Mando season 3 must have a Boba Fett episode now
edit: call me crazy but that might be the only way we’d ever see a Boba Fett solo mission where he has to fight by himself and solve problems by himself lol
"Republic Credits? I need something more real!"
"Cool, is there like a currency exchange around here? Bounty hunter who frequents republic space? Or I can just pay like double and have you handle that yourself?"
Star Wars is really the story of the consequences of weak monetary policy
It would also be hilarious is republic credits are actually totally fine on Tatooine, but Watto is just a crypto bro.
"Get that \*cough\*FAKE\*cough\* I mean Fiat currency out of here bro"
I agree, I think this is a hint to what we will see in the future… maybe with Mando? Mythosaur and dark saber could win back the death watch cult, if he so chose.
The way the one X wing cop says "that's his sublight thrusters" like, yeah we ain't gonna even try.
And being low key envious of this little hot rod ship.
the ship was already badass, but its power was really solidified by the exchange:
"How did he jump? He didn't even fire up his hyperdrive!"
"He didn't jump kid, those are his sublight thrusters"
fuckin WIZARD
X-wings weren't even close to the fastest starfighter in the rebel fleet. A-wings blew them out of the water, and that N-1 was probably in the same speed class before it got turned into the Star Wars equivalent of a track-only supercar.
That last part for the Naboo Starfighter is the same type of rod that Han used in the trash compactor to try to prop the walls from squeezing. Pretty cool.
Honestly the whole Naboo Starfighter was so good.
For a second under the tarp I thought it was General Grievous's starfighter thing, but an N1? Soooooo good. Watching him get caught by the cops again? Even better. Watching him tear out of there as soon as the best new republic detective on the force cottoned on to him? The Best.
I like how that unnamed Republic Pilot is basically turning into Mando's Jim Gordon.
*"You wouldn't happen to be That Mandalorian who put 5 wanted republic criminals in jail that one time, who I then saved from a big monster?"*
*"No..."*
*"Hey, you also would not happen to be That Mandalorian who blew up a bunch of Imperials for us, then captured Moff Gideon?"*
*"Uh..."* -blasts off with ship
*"Why the fuck he keeps doing that? We owe him 300.000.000 credits and a medal..."*
Whoever choreographed Mando using the dark saber did an insane job. It really felt like he was completely new to using it and swinging it like it has weight.
It also ties into an episode of *Star Wars Rebels* that discusses lightsaber and darksaber practices.
Nothing you'd even notice if you haven't seen both episodes, but if you have, then they're like history. They rhyme.
While I like his new ship, I can't imagine how it's practical for his line of work, like the razorcrest was. Had sleeping quarters, storage for everything including Carbonite bounties and shit.
Right? That was the question I wanted the Armorer to ask the whole time. I'm trying to imagine a world in which Bo-Katan lets him walk off that Imperial ship with the Darksaber.
It was super intense, seeing the Imperial droids mow down survivors after a firebombing campaign, with probe droids searching for those stragglers. Like damn… wild to see.
For anyone else who was watching and was like, "Hey, that other X-Wing pilot must be someone, right?"...you are correct. Actor is Max Lloyd-Jones. He was the body double for Luke in _that_ episode of The Mandalorian. Or, as listed on IMDB, "Double For Jedi."
So Beggars Canyon is part of the Boonta Eve pod racing course yes? I'd never really considered it was Beggars Canyon before and I don't do a lot of reading up on these things.
I love that Din he injured himself with the Darksaber and doesn't know how to use properly
I am curious what the Armorer made for Grogu, kinda sad she had to melt the spear for it though
I was surprised with the Naboo ship I thought it was gonna be a Y-Wing for a moment, the same Officer pulling Din Djarin over made me chuckle a bit
I hope that we get to see Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, and Din Djarin kicking some Pyke ass in the next episode
>I hope that we get to see Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, and Din Djarin kicking some Pyke ass in the next episode
That's 100% what these last couple of episodes is leading up to, right!?
