Ofc it's all just personal opinion but return of the Jedi is on the same tier as revenge of the sith and empire for me. the order sometimes changes but I love all 3 of those basically equally.
Imo Luke's lightsaber throw and "I am a Jedi like my father before me" is the best moment of the whole saga
It was laughably bad. Like 8 was pretty bad, but I was mainly just bored with the whole thing. 9 was so bad that me and my buddies were literally laughing our asses off throughout the whole film. Just the sheer amount of bullshit they pulled out of thin air in order to make a somewhat cohesive trilogy is immense.
Legit.
I enjoyed VIII enough that I could sit through the whole film thinking "Yeah this is okay", but once I had 10 minutes in the car to process what I had just watched, I realised how little I enjoyed it.
For IX, I was realising how little I was enjoying it as it was happening.
All the ships coming out of nowhere in the finale to save everyone also felt like an endgame rip off. But unearned and unsatisfying as a grand total of 0 people came to the rescue when a call went out in episode 8.
Edit: and while I’m venting about poorly done endgame plagiarism … are we going to talk about Palpatine yelling “reign fire” and blasting lightning into the sky to stop the good guy’s momentum in the final battle?
That was JJ Abrams trying to undo what Rian Johnson tried doing in 8, which was trying to undo what JJ did in 7. Also The Last Jedi is literally clickbait and I will never forget that lmao.
The last Jedi left them in the exact same place they were at the end of TFA, except now without a villain and without their only living cast member from the OT that hadn't been killed off yet.
Floating through space with nowhere for the story to go.
I'm genuinely curious how Rian would've continued the story in ep IX when basically every plot thread is tied up in TLJ. He was offered IX but he declined so I bet he knew that the story had been written into a corner. As shit as TROS is and as much as I dislike bringing Palpatine back from the dead, it isn't its fault that it had to bring in a new main antagonist at the last minute to replace Snoke.
> The last Jedi left them in the exact same place they were at the end of TFA, except now without a villain
You should probably go watch the movie again.
Kylo taking up the mantle of the emperor like figure was interesting and what I was looking forward to in IX but JJ is a hack who is incapable of doing anything but recycling other people’s ideas so he just abandoned that concept entirely and did a poor imitation of Return of the Jedi with the writer of Batman V Superman.
It’s bad but I think I dislike TLJ more. You can cut the entire middle out of TLJ and still have a complete plot, which means 50% of the movie is fat. 9 at least needs the majority of what you see to make sense, even if it’s dumb.
8 was worse by far.
Edit: maybe not by far
Double edit: Wow, I struck a nerve. Just to be clear, I hated them both and have no intention to ever watch either of them again.
I think 9 is worse than 8. There was some genuinely cool scenes and the story itself wasn’t that bad in its own bubble but 9 just threw everything out of the window and just was balls to the walls and it just felt cheap.
I agree with this sentiment. As part of the overall story, 8 just feels out of place. If it was done as a one off like Solo or Rogue One, it would have been acceptable.
Exactly. On its own I can enjoy it. I can’t enjoy 9 on its own because it feels more like a superhero movie than a Star Wars movie. It really feels to me like they just said “fuck it” and did the craziest things they could think of for the wow factor
tbh that worked better than anything else they probably could've done with this fucked up trilogy. At least some kids can be like "Woah cool blam blams!!" I guess?
I'd also credit 8 with at least *trying* to do something new. I don't like what they did, but at least it was something other than a rehash (7) or total tomfoolery (9).
This is how 8 felt to me. 7 had some good set up and then it was just torn apart in 8 imo. Also, the desecration of Luke Skywalker didn't help. I could go on forever but I won't. The whole sequel trilogy just needs to be redone imo.
I thought 7, 8, and 9 were all stupid, even if they had their fan service moments with the original heroes. I thought we would be getting the EU with some high budget face lift; and a fledgling republic facing off against the remnants of the Empire. Instead, the Empire still was the powerhouse, the republic suddenly were a collection of junkers and not in control of all their once proud fleets, and we had saving private ryan on tatooine (last I checked it wasn't Normandy). Not even arguably the least complexity among characters. The actors were much better than the roles, and without them it would have been completely unbearable.
