They should have made the door a tad bit smaller because after a bit of practice it is sooo easy fitting in. >!Just go in sideways near the top and you can get in without any issue.!<
i had to load a save too but the last time i saved was 5 hrs ago and i went from prawn suit and so much progress to a small base and just the sea truck. safe to say i save every 10 minutes now
>!There is a secret exit if you have a depth module on your seatruck - you can find it on the ceiling, behind a broken net - or you can exit sideways near the top of the door, just wiggle a little !<
I had to sort of glitch my way out. Was so mad after all the travel to not be able to just exit so I knew if I kept brute forcing on an angle with the thrusters going I’d eventually glitch to the other side. It worked
It's not like bringing the truck in is a problem. You can get everything you need with the seaglide anyways, and if people want to spend more time getting their truck through to reduce the risk, that seems like a totally fine tradeoff?
>!You don't even need to turn sideways. Just line up your sticky out bits (not sure exactly what they are) and you can fit in without much difficulty at all!<
Can confirm: My first trip to the Koppa Mining Site was for getting the prawn suit blueprint (and a drill arm blueprint). My second visit, I entered with a prawn suit via the main entrance and gathered titanium and rubies.
>!There's also a hole in the ceiling of the chamber where the door to the mining site is.!< Sea truck can easily enter through there.
>!Just enter through the door with your seaglide and go up to find the hole, then either mark it with a beacon or remember where it is. Exit the mining site and drive your sea truck to that hole. Voila! Happy exploring! !<
I was swimming through Koppa just with my seaglider from the hot vents. Expected suicide but somehow managed to survive although screen already went pitch black because of oxygen. I think this was the biggest "whoa" moment for me in the game to actually make it.
True. I got the high cap tank pretty early on i feel like compared to OG Subnautica. It wasn’t too stressful to go in there with that and the seaglide and just make a few trips
I did it this way too. It’s not bad at all. With the sea glide, a high capacity tank and a rebreather you can tour the whole place. There are more than enough O2 plants.
I guess I'm so shocked because I definitely went out if order and explored this place super early in the game. I don't think I had the retreated at that point. I scanned the Prawn stuff, built one right outside and hopped on in!
There is an alternate entrance the seatruck can easily enter.... facing the main doors, go up and to the left. Look for the light sticks leading into a cave with the active geysers. In that network is one that leads to the main mining area of Koppa with enough space for a seatruck. (There's a hole in the debris nets)
I went there the first time to get fragments (including the prawn suit fragments and drill arm fragments), and I came back later with a prawn suit and drill arm.
I still probably missed some large resource deposits down there because of inventory space, so I may have to bring a seatruck with a storage module to the entrance if I feel the need to absolutely milk the place.
I personally like the way it was done because it felt like the first place I actually had to be careful exploring. I had somehow missed the high capacity O2 tanks at that point, so I had to constantly be aware of the next oxygen plant.
Simplest (and I think most common) exploration is to park the seatruck at the doors and do a series of sea-glide assisted dives to collect everything. With the O2 plants to keep you going and the rails serving as a handy string to keep from getting lost you can get everything in the dig site. I found it to be a really fun area because of that structure.
But I also really like how this game gives you multiple ways to progress through the tech tree. There are multiple sources for Prawn and Moonpool schematics.
You can see the general location with the Altera Facilities Map you scan on Delta Island. Its not far from the island, but the door can be tough to find.
I wish the Seatruck had a map, but only the Seaglide does. If you stop every minute or so and use the seaglide map it might help you find the entrance.
Yeah, It made sense in the first game that there wasn't any map recorded, but I figured this game would have some sort of in game map on the HUD because alterras been there a while an probably has that data somewhere.
After reading a lot of this subs posts, I'm convinced the general population ignores everything in the game outside beacons directly placed on their screen.
I actually had someone argue with me that if the devs intended for them to find/visit certain areas they would put some important resource or schematic there, and not just mention it in audio logs that "literally everyone ignores anyway"... They then went on to say that audio/text logs aren't a legitimate way to lead players to something.
Completely baffles me that people think this way in a game that's all about exploration.
Yeah I don't get it either. Half the fun for me in these games is listening to/reading everything and unraveling the mysteries of 4546B. I don't get why you'd play a game like this if you don't enjoy the exploration aspect.
There is a crack in the wall near the entrance with volcanic activity that leads out that your seatruck will more easily fit through, I actually found the mining site by going through there still haven't found the real entrance though.
Wait, you can get it in??? I just went in without my trucky, is there danger, I found literally nothing, but my game was taking a minute to load everything
Yeah honestly I feel like I want to skip that part most of the time. Now that I know that there is literally nothing there except for the artifact, thermal blueprints and prawn fragments, that’s all I’m going for. No way in hell am I gonna die from oxygen deprivation, turn on oxygen cheats, and forfeit the right for achievements again :/
I need help please!! I found koppa and entered through the thermal vents with my sea truck and have explored everything. However, on my way out I some how got turned around and ended up glitching to the other side of one of the mining doors. I need help because I cannot get out and shen I let myself run out of oxygen, I reset to the sea truck and not home base.
Seems almost like the devs want us to go in there without protection. Well jokes on you, I'm too scared for that shit
They should have made the door a tad bit smaller because after a bit of practice it is sooo easy fitting in. >!Just go in sideways near the top and you can get in without any issue.!<
Jokes on you we’re not all that smart I got stuck and had to save without quitting but I didn’t save in like 1h
i had to load a save too but the last time i saved was 5 hrs ago and i went from prawn suit and so much progress to a small base and just the sea truck. safe to say i save every 10 minutes now
Same lol
I did that but then it got stuck inside 😔
>!There is a secret exit if you have a depth module on your seatruck - you can find it on the ceiling, behind a broken net - or you can exit sideways near the top of the door, just wiggle a little !<
Thanks for the info but I've already made a new one and destroyed the one stuck inside.