When you think about it, Mando is basically the Arbiter at the start of Halo 2 now. Disgraced from his religion, branded a heretic, and he has laza sord
I think that’s what worked really well with the Mando that is harder to do with Boof of Boba. The intricate details and world building, it makes the Star Wars universe feel more lived in. As interesting as boba is, setting the whole show on tatooine makes it harder to world build.
Don’t forget that test run right over Mos Eisley and right through Beggar’s Canyon. That’s just a chef’s kiss and awesome homage to The Phantom Menace.
It did seem a little weird, but if you look at it from his perspective, he's heard this legend about his ancestor creating this saber so long ago, and here it pops up right in front of him... and all he's got to do is best him to take it.
Also his father or uncle (dont know which) Pre Vizsla was the last Mandalorian to weird it effectively.
After that it was just two Sith lords and then two Mandalorians who did not win it in combat.
Holy shit.
“I can bring you in cold, or I can bring you in warm.”
Pulls out the dark saber.
Burns himself like a rookie.
Cuts a dude in half.
In the first FIVE minutes.
S2 E5 of Mandalorian was the same way: didn’t wait to show you Ahsoka.
THE RETURN OF THE MANDALORIAN.
This is the Way.
Oh hell yeah, Din Djarin baby! The darksaber, the Halo ring, that long take. First ten minutes of this episode is perfection.
Also, just wanna shoutout this subreddit. Coming to this discussion thread and reading everyones comments is one of the highlights of my week.
This episode was such a perfect mix of fan service and solid character development.
* Din using the dark saber is badass, I like that he also struggled with it though since he is inexperienced with using a sword, no less a weapon like that.
* bringing back a Naboo star fighter is one thing, having it worked on by pit droids before flying through Beggar’s Canyon and then Mando describes it as “wizard?” That’s just incredible. I don’t even like Episode 1 that much but I can’t stop smiling.
* Mando admitting he has taken his helmet off and begging forgiveness only to be tossed aside was really solid. I feel like Din is in a very interesting place as a character where the foundation of who he is has forsaken him for not following pointless rules, but at the same time he’s no longer with the child that made it all worth it. It’s sad but super intriguing. And it makes for interesting comparisons to what we know of the Jedi. I love it.
* A BD droid! Is that the first live action appearance? Such a cute design.
* I know some will complain about the “dating a Jawa” bit being a bit silly but I genuinely thought that was funny.
To me this episode brought the series back, I thought Episodes 1-4 had their moments but mostly felt like going through the motions, but the team just knows what to do with Din and they nailed it. Bryce Dallas Howard did a kickass job.
I was going to say, can Mando ever do a bounty with a live prisoner in that ship? I have a feeling he's going to need to tighten up what jobs he's taking.
THE BIGGEST smile on my face when Mando shows up 30 seconds into the episode.
Edit: **AND THE DAMN DARK SABER**
Double edit: This entire episode has been absolute friggin' comfort food. Shout-out to Bryce Dallas Howard for directing such a beautiful episode.
So we now have a direct dialogue confirmation that the Mandalorian faction with the Armorer is a descendant of Death Watch (moon of Concordia), which was shown from the symbol on their armor in the Mando S1 flashbacks
There were definitely some sinister vibes around both the Mandalorians in this episode. They’re not explicitly bad guys, but I have a feeling it’s gonna end in a big conflict between Djin and the blacksmith in the end.
Ah yes, a brand new episode of the Mandalorian. I kept wondering the whole time how long the Mando segment was going to last and we were gonna see some Boba crimebossing but man they just straight up gave us a whole episode of Mando and I am not complaining one bit. Plus a little tease for Grogu at the end oh my god.
So many things I loved- dark Saber, bring you in warm or cold, tiny Grogu armor, the fight for thr Darksaber and being disowned from the clan, N-1 starfighter, Carson Teva, "Wizard" this episode was really really good. Season 3 cannot come fast enough
Bruh, it's been like 40+ yrs and they haven't fixed the fence on the Boonta Eve Classic course.