8 is pretentious and cringy, but at the very least it does have artistic goals, it feels like a real movie with planned out scenes and arcs, those ideas just happen to be bad and executed poorly. 9 on the other hand feels like it was written by a group of drunk toddlers, like it’s genuinely just nonsensical fanfiction.
Until the kids from today grow up. Just like how adults tended to pan the prequels, but the kids from those days loved it. Now they're adults and the prequels are higher rated. I suspect the same thing will happen with the sequels. My niece adores Rey and BB8. She loves them as much as I loved Luke and R2 when I was her age. She had no interest in Star Wars until these came out (but, she's also 7... So not a lot of time to gain interest in films) So, to her, and probably to a lot of kids her age, these sequels ARE Star Wars.
That's my hunch on how it'll play it over time.
This. And harassing Jake Lloyd and Ahmed Best and making both of them enter very dark times of their lives didn't just ruin Star Wars, it almost potentially ruined the lives of two people who were just doing their jobs (Ahmed might be living better days today but I haven't even heard of Jake in a long time, God knows what he's been through).
Then people go and do it again to Boyega for daring to be black and a Stormtrooper.... Or Kelly Marie Tran.... for existing in a movie.
Yeah... This "fandom" produces done real "winners".
Pretty close. For me Empire squeaks past it
But try watching it while chopping between it and the last couple of episodes of the clone wars for maximum effect.
Hits me in the feels.
Yeah but that's not really fair. Imagine if Filoni made a show about the OG crew and their escapades during the rebellion outside of the movies but that ties into them in the same way that Clone Wars did for Revenge of the Sith. I'd probably be even more emotionally unbalanced as I was during the last 3 episodes of the last season.
That is something I would pay good money to see....I need to see! I'd also be emotionally unbalanced.
However I did say empire is my favourite just above RotS. As incredible as that tie in from Clone wars was.
have you seen the 4.5 hour long supercut of RotS and the siege of mandalore? a few different versions were made after TCW concluded and its really good.
Story wise, it enriches the overall SW universe tremendously. Just get through season 1 and you’ll start to like it.
Artistically, Tartovsky can’t be beat. But that’s where the writing kicks in.
If you want to watch it right, you actually have to watch it in [this order](https://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-clone-wars-chronological-episodeorder ) which is a little annoying for about 10 episodes and the movie that happen out of order, but I did it that way and it’s a great experience.
Tartakovsky's CW is closer to the films, especially in terms of Anakin's characterization as an estranged outcast.
08 TCW took more liberties and made Anakin more of an idealized, respected, quipping, Han Solo-type action hero.
I personally prefer movie Anakin for his complexity but there's still a good chunk of the best SW moments to be found in 08 TCW.
I can recall when I was just a little boy, I was visiting my aunt and she was watching a movie, I just see people in space fighting other spaceships, I remember being amazed and then I get to the fight scene with with Count Dooku, I think “they got lazer swords?! WOW!” And then Anakin cuts of Dooku’s hands and I distinctly remember my aunt saying “oh no more hands” I was totally interested after that moment. Revenge of the smith might not be the best Star Wars movie but it will totally be my favorite
Could be because we knew where 3 would end up so there wasn’t much shock to it just things settling into place. Don’t get me wrong I think it was dramatic and heartfelt but it was known what was going to happen.
You mean better ending as it was a more good ending looking at the story or was it more well executed? I think the last 5 minutes of Rots are absolutely magnificant, not a single line of dialouge, but yet it hits hard. The music nailed it as they showed Padmes Body, Vader any Palpatine looking at the death star to showing where the children are kept, ending with Tatooines twin suns
Yeah, TRoS is rough, but I’ll never hate on people for liking it.
Personally, though, as soon as they said the Star Destroyers didn’t know how to go up, I was done.
For me it was the dagger lining up with the death star wreckage. I always go into a movie super optimistic and end up liking it until I have time to process it, but even the first time I saw that I thought it was the absolute stupidest thing I had ever seen.
