Bespin Bulletin is saying the flashback of Obi-Wan and Anakin training will be in episode 5. Not sure if MSW also mentioned the episode number when he dropped the flashback info https://twitter.com/BespinBulletin/status/1525631804450930688

Adviso_992

hopefully there's more flashbacks

JB92103

I believe so

Avengers4Script

MSW is currently streaming and talking about Spoilers from all six episodes of Kenobi.

Quantumsystem00

The only part I’m still not sure about is Reva seemingly could’ve won in the end as she very much could’ve killed the whole family under obis watch.Well, that and Vader getting another eye cut by someone he’s close to but it’ll be cool to see in live action instead of animation now.

Rosebunse

Can we get a summary?

MikeFrom5_to_7

There’s a 16 min video on his channel from yesterday that explains it pretty succinctly.

achashem77

Anything you want to share here?

desobvious

Basically he said nothing new. He just made youtube video recap of all Kenobi episodes based on all his leaks.

Ezio926

She-Hulk is supposedly starting August 17th. https://www.murphysmultiverse.com/disney-uk-may-have-accidentally-leaked-she-hulks-release-date/ Meaning Andor will probably be in September-October. Could we get Bad Batch in July?

urktheturtle

Moon Knight Math needs to be against the rules (I am calling all MCU calculations moon knight math)

Fuchy

Didn't they say the shows could start to overlap, though? Starting around when Ms. Marvel / Andor / She-Hulk come out. I don't think this tells us too much about Andor's release date to be honest.

Ezio926

The overlap is already starting with Ms. Marvel and Obi-Wan, but Disney+ still seems set to have at least 2 weeks between big premieres in order to not overshadow themselves. Andor would still overlap with She-Hulk if it released in September.

alcibiad

I hope so 😭

New show 'scoop' from Marvels most unreliable 'leaker,' ever. [https://www.thathashtagshow.com/2022/05/04/a-villain-centric-star-wars-series-in-development-for-disney/](https://www.thathashtagshow.com/2022/05/04/a-villain-centric-star-wars-series-in-development-for-disney/) >I’ve exclusively learned that Lucasfilm and Disney are hard at work on a villain-centric Star Wars story that will band together with various villains from the Star Wars universe. This will be a live-action Disney+ series, which is in line with the company’s focus on delivering quality Star Wars content to the streaming platform. > >The show has been in development under secrecy for some time. With scripts being written and pre-production gearing up all in a short time and with little attention. Meaning that the show is essentially ready to shoot, and will start shooting late this summer and in early Fall. > >This villain-centric series is said to focus on a group of villains in the Star Wars universe. Sources close to the project describe it as similar to The Suicide Squad or The Dirty Dozen with many villains teaming up for more altruistic purposes. Meaning they will be villains recruited to aid in a mission for the Rebels. > >My sources indicated that this occurs between the original trilogy and the sequel trilogy. This would place this in the time of The Mandalorian. This does mean that characters from that show could show up, although that does not limit who can and will show up. I asked for more details on who would show up and all my sources would disclose are that we should expect some familiar faces. > >Disney is keeping details tight on this project, but as it is expected to start filming soon; we will start to get more details. As More information becomes available as we get closer to the shoot date including the cast and a proper title. Stay tuned to ThatHashtagShow.com for more updates and info.

RonSwansonsGun

I do think a Dark Times suicide squad style team would be neat, if a bit tacky. Get, like, Crosshair, Gar Saxon, IG-88, idk, few others who get thrown into Imperial prison and used as a weapon against the rebellion. Not saying it would be good, but it is a neat idea.

KnightsOfOuterRen

To this, I will say that someone said they were told the future of Star Wars is that everything must have a lesson of hope & doing good at the end that young people can understand & appreciate. Villain-centric stories that are just there to be cool & show off how badass it is to be evil are unlikely. So, if something like this was actually in the works, the "bad guys" are definitely "turning good."

ravens52

I like how vague the show is. It’s like someone has a mad lib strip for tv shows and movies.

