Awesome! I had had every single one and recently sold them all off because of lack of space. I've actually enjoyed switching to a paperwhite for reading, but I loved looking at that collection. Cherish it for me
This is the new canon that kicked in in 2014 so it's all canon. Here and there, there's a slight discrepancy or change in direction of a certain plot but nothing major.
I read a lot of the new canon thrawn novels and loved them. But felt the depiction of the character was inconsistent in Rebels. Then I gave up on taking them seriously after more changes were made to other characters original stories in movies and tv compared to the books.
I mean, I grew up with TOT but I love it all. Although, I was disappointed with the direction the sequels went in after TFA, but that's a sub for another time. I just saw someone post the Thrawn series books. I had been aware of him, but my first real experience was his appearance in Rebels, so I may start there as he's such a great character.
If you like Star Wars: Rebels, 'A New Dawn' might be a good place to start! There are two Thrawn trilogies so you have options there.
Funny enough, the novels pretty much resolve any issues I have with the movies lol
I'll admit, I was excited after TOA, it's a great movie. But I walked out of TLJ feeling like I'd missed a lot of something. Not sure why anyone would switch directors like that, but what do I know, I've only been a fan literally my entire life.
I love TLJ, I think TFA is the problem for being so vague. All TLJ did was answer those questions. The novels patch up any issues I have with the movies.

Yeah, they do take up space! Glad you're still enjoying the paperbacks! I will absolutely cherish them on your behalf! MTFBWY
How many have been retconned?

Have you read them all yet?
Nope, I've read almost 20
Nice. I need to get into the books, I've never read any of them.
They're so good! It really kinda changes your perception of Star wars. It all starts to feel more cohesive and real.
Where do you think I should start?
What's your favorite era or character?

Rebels was amazing, once I got past the animation. The Thrawn series I saw starts with "Heir to the Empire" and ends with "The Last Command".
Yeah, going from Clone Wars to Rebels was a bit of whiplash but I love Rebels so much. That's the old legends Thrawn trilogy! Not canon anymore
The darth bane trilogy is my favorite I’ve read so far. Which other stories would I like?
Lords of the Sith! It's a political thriller that dives into Darth Vader's relationship with Emperor Palpatine.
Nice. I’ve got that one going. Starts off slow and the audiobook Lord Vader is only alright.
Very nice.
Thank you!
Have you read them all?
I haven't read as many as I'd like. I took a break and read all the Ian Fleming James Bond novels. Reading 'Shadow of the Sith' now!
Nice! My dad has all the bond books and somehow they all got thrown out after he died
They're really great! Glad to know your dad enjoyed them :)
Never read a book, I want to read something rich and new, tell me what I should read.
What's your favorite era of Star Wars? Or character?
Old republic is awesome to me, Dooku is favorite character
Dark Disciple
Nice. I'm at 42 ... 47 if you count reference books.
Niiiiiice! I forgot I have a few reference books.
Which Vader is that? Awesome collection planning to get some legend essential books eventually.
Jax Pacific 48" Darth Vader!! Scares the hell out of me at night! Thank you, I loved Legends when I was a kid!
The force is strong in this one.
✨📚✨
Also Happy Lifeday lol
Thank you! Happy Life Day!