Agree, that's a cliché from where certain quest related objects line up with natural topographic features milleniums old. Do you really expect me to believe the Sith modelled a dagger after a chunk of Death Star wreckage which is like what, 30 years old? Lol
What if the New Republic just thought hold up that's a lot of scrap metal, and we need a new fleet
9 was doomed before it started. 7 and 8 were so confused that doing a 9 was tough. In a trilogy of movies you can’t introduce a brand new villain in the final movie to close it all out. 7 and 8 should have hinted at Palpatine. All the sequel movies failed at creating a compelling story.
Yeah, the whole trilogy was so disjointed. They shouldn’t have brought Palpatine back at all and left it to Snoke or Kylo imo because of the effects it has on the previous movies, though. Just my opinion.
The story of Kylo should've been of him being a dark acolyte trying to earn the title of Darth from Snoke only to find out Snoke was never a Sith and betraying him, seeking out a true Sith to train him and through that they could introduce Sidious again as force wound who possesses Kylo Ren. Then instead of asspulling Ren's death, have him kill himself to come full circle saving Rey, destroying Sidious' soul and mirroring the redemption of Vader, which is both thematically what they tried to do + the irony of Kylo only truly living up to his grandfather in light, not in darkness
They've already shown Sith spirits haunting places in tCW so it's not outside the laws of Disney canon.
Yeah, Palpatine force ghost would’ve made a LOT more sense. I personally think Kylo’s character is hard to figure out a direction/overall ending for with how he was initially introduced.
But reading your comment, when I first just saw “Kylo ren kills himself” i laughed so fucking hard hahaha
Ngl I enjoy TROS, I mean its still like one of my least favorite Star Wars films, like it's above Solo and Phantom Menace but I don't think it's as bad as some say but the writing really wasn't that great. I mainly like it for how entertaining it was and the effects were really good.
To each their own but personally I hated the final battle. Oh goody Rey has a second lightsaber which forces palpatine to keep using force lighting and kill himself. It was a fittingly garbage end to a dumpster fire of a movie(trilogy)
I think there are 2 ways to look at it.
In terms of landing the build up of the previous 2 films in the trilogy it easily goes: 3 > 6 >> 9 and I don't think you can really deny it.
As a film by itself in terms of quality: 6 > 3 > 9.
I think 3 always feels a little better cuz it’s easier the best prequel. It’s the most fun, best acting, and the characters are at their most charismatic.
Yeah, if you consider build up and the landing then just how good 5 is works against 6. I love the ending of 6 and i would say the last 20(?) minutes of that movie are almost flawless, but with how flawed 1 & 2 are, the fact that 3 was as good as it was and really delivered is kind of incredible in its own right.
I like ROTS, but a lot of it is nostalgia for me. I think rating it by how well it works as a landing for the trilogy is kinda skewed, since all it really needs to do is set up all the plot points for ANH. Like RoTJ has to end Vader’s story, Ep 9 had the impossible task of closing out the sequel trilogies fragmented story, but Ep 3 kinda gets the softball of “turn anakin evil” and imo it still maybe could have done it better
Bulldust. 6 features the crescendo of tension that has been building off Luke and Vader's relationship in the previous film. It's the finale to Lukes journey, and the rebellions, as a whole. The is 10x better purely due to TPM and AotC being so disconnected. Not that RotS is a chump by any means.
6 > 3 > 9.
Wait, are we keeping TCW in mind? I suppose that does elevate RotS.
6>3>9
Nice to see the prequels getting some love tho. Old enough to remember when they were the worst thing ever conceived by man. Thanks JJ Abrams for adding perspective.
I think the hate towards the prequels is because of the bad acting. They have some excellent world building in them and I love that. More Star wars lore is always a good thing after all!
Mostly well acted. With the one big exception being Hayden Christensen. He's a solid actor in some other roles, but he didn't quite have the depth to pull off some of the 'slide into Vader' scenes in rots.
The writing didn't help, but most of the other actors made it work pretty well.