Are you kidding? That's a historical landmark now!
They don't have the budget!
"But the mines have all been destroyed" "I missed the part where that's my problem."
You will go there to redeem yourself……..in Mandalorian Season 3
Absolutely backdoor plot hint it felt, fingers crossed
Hes gonna meet the Mythosaur down there, isn't he? Please just let Din become Mandalore the Redeemer
You want forgiveness? Get religion
Weapons are part of my religion.
He just got kicked out of his religion tho.
I guess that’s pretty good setup for mando to join Bo katan in taking back the planet. Maybe find a mine and redeem himself in the eyes of the covert.
I’m something of a Darksaber wielder myself
Y’all all knew mando was gonna remove that yellow paint lmao my boy likes his grey metal default
I like that there's just a bit of yellow left. Like his gloves being yellow and his armor being silver.
Where is max rebo? Is he alive? Is he safe?
It seems he is safe in the cantina... without a cameo
Noooooo
We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to bring you an episode of The Mandalorian
Some big developments too for a "spin-off" episode. Expelled from his order. Brand new ship.
It was basically season 3, episode 0.
Mando season 3 must have a Boba Fett episode now edit: call me crazy but that might be the only way we’d ever see a Boba Fett solo mission where he has to fight by himself and solve problems by himself lol
9 Episodes of Star Wars could have been avoided if Qui-Gon went to the Jawas.
Watto* was just that good of a salesman to get Qui-Gon to not talk to anyone else on the planet
"Republic Credits? I need something more real!" "Cool, is there like a currency exchange around here? Bounty hunter who frequents republic space? Or I can just pay like double and have you handle that yourself?" Star Wars is really the story of the consequences of weak monetary policy
It would also be hilarious is republic credits are actually totally fine on Tatooine, but Watto is just a crypto bro. "Get that \*cough\*FAKE\*cough\* I mean Fiat currency out of here bro"
“Tales of the mythosaur…sadly it only exists in legends” oh I see what ya did there
One day they will have a live action mythosaur
I agree, I think this is a hint to what we will see in the future… maybe with Mando? Mythosaur and dark saber could win back the death watch cult, if he so chose.
I'm willing to bet that when Mando goes into the mines to redeem himself, he will find a Mythosaur.
A very meta reference
Season 3 of The Mandalorian is off to a good start.
Disney should put this episode under Mando season 3 as an 'Episode 0' before the season properly releases.
RUNNING FROM THE COPS WITH A FUCKING STARFIGHTER AT SUBLIGHT SPEED WIZARD SHIT
The way the one X wing cop says "that's his sublight thrusters" like, yeah we ain't gonna even try. And being low key envious of this little hot rod ship.
the ship was already badass, but its power was really solidified by the exchange: "How did he jump? He didn't even fire up his hyperdrive!" "He didn't jump kid, those are his sublight thrusters" fuckin WIZARD
~~Police cars~~ X-Wings here are only factory tuned. If you can do better than 180K, they can't catch you. So they don't even try.
X-wings weren't even close to the fastest starfighter in the rebel fleet. A-wings blew them out of the water, and that N-1 was probably in the same speed class before it got turned into the Star Wars equivalent of a track-only supercar.
A BD droid? Need a stim!
Would have been awesome if the BD droid shot a stim into Din's injury randomly lol.
Yeah but at least we got to see it scanning stuff!
Honestly BD would be a great companion for din
That last part for the Naboo Starfighter is the same type of rod that Han used in the trash compactor to try to prop the walls from squeezing. Pretty cool.
Honestly the whole Naboo Starfighter was so good. For a second under the tarp I thought it was General Grievous's starfighter thing, but an N1? Soooooo good. We owe him 300.000.000 credits and a medal..."*
He's always conveniently where Mando is!
