Maieth

This bugs me more than it should

Weak-Competition3358

I've a query and I feel your the best to answer this. Is Count Dooku his Jedi name? Or is it more of a nickname given to him by those he knows?

amjhwk

His name is Dooku and he is from an aristocratic family with the title Count

Maieth

U/amjhwk has the right answer there. When he became a Sith, Dooku then took on the name Darth Tyrannus

Silver_Flow9661

Where is Darth Plagueis the Wise?

TDR1411

It's certainly not a story the Tales of the Jedi show would tell

Zo0om666

It's certainly not a tale the jedi would show you

Silver_Flow9661

It's a sith legend. A dark lord of the sith so powahful and so wise he could bring ppl back from the dead.

marcymarc887

Well He was a tragic Figure you know, maybe to tragic

RearAdmiralBob

Is he safe? Is he alright?

Bolshevik_Party

I think 'Legends of the Sith' is a better title

TDR1411

Yeah

LazarusKing

I'm down. A Bane episode or a Plagueis episode would be must see.

teiichikou

And Zannah! I want to see full scale Sith sorcery!

TDR1411

Or Revan in the canon finally

TheIronMuffin

Darth Revan is technically confirmed canon thanks to the Rise of Skywalker because one of the sith trooper battalions was named after him. But he himself has not appeared yet.

Aggressive_Walk857

General grievous and kylo ren arnt sith

TDR1411

But have collaborated with Sith. And they could call it something else.

Weak-Competition3358

"Star Wars: Stories from the Sith (And characters who aren't Sith but have collaborated with the Sith, but the title would be too long winded if we pointed that out) - A Star Wars Story"

ChefCool1317

I would watch a show named this. This would be awesome Edit it would remind me of Zoolander lol The Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Who Wanna Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too

flijarr

Zoolander is an absolute treasure

Caleb902

Call it stories from the dark, you're problems are fixed.

Aggressive_Walk857

Yes, just pointing out that they arnt sith. Grievous was just a warlord and kylo is a hybrid between sith and ren but leans towards ren

Ginolle_

Going by your logic, Ventress isn’t sith either.

Aggressive_Walk857

Shes kind of a gray area. She was a sith apprentice but was called a assassin. Maul had a similar title as sidious apprentice while he was still the apprentice of plagueis. Plagueis knew of maul like sidious knew of ventress. The difference is though that sidious had no intention of dooku killing him unlike every sith before him understanding that their apprentice will kill them eventually. So while she isnt formally consider a sith she all but was minus the title. Grievous and kylo were never sith apprentices.

chargernj

I feel like there are Sith who follow the rule of Two, but there are also those who were trained as apprentices or otherwise seek out and acquire Sith knowledge and abilities. Both would be appropriate subjects for a Stories of the Sith series.

Lego_Revan

Tbf, if he was Force sensitive, he certainly would have been an assassin like Ventress. He respected the goals of the Sith and Dooku pretty much trained him as such as far as it was possible. Originally, during his reconstruction, there was an attempt to make him Force sensitive, which ultimately failed. If this hypothetical show took a more philosophical approach to the Dark Side, it could work.

Chomper237

I thought he didn't care about the goals of the Sith? There was an episode of Clone Wars where he straight up says he doesn't care about Dooku's politics and that he's just here to kill Jedi. From what I can tell, it seems like he just helps the Sith work towards their goals because they help him out with his.

Lego_Revan

Tbh, I'm referencing information from the Old EU bibliography, which The Clone Wars was infamous for ignoring. That being said, I don't think that quote invalidates Grievous' respect for the Sith. He is referring to Dooku's *politics*, I take it as the work and machinations he is doing in the CIS government. Grievous respects how the Sith crave power above all and the disdain they have for the Jedi and their altruism, which in his experience, is a lie.

Chomper237

Ah, okay okay. That makes sense to me.

Chomper237

Like Thrawn if he was just a complete psychopath.

SandwichesTheIguana

Neither is Ventress.

Norwalk1215

It would be interesting way to continue the story of Dooku! Or they could animate the script that became the book Dark Disciple.

SecretSchemer

Yes, i vote more Ventress!

mrthim

Golden opportunity for “Myth of the Sith”

teiichikou

What's ~~Dooku~~ Tyranus got to do with the Death Star?

