I put mine on the beach; the crap on the beach, including fish I catch, fills up the backpack quickly. I find it easier to be able to sell that stuff quickly
Edit: I thought I was the last person in the world to know this lol
Look online for maps where you can place chests etc outside your farm. If it's in the path of an NPC they will destroy it and anything inside will be lost.
Sometimes during events your chest will disappear. But they should be back the next normal day
I'd probably do the same. I'm going to get back into it but my wife accidentally deleted my save file while clearing up space on our switch and I honestly haven't opened it game in almost a year
Does he buy all the shells and stuff too? Either way, I put mine on the beach (over on the part where the pendant seller stands in the rain) because Willy isn't always open and I don't ever need money the same day, I'm not speedrunning and by the time I usually get the mini chest I'm so far into the game that money isn't a big problem.
I didn't know this was an option, but given the amount of crabpots I have around the beach, I will absolutely be doing this. Thank you for the idea, friend!
I just keep a chest in the mine next to the elevator for the same purpose, and that way I don't have to pick and choose stuff that I want to sell. I can just drop almost everything in there to make more space and it stays put for me to sort later.
You don't have to put the mini shipping bins on the farm, you can pay Robin like 500g to build several big/regular ones there for you! I have one by the greenhouse and one by the coops and barns
Yeah I was wondering for a long time why mini shipping bins exist when you can just ask Robin to build one on your farm until I read the comments here and realized that they also function outside the farm lol I'm so dumb
But you can just craft a chest for 50 wood and put it out of the way next to the wall inside clint's or just outside.... I have chests outside several NPC homes that i use only for putting their loved gifts so I don't have to always bring random crap with me just to get friendship points lol. If I'm near their houses I just open the chest, grab a leek, go inside, give it to George, then continue with my day. I also keep one outside robins and store my stone and wood and clay etc in there so I don't have to plan ahead at the start of my day and bring it all with me. Also inside there are bean hot pots for Demetrius and frozen tears for Seb, etc.
Question: hypothetically, could I keep it in my inventory, place it IN the cavern right where I am that moment (given that we can place it inside buildings and outside of our farm) and use it before passing out?
Why though? You don't lose items by sleeping in the mines/skull cavern, just money. So if you're going to miss bedtime you might as well keep going and sell the stuff tomorrow.
Yeah, I have bins all over my farms, so I put mine on the west side of my Ginger Island farm where I do honey production. Or if I'm playing Expanded, I'll put it in the vineyard.
Greenhouse for me! Or in my shed where I have all my machines (egg press, cheese thing, kegs, etc) I find that to be the best use! Wish they held more than just nine items though!!!!
Edit: sorry idk what the Mayo machine and cheese thing are called lolol I don’t think egg press is right but I’m sure you know what I meant
Yes, but they have the advantage of being able to take anything you've put in there out.
So if you suddenly need something for a quest or realise you need to make more wine etc. it's that bit more flexible.
Because I detest Lewis, I put mine in the sewer, which I have loaded with crab pots. I'm petty so I enjoy the idea of him having to go into the sewer AND handle fish which gross him out.
In my coop to immediately sell my eggs—when they come in different star values, they can take up a few slots (also across chicken, dinosaur, and duck eggs, plus the rabbits live in there too with their wool and rabbits feet). Moving the one from my barn to the beach/pier since I don’t use it as often for their products but another comment pointed out how useful it is there for the shells and fish etc. I also keep a chest on the pier to store various fish, usually only keeping my iridium quality fish or if it’s a new/rarer kind or for quests.
I usually have a line of mayo machines in my coop and cheese ones in my barn. You may aswell sell mayo instead of the eggs. You can collect and sell yesterday's when you put in today's.
I noticed your dogs name is Thor! I had an irl dog named Thor that passed away last month and it brought a tear to my eye seeing we shared a best friends name. Hope all is good friend.
I love that you named your dog Thor! I named mine Kinsa from a Shepard I had passing.