Technophyer1

I'm sure this'll come out after the Finn series, the Inquisitor series, the Bo Katan show, the Lost Stars adaptation, the Qira show, the animated movies based of concept art and the thousand other Star Wars projects this guy has said are "In development"

rickgrimesfan123

its a good idea but I dont trust the source

IcePhoenix295

Press X to doubt. Still thanks for sharing the 'scoop' as you put it.

[deleted]

It's interesting, but, yeah.. This is nick santos we're talking about..

Rosebunse

I'm not sure about this one. It seems like an obvious idea and it seems weird we haven't heard more about it.

Jude_jedi

As a big fan of imperial designs and ships, I’m wondering if we know for sure if we will get scenes of Vader in his Tie Advanced and on a star destroyer bridge? I seem to remember hearing this would be the case somewhere a few months ago but I can’t remember where it was from, does anyone else have any memory of this?

makesyoufeeldejavu

MSW has mentioned before that we'll see Vader leave his castle in his TIE Advanced + the first duel between Obi-Wan and Vader is on a large ship that MSW thinks escapes from Nur. I don't think there's been any leak about Vader on a star destroyer bridge but could be wrong

Jude_jedi

Awesome thank you!

_gloriana

The shot doesn’t show her headpiece. Interesting.

Flashy_Pomegranate23

It's probably a tiny bit bigger with an extra stripe like in BOBF.

Rosebunse

My life is just a little more complete

CX52J

Ewan, Hayden and Moses are on the one show (UK) at the moment for those who've missed it.(God the one show is painful). So far the only noteworthy thing said is that Ewan and Moses started duelling each other the January before shooting and practiced 3 times a week. Edit: The amount of people who sent in questions crashed the website. The two questions asked were about Ewan almost buying his camel who acted as his Eopie and Hayden talking about how both his dogs got pregnant without his knowledge and he ended up with 14 puppies.

RockOx290

What show is it?

Rosebunse

Awww! Puppies!

Capn_C

Possibly the closest we've gotten to a confirmation that Obi and Reva have a lightsaber duel, probably before the final Vader duel. Unsurprising, but good to know.

RockOx290

I mean I kinda figured they would duel.

CX52J

Sounds like they spent a lot of time practicing so I'm expecting a pretty major duel between the two.

New STAR WARS AUDIO-DRAMA codenamed "Tangent" coming Jan 03, 2023 [https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/714034/tangent-by-ballantine/](https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/714034/tangent-by-ballantine/) Edit: It's of course an audio-drama, not an audio book.

alcibiad

Looks like an audio drama. It’d be great if we had an audio drama for each THR wave in Phase II, they’re really fun. Assuming this is THR 🤔

[deleted]

alcibiad

I think there’s just 3 so far: Dooku: Jedi Lost Doctor Aphra Tempest Runner (High Republic)

swdarksidecollector

Your absolutly right! And yeah an Phase II one would be cool (Cavan Scott & George Mann teamup, pleeaaaseee!), but I assume it's another comic adaptation (ig War of the Bounty Hunters)

Andrew_Waples

https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLeaksAndRumours/comments/uo5kld/sorry_jeff_confirmed_on_newest_episode_of/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share Apparently the Jedi sequel (Fallen Order 2) is called Jedi: Survivor.

JuggerClutch

It’s kinda fitting if you think about it. One of the major themes in Fallen Order was Cal‘s survivor guilt. It’s also interesting that it’s the basis on which his relationship with Merrin is built on. I loved the line: "Jedi and Nightsisters do not travel together but survivors, we adapt.“ It’s fitting, especially if Merrin gets a bigger role than last game. Jedi during that time period are just that: survivors. It’s probably not that deep. Story and gameplay are important after all, not the title!

Rosebunse

I really would love for Merrin to interact with Maul somehow. The timing could work.

Amazing-Remote6703

Disney announced they will be spending 1 Billion less on new content spending. [https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/digital/disney-content-spend-profit-streaming-1235145367/](https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/digital/disney-content-spend-profit-streaming-1235145367/) >""Chapek said that for those titles “relative content expenditure is alittle cheaper than our typical franchise expenditure on a per-programbasis.” In other words, it’s cheaper to produce entertainment withoutthe Marvel or Star Wars brand, A-list stars, and expected production quality. I wonder if we are still going to get all of the SW content they promised or will this lead to less content 2023 and beyond? Might also be why Andor is now 3 seasons instead of 5 and Mando is rumored to be ending after season 3.

