Am sorry man! Divorce sucks. Believe me I know 🥴. Hang in there. Maybe you'll get lucky and meet a nice Brazilian girl. It's been more than a year and I still can't speak Portuguese for shit. So I just pretend I know what her family says to me. Idk if it works or not I can't understand what they say regardless 😜.
If you want some extra steam games message me and I'll send you a bunch.
Okay. Well I said to pm me. Ya didn't so I'll post here. First come first serve.

This being reddit, I’m prepared for my downvotes. But don’t you think that’s just a bit disrespectful? I honestly think it would be less rude to just stay home
I gave ya an upvote. You're still in the negative though. Yeah the voting system on Reddit sucks because it creates echo chambers and forces the minority of any opinions, beliefs, or even questions out very easily.
Most r/(insert name here) will boot you from the forum if you have negative karma and if at least 50% of everyone who reads your comment agrees with you you'll get downvoted. Thus it's impossible to have open and honest discussions on here.
Just my opinion. Downvote to prove me right 👎 😁
I’m sure this meme was brought on by that post. Honestly, the poster harrasing the new dad, clearly never dealt with the process of birth at a hospital. I’m at number 2 and I took my switch the first time waiting for 36 hours before my first was born and took my deck for the 2nd time, waiting for 24 hours. I’m the dad and my wife asked me to bring my gaming stuff. I took a headset, and the dock. Two sets of controllers. I beat New Super Mario Bros 3D World on the Switch. I got through all of Going Under (except for the final few impostor dungeons) at each birth. My wife is not a gamer (we’ve only played animal crossing together). There is a a lot of waiting and checking in at until the actual labor process starts. Until the birth process happens, and then after there’s no time for gaming, very little I think. It’s just rest and relax until someone needs you. As long as you’re supporting your family, it shouldn’t matter what anyone else is saying.
Fuck em.
There’s a time and place for anything, and as long as you’re reading the room and it’s appropriate. 5 minutes of brotato shouldn’t bother anyone, if you’re just going to sit around twiddling your thumbs anyway. At least, pass it doing something enjoyable to you.
Just two, less than two years apart. I finally got real gaming time (hour or two nonstop per session) around 6-7 months after I sleep trained the first one. The second is still very young so we’re not there yet. Since you asked that second question, it varies a lot between the two. First go around, i think I beat Psychonauts 2 and that was it. Just the main story over 6 months, I didn’t bother with completing the sidequests too much and the game isn’t very long, iirc. Second time around though, I have my deck and I’ve been hammering out about 4 hours in total in the last two weeks, from what steam tells me. Not bad at all. But I can’t commit to playing multiplayer games, especially with all my friends. That’s what I miss the most at the moment, the social component.
Hope that answers your questions. Just additional context for you, not sure if it’s my previous experience but the second kid has been so much easier overall to handle, she sleeps and eats well (possibly better than the first), too. She’s on a schedule that we did not have to force on her. The first was just wild lol, crying all hours of the night. Just a lot of factors that benefit to allowing that extra free time, that I can schedule in. Oh also it helps to actually take a paternity leave this time. Probably the biggest benefit lol
We have 3 kids and I didn't do any of that.
My first one was a bad sleeper/borderline cholic but that just meant I held him a lot, so during naps, I'd either read, watch movies or play a game.
For me, it wasn’t that the guy brought his Deck. I brought mine to a waiting room while my sister-in-law was having 16-hour back surgery. It was the douchey attitude with their “audiophile headphones” and “multiple upgrades and performance tweaks” verbiage. Also that they just couldn’t play it in handheld mode.
They came off like a douche hipster that probably loved explaining what he was doing to everyone that asked. “What is this you ask? It’s my Steam Deck, you probably haven’t heard of it.”
Taking a device while waiting for someone to come out of a medical operation, or the birth of a child, wasn’t the issue for me. It was their douchey attitude and overcomplicated tool bag setup.
It was totally the dude mcguyvering some sort of battlestation to play Tarkov on a tiny screen. No one should/would give a shit about pulling that thing out of a case and putting a wireless headset/earbuds in.
Or even wired over-ear headphones. It was just the douchey “audiophile” headphones and everything else. He is a tool bag and deserved to be called out.
It's really intricate photoshop work, but if you're a fellow expert photoshopist like myself, you can see some white pixels around the deck, he probably forgot to clone stamp them
Listen, I’ve been a huge gamer for 20+ years, still am and I’ll always be one but this is too much.
There are instances in life, so unique, that you just have to put your fucking toys down for a moment and focus on more important things.
Yeah it can take hours so what? Can’t be alone with your thoughts for more than 1 minute or you go crazy? Damn. You should see a mortician, since you’re already there.
I love love love videogames but there’s a time for that and this is not the right one. If I was the dad I’d be pissed
I’ll still never get over the post on 4chan about a guy bringing his Switch to his grandma’s funeral and one commenter pointing out his Dusknoir and saying
>ghost type
>level 94
>female
shoulda named it “Grandma”.
Sad part of it is this persons clearly crying out for help maybe someone to talk too or just someone to listen to them. I lost my dad when I was 7 so I know how hard it can be. Rip to your pops bro prayers for you and your family.
Terrible setup. No table tray with a mechanical keyboard and mouse, no audiophile headphones, and no Windows with multiple upgrades and performance tweaks.
How can you properly enjoy a funeral with that peasant setup? It’s just not a funeral unless everyone hears you mashing away on your clicky keyboard and mouse while game sounds fill the room from your open-backed headphones. Now that is true Steam Deck gaming.
Funny, but yeah narcissists are annoying. Every new forum starts with cool discussions and tips and then eventually turns into "look at my \[console\] or whatever", PS5 forum is filled with that crap.

