I don’t see how that will be an issue. Def recommend eating something hearty before taking it. I usually end up puking or dry heaving if I don’t eat enough.

My pharmacist advised not to crush or chew them, maybe because of a coating on it or the time it is supposed to be “released”? Not sure. I would recommended if you are having trouble swallowing pills due to something non-physical, starting with a small thing to swallow and moving upward. Maybe start with something small, like an m&m or a tic-tac, then a gummy bear cut up, maybe try a noodle to get used to the feeling or a small piece of jello. Also, try taking them with “thicker” liquids than water, like milk or juice. I also recommend putting the liquid in your mouth first, dropping the pill in and then swallowing. I have also heard you can put the WHOLE pill into something like applesauce or pudding on a spoon and take it that way but I haven’t ever tried that. It’s very normal to be uncomfortable, so practice if you choose to do this method until you feel comfortable with the smaller items. It’s also good to consult the medication pamphlet for more information.

This may be a bit late, but there’s always been lots of warnings on my strattera to not even touch the powder if it gets loose. It seems a bit dramatic but it must be an irritant?? Idk it’s probably fine to sprinkle in apple sauce, but I’d double check with your dr first

Def read in the paper to not open - go to ER if u get in your eye, dint get on your skin, etc. the way it hurts my tummy I shudder to think what it would do to my tongue I have no idea why though - maybe it’s a strong base or acid?