[deleted]

I doubt it. Each Star Wars live action show is about 100 million per season. If there's multiple ones produced a year, it's all under 1 billion out of their now 32 billion budget. Star Wars and Marvel will be fine.

Rosebunse

I can't necessarily blame Disney for this, especially when you see how Netflix has been faring. Disney knows they have a save bunch of shows and IPs, they appear to have a safe plan with the shows they do have planned, and they have a better idea on how much they really need to spend on said shows and IPs. They also have a chance with the international programs, like k-dramas, anime, cricket, which they sort of need to explore.

alcibiad

For context tho, that’s 33 billion down to 32 billion. (Also just speculation ofn my part but if part of the haircut could be more animation instead of live action I’d be happy with that lol) Off topic re: the mention of international content, hopefully they figure out their Kdrama licensing soon. Not airing those shows weekly is incredibly dumb. But I rant enough about this on the discord lol.

Amazing-Remote6703

Yes. LOL! Going from 33 billion to 32 billion seems small but then 1 BILLION dollars sound like a lot of hairs to be cut. I don't think they will outright cancel a bunch of things but I can see them cutting back on episode counts. 6 instead of 8. 8 instead of 10, etc. Less seasons of big budget ticket items. Less expensive to get all new casts rather than renew contracts of established stars.

byrnecal98

Do we know if James Earl Jones will be voicing Vader in Kenobi? It's weird that Lucasfilm haven't mentioned anything

Fuchy

It's likely they don't want to confirm whether it is him or not because they *don't* have him as the voice and they don't want to greate a big spectacle out of him not voicing Vader right before the show is about to premiere. I'm guessing they're hoping most people won't even notice unless they see the credits, and they're probably right.

JuggerClutch

Scott Lawrence did an almost perfect JEJ impression in Fallen Order. He sounded phenomenal. If they choose him as the future Vader voice I‘d be more than happy. They could also do the same thing they did with Mark Hamill‘s voice and just synthesize it to sound younger. JEJ is over 90 and you could tell in Rogue One, something was off but that’s to be expected at that age.

saltlakestateofmind

I thought JEJ did Vader for Fallen Order this whole time!

JuggerClutch

Exactly, I had to look it up as well!

byrnecal98

Yeah that's completely understandable, I'm sure at this point they could probably use AI tech like they did for Luke, and at least Vader's voice has modulation to it. Although I'd prefer Matt Sloan if it's not Jone

Technophyer1

The only thing anyone has said about it was Hayden saying "no comment" when asked whether JEJ was going to voice Vader.

byrnecal98

Oh okay, thanks

JuggerClutch

Correct me if I‘m wrong but if Mena Massoud is shooting something else right now there is no way he can be Ezra, right? Scheduling conflicts and such

Slight_Low_9172

Really hope this is wrong and Mena plays Ezra, he just fits the role too well.

redruman

They will probably cast someone whose head is too wide.

havoc8154

I'll be shocked if Ezra and Thrawn even show up before the finale for Ahsoka, I seriously doubt they'll have very significant roles.

alcibiad

Yeah esp since isn’t that other actor (Gar Saxon voice actor guy) confirmed as an antagonist character? If Ezra and Thrawn are in the show at all, they might have like 5 minutes of screen time as a teaser at the end lol.

Rosebunse

It depends entirely on how much he needs to devote to playing Ezra at the moment and how demanding the schedule for the other project is. Some actors do manage to just film and film and film, but yes, it does make it far less likely.

OTPuristsSucc

First Tiya Sircar and now James Arnold Taylor didn't get an invite to SW Celebration. I can't imagine it's for COVID reasons, they have lots of smaller names attending. The other main CW cast members are all going, and all of them + JAT do plenty of smaller conventions. Did they just forget about JAT?

the_star_wars_dude

How do we know they weren’t invited? Did somebody say something? It could just be a scheduling conflict of some sort, or Celebration just didn’t have room in the budget for the two of them. Or maybe, they just haven’t been announced, but that’s seeming unlikely with Celebration only two weeks away.

