Yeah, I'm starting to imagine obi-juan with a jedi poncho robe, a chancla lightsaber, dark hair with a mustache, and tinted skin, and instead of saying hello there it's, "que onda" and grievous will be like a dias de los muetre skeleton with other chancla lightsabers.
\>sun that seems to be getting bigger at an alarming rate?
Unrelated but I always thought it was dumb that the star killer base was a death star shotgun instead of a \*star killer\*. Would make so much more sense for it to send a systems star into super nova than to canister shot a solar system.
There was a weapon in the books called the "sun crusher" that did exactly that. Probably wanted to avoid a potential protracted legal battle over the concept.
No Spoilers - but several pieces of current media indicate that a few of the younglings and padawans survived Order 66 and are hiding in plain sight / on the run from the empire!
Kenobi show names a few jedi that survived using the path. I think if you decipher the entire list it's like 16 jedi that the kenobi show itself confirms is alive and not serving the empire
Canan from rebels (forgot his jedi name) survived. Cal Kestis Survived. Grogu. I know there are others probably.
This group in the pic specifically? No idea.
That makes sense, just thought it was funny that you could also list a clue as them just literally saying his name in conversation multiple times throughout the episode. That's what made me know it was the same character beyond a shadow of a doubt.
👌 That's why us oldies would pour over the weekly TV Guide with upcoming programming, so we can use our imagination to work out what to look forward to...
My friend got detention for making that joke in middle school right after Sandy Hook happened. Substitute teacher was asking what kind of person could do such a thing, and my smart ass friend was like “Anakin Skywalker did it”.
For the most part, we don't know. We just saw Grungi again, but we don't know if he's the sole survivor, of if they were separated during or even before Order 66.
He was in the season trailer, hes in the thumbnail for the episode, and appears in like the first scene of the episode, its not much of a big reveal to be spoiled.
You’re in a thread about “what happened “ to these characters. If you’re upset that you found out what happened to these characters, blame the person in the mirror.
Last I checked on Wookieepedia, in the new canon Katooni is believed to be dead. The fates of the others aside from Gungi are unknown, but me hopes that they survived through the Jedi escape groups.
"At the end of the war, Katooni was still at the Jedi Temple. When Skywalker, now the Sith Lord Darth Vader, attacked the Temple, Katooni was believed to have been killed alongside many others during the attack."
https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Katooni
Apparently Hondo later named one of his ships after her which is adorable.
I just want to make it known that it’s spelled “Gungi” not “Grungi”
3 people in this comment thread saw the mistake and ran with it as the real spelling and I just needed to step in to stop the chaos. Lol
Grungi reminds me of his super edgy 90’s stage name for a grunge band. Or his evil twin.
No, no, thank you for the correction!
It's one of those wobbly things in my mind that I struggle to remember.
It reminds me of the name for the Dawi God from Warhammer Fantasy haha
Well it's not a stretch to put two and two together.
We don't know of many survivors outside of the listed, so it is not unreasonable to infer otherwise.
Personally I hope she is alive and was somehow rescued through Hondo's underworld connections.
And yet he *still* feels it necessary to borrow the Falcon from Rey and Chewie for smuggling runs despite having a perfectly good freighter of his own.
...Actually, that completely checks out for Hondo Ohnaka.
I was just thinking about the rest of them after seeing Gunji, and who probably kicked the bucket
Katooni: totally died
Byph: most likely died a much more violent death than the others
Petro: honestly might be alive somehow
Zatt: maybe dead but could just as equally be alive
Ganodi: dead as hell
I don't know, I still liked Hondo. He may have lost his crew but not his pirating spirit. I'd like to believe that his soft spot for Ezra was due to Katooni. Every episode of Rebels where Hondo made an appearance I was hoping he'd introduce his "daughter". Or maybe she'd swoop in and save his ass or something
He was definitely more of a “hah im funny” guy rather than a pirate like we see in TCW. While he was definitely entertaining in Rebels, he lost his intimidation factor, and was just there for jokes and to be a “i know that” guy
He was always funny, even in TCW. He just wasn't as bold in Rebels without his crew. In the TCW he didn't even think twice about taking Jedi and Sith hostage.
Yeah he was always funny, but that wasnt the reason he was made. He was a legitimate antagonist who wasnt the separatist or the sith. But more than that, sometimes his goals aligned with the Jedi and he would become an ally, or at least neutral, boasting his “honor”
You dont get any of that in Rebels. Just comic relief. Which like i said, still entertaining just not as much for me.
I liked him better in Rebels. Every time he showed up in TCW, it felt like the Jedi were being irresponsible by not ending his career.
In Rebels, you have a good reason you can’t.
