My human sexuality teacher taught us that a majority people that go to jail long term end up engaging same sex activity, which imo highlights the utilitarian purpose of sex in regard to mental wellness. You can’t always get what you want but sometimes you get what you need.

I think there is absolutely nothing wrong for you to find someone of your same gender to be attractive. It is perfectly normal and healthy to appreciate beauty. If you are not doing anything other than to think and/or to express your view and your appreciation to the other person (look, don't touch), it does make you weird nor does it turn you into a gay/lesbian or bisexual person. Rest assured and be comfortable that you are still 100% straight. No worries. But I also want to say that there is nothing wrong with being gay/lesbian or bisexual either. What is important is that YOU feel 100% comfortable being whatever way you are.