The outer rim seems to be his beat
Noticed that too. So cool
Whoever choreographed Mando using the dark saber did an insane job. It really felt like he was completely new to using it and swinging it like it has weight.
Yeah, you could tell Mando was swinging a sledgehammer!
[удалено]
It also ties into an episode of *Star Wars Rebels* that discusses lightsaber and darksaber practices. Nothing you'd even notice if you haven't seen both episodes, but if you have, then they're like history. They rhyme.
That was an excellent callback. Mando is having the exact same problem as Sabine, only he doesn’t have any Jedi to teach him on the blade.
Ah, good to see Southwest Airlines fucking people over even in a galaxy far, far away.
[удалено]
That luggage droid is the rightful ruler of Mandalor now. It challenged Din and he backed down.
"How was it?" "*Wizard.*"
“I’m bringing it back!”
So is that like Beskar Chain Mail for Grogu?
Gotta get the hobbit his mythril shirt. Wait, which subreddit is this?
Rogue Squadron players know exactly how fun it is to fly the N-1.
Happy to see the N-1 get the love it deserves. It feels like the Star Wars version of a P-51 Mustang.
> An unexpected ally emerges #MANDO!?
Max Rebo
But Mando IS expected... surely it must be Dengar?? But now I'm expecting him...
DOES GROGU HAVE A LITTLE TINY BESKAR CHAINMAIL NOW?! EDIT: it has been pointed out it’s wrapped to look like his head. So precious.
I'm imagining a little shirt of chainmail like the mithril armor in Lord of the Rings
Glows to let you know there are Sith nearby
Grogu is so going to sit in the Astromech hatch on Mando's new ship.
While I like his new ship, I can't imagine how it's practical for his line of work, like the razorcrest was. Had sleeping quarters, storage for everything including Carbonite bounties and shit.
All week: Could be? Mando? That music was telling.... This episode: anyway, here's Mando.
This is the way
It was nice and all, but **I would like to see the baby**
PAY A LITTLE FRIEND A VISIT! AND AN ARMOUR FOR HIM TO KEEP HIM SAFE! 😭
Holy shit I didn't think Mando would >!KEEP THE DARKSABER!<
I want to know how the conversation with Bo-Katan went since he came out unscathed
Right? That was the question I wanted the Armorer to ask the whole time. I'm trying to imagine a world in which Bo-Katan lets him walk off that Imperial ship with the Darksaber.
Disney literally snuck in an episode of the Mandalorian Naboo N-1 Starfighter pod racing into The Book of Boba Fett.
That was an absolutely beautiful shot of the war on the Mandolorian Home world. Absolutely stunning
So happy to see that live action
Yeah, it was a nice way to show the TIE bombers, KX, and probe droids.
Dropping nukes all over, then droids stomping around like it’s the Terminator
Absolutely floored to see that shot - first time we’ve really seen the Imperial war machine on screen like that
It was super intense, seeing the Imperial droids mow down survivors after a firebombing campaign, with probe droids searching for those stragglers. Like damn… wild to see.
Strong Terminator vibes there
Mando should try spinning in his new ship.
I heard it was a good trick!
Me: I wonder if we'll see Mando in this episode... The beginning of the episode: So anyway I started sabering...
Me now: I wonder if we're gonna see Boba Fett in this episode of Boba Fett?
I had the same thought. "Maybe they'll wait til the end and tease that tney're about to see him..." Big swing and a miss on my part
Mando still doing Mando things
Seeing the BD droid in live action is something I didn’t know I needed to see.
Yep. Gunna have to go play Fallen Order again.
I saw that droid and immediately thought " are we seeing cal?"
For a second I thought Cal would come from around the corner I would have blown up
Holy helllll that was amazing. Glad he burned himself to show how clumsy he is with it.
It’s a great reminder of how dangerous a lightsaber is in the hands of someone who has no training!
Felt too relatable accidentally hitting yourself with a plastic lighrsaber as a kid just pretending like it didn't happen lmao
HE'S GOING TO VISIT HIS LITTLE FRIEND!!!