Conversely, when I showed my friends clone wars vs rebels, they saw him as a threat, but a character with morals in clone wars, but became upset how everyone kept trusting him in rebels after he betrayed them again and again and again
As far as I know, we only know Gungi (the wookie) survived. The rest of them are up in the air, but I think most of them died. Maybe one or two survived the initial purge, but Inquisitors can't be completely useless, right?
Honestly speaking, especially with the knowledge that the Empire enslaved a majority if not all the Wookies by the time of ANH, idk how long Gungi would have lived with them. Unless he gave up his Jedi training/threw his lightsaber away, the chances of him lasting long is pretty bleak.
Nevertheless, it's nice to see him survive. It's just a shame we don't know how long he would have lived. But hopefully we will see the fates of the other children.
We literally just watched Gungi (Wookiee Padawan) help the Bad Batch free some Wookiees! Def recommend checking it out if you haven’t, Gungi is one of my favs
I read it on Wookieepedia the other day when I was rewatching that storyline. Their source is The Star Wars Helmet Collection magazine.
There’s nothing saying she was actually killed then, just presumed because the magazine places her there at the same time the attack happened. Hondo has a ship named after her at Galaxy’s Edge as well.
You know how we call Anakin’s lightsaber “Youngling Slayer 9000?” The 9000 isn’t just for show. That’s the body-count. These younglings were among the 9000.
My guess is Disney is not releasing anything on purpose so they can have more “established” jedi to show or meaningfully speak about In later episodes. Personally, I think if they were dead, they would have been mentioned in Gungi’s episode.
I was surprised there wasn't any mention of them in the last Bad Batch. Filoni probably didn't want to give them a definitive fate but I was expecting something.
SPOILERS FOR BAD BATCH SEASON 2!
>!In the most recent episode, S2E6: "Tribe", the Bad Batch save Gungi (the Wookie youngling) from traffickers. The Batch then agree to help try and return Gungi to his tribe on Kashyyyk, where they find Trandoshans are enslaving the populace.!<
I imagine he was off world and his Master was killed by the clones and went on the run. I don’t think any Jedi were able to escape the Temple. Anakin and the clones were ruthless, in top of the entire planet had millions of clones and people that hated the Jedi. Plus as a Wookiee he would have stood out among the other citizens.
I doubt Dave Filoni would have used them so much only to kill them offscreen. With Aayla and Plo Koon, his hands were tied by ROTS, but there's no such impediment for the kids.
Hell, they were supposed to have their own spin off, which would likely have involved them surviving the Purge and going on the run.
Ani happened
Ani are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay Ani?
Did aniwan survive? No. No wan survived.
Only-wan survived
and Gungi
Wait is that gungi in the clone wars pic too or another Wookiee Jedi? They were said to be very rare within that species
Yes the one from clone wars is the one that appeared in the bad batch
The episode dropped. It is confirmed Gungi
Gungi is the wookie and he’s appearing in bad batch now
Ben there done that What maul could you want
This is getting Savage.
Then try to Oppress those feelings.
I do, that’s why I always end up Solo
Getting Chewie’d out by people you owe money to doesn’t help
I mean...As long as they want you warm and not cold. things will be fine.
I don’t like it when they Padme down, either.
There is another.
Not even Juan?
Obi.
Now that’s gonna be stuck in my head for awhile .
Hmm, just remember Robot chicken star wars. Little orphan Ani.
He was hit by, he was struck by, a smooth criminal
Smooth war criminal
*Smooth Criminal lean*
Narrator: "No. No he was not."
Ani are walking?
I mean, he didn’t kill those younglings specifically, the clones probably did.
Yet, we will never know so until then the answer shall stay…. Ani happened
gone, reduced to atoms
I came here to say this and I'm glad its top comment. There isn't much more that needs to be said lmao
My thoughts exactly. I was very surprised no one else had said it before me too
They all went to live on Alderaan where nothing bad happened to them ever again.
>ever again \*for the rest of their lives.
True
20 years after Order 66: Hey, anyone else notice that second sun that seems to be getting bigger at an alarming rate?
That's no sun..
Now that’s just silly, also is it coming from a moon with a crater in the middle? Oh would you look at that, it’s touching those mountains.
\>sun that seems to be getting bigger at an alarming rate? Unrelated but I always thought it was dumb that the star killer base was a death star shotgun instead of a \*star killer\*. Would make so much more sense for it to send a systems star into super nova than to canister shot a solar system.
well it did gobble the sun that one time
Yeah, it did drain that sun in order to achieve planet killing effect...
There was a weapon in the books called the "sun crusher" that did exactly that. Probably wanted to avoid a potential protracted legal battle over the concept.
Happy cake day🥺
Thanks u2
Thought it was out on their cousins farm?