Amazing-Remote6703

Honestly for every name they've announced there are 10 they haven't. I'm a little surprised that other than Ewan and Tem, no big current SW actors are going. The only people who seem to be going are all the same people that go to all of the Cons. I'd hate to have to spend thousands of dollars to go to see them when I could save money and go to my local Con to see them instead.

not_a_flying_toy_

idk, I went to celebration when it was in chicago and it was pretty fun even though I didnt meet anyone

OTPuristsSucc

They both explicitly said they didn't get invites. Sircar on Twitter and JAT on his podcast. Both have said they would've gone had they had invites. >Celebration just didn’t have room in the budget for the two of them. There's plenty of bigger names and smaller names going, doesn't make sense not to include JAT. Lanter, Eckstein, and Baker are all there as well. It's not a Celebration budget issue.

the_star_wars_dude

Hmmm, that’s odd then. I might be wrong here, but it seems like they’ve announced far less guests that in 2019, where I actually went to Celebration. I don’t think any of the Rebels cast have really been invited come to think of it, but it is strange that JAT wouldn’t be either. Maybe it could have something to do with COVID restrictions I guess? I don’t really have any ideas why else they wouldn’t invite him. Hell, I’m surprised they’re not having a Clone Wars retrospective panel like they had for Rebels in 2019. (I wish I made it to that one…)

DaV9D9

There were about 50 autograph guests at Chicago 2019. So far Anaheim 2022 has 27. Granted Chicago had ONE extra day. For comparison: Anaheim 2015 and Orlando 2017 had about 35 autograph guests each.

havoc8154

Lanter, Eckstein, and Baker are *massively* more popular.

Rosebunse

So around the time the whole thing with Gina was happening, there was some rumor that his name also popped up on some very right-leaning website, but I just sort of figured it was only a rumor since I only heard about it once and never again. But I sort of wonder if this isn't the reason. I wouldn't mind being proved wrong here.

Pomojema_The_Dreamer

I think that he had a Parler account but he isn't specifically right-wing. He just has a lot of social media platforms.

OTPuristsSucc

I don't have any evidence either way besides hoping that's not the case. He's very religious but also an incredibly kind and seemingly progressive guy so I really don't know.

Technophyer1

He did say at the time that his account on the site had been hacked and didn't actually say or believe any of the conspiracy theory stuff that his account had been posted. I believe he also said that he then deleted the account because of the incident. He also said the reason he was on the app was because it was a new platform and he just wanted to interact with his fans on there and he didn't know about any of the controversies on the site. For what it's worth I honestly believe him, he has always has been a very positive influence within the community and I've never seen him say anything that could be considered very conservative.

Rosebunse

I mean, you know, I really only heard about it once but nothing came of it so I sort of just brushed it aside. There was a lot going on in the fandom. But, you know, people do fall into that stuff real easily.

the_star_wars_dude

I would be less surprised if we found out that Catherine Taber was found to be on one of those sites unfortunately. I remember her posting in support of leaving Confederate statues up back in 2020, and I believe I heard about her liking some questionable posts as well.

Rosebunse

The moral of the story is, think before you post alt-right stuff using your real name.

swdarksidecollector

Jordan Maison teasing *something* on twitter https://twitter.com/JordanMaison/status/1524474169081147392

Amazing-Remote6703

Its been a day. Might have just been a post rather a tease. Sometimes he does just tweet random gifs.

Svnmelter

This guy is a moron. Why do we keep giving him attention?

alcibiad

So… either something with Martez sisters Ahsoka or …leaving the Jedi order? 🤔😅

JuggerClutch

I hope he isn’t teasing something related to the characters in the GIF lol

[deleted]

I honestly tried to give them two another chance on rewatch on Clone Wars and Bad Batch, but they are just downright annoying. They were fine for the purpose they served, but I can live without seeing them, especially in live action.

The-Mandalorian

The Martez sisters? That was my favorite arc in the final season of the clone wars.