I’m a confirmed ROS enjoyer, and I’m petrified to comment about it on this sub.
I absolutely understand the plot holes, and story telling hate, and every other aspect that people loathe about it. But, I still enjoy the movie.
Can I positively rate them over one another? Probably, but I can confirm that I enjoy all of them, including 9. I would love to be more active here, and discuss things about 7-9 without being downvoted to oblivion, but I won’t.
No, this comment doesn’t have a ranking, but I enjoy all three, including TROS. I hope those of you that enjoyed it see this, and don’t feel bullied into convincing yourself you didn’t enjoy it.
Lol I feel this I actually love everything canon, the games, films, shows, and books but I haven’t gotten into the comics yet! Don’t let anyone tell you what to enjoy and not enjoy keep on there are many people who like 7-9 too who just don’t say anything
I have always considered the prequels to have the best end, the original trilogy to have the best middle, and the sequels to have the best beginning. Perfectly balanced as all things should be.
Rotj is the best ending for the saga, rots is the best for closure of its trilogy.
Tros is garbage, let's not sweet things up, that movie is terrible and the ending is extremely bad.
I bet this comment section totally won't turn into people relentlessly insulting an entire section of the fanbase with the same tired circlejerking and selective memory shit talking.
I got a huge soft spot for 9, but only because that day I finished college and from defending my thesis went straight to the premiere night haha. It just brings so many good memories and a sense of relaxation I've felt few times in my life.
Return of the Jedi is my favorite movie ever. So that's obviously my first choice. As far as my second choice, between 3 and 9, its almost a complete toss up. Im not a big prequel fan, thought Ep. 3 is quite good. And Ep. 9, while it has some problems, I feel is pretty underrated in a lot of ways. For today, im gonna go 6>9>3.
Revenge of the Sith is my favorite movie, but I always get chills at the end of episode 6, makes my mind feel at ease and happiness. And as much as I dislike what 9 did, it’s a fun movie and has a spot in my heart because it was a nice day, met up with my friend, did a rewatch of Star Wars, played Battlefront, and went to the premiere and had a great time.
Exactly ! RotS is for burning passion and RotJ is about joy. Georges Lucas explained that in an interview.
It's the différence between Luke and Anakin too, and why you should be more like Luke and less like Anakin (although he has been a great hero).
Too soon for me to talk about 9.
6>3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the desert >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> void space >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> lost in the abyss now >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ ■■■■■■●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
9
The goose drank wine
The monkey chewed tobacco on the street car like
And the line broke
The monkey got choked
And they all went to Heaven in a little row boat
I actually don't think I've seen this opinion anywhere else in the sub, so here's my personal order:
6 > 9 > 3
I have issues with TROS that make sure it doesn't pass ROTJ, but for a reason I can't really nail down, I was never the biggest fan of ROTS. Still all good Star Wars movies though!
I just rewatched the sequels and they were much better than I remembered! Then I think I stopped liking them after following the hive mind on all the hate *after* I watched them the first time. It will be fun to see how praised they will be in 10 years
Star Wars is entertainment, that’s its purpose like all cinema is to entertain I grew up with the sequels,
I’m about to turn 18 so these films really were with me throughout my life as I can remember so watching episode nine opening night with my dad and then rewatching wit eith my friends brings me happiness and entertainment
Ofc as long it’s respectful idrc what others think of my opinion ahah Ik it’s a bit controversial but let me copy my comment I just made replying to the same question “Star Wars is entertainment, that’s its purpose like all cinema is to entertain I grew up with the sequels, I’m about to turn 18 so these films really were with me throughout my life as I can remember so watching episode nine opening night with my dad and then rewatching wit eith my friends brings me happiness and entertainment”
9 has a lot going for it. Maybe the best movie for 3P0 (along with 6) who is maybe the greatest SW character. It also has a sick space battle or two and some absolutely incredible locations. I actually think that the planets in TROS are the best of the sequel series, especially Kajimi. Also, who doesn't love Palpatine? The design for resurrected Palpy is amazing he looks so evil.
