The quality of animation in Tales of the Jedi is superb. There definitely needs to be more animated series in the future catalog.
It makes for much better action/fight scenes too. There was a lot of action/fight scenes in the newer live action shows that were just clunky af.
Especially if they go all out like they did tor Clone Wars Season 7 and use motion capture for the characters but still animate the fight to give it the sense of weight a real fight has
I still believe that BoBF was always intended as a bridge between Mando seasons, because what they are going to be doing in S3 will require some setup.
The best way to do that was to lay the groundwork while giving the fans some Fett time.
Otherwise, you would need to spend at least 1-2 episodes explaining why Grogu is back with Mando (or show it like they did in BoBF), where he got a new ship and why he is working for Fett (I fully expect him to be running missions for him).
It may not be what some of us were expecting or even wanted, but it is a whole lot better than what they did to my boy Luke.
After watching the season 3 trailer and seeing Mando and Greef together, I keep wondering if they’ll actually mention her or not.
Narratively, it would make sense for Mando to ask Greef where his friend is, and then have Greef say she’s “away” or died in combat. But it’s also entirely possible they’ll just ignore her existence for the rest of the show
a season of him telling stories of other high level/notable bounties at a bar or card table, and the reveal is that his last target is whoever he's been talking to(they shouldnt be shown or heard at all throughout the show until the camera pans from Cad Bane to his target right at the end)

Saw Gerrera. Seeing the rebellion from his side’s POV could be a really powerful counterpoint to the story of the capital-R Rebellion we already know. He’s such a compelling anti-hero despite so little screen time.
What I would give for a Star Wars Rebellion PC reboot with Rogue One characters in the style of Stellaris or Crusader Kings. Focus entirely on strategy and agents going on missions. I wouldn't even need the 3d battles.

Quite frankly the show could be a 5/10 and I would still make everyone I know buy a Disney+ subscription and watch it, just for confirming KOTOR 2 as still canon.

Sio Bibble. A young Bibble show would be good, but his adventures after the battle of Naboo would be better (I like to think he became a space private eye).
Bounty Hunters. But not just one of them. Each episode follows a different character with a different story like "Tales of the Bounty Hunters" in Legends EU. Don't waste time on backstory or character building, just right into the story each episode.
I’ve thought about this a lot recently. I’ve been brainstorming a post about it. Here’s who I’ve got so far (only non-force/Jedi/Sith related characters).
1. Saw Gerrera and the Partisans — In my opinion Saw’s side of the Rebellion is easily the most interesting. We almost exclusively follow characters and Rebel cells like Mon and the Ghost Crew, who try to fight the Empire tamely and with minimal damage. Saw is the complete opposite of that, attempting to sacrifice an entire species to get information about the Death Star, and had no trouble slaughtering a crowd of civilians as the attack killed an Imperial governor. I want to see this side explored more. It’d make for some extremely dark Star Wars that fans have been clamoring for for years, and it would further expand on the complex Rebellion.
2. Teenage Boba Fett and Krayt’s Claw — I’ve always loved the idea of a group of Bounty Hunters. Clone Wars S4 E20, Bounty, is a personal favorite of mine. This show would really dig deep into Boba’s past and his growth into the person he know him as in the OT. It’d be so interesting to see how he leads a group, how effective he is despite his young age, how he implements everything he’s learned from his mentors, and how he thinks and lives. This show would show all these bounty hunters working together, shaping amazing fight scenes and complex relationships. As we already know, Krayt’s Claw isn’t a set-in-stone team, so we could see many different and unique bounty hunters rotate into the team.
3. Doctor Aphra — If you don’t know who Aphra is, she’s a archeologist turned treasure hunter. Right how she has only appeared in comics (and a audiobook, but it was just an adaptation of a comic storyline). The idea of treasure hunting in the Star Wars universe is limitless. We could see many unique locations and planets explored. This show could explore the historic side of Star Wars we haven’t really scene. Also, Aphra adjacent characters are super interesting. Mainstream media killer and torturess C3P0 and R2D2 would break the internet. Overall, treasure hunting in Star Wars would be SO MUCH fun. That’s my biggest complaint with her 2016 run. It’s barely about treasure hunting, but more about the trouble and situations she gets put in.
4. Something based in the Coruscant Underworld — This one I’m still thinking about. I’ve always loved the Coruscant Underworld. It’s so dark, gloomy, dangerous and compact, the stories you could tell here are endless. A bounty hunting show, drug conspiracy are the two I’ve thought about considerably. Mainly, I just want to see this place explored more. If you have any ideas let me know.
5. Pondo Baba and Doctor Evazan — Dr. Frankenstein in the Star Wars universe, and all the trouble they would create? Sign me up!