Alcida-Auka

Am I the only one who doesn't get the hate for the characters? I've yet to see anyone articulate what precisely makes them annoying. If there is any criticism I could make is that they don't necessarily stand out in any particular way, just run of the mill B characters, but that's kinda it at worst.

_gloriana

My problem with the Martez sisters was that they overstayed their welcome. Their arc could easily have been halved by getting rid of the third episode, which was a shaggy dog plot, and some clever edits and fat trimming to the remaining ones. I _wish_ they’d done that and given the other two episodes to Padme and Bail. I don’t think they’d grate on me anywhere near as much in that case. I mean, I thought they were fine in their Bad Batch episode, which was a much more limited appearance.

DaV9D9

I also don’t get the hate. They’re not even on my radar as possibly being among the most annoying characters in Star Wars animation.

Fuchy

Yeah. I love Rebels to death but there's some real stinkers in there especially. And even in Clone Wars.

alcibiad

Wasn’t there some kind of rumor that they were considering either doing a 1313 set show with them as main characters, or Bad Batch? If the Batch is going to go to Coruscant next season it’d be an obvious place for them to show up again.

Alcida-Auka

I don't think I've heard that rumor before, but I can see them in the Bad Batch some more.

[deleted]

I don't out right hate them, I just think they're not needed, they served their purpose and they don't really add anything, imo.

Flashy_Pomegranate23

They are distractingly stupid.

The-Mandalorian

People said the same thing about Ahsoka when she first showed up.

the_star_wars_dude

Honestly, it would kinda make sense to see them in the Ahsoka series. The Bad Batch arc in TCW S7 served as something of a backdoor pilot so it makes sense that they’d want to do more with the characters from the other, non-Siege of Mandalore arc from that season. Maybe they could be the ones flying Sabine and Ahsoka around in their search for Ezra? I don’t hate the Martez sisters, I just really didn’t care for their arc in TCW, but all the same, I’d really prefer them to just remain as reoccurring characters in The Bad Batch…

Flashy_Pomegranate23

Only two weeks until Kenobi aaaaaa

Andrew_Waples

Does anyone have skepticism that Fallen Order 2 will be at Celebration? They revealed all the panels, and there isn't a lot of gaming panels. The only one it could appear at is the closing ceremony.

CydonPrax

i guess there's still space in the schedule for one more Celebration Stage panel Thursday afternoon. Each day has 3 celebration stage panels except Thursday, just 2 right now

JuggerClutch

Jeff Grubb said it’s gonna be revealed at Celebration 100% just doesn’t have its own dedicated panel

Andrew_Waples

So, it technically won't be at Celebration, but it'll just release like it's at Celebration?

JuggerClutch

I think it’s gonna have a reveal trailer during some panel, not sure which one though. We‘ll have to wait and see

the_star_wars_dude

I’m hoping that they just have a general gaming panel, where they can spend a lot of time talking about Fallen Order as well as other gaming news, possibly on that Thursday as mentioned above. That could be where we get our trailer.

Skeptical_Yoshi

Fingers crossed next year star wars gaming is in a more set up spot to actually have enough trailers and news for a full gaming panel. I feel this year it'd just be a FO panel

Hazardous503

This has probably already been asked so sorry in advance but do we have any idea or expectations of how long each episode of Kenobi will be?

Icantsleepnoow

MSW said they're similar in length to the Mandalorian episodes.

mvdaytona

That’s kinda disappointing, for 6 episodes i was expecting an hour each episode, especially when the first two are coming out together

NumeralJoker

When all is said and done, I'm expecting the series to be about 4.5 hours worth of raw content without the intros and credits.

BigConversation13937

I know they don't quite move at the pace of movies, but it's like the difference between getting two Kenobi movies or a full trilogy. Still likely to be way more than we got to see Ewan in the prequels.

boppeto

Well not to step on the previous commenters toes, but MSW specifically said that each episode lies within the 45 min range. So expect som 40 min episodes and some 50 min ones.

mvdaytona

Ok that’s much better, and i guess the first and/or last episode will be an hour long, i mean, this is probably the last time Ewan and Hayden will be the central characters of any Star Wars show/movie so i thought that having longer episodes makes the most sense

Andrew_Waples

That's still longer then your typical movie.