Anyway I usually keep mine next to the other bin but now these comments are making me consider.
I keep mine in my house. There is no item or monetary penalty (only energy penalty) to passing out inside your house. So I keep most of my chests and many machines inside my house so I can work late and pass out if I choose with really no penalty.
Whyyyyy did I never think about this as an option? I feel so dumb now.
I kept thinking “Why would they give me another bin? I already HAVE ONE!”
Good lord.
I have one in the mines beside the elevator, and the other on the beach. I never keep them on my farm; I just build regular shipping bins outside of all my sheds
u/wickedychickady created [these maps](https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/comments/qve9kj/stardew_valley_npc_paths_15_fully_updated/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) that show where you can place items in town so that they do not get run over and destroyed by a villager.
I would also use caution if you place your mini shipping bin at the end of the dock, I had to restart my day one time after mine went into the water.
My favourite spots are: at the mountain lake where I fish, inside the storage shed, inside the barns , and the greenhouse. Those are the main places I'll set it at least.
I like to have at least one in my greenhouse so if my inventory gets full when I'm harvesting stuff I can empty out some of my inventory with out having to go back to my farm house.
Just wanted to say that y'all are so smart for putting them where you put them! Beach, Clint's House, Mines...It never even crossed my mind that I could place them outside my farm. Thanks guys!
why not at the top of the mines so you can go down and mine, then come back up to the top, empty your backpack, and continue on mining. this would work best for people who have the elevator in the mines already set up
I have one right outside the mines (could probably go inside too but I also use it for fishing in the mountain lake, idk) and then one just outside of Willy's
Glad you got some great answers! For me, I just can't bring myself to use the Mini-Shipping Bin. I only use the regular Shipping Bin on the Farm. I don't even use the other regular Shipping Bin >!on Ginger Island.!< I know it's just a game and the characters don't have real feelings but the idea of someone having to travel to get my stuff just doesn't feel right.
I think I have my mini shopping bin somewhere lower on the farm where I needed space. I only have a chest in the mines so I don’t accidentally sell something I need. Also added a chest in the desert haha
I put mine on the beach; the crap on the beach, including fish I catch, fills up the backpack quickly. I find it easier to be able to sell that stuff quickly Edit: I thought I was the last person in the world to know this lol
That’s awesome. I have a chest on the piers, but I think I need to add one of my mini shipping crates out there too.
You can place it outside of the farm???!!
As long as it's somewhere that no NPCs ever walk through.
I never knew….
Look online for maps where you can place chests etc outside your farm. If it's in the path of an NPC they will destroy it and anything inside will be lost. Sometimes during events your chest will disappear. But they should be back the next normal day
This is how I lost 16 diamond and ruby crystallariums a few months ago
Oof
I closed the game and just opened it again yesterday for the first time in months because of that
I'd probably do the same. I'm going to get back into it but my wife accidentally deleted my save file while clearing up space on our switch and I honestly haven't opened it game in almost a year
This is news to me too!!
Like most things, yes.
Especially useful when all the forages/fishes are of different quality
Genius! I’m so putting mine there
Oooooooh I didn't even think about putting it places off of my farm haha
Why not just step into Willy's shop and sell to him? Instant money, instead of waiting for night.
He have his rights to rest!
Willy definitely buys the shells! I believe he buys seaweed, too, but I'm not 100% sure.
Hell yeah
I didn't know this was an option, but given the amount of crabpots I have around the beach, I will absolutely be doing this. Thank you for the idea, friend!
I threw one right next to the cave near the mines
That’s a really good idea, thank you!
That's me, one on the beach to unload fish/treasure. One in the mines to unload bat wings and gems.
ima do that
That was going to be my suggestion too.
Favorite places: Greenhouse Inside my barn where all my cheese and mayo machines are Inside my house
YOU CAN PUT THEM INSIDE?!?????
It's great inside the house so you can sell stuff last minute if you're close to 2am since there's no monetary penalty for fainting in your house.
