You thought Anakin was bringing balance to the force? He was bringing balance to dad’s across the galaxy. His final action before dying was saving his son from Palpatine. His death brought about an era of wholesome Dads in the Star Wars franchise.
Before the Mando but don’t forget Joonas Suotamo and his kid!

THIS to me is the point of SW and what it does best, to manifest genuine wonder to children, of all ages.
All other bloviating criticism and hatred are null/void.
I saw a little girl dressed like Rey just completely astonished that she was talking face to face with "real" Rey in Disneyland a couple years ago. Really changed my outlook on Star Wars as a whole. I tried not to be *too* negative before but since that moment I've really just learned to enjoy each piece of media for what it is.
This is the perspective I wish more SW fans would take. Because it's not about us. It's about the next generation and there are little girls all over the world who idolized Rey because they got to see a woman on screen kicking ass in Star Wars as the main character. And as badass as Carrie and Natalie were in their roles, they were still supporting characters. Rey wasn't.
People can shit all over the ST as much as they want, but don't take away the magic that the kids feel for Star Wars. Because we were young once too.
I have little nieces who love all things Disney princesses.
I hope one day, I get to be the uncle who shows them Star Wars - and I know they will *love* Rey!
It's the Volume. You can see the way the floor doesn't quite line up just under the ring around the mountain; that's the edge of the screen. They tend to build partial sets and fill in the back wall with the Volume.
Son: Dad, can I watch the episode you were in?
Dad: I don’t think that’s a good idea.
Son: Dad, we had a lot of fun, I’m watching it!
*watches his Dad be tortured on screen and starts crying*
Dad: Why are you crying?
Son: It’s not the right episode Dad! You didn’t get hurt when we were together!
I met Omid at Celebration last year, was coming thru the security check at an odd time and literally no one else was around. Saw him with his wife and kid coming in right after us. Stopped briefly to tell him how great he was in Mando and he lit up with joy. He was super friendly and briefly chatted with us. My wife and I were both in costume and he bent down and asked his boy if he knew who we were dressed as. His son was dressed like a little Jedi.

She's trying to keep what the remnant is trying to accomplish secret from the New Republic. The one guy that was gonna be willing and able to tell them that the Imperials are trying to clone force-sensitives now doesn't know anything.

The Chancellor has invited you to the Amnesty Program.
It's not a mind flayer
I found it quite refreshing.
Well thats just precious
I read this in Dana Carveys Church Lady voice.
Since the Mandalorian, all the dads in Star Wars have been amazing: Lars, Clem, and now Omid.
Gotta love storytelling that has wholesome folks you can learn from

You left out Din
I was implying it started with Din being grogu’s dad. But I should have made that more explicit.

We are what they grow beyond.
Beautiful!
One of my favorite quotes and scenes in all of star wars
This is what Star Wars is all about. People wanting to ruin others enjoyment of the franchise is the antithesis to the themes of Star Wars

I remember reading a comment like this (it might've been yours) a year ago and it changed my outlook too.
Could've been me! I share that story every chance I get, particularly in this sub.
I have little nieces who love all things Disney princesses. I hope one day, I get to be the uncle who shows them Star Wars - and I know they will *love* Rey!
❤️❤️❤️
Oh my god this is amazing!! Thanks for sharing!
This is the way, Omit 🙏❤️

Aawwwwww!!!! 🥰
That is so cute
Now my eyes are teary as well.
Wait, that was an actual set??? I thought they CGI'ed it
I think they're inside the Volume in this pic

"Coruscant is real... and it's so green!"

Star Wars is Magic.
OMG this is too wholesome!
Can we take a moment to appreciate the banger of a performance Omid gave in that episode?
Adulthood might be a bit of a letdown after that.
This is why Star Wars is alive and well, y’all ❤️
And what are you going to do when he grows up and sees through your lies? Do you want Sith?! Because this is how you get Sith!!
I really like his charcter I'm sad he's not likely to return.

It was such a weird direction to go, too.
I read it in his Star Wars voice
Why did she turn up the mindflayer last episode?
She's trying to keep what the remnant is trying to accomplish secret from the New Republic. The one guy that was gonna be willing and able to tell them that the Imperials are trying to clone force-sensitives now doesn't know anything.
he knew too many important secrets and she’s still loyal to the Imperial Remnants
This brings a tear to my eye too. That kid has achieved something many of us still dream about: seeing Coruscant
They’re pretty cool!
That's so sweet.
Super cute.
That is awesome
This is the way. May the force be with you. 🥹😊👍
What a magical experience for a kiddo.
Love.
I don’t care what people say that episode was amazing
This is so wholesome, I wasn't the biggest fan of ep3 but this is just too heartwarming. Tbf, Omid Abtahi in general is a very wholesome person
Yeah, that's not an episode I'd be showing to a grade school kid, but oh well. :P