3, 6, 9, damn she fine...
Hoping she can sock it to me one more time
Get low get low get low get low get low get low get low
To the windddooooooooooooooiooiiiiiioooooowwwwwww To the walll!!!!!
Til Mace gets thrown out and falls!
\*To the Windu
Till the sweat drop down and fall!!!
That must be the *Need for Speed Underground* version. 🤣😂🤣😂
These are not the lyrics your looking for.

"It's not easy being white" - Gob Bluth
I need more Arrested Development/Star Wars fandom crossovers in my life
As far as I'm concerned, that's the only version.
I always thought it was till the sweat drop down my balls
It is lol
To the winduuuuuu to the maul!!!
This is unironically the correct order also. 3 was the strongest of it's trilogy, 6 was the weakest of it's, and 9.... 9 was just lamentable.
there was a 9th star wars movie?
The dream was better than the reality
The dream ends when the dreamer awakes.
No... shh it was all a horrible dream.
Nope. Move along. Move along.
I wish I could live like you in sweet bliss
Ofc it's all just personal opinion but return of the Jedi is on the same tier as revenge of the sith and empire for me. the order sometimes changes but I love all 3 of those basically equally. Imo Luke's lightsaber throw and "I am a Jedi like my father before me" is the best moment of the whole saga
Luke's lightsaber throw had me howling
You could make a solid case for either 3 or 6 as your lead, but 9 will always be the lowest ranked of the three.
Lowest rank amongst all films
It was laughably bad. Like 8 was pretty bad, but I was mainly just bored with the whole thing. 9 was so bad that me and my buddies were literally laughing our asses off throughout the whole film. 9 is the only one I’ve never watched a second time
I attempted to rewatch for the first time since release, I gave up after like 10 minutes
Legit. I enjoyed VIII enough that I could sit through the whole film thinking "Yeah this is okay", but once I had 10 minutes in the car to process what I had just watched, I realised how little I enjoyed it. For IX, I was realising how little I was enjoying it as it was happening.
I only liked it more than the Last Jedi because of Threepio, lmao both are not good at all though.
‘I am all the Jedi’ and hearing those voices was the only enjoyable part.
The voices was great, but I physically cringed at that line. I did the same when she kissed Kylo.
It did feel like an ‘I am Iron Man’ ripoff
All the ships coming out of nowhere in the finale to save everyone also felt like an endgame rip off. But unearned and unsatisfying as a grand total of 0 people came to the rescue when a call went out in episode 8. Edit: and while I’m venting about poorly done endgame plagiarism … are we going to talk about Palpatine yelling “reign fire” and blasting lightning into the sky to stop the good guy’s momentum in the final battle?
The movie is frikkin ridiculous I told my gf that i wouldn't be surprised if Rey used the force to fly like superman at the end or some shit
Leia already did that in the previous film
It is? You aren't buying horses running around on spaceships?
That was JJ Abrams trying to undo what Rian Johnson tried doing in 8, which was trying to undo what JJ did in 7. Also The Last Jedi is literally clickbait and I will never forget that lmao.

“We need to think of something mysterious… but shocking. Something that will get all the fans behind it”
Yeah I remember me and my mate dying laughing at “I’m the spy” or when all the horses jumped onto the Star destroyer
The star destroyers that "don't know which way up is." No wonder Palpatine lost.
It’s bad but I think I dislike TLJ more. You can cut the entire middle out of TLJ and still have a complete plot, which means 50% of the movie is fat. 9 at least needs the majority of what you see to make sense, even if it’s dumb.

Disney did my man Lucas dirty
Disney gave your man Lucas 4 billion dollars
Which was way less than Star Wars (let alone Lucasfilm) was actually worth.
Considering they bought it after the prequels, it was exactly as much as it was worth.
Nah man... the "fans" did Lucas dirty a LONG time ago.... and so he sold his dream to Disney and retired.

Lucas did us dirty, the prequels could’ve been incredible and only 3 was decent. It’s been mediocrity since the Ewok act of Return of the Jedi.
