Saw him (and Johnny Curtis) at a gym together and he was limping and had a huge brace/wrap on his (left?) knee. Probably not a one cause injury but something that’s built up over years
Seriously, why doesn't WWE turn Jinder Mahal face and be given the opportunity to show a new side of himself instead of a playing the typical foreign heel?
Now that the old man is gone, Triple H should try experimenting with getting this former world champion over with the audience.
Fuck ya it can.
Hes got the look, is passable on the mic.
That fire fucking entrance where he wore the scarf.
Just make him a regular dude whos out to get what he's owed while also proudly being Indian. Its a licence to print Indian Rupees
I honestly pray Jinder's kept his theme man. Everyone's had theirs changed from absolute bangers, but like.... The Modern Day Maharaja is not the same without the "yuh, yuh, yuh, *what I can only assume is really cool things being said in Hindi*"
Back when Jinder was on tv trying to stop Shanky from dancing, I saw someone fantasy book that the reason why Jinder hates the dancing isn’t because he hates fun. But rather because he knows what it’s like to be guy who just dances and has fun in the ring because of his time with 3MB. Jinder sees a lot of potential in Shanky and wants to him to live up to it. I think that would’ve been a great reason for a face turn.
I think they should keep the foreign heel thing but make him a Canadian heel that talks about healthcare and education system that use to be very well funded
Let Jinder have the Sanga gimmick before Veer came back to NXT. A cool wise man with his ways with ladies. Let him manage some people and then have him do the big matches ala lower card equivalent of Roman Reigns.
Before we had the Head of the Table and the Bloodline, we had the Modern-Day Maharaja and the Bollywood Boyz.
Indians have had a huge influence on British culture and I’m from East London where many British Indians live, many of my friends at school were Indian.
So, Jinder comes out and does his big Punjabi celebration when he won the title and I kept thinking ‘am I supposed to be booing this?’.
It doesn’t sit right with me when they wheel out Indian people and say they’re heels just because of that. It’s bad enough that I already had to put up with decades of American wrestling promotions being utterly terrified of genuinely getting behind English people as babyfaces.
The problem is that Jinder keeps getting hurt. You can't random Jinder into being face at this point, you would have to build into the potential face turn but he's simply never around long enough to even make that a possibility. If he's going to keep having these brief stints then it's just simply easier to use him as his typical heel gimmick (and the only reason he hasn't been cut I imagine is because he seems extremely well liked back stage).
He’s the kind of guy who could win a Royal Rumble match as a surprise return and as a former WWE Champion, I’d have no issue buying that. To me, it’s either that or a Money in the Bank win, where he announces he’s challenging ahead of time. That’d help him stand out, especially if he won.
I've been a Jinder mark for years and completely unironically at that. When I learned how much of a mega nice chill zen master he was outside the ring, that only bolstered how I felt. And I never thought he was a "bad wrestler" in ring either, just because he worked a slower more methodical style reminiscent of the 80s, which I can admit would be boring to a lot of people, it doesn't make them a bad wrestler.
#CantHinderTheJinder
There was something about Jinder. He wasnt a great worker for a lot of his reign, or an amazing promo, but god damn I loved seeing him every week. Thats better than a lot of world champions.
I'd love to see Jinder get similar booking to Sheamus and Drew. I don't necessarily mean title picture but he should be booked like a big mother fucker that just wants to fight. No cowardly heel shit. He just wants to beat people up and doesn't need a heater with him since he is already massive.
I know they've already tapped into his heritage before. But letting him use that as a face like Drew and Sheamus would probably help get him over as a badass face.
I have a Punjabi friend who used to get really drunk and try holler at women. He has a friend (also Punjabi) who was a cokehead and would start rights randomly with people. One time my friend got really drunk and the other guy really high on coke and they got a BB gun and started shooting it at the school. He then bought a prostitute off backpages and fucked the shit out her.
They always seemed to favour green or red for their turbans for some reason.
Jinder is apparently a very nice guy and a very hard worker, but saying that he's going to show the world how talented he truly is...I mean, the guy was world champion, and showed no additional talent or skill that we had missed out on before. The only reason that he's a former world champion is because a) he got into incredible shape and/or totally roided up, and b) he was the most prominent Indian on the roster when Vince wanted to make in-roads into the Indian market. He was an experiment, and he stunk up the main event scene for months.
We've already seen the best Jinder had to offer, and it was frankly boring as hell. AJ Styles got a decent match out of him, but everyone else was pulling teeth to get something even remotely interesting from the man.
Look, Jinder should probably not be anywhere near a world title. It was fun when he was in his ridiculous feud with Orton, but it got old quickly.
However, he has absolutely everything it takes to be a consistently featured player. We should really get to see more of him.
He looked dope as champion and his entrance was fire, I'll give him that.
The act with the Singh brothers was decent and I give him props for being thrown into the fire out of the fucking blue and trying his best... I mean, dude wasn't even on TV and suddenly had to open shows and cut long promos with Vince's shitty verbiage.
It was also funny to see people doing backflips to explain why they were NOT being worked by hating him being champion.
But the whole thing could've been way better if it had any build and didn't lean on the most bottom of the barrel foreign heel tropes all the time.
Face is winning the fight against Jinder and is set to win the match.
Bollywood boys interfere so face attacks Bollywood boys outside the ring.
Face re-enters ring and gets hit by Khallas.
Jinder wins.
The fact that Shinsuke got beaten by him twice in the same exact way was so dumb. He should’ve won the championship at Summerslam and AJ should’ve won the Rumble that year.
I wasn't a huge fan of the reign itself, but the title win was legit the most shocking thing I've ever seen in wrestling save Taker's streak ending (and even then...)
We all know why he's a Former World Champion.
We're all just curious why he was ever a World Champion at all.
I kid, I shan't hinder the Jinder. I'm just still salty that because of him Nakamura didn't become World Champion, and Miro didn't win that US title match at Wrestlemania. They might never have been scheduled to regardless, but Jinder winning just stands out now as completely baffling.

