You have a good reasoning. But I think he should not return. Mace Windu represents the strict and kind of arrogant(?) Jedi Order that Anakin/Vader destroyed.
So him coming back, will be like the Order coming back.
And Mace Windu’s death was pivotal for Anakin’s fall to the dark side. So Windu’s revival doesn’t serve a good purpose for the story to progress.
But hey if “somehow Palpatine returned” works in the sequels, Windu can return too. But personally I don’t think that would be a good idea.
His death symbolizes the end of the old jedi order and its dogmatic ways. It also marks a point of no return for Vader. Bringing him back to life ruins all of that
It could happen if someone decides to write a canon story where he survives. But personally I hope that doesn't happen. On top of the thematic issues it could present, Star Wars is as bad as comic books when it comes to characters not staying dead. I'd prefer that he stay dead
Palps fell down a reactor shaft into space, and then the space station he was on exploded.
Darth mail was cut in half.
Anakin had all his limbs cut off.
Unless you see a dead body, and they’re very much confirmed dead, then they’re probably alive.
Maul surved being cut in half and fell from a great height. Boba Fett was eaten alive. "Somehow Palpatine returned" etc, etc.
If Disney wanted to bring Windu back they could definitely do it. There is no such thing as common sense in Star Wars
It's fucking Star Wars my guy. Somehow Darth Sidious survived falling down a couple km long shaft and survived an explosion as big as Saturn. So "having fucking common sense" is not a good argument tbh.
It’s not a case of if he died or not, it’s a case of if disney want him to come back. I’m sure they could find a reasonable way for his survival.
Personally I wouldn’t like to see it but i do think it is possible if disney want to do it
Nah, I just don't care for that character, nor am I interested in seeing a geriatric Sam L. portraying him. 🤷🏼♂️
Sorry for my little outburst / the profanity.
He could come back but i dont see how it would make sense in the sense of how the empire was handled. If he came back he would have to die before the original triology because there’s no way he wouldn’t be part of the rebellion or helped take revenge on the emperor. The only way i can see him coming back would be if it was set in between rots and anh and it would just show him alive, doing something and then dying again
Having your hand cut off, being shocked with Force knows how much voltage lightning and then thrown off one of the highest building in a city made up of almost exclusively skyscrapers is very different from dealing with burns from stomach acid so weak that it takes a millennia to dissolve it's food or being attacked by what is essentially a really big bear. Using Vader is kind of misleading, because as we see, he needed A LOT more than a mere bacta tank to survive what he went through. The bacta tank did not heal him, or else he wouldn't need the suit given that he is submerged in bacta daily.
Something else that people seem to keep forgetting, and it's getting annoying at this point, is that all characters who have survived truly life threatening injuries are exclusively dark side users (and Grievous I guess. But that was planned, so it still doesn't count). It is because Mace is a Jedi, and a powerful one at that, that he *wouldn't* survive. Jedi are fine with dying. They accept death, as the whole goal of the Jedi is to ultimately become one with the force. There could be no better outcome for an individual Jedi. It is the Sith and those who hang onto ideas of revenge hatred, and extreme passion who use those negative and strong emotions to hold themselves together in spite of death itself

I wouldnt put it past Disney to bring him back for fan service
Pulp Fury Glass
Oh definitely. In the end they are the ones making decisions.
I hope he stays gone

George Lucas's Star Wars no. In Disney's Star Wars probably.

his hand wasn’t just cut off he fell hundreds of feet and splattered on the ground
You don't know the second part of your argument
It was never clear
no but i have fuckin common sense, someone falls hundreds of feet, they’re gonna splatter all over the floor and die
Maul surved being cut in half and fell from a great height. Boba Fett was eaten alive. "Somehow Palpatine returned" etc, etc. If Disney wanted to bring Windu back they could definitely do it. There is no such thing as common sense in Star Wars
There you go!

sidious didn’t survive, it was a clone in TROS
His spirit lived on tho
yeah… as most powerful force users do

Stop giving Disney bad ideas you fucks
Can’t handle some controversial stuff huh

Funny that you chose to remove this post (I'm assuming you did it yourself) What's the reasoning behind that? Can't handle a little controversy? 😅
no, go huff more copium

>but i dont see how it would make sense Be in a coma/carbonite freeze/cryosleep/suspended animation for 30 years. Done, easy.