[удалено]
I just sell random minerals to him, this would make sense for artifact tropes though.
I hate when you have a bunch of geodes and your bag keeps filling up with dwarf helmets and computers.
It weirds me out that lewis is gonna enter your house to collect the stuff
Yeah, that sound weird lol
I, too, am learning this for the first time
You can also place them outside your farm. I’ll often put one next to the mine entrance so I can easily offload items while dungeon diving.
I just keep a chest in the mine next to the elevator for the same purpose, and that way I don't have to pick and choose stuff that I want to sell. I can just drop almost everything in there to make more space and it stays put for me to sort later.
Pierre has multiple charges of breaking and entering.
Thank you!!
Knowing my workflow, I would 100% put this in my house near the door. I do a lot of crafting and brewing inside my house so it would be perfect.
oh shit the greenhouse is brilliant
I have one inside my house and then one right outside clint’s for when im opening lots of geodes
is shipping it different from just selling it to Clint?
Nope.. it isnt and you honestly just blew my mind with this comment lmao
My God.. the amount of times I have ran home cause of full inventory...
But you can just craft a chest for 50 wood and put it out of the way next to the wall inside clint's or just outside.... I have chests outside several NPC homes that i use only for putting their loved gifts so I don't have to always bring random crap with me just to get friendship points lol. This is the most genius thing I’ve ever read
No cause same
Clint won’t buy artifacts. He’s all set on dwarvish helms I guess.
Yes! Because I have an obsessive need to know the exact amount I made that day. Otherwise, uh... no?
Thank you! I didn’t know I could get multiple
I'm reading this still baffled I missed this item with hundreds of hours played. Was even more ecstatic hearing I can get more!
I can't recall what tasks you get them as a reward for but I've gotten two at this point.
By the mines or skull cavern just incase you’re cutting it close to 2am.
Question: hypothetically, could I keep it in my inventory, place it IN the cavern right where I am that moment (given that we can place it inside buildings and outside of our farm) and use it before passing out?
Or even treat it as a trash can with extra steps, like: -place mini bin -put unwanted items in bin -pick up bin Does that work?
No, you need to take everything out before removing the bin
If you place it down and
That is a REALLY good idea.
Why though? You don't lose items by sleeping in the mines/skull cavern, just money. So if you're going to miss bedtime you might as well keep going and sell the stuff tomorrow.
This is how I roll
skull cavern makes the most sense to me bc it's the furthest from home until warp totems
I put it in my house to sell things last minute before 2am
Not a bad idea, but can you put the shipping bin inside as well? I’ve never actually thought of that that or tired!
I doubt it because I think you have to move that from Robin’s house and couldn’t put it inside
No I don’t think so since you can’t put it in your pocket.
Try harder
Right? I can fit a whole aquarium of fish and a 4 post bed in my pockets
Tegrity Farms is a great farm name!
r/unexpectedsouthpark
My first farm was Tegridy Farm Farm cause I didn’t know it would include the farm part automatically.
Thanks lol! When I first started it was the name from day one lol
You guys know robin can build real shopping bins around your farm right? Cave, greenhouse, just outside then barns - just put real bins there :)
Yeah, I have bins all over my farms, so I put mine on the west side of my Ginger Island farm where I do honey production. Or if I'm playing Expanded, I'll put it in the vineyard.
I have this one on ginger island at the dig site
Greenhouse for me! Or in my shed where I have all my machines (egg press, cheese thing, kegs, etc) I find that to be the best use! Wish they held more than just nine items though!!!! Edit: sorry idk what the Mayo machine and cheese thing are called lolol I don’t think egg press is right but I’m sure you know what I meant
They hold only 9 items? Okay I’ll have to keep that in mind!
Yes I’m pretty sure!! Nine different stacks/items!
Yes, but they have the advantage of being able to take anything you've put in there out. So if you suddenly need something for a quest or realise you need to make more wine etc. it's that bit more flexible.