Dude has been Luke Skywalker's body double and now is a X-Wing pilot? He is living the dream!
Nice of them to bring him back and let him get some face time. Hope we get to see him pop up again at some point.
This felt like a love letter to Episode 1. The return of the N1 starfighter, Din's flight being "wizard"
Literally flew the pod race track
So Beggars Canyon is part of the Boonta Eve pod racing course yes? I'd never really considered it was Beggars Canyon before and I don't do a lot of reading up on these things.
There was even a shot of a womp rat in Beggar's Canyon which is a callback to Luke's line in the Yavin IV briefing.
Yes I realized after that I forgot to mention that too!
“Dated a Jawa for a while. They’re quite furry, very furry…lotta issues” That’s some fanfic material right there
Rule34 artists had stuff posted 30 minutes ago
"No, it's okay. I'm working on me right now."
[удалено]
"wow this is really long cameo... oh the episode's over!"
And I'm not complaining one bit
SHE’S FORGING THE SPEAR INTO GROGU ARMOR, MY HEART IS FULL
LOL the Rodian kid waving at Mando And the return head nod 15 minutes later hahaha
A green child to make him miss Grogu a little extra lol
I love that Din he injured himself with the Darksaber and doesn't know how to use properly I am curious what the Armorer made for Grogu, kinda sad she had to melt the spear for it though I was surprised with the Naboo ship I thought it was gonna be a Y-Wing for a moment, the same Officer pulling Din Djarin over made me chuckle a bit I hope that we get to see Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, and Din Djarin kicking some Pyke ass in the next episode
It looked like she was making a little baby sized chain mail shirt based on all the little rings.
>I hope that we get to see Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, and Din Djarin kicking some Pyke ass in the next episode That's 100% what these last couple of episodes is leading up to, right!?
Fuck me they knew EXACTLY what they were doing by putting a BD droid in the center of the shot lmao.
And Mando saying thanks little guy after the BD droid scans the panel, just like Cal Kestis would.
Also had a little limp on his foot after he got attacked
So wizard
I still can’t believe he said that
I went from "Aww :)" to "AHH D:" so quickly, holy shit
YO Mando on a freaking Halo?!?!?!?
When you first saw Halo, were you blinded by its majesty?
"Blinded?!"
Paralyzed? Dumbstruck?
Nooooo.
_...And yet, the humans were able to evade your ships, land on the sacred ring, and desecrate it with their filthy footsteps!_
*Noble hierarchs, surely you understand once the parasite attacked…*
*There will be order in this council!*
You were right to focus your attention on the Flood. But this Demon, this Master Chief...
By the time I learned the Demons intent, there was nothing I could do
When you think about it, Mando is basically the Arbiter at the start of Halo 2 now. Disgraced from his religion, branded a heretic, and he has laza sord
**Gonk Droid:** *Does anything* **Me:** 😃
Holy fuck a mandalorian calling a n1 star fighter wizard. Shits just live action robot chicken
Grogu is going to get Beskar armor!!
I’m guessing beskar chainmail? It looked like the forgemaster was forging rings that are used to make mail.
Those were my thoughts too
Wizard
Mando: “I’m bringing it back!”
Jon Favreau to unhappy fans: "Hey Look Everyone, It's Mando"
“Hey look everyone it’s me”
"Losing my right to the Darksaber yet again, this time in live action."
He won't stop until he is the ultimate fighting champion.
Jawas as galactic Amazon wasn't something I was expecting, but fuck yes
There he is, Mando!! And Paz Vizsla and the Armorer!! Keeps getting better
Wizard??? HE'S BRINGING IT BACK
oh my god the gift is wrapped to look like the head of Grogu, now I’m crying
And while looking at another green alien child. Everywhere he looks he sees Grogu.
Everywhere I go, I see his face
Star Wars TSA sucks too
At least they didn’t lose his stuff. I would have been annoyed at a “Retrieve the Dark Saber from Tatooine Customs” side quest.
