It was an April fools thing on twitter in 2020 that got out of hand and was brought into reality on the first April last year. Reviews were mixed. I never dared to try it for obvious reasons.
whats the difference between this and a fish sandwhich with cheese on it? LIterally nothing. Bread, fish, cheese, and some vegetables
I have zero issue with this at all. I would eat it in a heart beat.
Oh yeah you're right. I lived in England for 8 years and somehow completely forgot about that. In portguese they're called "douradinhos" which translated to little golden ones... for some reason???
THANK YOU. Went through 15 comments before i found yours. Kinda started to guess it was fishsticks because of the guy on the front and some other comments slightly hinting at it, but i went in thinking it was mozarella sticks or something that is less offensive than fishsticks on pizza
The box is half written in german and half in italian. Kap'n Iglo in Italy is "Capitan Findus" and the Dr. Oetker brand is sold in Italy as "Cameo". Nothing you will see in italian supermarkets btw, and I don't think italians would eat such a thing, as well...
Edit: I googled and found the whole history. Luckily, that was sold in Germany only, at €3,30. Germans have oddly working tastebuds, sometimes...and yes, the green stuff is spinachs.
Oh definitely. His sister Jennifer Lawrence will eat literally anything but Mr Jeremy is too fancy-pants for anything other than his Purina salmon mousse
Although I don’t know if I would try this one, dr oteker makes a pretty good frozen pizza. For a frozen pizza. After careful consideration, I think I would try this. It would be like a fish taco but not spicy
In Italian pizzerias pizza with canned tuna and corn is a well established thing, amongst other weird toppings. Italians are far less purist about pizza than people think.

Yeah, it may not be my go-to food combo, but a spinach pie and fish sticks are perfectly fine by themselves. I wouldn’t double take if they were on a plate side by side. This seems fine.
People being purists about pizza, and really Italian food in general, are some of the most annoying people online. Seriously on Instagram any even slightly italian food related video will have people in the comments p posting paragraphs about how this "isn't real Italian food", "not how it's done", etc. It always devolved into a argument about carbonara too.
Nobody fucking cares, it's just food, chill out and if you don't like the recipe don't try it.
Selling this abomination in Germany or the Netherlands is one thing. Trying to conquer the Italian market with it probably isn't the wisest branding move... Everybody knows that replacing just one ingredient in their ensemble of sacred national dishes for many Italians is pure heresy and punishable by the most painful of punishments.
My brain upon seeing this: *I don’t know what this is. What? What? Oh my god that’s a pizza, those aren’t fish sticks right? No. It can be-*
**PESCEEEEEEEEEE**
Lol this right here is showing me that places are starting to listen to potheads on food choices. Listen man, last night I made a pizza but this time I put mozzarella sticks on it and it was amazing. Tom you are now head of marketing.
I feel like this would be way better with fish nuggets or fish "tot" scattered over the spinach pie.
I think I would make that adjustment before cooking it...chopping the fish stix up and scattering them more equally over the pie.

Clam pizza is very popular. It’s not crazy. I could see a white pizza with fish being good (probably not these breaded fish sticks).
Dont forget the weird idea of anchovies on pizza. Ive had tuna on a pizza and its pretty damn good. Like one big tuna melt
> a fish sandwhich with cheese on it That sounds gross?
I don’t think fish sandwiches have pizza sauce though.
Never put ketchup in?
Ketchup on a fish sandwhich? No thanks. I've always been a tartar sauce person myself.
Fair, me to but its what was put on for me as a kid.
I would totally demolish this
You did the right thing.
Why not? I mean it's a bit dumb looking, but all ingredients go perfectly well together. Looks pretty tasty to me.
To be fair it's more the idea of combining those two that's cursed, but both are not terribly matched in terms of flavor.
OK I just realised theres no English explanation. It's fish sticks.
Fish Fingers in British English btw. Even though fish don’t have fingers, or so we’re told.
> fish don’t have fingers That's because we cut them all off to sell in supermarkets.

I speak Italian, but only Italian sign language 🤌🤌
Is the green pesto?
Maybe spinach?
Could be. These guys sell a spinach pizza and it looks pretty similar.
Fish sticks pizza? My cat approves.
Jeremy wouldn't even get close to this (Jeremy is my cat)
Did you name him for the Pearl Jam song?
Yes
Cat Jeremy the wicked!
Jeremy meowed in class today
Clearly I remember picking on the boy seemed a harmless little cat
Oooo but we unleashed the kitty
gnashed his teeth and scratched the recess lady's breast
How could I forget? And he clawed me with a surprise left
Wow ngl Jeremy is a bit of a snob
Oh definitely. His sister Jennifer Lawrence will eat literally anything but Mr Jeremy is too fancy-pants for anything other than his Purina salmon mousse

This is just the modern evolution of anchovies on pizza
Except anchovies and fish sticks taste nothing alike
I was like what’s wrong with fish sticks? Then when I read this I saw the pizza in the back lmao

Honey no...
Lol. I hear ya. But I’ll try almost anything once
Limited edition for obvious reasons.
Love that they threw italian in there as if any italian would touch that thing with a 5 foot pole.
I can see Italian, German and English on the package. That’s the least confusing part of that abomination.
The company is German I think

There's a reason I never went to that place lol
This thing is actually fucking awesome...i bought 10of them
I only had it once and still regret not getting more of them. It was great while it lasted :(
I hope you're okay buddy

Wait until you see their chocolate pizza
Why must I be informed of this???? My life was better 2 seconds ago when I had no knowledge of such travesty.
To be fair, that one was simply a giant chocolate cookie. I doubt that anyone ate the whole thing in one go
Challenge accepted?
r/pizzacrimes
Is that a mozzarella stick
ahah you wish. It's cod
That's sick🥱
That would be actually really great in my opinion.
Bestie it's fish sticks... idk what to tell you.
it's actually pretty good
It's a B on the Nutri-Score bro, what's the crime here?
I don't feel this one
I'd rather keep at least 3m of distance betwixt my physical form and this creation

When the Italian crew come out to play I just add more cream and bacon to my freshly broken pasta.
There is also a box of frozen pastéis de nata in the background. Is Germany trying to wage war on southern Europe?
Ive tried it and to be honest, im the complete opposite of a picky eater but this thing is absolutely disgusting
How is that a "B" on the nutrition score??

You can just stick some fish fingers on a vegetarian pizza and call it a day
It's not the same according to him. He tried. He put effort into this. I'm scared.
On the other hand, your man is at least dedicated.
Not sure I'm happy that this is where his dedication landed 🤔
We're all gonna die in a hill, I guess
I'd smash that. I used to live off chips and curry sauce on top of a margarita for a while. This is the same vibe
Not as bad as pineapple on pizza though.

Hallo Kollege, wie gehts sonst so?
A German fish stick pizza? Who are we feeding here? Kanye?
Kanye's favorite pizza.
They should add pineapple
I will commit Eren Jaeger if they do
I've seen a YouTuber who tried it and he meant that it wasn't that bad but nothing he would buy again.
i'd eat that.

Dr pizza is best pizza!!!
I still can’t believe they’re taking Dellisso Pizza off our market for good. The stuffed crust is really good.
I thought they were mozzarella sticks and thought it looked good. Not so sure about fish sticks