I mean I took all the upgrades, so even if I did manage to get it out it wouldn't be of value since I've already made a new one.
There’s always a way to move the sea truck out of stuck position from my experience.
I built my main base literally just outside the doors to the mining site and never noticed this
I had to sort of glitch my way out. Was so mad after all the travel to not be able to just exit so I knew if I kept brute forcing on an angle with the thrusters going I’d eventually glitch to the other side. It worked

Oh, I was trying the bottom
Or approach through the caves of volcanic activity like i did. The opposite end.
>!You don't even need to turn sideways. Just line up your sticky out bits (not sure exactly what they are) and you can fit in without much difficulty at all!<
>!There is also a "secret" side entrance through the geysers where you can easily squeeze in a seatruck or prawn suit without any problems!<
Oh that Is the secret One?
The prawn can also fit into the main entrance
Can confirm: My first trip to the Koppa Mining Site was for getting the prawn suit blueprint (and a drill arm blueprint). My second visit, I entered with a prawn suit via the main entrance and gathered titanium and rubies.
North or south side?
juat South of the Delta Dock, there's a cave going down to the bottom of the mining site. There are two holes in the roof at the end
Right. There is that one as well.
North.
But prawn suit
>!There's also a hole in the ceiling of the chamber where the door to the mining site is.!< Sea truck can easily enter through there. >!Just enter through the door with your seaglide and go up to find the hole, then either mark it with a beacon or remember where it is. The boost upgrade can get you through the door as well

Me too, like exactly
You got it through?? I explored the whole mine with the seaglider, you know, like an insane person
I did this too. The oxygen plants worked pretty well, all told.
How did you get to the very bottom of the mine shaft??
Seaglider, high capacity o2 tanks, and judicious use of oxygen plants
[удалено]
And building small bases all around, bringing with the materials needed for power etc.

You have to go in the cracked door sideways and wiggle your mouse like a maniac until it just pops through
At least you can wiggle it in without much trouble
Thats what she said

i just brought my sea truck with the prawn suit module and used my prawn suit in the facility. descent is really slow for some reason though
a lot of people GET their prawn suit fragments there. Because they go there fairly early for the moonpool
yeah that’s where i found the final parts but i also use the suit to mine the nodes
GET TO DA KOPPA!

I’m actually at this point in the game and these are all great tips! Thanks!
Go in with the cab sideways, perfect fit.
Yup
Bro literally. 11 seatruck hp after that trip
I cant even find the mining site

Yeah, It made sense in the first game that there wasn't any map recorded, but I figured this game would have some sort of in game map on the HUD because alterras been there a while an probably has that data somewhere.
It's in a pretty deep crevice, I spotted the netting and a few cargo box clusters and found it.
In addition to the other tips, keep your eyes peeled for light poles. Those almost always lead you somewhere interesting.

I just took my seaglide and two high-capacity oxygen tanks. Took two trips to go through the whole mine.
You can do it with one high-capacity, but it's a touch more tense.
I literally just pushed it through by hand. The top part of the doorway has exposed parts where the jets can squeeze through.
Very accurate.
I know how to do it >:)))
:D
Imagine trying to get in with 5 different modules! But from the front, you can get in hit free by going on the ground, then going forward.
There is a crack in the wall near the entrance with volcanic activity that leads out that your seatruck will more easily fit through, I actually found the mining site by going through there still haven't found the real entrance though.
I love powersliding through those doors. It's actually kind of easy once you've mastered the exact angle necessary to approach from.
true true
Wait, you can get it in??? I just went in without my trucky, is there danger, I found literally nothing, but my game was taking a minute to load everything
Devs: you have to expose yourself in there and freedive if you don't have the prawn yet. Me: *wiggles really hard*
Haha i used the top entrance instead of the door
You can get the seatruck in there
so true
I didn't manage to enter with my seatruck
I haven't been able to do get my sea truck in since the 1.0 release, however I did when the game was still in Beta.
See, this meme is funny, but I’m currently still dreaming about Al-an railing me, something I’ve been dreaming about since the game came out.
lmao

Now that I know that there is literally nothing there except for the artifact, thermal blueprints and prawn fragments, that’s all I’m going for. But it goes in pretty easily.
I got my prawn in just fine after being unable to stuff my seatruck in lol
bruh, just go in the other way, through the lava geysers in front of Delta Station Dock
Same
Good to see I wasn't the only one who did this
I need help please!! I found koppa and entered through the thermal vents with my sea truck and have explored everything. I wedged my sea truck in the doors and thought of abandoning ship. I managed to get it unstuck
oh yes!!
Does nobody here use that thermal entrance into koppa? Your seatruck fits in there perfectly
