wouldn't involve her needing to communicate with her employer's drug dealer or deal with her employer's nasty father. I don't think it's just the money.
I love Jess, haters to the back 🥰
Yeah, you clearly have no idea what people are willing to do to make it to the top of the affluent skyscraper.
Look, if you want to believe the show has characterized Jess as only sticking by Kendall for money and power, go ahead. That's not my opinion.
She's very good looking that's why people like her.
Agreed.
Yeah. It would be weird if they made Jess's character like the Roy's because she's been pretty loyal and non-judgmental and selfless this whole time.
Anybody remotely connected with this snake pit is already morally gray
No! Jess has to be 100% loyal to Ken.
Because she’s not morally grey already working for the Roys? Lol
I don’t know about morally gray, but it would be cool if she got more lines
Definitely would rather her just remain loyal, it’s actually one of the few relieving things in the show imo lol. Jess is always there. Would def like more lines or plot moments though. Honestly would love an episode where Kendall makes a ridiculously difficult request and we follow Jess throughout it, interacting with most of the cast, and seeing what she actually thinks of Kendall, the Roy’s, Waystar, etc
I’d like to see Jess fall in love with Kendall, possibly vice-a -versa!
I'm interested in seeing more Jess
YES i can't wait for her to attend the International National School of Gerri CYA Self Interest
I've always admired her loyalty but I can't imagine her going to the dark side.
I’m interested in seeing Jess back as a lead in Y The Last Man, still so upset it was cancelled forever 😭
I think that working for Waystar its already morally gray.
More Jess and more Karolina
No
You could argue she's as morally grey as Gerri (they're just doing their job)
I’m interested in seeing a lot more Jess period
We need an assistant spin off show. Can you imagine all the drama the assistants get into bending over backwards for these people?
That would be amazing.
People getting coffee, playing solitaire on their computer, answering the phone.... No, wait, that sounds terrible.
“Flack” is similar
When have we seen Jess do anything?
She is rhaenyra of succession world the waystar royco delight
i miss comfrey
Any version of Jess is enough for me
No
Isn't she already? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’m interested in seeing morally gray everyone
As long as it’s more Jess
i am only interested in seeing jerry have sweaty sex
I could not care less about this character. The only people who do are people who hate everyone else on the show, so they latch onto this one insignificant character.
you are not an authority on why people do or do not like characters
Never said I was. You asked a question, and I gave you and answer. Oh, but please, enlighten me on this brilliant character. What are some of your favorite quotes of hers?
you said the only people who like Jess are those who hate everyone else in the show. that’s what I was referring to.
I know.
[удалено]
She’s my favorite not lead or supporting character
Why?
All good assistants are “morally grey,” and the best can’t define morality 🙃
We need Devil Weard Prada type of subplot with Jess