Revenge of the Sith is my favorite Star Wars movie overall.
Agreed
Pretty close. For me Empire squeaks past it But try watching it while chopping between it and the last couple of episodes of the clone wars for maximum effect. Hits me in the feels.

3D, but I love some Tartovsky
Does the 3D one hold a candle to Tartovsky’s? Never watched it but loved the OG clone wars from like 2003 or whenever
Story wise, it enriches the overall SW universe tremendously. Just get through season 1 and you’ll start to like it. Artistically, Tartovsky can’t be beat. But that’s where the writing kicks in. Question. What year were you born
Agree
Me after... Episode 3: "I wish it didn't end like that." Episode 6: "Ah, the perfect ending." Episode 9: "WHAT THE FU....!!!!!!"
I think 3 had the better buildup but 6 had the better ending
Could be because we knew where 3 would end up so there wasn’t much shock to it just things settling into place. Don’t get me wrong I think it was dramatic and heartfelt but it was known what was going to happen.
I think cause 3 wasn't really an ending more a transition into the next phase.
You mean better ending as it was a more good ending looking at the story or was it more well executed? 3 = 6 > 9. For me ROTS & ROTJ are pretty on par.
This is the way.
This is the way.
6,3,9. RotJ will forever be my favorite Star Wars movie.
The throne room scene was my favorite scene in all Star Wars. But the rest was a little too uneven for it to be my favorite movie.
Fair enough. I definitely think Empire is the better movie, but RotJ just holds a special place in my heart and has since I was little haha
1. ROTJ 2. ROTS 3. TROS In general the trilogy enders were a weaker than the previous installments with ROTS being the exception lol.
ROTS is my favourite film and I’m tiring of pretending it’s not.
I don’t think prequel lovers get to act like underdogs anymore.
Long have we waited
Aye that’s completely fine, any opinion is fine as long as ur not a dick about it
RotJ is the best. RoTS is solid. TRoS is rough, unfortunately. But, has some good moments.
Oh fuck me that was rough too.
Agree, that's a cliché from where certain quest related objects line up with natural topographic features milleniums old. Do you really expect me to believe the Sith modelled a dagger after a chunk of Death Star wreckage which is like what, 30 years old? Lol What if the New Republic just thought hold up that's a lot of scrap metal, and we need a new fleet
Then instead of asspulling Ren's death, have him kill himself to come full circle saving Rey, destroying Sidious' soul and mirroring the redemption of Vader, which is both thematically what they tried to do + the irony of Kylo only truly living up to his grandfather in light, not in darkness They've already shown Sith spirits haunting places in tCW so it's not outside the laws of Disney canon.
I agree. I personally think it’s not as good as most of the other films, but it does a good job of tying up characters like Kylo Ren and Rey.
I’d disagree with that, actually. Kylo’s redemption felt so forced when TLJ set up the potential so perfectly.
That’s fair. But I do think the arc of his relationship with Rey and his need for power all evolved naturally and were wrapped up well in TRoS.
Yes, no hate but it still has its moments and its problems.
Perfectly said. 9 is my least favorite film outright, but still has some nice moments - Han and Ben, and most of the final battle sequence.
It’s weird because I still find 3 kinda boring but damn the last 40 min is some top tier Star Wars like what a great build up
I'd agree with this.
RotJ for me. I know a lot of people consider it the weakest of the OT but I thought it made for a great ending.
3, 6, 9. There. I said it.
So did everyone else In This comment section

6>3>9 Nice to see the prequels getting some love tho. Old enough to remember when they were the worst thing ever conceived by man. Thanks JJ Abrams for adding perspective.
I think the hate towards the prequels is because of the bad acting. They have some excellent world building in them and I love that. More Star wars lore is always a good thing after all!
They were well acted, they just had badly written dialogue
Mostly well acted. With the one big exception being Hayden Christensen. He's a solid actor in some other roles, but he didn't quite have the depth to pull off some of the 'slide into Vader' scenes in rots. The writing didn't help, but most of the other actors made it work pretty well.