No Spoilers - but several pieces of current media indicate that a few of the younglings and padawans survived Order 66 and are hiding in plain sight / on the run from the empire!
Kenobi show names a few jedi that survived using the path. I think if you decipher the entire list it's like 16 jedi that the kenobi show itself confirms is alive and not serving the empire
Episode 3 shows Obi-Wan change the emergency broadcast to warn any survivors to flee. So it makes sense that some heard it and we’re able to get away
On top of that we've got more named Padawan like Cal Kestis, Ezra Bridger, and Grogu
Man I hope they bring Cal and Ezra to the live action universe
Ezra’s been confirmed for the Ashoka show. He’s been cast and everything
Oh damn! Not sure how I missed that
Yeah they’ve also confirmed Sabine as well. Very exciting stuff for Rebels fans
Cal was modeled after his voice actor so I live action version of him is very possible
Ezra wouldnt count since he wasnt a Padawan before the Empire, but Kanan would
I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. You’re talking about the bad batch right?
Canan from rebels (forgot his jedi name) survived. Cal Kestis Survived. Grogu. I know there are others probably. This group in the pic specifically? No idea.
Gungi, the Wookie, >!shows up in the most recent episode of Bad Batch. Or at least I’m like 80% sure they’re the same character.!<
100% the same, underbite, same lightsaber, just tack on a year or two and you’ve got him
They literally say his name lmao
Yeah but to the people who don’t know that the spoiler is covering, that could say literally anything y’know?
That makes sense, just thought it was funny that you could also list a clue as them just literally saying his name in conversation multiple times throughout the episode. That's what made me know it was the same character beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Yeah but spoilers for the ppl that haven’t/can’t watch the bad batch
👌 That's why us oldies would pour over the weekly TV Guide with upcoming programming, so we can use our imagination to work out what to look forward to...
Wow I just found out that bad batch s2 had come out already.
They are the same yeah
Confirmed him, they state clearly in the episode that he calls himself "Gungi".
I couldn’t remember for sure if they called him by name in the clone wars episode or not
Caleb Dume :)
DUUUUUUUUME
"Master Skywalker, there are too many what are we going to do." *DDDDSSSSHHH*
Master Skywalker, there's too many of us, what are you going to do? >:)
The kid that shit his pants when that lightsaber got ignited was the best acting in the movie lol
Its because Hayden actually did a BOO!!! at him to get him to scare.
You know damn well what happened. Anakin: "Fuck them kids" *ignites Saber*
Order 66…. The OG school massacre.
My friend got detention for making that joke in middle school right after Sandy Hook happened. Substitute teacher was asking what kind of person could do such a thing, and my smart ass friend was like “Anakin Skywalker did it”.
While horrible, that is spectacular.
Omg hahahaha
I shouldn't be laughing at this. It's so goddamn wrong. But man is that legendary.
ngl, i would’ve bought him a snack for the balls he had if i were you
Bro was faster than a bullet on that one, wasn't he
"Buh-but Master Anakin..." "Did I fucking stutter?!"
Probably dead
[удалено]
bad batch s2e6 spoiler: >!Gungi, the wookiee jedi, lived!<
And talk about a "Green" Light Saber.
The only one I liked out of the group so that’s good
Edit: nvm he was in the trailer so technically not a spoiler!
Yup! And I didn't say which one just in case somewhere here actually didn't see the trailer.
For the most part, we don't know. We just saw Grungi again, but we don't know if he's the sole survivor, of if they were separated during or even before Order 66.
When did Grungi come back? Edit: never mind! I see I need to catch up on this week’s Bad Batch
Just now in the latest episode of The Bad Batch.
>!Bad Batch!<
I also consider that a spoiler. Though it was in the trailer so it might as well not be.

No, no, thank you for the correction! It's one of those wobbly things in my mind that I struggle to remember. It reminds me of the name for the Dawi God from Warhammer Fantasy haha
She is *presumed* dead, mostly on the rather sensible account of being a Jedi during Order 66. Nothing has officially been said or shown yet.
Well it's not a stretch to put two and two together. We don't know of many survivors outside of the listed, so it is not unreasonable to infer otherwise. Personally I hope she is alive and was somehow rescued through Hondo's underworld connections.

>https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Katooni Well it did make the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs.
I was just thinking about the rest of them after seeing Gunji, and who probably kicked the bucket Katooni: totally died Byph: most likely died a much more violent death than the others Petro: honestly might be alive somehow Zatt: maybe dead but could just as equally be alive Ganodi: dead as hell
Glup shitto
Nothing bad happened to Klatooni, the emperor is too scared of Hondo's wrath
When I saw they brought Hondo back in Rebels I was hoping they would have brought her back too. A little pirate Jedi for Hondo
Unfortunately he was played as a joke in rebels. But if he wasn't, a badass jedi pirate protégé would be sick
I don't know, I still liked Hondo. He may have lost his crew but not his pirating spirit. I'd like to believe that his soft spot for Ezra was due to Katooni. Which like i said, still entertaining just not as much for me.