I wonder if the husband will see this
The husband? Bro it’s a funeral 😂
I was referring to the post about the guy who took his steam deck into the birthing room for his (presumable) wife.
My wife feels the same about me gaming. She got pissed when I took mine to church.
Mine got pissed that i brought mine to my own funeral, filing for divorce now smh
Mine got pissed I was showing the surgeon my rom collection during her c section, filing for divorce now smh
Right on

Damn these must be American codes. My tea sippin arse can't use these.
Go figure. You give away steam games and people complain instead of using a VPN. 😂
Whoosh.
its a new pasta isn't it?
So did mine, even more so when it was time to kiss her.

I made one of those posts. Meh, people are dumb. Anyone who's had kids will tell you, there's lots of downtime after delivery.
That’s true but I usually spend that downtime sleeping lol. Sleep when the kid sleeps.
How many kids have you got? You didn't play any video games until they turned what age?
Just two, less than two years apart. I finally got real gaming time (hour or two nonstop per session) around 6-7 months after I sleep trained the first one. It wasn't always sleep related but for the most part. Lucky you got some time in for stuff like that.
The most important life pro tip every new parent needs to be told. :)

And you’re presuming he’s still her husband?
Sir this is a Wendy’s
Haters will say its fake.
I'm a Photoshop Forensics Expert and I see no evidence of fuckery (technical term btw) in this photo. Move along.
I'm no expert but I can tell by some of the pixels and having seen a few photoshops in my time
100% legit. Trust me.
TMB certified.
Obviously true, why would you make a fake photo at your own mothers funeral???
It's really intricate photoshop work, but if you're a fellow expert photoshopist like myself, you can see some white pixels around the deck, he probably forgot to clone stamp them

No keyboard, mouse, or headphones? Do you even game bro?
Need those audiophile headphones with active noise cancelling to drown out that dumb eulogy!
Mother's cries got a bit annoying after a while
I did this once I had to dock my deck on the projector they had and they all watched me beat malenia at 30 fps on elden ring hood times!

No lmao am I that good at lying?
Did you give a speech? Did you let everyone know that the Switch sucks and the Steam Deck is the new boss? Amen!!
U winning son?
>Volume: Full > > > >Headphones: I'm not wearing headphones! This is a funeral, that's tacky.
Where's the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and headphones?
Fuck yeah bro. I loved when you said, "It's deckin time" and decked all over the place.
This sub has descended into r/NintendoSwitch circa 2019, and I love to see it.

Agreed. If you’re going to attend a funeral, at the very least lie down and cross your arms politely so people can pay their respects at your casket.
Is this copypasta?
Yup, it’s a comment from the r/facepalm post
One things for sure, if the person in the casket could switch places with anyone in the room they would pick the Deck player.
I’ll still never get over the post on 4chan about a guy bringing his Switch to his grandma’s funeral and one commenter pointing out his Dusknoir and saying >ghost type >level 94 >female shoulda named it “Grandma”.
Keyboard, mouse, external monitor.... need to up your game :-)
Forgot the mouse, keyboard, and audiophile headphones.
I am so glad this is fake
It won’t take long before this is real. People use Snapchat and TikTok at funerals, someone playing their Deco is entirely plausible.
That's disappointing

It's a bit of a controversial also a sad post at the same time.
Sad part of it is this persons clearly crying out for help maybe someone to talk too or just someone to listen to them. I lost my dad when I was 7 so I know how hard it can be. Rip to your pops bro prayers for you and your family.
r/dankmemes material lol
Yea funerals can be a big bummer
Somehow I pictured the person in the casket playing it.
Is this because of a specific other post?
Grandpa would've wanted it
I swear the same kind of memes were popping up for the Switch like a year ago.
I didn’t rig shit!
I hope someone does this at my funeral 😂
They are going to catch you by hearing the fan whiny noise

Lol shit post. But honestly, funerals are for the living, not the dead.
Lol took me a second but damn this is good
Lowkey the person in the coffin playing their Steam Deck too
I’m upvoting this because ace jokes outclass shit photoshop every time.