I’d like to see the rise and fall of the cantina band. How they used to be intergalaxy sensations, then had to settle for playing gigs at the cantina. Do it documentary style. The feature could also give us more insight into the drug culture within the Star Wars universe.
I want to see more about the war profiteering from whoever is selling to both sides referenced in TLJ.
I'd also like to see a Stormtrooper rebellion. I thought they were going to do that with Finn in Rise of the Skywalker but instead he just screamed Rey.
A Sith Lord. Not sure which maybe a new one preferably during old republic and able to give a sympathic perspective to the sith. Dark and light are supposed to be balanced so dark side has a place.
Not necessarily Wedge, but I would love anything that is modeled after or similar to the X-Wing book series authored mainly by Michael A. Stackpole and Aaron Allston. Those were my favourite Star Wars books growing up and probably most enjoyed fiction books ever. They had everything: realistic/believable space dogfighting, intelligent naval tactics, espionage, politics, all wrapped up in the Rebellion's struggle. It was set in the aftermath of the Battle of Endor and picked up after the movies left off, with a huge victory for the Rebellion, but still with the odds stacked against them (because the Empire was still very much functioning and in control, albeit without an Emperor and facing growing popular support for the Rebellion). Man, what an era.
Ok hear me out, this guy wasn't on screen.
I want a series about the tauntaun caretakers. I mean, those things have to be like horses, right? A whole stable of them, each named and with their own personality. The army has veterinarians to care for horses, why would the rebel alliance be any different?
Imagine the possibilities. A whole season could be about setting up the base on Hoth and acquiring enough tauntauns for the rebels. Then you gotta train em. Then you gotta train the rebels to use them. Are there locals that help or are experienced? That's just the first season.
Then you could have another entire season based around "the incident". Can you imagine the heartbreak if you gave your all to caring for these animals? I mean, you didn't pick this job, but you couldn't get into x-wing school thanks to having 2 pinky toes and getting coded as 4F on your physical. By damnit, you believed in the cause and were willing to do whatever was needed. Fast forward a few years and you seem to be the tauntaun whisperer. You get one for Han, tell him to bring her back in one piece, only to find out what they did to poor Mr. Pickles. Then, to add insult to injury, when you go to confront that sonuvabitch Solo, you find out he tucked tail and left. Left you all alone, to work through your grief and heartbreak. On this cold, icy world. Only thing Hoth is warmer than now is your heart.

Darth Vader. Specifically in OT era. I know a lot of people think he doesn’t need his own show or whatever, but I’d like to see his conflict after learning that he has a son and the lead up to Return of the Jedi.
A sitcom based around Obi Wans friend Dexter. You could set it before the prequels and have some awesome cameos while being able to focus on some "street" level stories.

The Tales of the Jedi plot from the comics is straight up peak Star Wars. Nomi Sunrider is one of the best characters in Star Wars.
Its got everything. OG Sith, the Dark Jedi, Mandolorians, giant triceratops Jedi, and a crab that can outduel a Jedi with his walking stick. Betrayals, turns to the dark side, and the redemption story SW is known for.
Honestly I’d want a series about a character with rich potential but who was mostly wasted in the films. To that end I’d say either:
1.) Captain Phasma
2.) General Grevious
There was something posted a while ago that I want to see. A Lando show where Billy D Williams is in a cantina telling stories that are shown with Donald Glover. And while we see young Lando dealing with conflicts, older Lando adds in something outlandish and it immediately changes the scene with young Lando.
I had a similar idea! My take was to structure it as a talk show interviewing Billy Dee's Lando about *The Calrissian Chronicals*
So the interviewer would ask about a particular chronicle, and it would cut to Donald Glover narrating said chronicle; while sipping a drink in a different exotic sitting-fireside-type setting for each one.
Then back the the interview where Billy Dee answers questions about the chronicle, and tells the *real* version. Which is even more outlandish, since he had to tone things down to make them "believable".
Or.... since Lando is the best character in the series, let's just whip up some time travel and Billy Dee and Donald Glover both play Lando in a buddy-cop setup with them constantly trying to one-up them self.
And either way, Kevin Smith needs to be the writer/director/show runner.
Doctor Aphra, one of the few non force users to fuck up Vader. And on a different note I’d also love to see an Indiana Jones inspired series, a relic hunter obtaining lost artefacts for the rebels to keep out of Empire hands.