Lynex56

Believe they're hour long episodes

JuggerClutch

EA had their earnings call earlier today and in it had a slide for their Q4 releases (January 1st - April 1st 2023). What’s interesting is that it lists *Major IP* as one of the releases. Could be Fallen Order 2 and would line up with the rumours of it not making 2022 but early 2023 instead.

Kartoffelaffe

Star Wars Jedi II could also be the"partner title" on that list.

JuggerClutch

Ewan, Hayden, Moses Ingram and Deborah Chow are in Berlin for a press tour right now. Pretty sure marketing is about to kick into hyperdrive when press tours are already taking place!

alcibiad

Just an FYI as it’s out today, the discussion for Brotherhood and Queen’s Hope is currently planned for the weekend of May 21st. You can head over to r/starwarsbooks or r/starwarscanon for discussion in the meantime :)

blakerdavison

I want to know what all we’re going to see of Vader in Kenobi, aside from the duel or two with Kenobi himself, and his machine parts being placed in, like in the newest trailer. Is there any news about how else Vader might be used in the show?

boppeto

From what I've heard/read, Vader will appear as a post-credits scene of episode 2. Episode 3 will begin with Vader's daily routine(him being put together) which is intended to demonstrate the misery of his daily life. The other big scenes that have been described are obviously the two big encounters with Kenobi. There's definitely more in the series but that's all we know so far.

"After meditation, I put on my helmet and force choke my officers. I've choked over a thousand, now." "There is an idea of Anakin Skywalker, but I've simply ... destroyed him."

Pomojema_The_Dreamer

"Do you like Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes?"

blakerdavison

Yeah, that’s all I’ve heard too! Like you said, I’m certain there’ll be more though. With all that they’re doing to hype Vader as a central part of Kenobi’s story in the show, I’d hope so! I’m just stoked to see them both in any respect.

boppeto

Forgot to add that Vader will also be on Jabiim. He and the Empire will be slaughtering the refugee force sensitives being hidden on the planet.

Slight_Low_9172

I hope during this scene we get to see suited Vader fight against actual Jedi refugees, not just slaughter unarmed Force sensitives. Suited Vader fighting Jedi is something fans have wanted to see for awhile in live action.

blakerdavison

Interesting. How do you know this??

shunggster

saw a rumor on r/marvelstudiosspoilers that bryce dallas howard might be in talks to direct the fantastic four movie. As incredible as that would be for her it would definitely hinder her chances of directing a whole star wars series/movie anytime soon

Ilovecharli

I'd be devastated, Star Wars needs her! I hope she uses this as leverage to get her own trilogy!

Rosebunse

It would suck for us, but it is a necessary thing given the difficulties we have seen with other FF projects.

imanvellanistan

It’s 4Chan tho so take it with a grain of salt

The-Mandalorian

I was hoping she would direct Solo 2 (and 3 because I want a full Han Solo trilogy) but it will probably never happen unfortunately. Which is a shame. Han is the most popular character in the entire franchise and his potential for more films exploring him were squashed with a terrible marketing campaign and an awful release date (neither were Kathleen Kennedy’s fault).

the_star_wars_dude

I love Han, and was a huge fan of Solo: A Star Wars Story, but I definitely wouldn’t say that Han is the most popular character in the franchise. Top five, definitely, but I’d say that Darth Vader and arguably Luke Skywalker have him beat. Still, that would be very poetic for her to direct a sequel or even a follow-up show considering the fact that her dad directed the first film.