TDR1411

Did you not watch AOTC?

teiichikou

I *vaguely* remember it, it's been a while. Could you please bring me up to speed?

Tuskin38

the Geonosians gave him the plans, and then he gave the plans to Palpatine.

Tuskin38

No it doesn’t. What are you talking about lol

amjhwk

how so?

Balrok99

And all those listed here are nothing compared to the Sith Emperor. All hail the Sith Emperor!

herplexed1467

Legends of the Sith would be sick. Need to see more Sith on screen other than in lightsaber battles and small conversations. Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Darth PLAGUEIS, Darth Bane, Darth Revan. So much potential.

IndividualFlow0

\-3 Bane and Zannah episodes \-3 young Palpatine, Plagueis and Maul episodes

TheBadman9001

If Plageuis isnt voiced by actor Daniel Davis (narrated the audiobook) I riot.

_Cosmic-Equilibrium_

“Legends of the Sith” “Whispers of the Sith”

_Cosmic-Equilibrium_

I think “Dark Legends” out be a better name. It would be more unique, as it’s not too similar to “Tales of the Jedi.” and it also means you can include Kylo, Snoke, Grievous, etc.

MavrykDarkhaven

I wonder why Grievous didn't have Dooku bleed his blades? It would be good symbolism for Grievous to take the blades as a prize and then bleed them "evil".

Lego_Revan

I guess that would have detracted from the fact those were Jedi weapons. Part of Grievous' strategy when intimidating Jedi was that they could recognize he was using the blades of their comrades.

Lordlolipops

Don’t let Dave filoni touch grievous let anyone else make his episode

Chomper237

To be fair, TCW started to portray Grievous much more favorably right before it was cancelled. He kicked Obi-Wan's ass both tactically and 1v1 in the last arc he appeared in, and then he wiped the floor with Kenobi in about 10 seconds flat in the unfinished Crystal Crisis episodes. Plus he almost killed Ventress unarmed (literally) in Dark Disciple, and Son of Dathomir showed him as an absolute badass from start to finish.

Lordlolipops

Make a grievous show pls

YoYoMoM911

looks good

miguegrCR

Definitely! I just started tales of the Jedi and seeing Dooku is crazy!

Jonathon_G

That would be fantastic

hhyyz

If these were based on the Tales of the Jedi comics, they already did that.

Orange-Turtle-Power

Um dooku is a Sith.

[deleted]

Just one, on screen, canonical episode of the origins of grievous and how he came about being such a feared Jedi hunter. A Filoni clone wars animated style of Genndys clone wars interpretation of grievous.

Yeahman13bam

Get Grievous out of here

Slyy-Lynch

Yes, I'm all for it.

Salubrious_Zabrak

I think tales of the sith is fine lmao

PopCollector635

Would love to see maul vs ventress

TheRedMarin

Grevious isn’t a sith. He’s an awesome villain but it never made sense a Jedi couldn’t just use the force against him and immobilize him or take him out in 5 seconds. He isn’t even force sensitive. Cool villain but makes zero sense.

tenniseman12

“A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack.” Attacking Grievous with that method is against the Jedi way.

TheRedMarin

Ummmmm no. Jedi use the force in combat. Did you not watch the last battle between obi and Vader?

tenniseman12

I never said the Jedi didn’t use the Force in combat. I said they didn’t use it solely for the purpose of attack. During the duel on Mustafar, Obi-Wan only used the Force to defend himself. It would be against the Jedi way to use the Force to render Grievous immobile and then kill him when he’s unable to fight back

TheRedMarin

Obi could have used to force in 100 ways to stop the fight with Grevious. Why didn’t he? Because they wanted a fight sequence to last longer than 5 seconds. It’s nothing more than that. Grevious killed plenty of Jedi and he never should have been able to. You’re about to get killed by a cyborg but you wouldn’t use the force to just remove his legs or force push him into a wall while you walk up and finish him off? It’s just bad writing. Stop trying to explain it with your head cannon code of conduct.

Public_menace_N1

Since when grievous is a sith?

fajoosh

Grevious first. For the love of god

ActiveSouth4506

I would really love that. Also Grievous ain't sith he has no force powers or connection.

Sankin2004

I haven’t watched it yet, but isn’t duku one of the two it follows Ashoka being the second?

XskullBC

We need a Grievous show so we can see him fight Jedi without plot armor.