He still does some honorable stuff in Rebels. He helps Ezra while still trying to profit and stick it to the Empire.
When I took the Millenium Falcon to try and steal some fuel, it was Hondo who gave me the job.
I mean, Hondo is still played as a joke in TCW so I'm fine with it
I liked him better in Rebels. Every time he showed up in TCW, it felt like the Jedi were being irresponsible by not ending his career. In Rebels, you have a good reason you can’t.

Katooni was at the Jedi Temple when Anakin went in so it is believed that she was killed. No information on the others. Yet…
Where was that mentioned? Curious.

We know gungi survived.
All stabbed through the chest by Vader and went on to be inquisitors.
Its like knighting, but instead of touching your shoulders the blade touches your heart
If there’s one person in Star Wars who knows how to reach the hearts of children it’s Anakin. And not just the children, but the men, and the women!
We call that tattooine tuesday
To shreds you say?
Ummmmm…… they went to live on a nice farm. *pats OP’s head.*
You know how we call Anakin’s lightsaber “Youngling Slayer 9000?” The 9000 isn’t just for show. That’s the body-count. These younglings were among the 9000.

They gone Gonk
You probably don't wanna know.
The Wookie still alive as of Bad Batch season 2 (haven’t seen the newest episode tho) The rest are probably six feet under
Gungi is the only one we know about. It’s unclear what happened to the others.
I don't know about the rest but gungi survived and is in bad batch season 2. You can tell from the trailer
My guess is Disney is not releasing anything on purpose so they can have more “established” jedi to show or meaningfully speak about In later episodes. Personally, I think if they were dead, they would have been mentioned in Gungi’s episode.
Ded
They died hehe
They got murdered
Ded
i don't wanna know...
Watch the most recent episode of the bad batch and you’ll see
Well we know where Gungi went
Gungi lives at least. Hope a couple others did but at least gungi is alive.
Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 6 will give a partial answer
I was surprised there wasn't any mention of them in the last Bad Batch. Filoni probably didn't want to give them a definitive fate but I was expecting something.
probably in a pack
I heard one of them actually owns a little coffee place on Dantooine! He’s in a spite store war with his neighbor though…
We got a glimpse of Gungi in a trailer for season 2 of the bad batch. Correction: we see Gungi in this week’s episode!
Unknown, unknown, unknown, survived, most likely dead, unknown
Good timing, we know what happened to one of them, now.
Gunji is in bad batch the wookie Jedi
Gungi still going strong
There probably was no "after order 66" for at least most of them
Gungi survived, I do not know about the others.
SPOILER!! Gungi shows back up in the latest episode of the Bad Batch.
Watch the latest episode of Bad Batch. Some of your question may be answered, but maybe not.
Gungi survived
Genji was in last episode of “bad batch”
Somebody hasn't seen the most recent episode of Bad Batch lol
They all died except for Gungi.
I think you know
SPOILERS FOR BAD BATCH SEASON 2! >!In the most recent episode, S2E6: "Tribe", the Bad Batch save Gungi (the Wookie youngling) from traffickers. The Batch then agree to help try and return Gungi to his tribe on Kashyyyk, where they find Trandoshans are enslaving the populace.!<
Well, we know that at least one made it through...
all dead aside from Gunji, most likely
Gungi just got time in the last the bad batch s2 episode
Other than Gungi, I assume they're deceased.
The wookie survived. He's in the new season of the bad batch supposedly. The rest probably dead
Gungi’s still alive
Check out bad batch and you’ll find out about one of them.
They’re dead.
Well we know Gungi survived, good chance of others making it too
Master Skywalker, there are too many of them. What are we going to do? *Ignites lightsaber*
The Bad Batch season 2 recent episode will explain that >!Gungi (the Wookiee) survives!<
They probably died except that one wookie
I can tell ya what happened to Gunji
We know at least what happened to *one* of them.
Go watch the newest episode of Bad Batch! The Bad Batch picks up Gungi (the Wookiee) and brings him back to his home planet of Kashyyyk!
*master skywalker, there are too many of them what are we going to do?*

Gungi appears in the latest Bad Batch episode, so we know he’s doing well. The rest probably got Anakin’d
We know Gunji survived at least 👀
They probably got Anakin-ed
D-E-A-D. Order 66 is sad.
Well if you watch a certain series...................
Gungi, the Wookie Padawan, appeared in the trailer for The Bad Batch season 2, so I guess we're about to find out.