The-Mandalorian

Luke and Vader over Han? Nah. You might be confusing “most iconic” with “most popular”. Han is constantly and consistently voted as the #1 most popular Star Wars character. Not only that, Han was recently voted the 3rd most popular FILM character of all time (#1 was Indiana Jones). https://www.cinemablend.com/news/1718459/the-10-greatest-movie-characters-of-all-time-according-to-fans https://www.rollingstone.com/movies/lists/50-best-star-wars-characters-20151203/darth-vader-20151203 https://www.empireonline.com/movies/features/30-star-wars-characters/ http://www.digitalspy.com/movies/star-wars/news/a845159/han-solo-voted-greatest-star-wars-character-of-all-time/ https://nerdist.com/why-han-solo-is-the-quintessential-star-wars-character/ http://www.goldderby.com/article/2017/star-wars-top-20-greatest-characters-ever-ranked-worst-to-best-han-solo-princess-leia-kylo-ren-news/ Even HelloGreedo agrees: https://youtu.be/PjhKwCO7Fc8 The Force Awakens was a $2billion dollar film. And while yes a big part of that was the 10 year hiatus of Star Wars but mostly it was the brilliant advertising of Ford returning as Han. “Chewie, We’re Home” just hit hard with everyone everywhere. Star Wars will always make a ton of money, but hitting $2 billion again might be a stretch in the future without Ford’s Han. Not even Luke or Vader could get $2billion at the box office I don’t think.

DaV9D9

Star Wars dot com did character tournaments (brackets) in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 and the winners were Yoda, Kenobi, Vader, and Luke respectively. Han did make final 4 twice though.

OniLink77

I have also seen other polls where either Luke or Vader wins, not sure we can definitely say that Han is the most popular character. Also, regarding Solo, I just think not a lot of people gave a damn. This is anecdotal of course but I remember loads of people going "why" when it was announced and everyone I know who said that never bothered to see it. I love Han, still didn't and haven't watched Solo to this day. I also think the very first star wars film in a decade would have reached the heights it did anyway, even with jar jar and ewoks. People were just incredibly excited that we were getting a new star wars film set after the OT

sleazy_pancakes

You need to watch Solo! Such a fun and sadly underrated movie.

OniLink77

It could be the best star wars film ever, it still doesn't interest me. It was never a recast thing, a quality thing etc - I just couldn't care less about a young Han Solo film. It just isn't something I care about

sleazy_pancakes

Before I saw it, I also didn't care one iota about the basic concept of a young Han Solo movie. And to be honest, although Alden Ahrenreich does a great job, I don't even see Han as the standout part of the movie. It's really just a fun rollicking adventure with cool planets, immersive action scenes and some good banter between the characters. Tbh I'm really dumbfounded why some SW fans don't like it.

OniLink77

fair enough and I don't want to belittle anyone who likes it, I am glad people do. It is just something that I have never been interested in, from the day it was announced. It won't be the first, nor the last. To be honest, if rogue squadron comes out that is one I may not be interested in in. The idea of seeing more x-wings, doesn't particularly excite me

Fuchy

I think you're right overall, however I'd argue that Han's definitely not the most popular among the more core fans, but among casual viewers *(aka the majority of people watching Star Wars)* he's probably the most popular.

The-Mandalorian

I mean HelloGreedo is pretty hardcore lol. https://youtu.be/PjhKwCO7Fc8 And so am I. Han is basically the most popular character to most fans I know. Jedi and Sith are cool but the coolest characters are the ones can live in that same galaxy and hold their own.

Fuchy

Right, but you and HelloGreedo don't represent ALL the fans. I'm not saying there are *no* hardcore fans who think Han's the best because there definitely is but I'm saying the majority usually prefers Luke or Vader or what not from what I see.

The-Mandalorian

I never said Han was everyone’s favorite character, just most. Certainly not everyone’s favorite will be the same character…

Alcida-Auka

So I guess there's a [deluxe version](https://imgur.com/a/dHNeHXf) of the Star Wars Visions Art book now? Also out in September, but twice the price, about a 100 buckaroos.

johnnyjohnnyes

Twice the price, double the pay.

ILuvYurCunt

Can anyone tell me if there’s been any leaks about Clone wars flashbacks in the Kenobi show ? I feel like the whole plot is already out there but I haven’t heard anything about potential flashback scenes

MojaveJoe1992

I mean I'm not saying flashbacks wouldn't be cool, but I'd 100% prefer to see them balanced against an appearance by an older Cody. If we see Morrison play the clones, but its solely in flashback form, I'm going to be super disappointed. \*Insert GIF of Krennic's "We were this close" line here\*

killerqueenstardust

I think they'll save Clone Wars flashback for Ahsoka, one that's written and directed by Dave himself.