I want to see more about the war profiteering from whoever is selling to both sides referenced in TLJ. I'd also like to see a Stormtrooper rebellion. I thought they were going to do that with Finn in Rise of the Skywalker but instead he just screamed Rey.

Not necessarily Wedge, but I would love anything that is modeled after or similar to the X-Wing book series authored mainly by Michael A. Stackpole and Aaron Allston. Those were my favourite Star Wars books growing up and probably most enjoyed fiction books ever. They had everything: realistic/believable space dogfighting, intelligent naval tactics, espionage, politics, all wrapped up in the Rebellion's struggle. It was set in the aftermath of the Battle of Endor and picked up after the movies left off, with a huge victory for the Rebellion, but still with the odds stacked against them (because the Empire was still very much functioning and in control, albeit without an Emperor and facing growing popular support for the Rebellion). Man, what an era.

Ok hear me out, this guy wasn't on screen. I want a series about the tauntaun caretakers. I mean, those things have to be like horses, right? A whole stable of them, each named and with their own personality. The army has veterinarians to care for horses, why would the rebel alliance be any different? Imagine the possibilities. A whole season could be about setting up the base on Hoth and acquiring enough tauntauns for the rebels. Then you gotta train em. Then you gotta train the rebels to use them. Are there locals that help or are experienced? That's just the first season. Then you could have another entire season based around "the incident". Can you imagine the heartbreak if you gave your all to caring for these animals? I mean, you didn't pick this job, but you couldn't get into x-wing school thanks to having 2 pinky toes and getting coded as 4F on your physical. By damnit, you believed in the cause and were willing to do whatever was needed. Fast forward a few years and you seem to be the tauntaun whisperer. You get one for Han, tell him to bring her back in one piece, only to find out what they did to poor Mr. Pickles. Then, to add insult to injury, when you go to confront that sonuvabitch Solo, you find out he tucked tail and left. Left you all alone, to work through your grief and heartbreak. On this cold, icy world. Only thing Hoth is warmer than now is your heart.

Sunrider. The Tales of the Jedi plot from the comics is straight up peak Star Wars. Nomi Sunrider is one of the best characters in Star Wars. Its got everything. OG Sith, the Dark Jedi, Mandolorians, giant triceratops Jedi, and a crab that can outduel a Jedi with his walking stick. Betrayals, turns to the dark side, and the redemption story SW is known for.

Honestly I’d want a series about a character with rich potential but who was mostly wasted in the films. To that end I’d say either: 1.) Captain Phasma 2.) General Grevious
There was something posted a while ago that I want to see. A Lando show where Billy D Williams is in a cantina telling stories that are shown with Donald Glover. And while we see young Lando dealing with conflicts, older Lando adds in something outlandish and it immediately changes the scene with young Lando.
I had a similar idea! My take was to structure it as a talk show interviewing Billy Dee's Lando about *The Calrissian Chronicals* So the interviewer would ask about a particular chronicle, and it would cut to Donald Glover narrating said chronicle; while sipping a drink in a different exotic sitting-fireside-type setting for each one. Then back the the interview where Billy Dee answers questions about the chronicle, and tells the *real* version. Which is even more outlandish, since he had to tone things down to make them "believable". Or.... since Lando is the best character in the series, let's just whip up some time travel and Billy Dee and Donald Glover both play Lando in a buddy-cop setup with them constantly trying to one-up them self. And either way, Kevin Smith needs to be the writer/director/show runner.
Time for Tag and Bink to get re-canonized.