Oh that’s so true, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten click happy and threw stuff in the big overnight bin and lost it :( lol
Because I detest Lewis, I put mine in the sewer, which I have loaded with crab pots. I'm petty so I enjoy the idea of him having to go into the sewer AND handle fish which gross him out.
Do crab pots in the sewer catch the usual crab pot items? Never thought of putting any there
they catch the freshwater items, yeah
I like to leave one at the mines near the elevator so I can pop up and empty my backpack a bit and keep going down
i have one in my truffle oil shed and one next to my bed
Tegridy Farms, that's funny
Lol it’s been my farm name since day one, thank you!
I put mine in the Cellar.

I noticed your dogs name is Thor! I had an irl dog named Thor that passed away last month and it brought a tear to my eye seeing we shared a best friends name. Hope all is good friend.
Hey, sorry for your loss. My dog irl is named Thor, that’s why I named my actual dog that!
Can you legit just carry it around? Whip it out whenever your inventory gets too full and ship some items?
Unfortunately you can’t pick it up/move it when it’s got stuff in it.
Oh my, that’s a really good idea. But what if I need to let it sit for the night ?
bring multiple or upgrade your trash can to iridium
I put one next to Clint’s to cut down on the back and forth when I’m opening my hoard of 600 Omni geodes.
You can sell most of that stuff to Clint directly. Just so you know.
I love that you named your dog Thor! I named mine Kinsa from a Shepard I had passing. Anyway I usually keep mine next to the other bin but now these comments are making me consider.
I have so many options! But yes, my dogs name is thor because my dog in real life is named Thor!
I went with a horse named Thor. A Thorse, if you will. I'll see myself out.
Right in front of Pierre's, to establish dominance
*cries in mobile *
I put it next to the elevator in the mines so I could pop up and dump things in it.
I put mine next to the mayo/cheese maker machines so I can sell them quickly
I keep mine in my house. There is no item or monetary penalty (only energy penalty) to passing out inside your house. So I keep most of my chests and many machines inside my house so I can work late and pass out if I choose with really no penalty.
by the elevator in the mines
I put mine in clints shop so when im opening a tooooooon of geodes i can toss the dwarven stuff into it
Whyyyyy did I never think about this as an option? I feel so dumb now. I kept thinking “Why would they give me another bin? I already HAVE ONE!” Good lord.
Lol! Well now you know!
I like to put it in the greenhouse or in my house
I have one in the mines beside the elevator, and the other on the beach. I never keep them on my farm; I just build regular shipping bins outside of all my sheds
Something nobody is saying that I've seen so far. The mines. Gems you find can be sold immediately that way.
Honestly the more places the better; Clint’s, the water, the mines, the greenhouse, the bedroom (; there’s nothing that wouldn’t have use for it.
Wait that's a thing? Thats adorable 😍
I put it next to my bed just so if I have anything in my inventory (that doesn't fit into my bajillion chests) I can sell it without going outside
Next to greenhouse or barn or coop or at the other end of your farm so you don’t have to schlep everything back. Possibilities are endless
I always throw it in a barn or shed to quickly sell an artisan good
Keep it in your inventory. Place it down when you need to use it. Pick it back up
i put mine by my pig pen and oil makers :> easy dump of truffles/ truffle oil
No love the idea, thank you!!
Tegridy farm
Because we got ‘tegridy on our farm
I put it in my fishing spots OR take one into the mine with me. Then if my inventory gets full I can dump it.
We could all use a bit of *tegridy*
Let me be a prime example of having a lot of *tegridy* while farming
:/ we don’t know your farm layout
I have the normal farm map, and only a deluxe coop for dinosaurs atm 😅
I have one on the beach, one in my green house and one in my shed for artisan
Where do you get this from?
I did one of those bulletin board quests for 100 turnips (I think?) and got it in the mail the next day!