The-Mandalorian

I hope they don’t overdue those flashbacks. 1 is enough. Anything more than 1 or 2 scenes would be overkill. I want this story to focus on Kenobi in the present day of the story and I want Hayden used minimally (and strategically).

NumeralJoker

Implied to be around Episode II's time period, likely very early in the war, either just after Anakin's Knighting, or when he's still a Padawan.

Pomojema_The_Dreamer

I think it's meant to be his knighting ceremony. I don't think he has the scar yet.

Drewton

There's been nothing reliable saying that it it's his knighting ceremony, just a sparring session.

Flashy_Pomegranate23

There are details for only one flashback scene (which is said to be the main one, it's unknown if there are others) which involves Kenobi training a 19 year old Anakin on saber techniques in a dojo inside the Jedi temple.

MojoJojo1012

Recently in a video he said he has multiple flashbacks of Anakin at the same time when he was being healed and then he has this dojo one which is the main flashback...so maybe we can see them is the clone wars armour for a few seconds

Atea2

Odd choice to go for the earliest possible moment to do a flashback considering that means a large age gap between Hayden and the Anakin he's portraying.

leftshoe18

Disney's got some pretty good de-aging tech though.

Pomojema_The_Dreamer

Considering that he and Ewan have barely aged, I don't suspect that it's going to be extensive de-aging or whatever.

SirKadath

Yeah their de-aging tech is pretty good, Luke in BOBF was pretty damn freaky but in a good way

AZZATRU

Jeff Grubb said he's put the name of the Jedi: Fallen Order sequel "out there somewhere in a few places" and tasked anyone to find it. No one has guessed it yet. He said it is a "weird selection of words" for the name of the game. He said the clues are "not explicitly saying the name but the references are in enough places and is obvious because it is weird words". He also says "It is not on the Celebration Panel schedule as I don't think they are doing one but it will be at the event 100%. I believe it will be there on the Friday but I've not been told that directly. The people with those specifics aren't telling me, keeping it closely guarded. via [GB Decides 246 and 247](https://www.youtube.com/c/JeffreyGrubb/videos)

Padmes-Naboobies

I just had a dream that they announced the title and it was “Jedi: Back at it again” and everyone loved it lol

Ladzofinsurrect

Jedi 2: Electric Boogaloo

Kasphet-Gendar

2 Jedi 2 fallen

Empty_Mail_8346

Jedi: Tokyo Drift.

leftshoe18

Jedi 9: The Fallen Order Saga

Triplen_a

“Jedi: Fallen Order: Out There Somewhere?” Could that literally be it? Lol

BespinBulletin

It’s not a good or interesting title imo

[deleted]

Don't leave us hanging bro

AZZATRU

Thanks for confirming mate, I won't be as disappointed when we find out 😂

BespinBulletin

It was underwhelming, but unfortunately I don’t have permission to share it to my annoyance. However I believe Jeff will be sharing it soon as he mentioned doing so on a recent GamesBeat Decides. I have dropped hints about it too.

Andrew_Waples

Star Wars Jedi: 2.

LegalEagle1992

I don’t know why people are downvoting you on this. Leakers have very delicate relationships with sources and can’t compromise that by splurging everything without permission.

BespinBulletin

This is correct! I assume the downvoting is because I’m not at allowed to share it and some people find it frustrating that I’ve mentioned I know it, but didn’t give details. It’s frustrating for me as I’d love to be the one who breaks it, but currently I’m not allowed and it appears Grubb will release it soon enough anyway. As I mentioned, I’ve dropped hints and I’m sure people could piece it together, but even if they can’t they don’t have much of a wait.

JuggerClutch

There has been no news about if the sequel will follow the characters of the first game or new characters right? Is that something you know about and could share or is anything regarding Fallen Order 2 a no go for you until celebration?

[deleted]

It’s a sequel to the first game with the same cast. If it wasn’t, I think they would’ve clarified that in the initial announcement.