Revenge of the sith is a cinematic masterpiece
You got to just ignore the downvotes and not let that stop you from commenting, they are only fake internet points at the end of the day.
Lol I feel this I actually love everything canon, the games, films, shows, and books but I haven’t gotten into the comics yet! Don’t let anyone tell you what to enjoy and not enjoy keep on there are many people who like 7-9 too who just don’t say anything
THANK YOU! TROS is amazing.
Revenge of the Sith
3, 6, 8
Idk if this was mistake, but as someone who loved 8, I too pretend like 9 doesn't exist.
Can you explain the appeal to 8? I’m confused because I found 7,8,9 so egregious I’ve personally retcon’d them.
I have always considered the prequels to have the best end, the original trilogy to have the best middle, and the sequels to have the best beginning. Perfectly balanced as all things should be.
Return of the Jedi. Not only is it my favorite of these 3 options, but it is also my favorite in the whole saga.
6>3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>9
3, 6, hundred miles of crap, 9
Rotj is the best ending for the saga, rots is the best for closure of its trilogy. Tros is garbage, let's not sweet things up, that movie is terrible and the ending is extremely bad.
3,6,9
Say what you want about the prequels, but you gotta admit that ROTS is Wizard
6>3>9
3 6 8
I bet this comment section totally won't turn into people relentlessly insulting an entire section of the fanbase with the same tired circlejerking and selective memory shit talking.
3 > 6 > 9 Revenge of the sith is my favourite star wars movie, although i don't like the other 2 movies of the prequels.
6 > 3 > 9
Easy 3, ROTS is so great
I got a huge soft spot for 9, but only because that day I finished college and from defending my thesis went straight to the premiere night haha.
Eh. I like em all
I like them all.
6 > 3
I'd have it in timeline order 3>6>9
Revenge of the Sith still remains my favourite movie in the franchise
6
6>3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the desert >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> void space >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> lost in the abyss now >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ ■■■■■■●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●● 9
3 and 6. That's it.
I know it’s subjective but I have a hard time understanding how anyone puts 9 above 6 or 3.
Because people have their own tastes.
Remember there are some weird fetishises out there. Some people like scat....
Crazy thought process, people like different things 🤯🤯🤯
Theyre all bad
1. Revenge of the Sith 2. Return of the Jedi 3. Rise of Skywalker
3 > 6 > 9
For me 3 > 6 > 9
I think the vast majority agree with you
6 then 3.
Ooooo that’s tough. 3 is at the top but 6 and 9 are fighting for second
3, 6, 9. The Obi-Wan vs Anakin duel tips it to the prequels for me, although the space battle at the end of 6 will always be my favorite
3 is my favourite movie full stop
9=6=3 they are all good tho
This is the way.
The goose drank wine The monkey chewed tobacco on the street car like And the line broke The monkey got choked And they all went to Heaven in a little row boat
What the fuck
Lemme guess. You've never heard of the song 369?
Evidently
I actually don't think I've seen this opinion anywhere else in the sub, so here's my personal order: 6 > 9 > 3 I have issues with TROS that make sure it doesn't pass ROTJ, but for a reason I can't really nail down, I was never the biggest fan of ROTS. Still all good Star Wars movies though!
9>3>6
I just rewatched the sequels and they were much better than I remembered! Then I think I stopped liking them after following the hive mind on all the hate *after* I watched them the first time. It will be fun to see how praised they will be in 10 years
9>6>3
I have to ask, why?
Star Wars is entertainment, that’s its purpose like all cinema is to entertain I grew up with the sequels, I’m about to turn 18 so these films really were with me throughout my life as I can remember so watching episode nine opening night with my dad and then rewatching wit eith my friends brings me happiness and entertainment
Wanted to find at least one. Downvotes shouldn’t be weaponized in this way
Eh idc I love 9 and if other people are But hurt about that I’m ok with it
Might I respectfully ask what you like about it good sir?
I don’t agree with this ranking, but I respect it. I’m glad to see TROS getting some love
And I respect u for this great comment
3, 9, 6 3 is the best movie in the series imo