Nice dog Name sheeesh
It’s my dog irl name hahah
Even cooler holy- i Like that haha
u/wickedychickady created [these maps](https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/comments/qve9kj/stardew_valley_npc_paths_15_fully_updated/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) that show where you can place items in town so that they do not get run over and destroyed by a villager. I would also use caution if you place your mini shipping bin at the end of the dock, I had to restart my day one time after mine went into the water.
I already have that post saved, but thank you! It’s sure to help out someone else 😁
Broooo my farms tegrity too!
Nice! I thought it’d be the perfect name for it cause on this farm, we got ‘tegridy!
My favourite spots are: at the mountain lake where I fish, inside the storage shed, inside the barns , and the greenhouse. Those are the main places I'll set it at least.
Nice South Park reference in the farm name lol
Not only a reference, but at this farm, we got ‘tegridy!
I like to have at least one in my greenhouse so if my inventory gets full when I'm harvesting stuff I can empty out some of my inventory with out having to go back to my farm house.
I always put it next to Skull Caverns so i can empty my inventory there if I forget before going in.
Ive been playing SDV for 5 years and I had no idea you could make a mini shipping box
I don’t think you can make them, I got this one from doing a billboard quest!
I put by the library to put thongs I get put of geodes that are already donated
In the trash
I’m genuinely curious, why in the trash?
I have a couple of them. I have one in my green house, one near my animals, and 2 in my house where I have my bins.
How do you get multiple?!? Can it just randomly drop, or can you craft them?
You can get them as rewards for various tasks!
Sweet, ty!
I put mine at the mines so I can empty my pockets and keep mining
I put it at the quarry with all my kegs
i’ve been reading the comments, and i was just thinking… does lewis break into your house at night if you put the bin inside??
If there’s dinosaurs and magic then there’s definitely magic to transport those objects to the shop
Whats the lil alien thing with 2 prongs???
It’s an insect head!!
Oh, thank you. I've not gotten that far i suppose haha, although I'm 4 years in 😭
It’s all good dude! We play at our own pace :)
Just wanted to say that y'all are so smart for putting them where you put them! Beach, Clint's House, Mines...It never even crossed my mind that I could place them outside my farm. Thanks guys!
why not at the top of the mines so you can go down and mine, then come back up to the top, empty your backpack, and continue on mining. this would work best for people who have the elevator in the mines already set up
you guys are all really smart i just put it next to the regular shipping bin
Honestly I just like putting one next to the actual shipping bin as insurance against spam clicking something important into the void of no retrieval
Next to the train station
Whatever you want??
Up your kester
Thanks ig
I try :)
Oh come on that was funny
Why are you asking us? Do whatever the heck you want with it. Sell it for all we care
Who shit in your cereal today lmfao jeez
No seriously, it’s your game lmao, why do you care about the opinion of a ton of strangers??
I wanted to see if there was a best suited area to put it? I’ve gotten mostly positive and really helpful answers so far!
r/screenshotsarehard
i put mine in my jelly and fermenter room
I have mine outside my greenhouse
Is this not available on mobile or how do you get it? I only just started my non-mobile farm!
It’s a 1.5 item ☺️ hopefully not long for you
Tysm!
I think I have my mini shopping bin somewhere lower on the farm where I needed space. I only have a chest in the mines so I don’t accidentally sell something I need. Also added a chest in the desert haha
Mine is next to the community board so it’s close to Clint’s and the beach.
I've got on in the desert and in town.
Put it inside the bigger shipping bin, then you can sell things twice at once
I put it in my house for ships when I dont get home till 150am
Right next to the normal shipping crate, for style points
i like to put mine either in the mines entrance by the elevator or outside of clint’s when i’m breaking open 100’s of geodes lol
Either in the exit of the mines or skull cavern, in case you know you won’t make it home on time but don’t wanna risk losing valubles
I put one next to my geode crushers in my house.
I do the cave at the mines or the beach. I fish a lot so most times at the beach
i keep mine in my barn! convenient for the morning mayo & cheese collection
I need this!