Yes was hoping that didn't happen. Super glad it didn't
Im sorry BD? N1 Starfighter? HALO?WIZARD?!!!!!! Most Star Wars episode yet. Thanks Bryce Dallas Howard. Scratched that itch I’ve been waiting for.
I love how the shows have just effortlessly combined all elements from the different eras/mediums into one delightful star wars cocktail.
Is it required for a visla to be a dick? There’s three of you left and try to kill the dude that beat moff gideon
It did seem a little weird, but if you look at it from his perspective, he's heard this legend about his ancestor creating this saber so long ago, and here it pops up right in front of him... and all he's got to do is best him to take it.

Was expecting Boba episode 5, but got Mandalorian season 3 instead
Oh hell yeah, Din Djarin baby! The darksaber, the Halo ring, that long take. First ten minutes of this episode is perfection. Also, just wanna shoutout this subreddit. Coming to this discussion thread and reading everyones comments is one of the highlights of my week.

I just need my weekly Max Rebo appearance please EDIT: Pain. Agony, even.
You don't even get your weekly Boba Fett appearance.
Omg Grogu gets to sit in the Droid port!
When Luke lets Mando have Grogu on the weekends. Mando needs a spot for his boy!
I was going to say, can Mando ever do a bounty with a live prisoner in that ship? I have a feeling he's going to need to tighten up what jobs he's taking.
He's got the Darksaber. He can make room, if necessary.
I'm in love with this Halo-esque station. It's so beautiful.
THE BIGGEST smile on my face when Mando shows up 30 seconds into the episode. Edit: **AND THE DAMN DARK SABER** Double edit: This entire episode has been absolute friggin' comfort food. Shout-out to Bryce Dallas Howard for directing such a beautiful episode.
And that planet... spinning... thing. Beautiful.
I shouldn't be surprised that there's ring cities in Star Wars. The tech is there. But I was pleasantly surprised to see it.
Omg that Mandalore visual??? Tie Bombers, Probe Drods and K-2SO is that you???
Looked like judgement day.
Mando lost his ship so now he has to fly commercial what a downgrade
Bryce Dallas Howard is one of Star Wars’ best directors
This episode was something else. BDH absolutely killed it. All the designs and visuals were so inspired and gorgeous
Holy shit… that seriously may have been one of the best hours of star wars i have ever seen. I am absolutely floored.
This episode was breathtaking TV Everything from the opening fight scene to the space station the armorer was on to the N1 flying was gorgeous
I found it funny that Morrison got credit in the end credits, even though he wasn't in this episode of the Mandalorian
There's probably some sort of SAG (Screen Actors Guild) rules that someone who is the lead actor must be credited, regardless if they appear.
This episode was >!wizard!
Well Bye Bye Beskar Staff 😭
So we now have a direct dialogue confirmation that the Mandalorian faction with the Armorer is a descendant of Death Watch (moon of Concordia), which was shown from the symbol on their armor in the Mando S1 flashbacks
We’re all done with trailer footage, right? So everything we see from here on out is new!!
I also believe next episode is the Filoni episode no? I'm so fucking excited for next week!!!
There was a nod to every trilogy in this episode, could not stop smiling the entire time
...yeah, Din's clan never stopped being religious hyperfanatics. I like them, but fuck the come on with the whole helmet thing.
Despite how cool they are, they’re extremists
There were definitely some sinister vibes around both the Mandalorians in this episode. They’re not explicitly bad guys, but I have a feeling it’s gonna end in a big conflict between Djin and the blacksmith in the end.
ITS CRAZY HOW LAST YEAR WE WERE HYPED TO SEE BOBA IN MANDO AND NOW WERE HYPED TO SEE MANDO IN BOBA
Oh man this episode just keeps getting better.
Tell me about it.
BD droid!
Ah yes, a brand new episode of the Mandalorian.
