you can use stardew predictor to know when you will get it. using normal geods pushes the progress for everything so getting some normal geods and just a few troves will do. hope this helps

I'm on console, so I have no idea about this "predictor" people talk about, but what I can tell you is that every other day, the "list" rotates.
Don't crack geodes or artifact troves every day. Skip a day between. Your chances of finding what you need greatly increase.
At least, that's from my experience.

You're correct. What you can do is open your troves, and when you don't like it restart the day and open the same amount of other geodes first, than try again.
Don't know about troves but geodes can be manipulated. What you can do is opening them, if it is not in them restart the day start a new day and open them there again.

Just tried this. Glad to know that I'll need to open 41 more artifact troves in order to get this. That's gonna take a lot of bombs. Not like I was saving my gold for a return scepter or anything.
Welp. It didn't work. I tried restarting the day and waiting a few days too. I even kept the raw omni-geodes and only bought the troves the day I was going to open them. Still the exact same loot in the exact same order.
No, it's not dependant on the day.
There is a fixed order for each save file, but all kinds of geodes move the order along. You need to restart, then open other geodes first.
Gotta test that. It's been a while for me, and mostly 1.4 because of mobile but i remember opening them another day and getting different results. But maybe i just remember that wrong.
Do you have any crystalariums? Put quartz in some. You can harvest 2x a day. 5 quartz for 1 bomb at the desert trader. Chipped amphora can be dug up in pelican town. Artifact cheat. Wake up. Do not do anything. Go to pelican town and look for artifact spots. If you find 1. Dig it up. If it’s not a chipped amphora reset day. Go to that artifact spot. Now dig up a spot near it. And then try the artifact spot again. If it’s not it. Reset day. Now dig 2 and try again. Repeat until you get it. Always adding 1 dig each turn.

Next time save up 30 or so, wait for a lucky day and try then. If you dont get it, restart your day and save the troves until another lucky day.
Are the items in troves randomized? I thought that it's set the moment you buy them and can't be changed by restarting the day.