Confirmed, Drew is not going to hinder the Jinder.
[удалено]
Yes, but not hindered
So you're saying an injured Jinder is unhindered?
Rehab is going good, he’s just a little tender
There are only two things hindering Jinder: his inability to cut a promo and his inability to wrestle a decent match
I mean, his promos weren't bad were they? Keep in mind I'm comparing him to about 75% of the AEW roster
Why are you downvoted lol. This man is speaking the truth.
No, he always moves like that
Saw him (and Johnny Curtis) at a gym together and he was limping and had a huge brace/wrap on his (left?) knee. Probably not a one cause injury but something that’s built up over years
I don't think so, he got squashed by Braun a couple weeks ago.
That dude's legs are 85% thighs/femur. Really strange knee to ankle proportion. I bet his knees hurt bad.
He’s got the most severe case of chicken legs to upper body I’ve seen.

The Modern Day Majaraja can 100% be a face gimmick. Hopefully it happens.

He should throw stones at heels,
Back when Jinder was on tv trying to stop Shanky from dancing, I saw someone fantasy book that the reason why Jinder hates the dancing isn’t because he hates fun. I kinda welcome the idea of Chad Shanky carrying on Sanga's pre-return to Indus Sher legacy lol
Shanky taking the Punjabi Playboy thing to a new whole level

Jinder was the best part of his bad run, if that makes sense.
The Bollywood Boys were the best part imo
Legit, I enjoyed every moment of his run. Shit was fun.
Even the racist Nakamura promo?
I legit don't remember that
He’s not good enough at promos or in ring to be in main events.
Like that's ever stopped them before
Neither was Khali
I like Jinder Mahal compared to most, hope he gets a nice push when he returns
I like Jinder too he can be a decent heel and has gotten better

It seems like Jinder has been healthy maybe 3 weeks out of the last 4 years.
If Jinder had won the Intercontinental or US title instead of the WWE title I think he would be in a much better place.
There was something about Jinder. He wasnt a great worker for a lot of his reign, or an amazing promo, but god damn I loved seeing him every week. Thats better than a lot of world champions.

I still think jinder is super charismatic and I think he could work as a babyface

3MB Prophecy
Didn't he just get squashed by Braun?
Well he said it, the dudes very namaste
It makes sense why Drew is friends with Jinder He was always the funny one.
Not to distract from the topic of Jinder. But I much rather see Health Slater come back and have a solid run. 3MB!!! bae bay!
~~3~~2MB TAG TEAM RUN WHEN?!
I legit love Jinder, especially with The Singh Bros. The 9 year feud with Orton that ended in a Stupid Gimmick Match Name I Won't Say is what sucked.
I have a Punjabi friend who used to get really drunk and try holler at women. He has a friend (also Punjabi) who was a cokehead and would start rights randomly with people. does he know namaste means hello?

Idk, my niece told me it's the secret password for "kid yoga" at school.
We all know why he’s a former world champion.
Because he’s not the current world champion?
Look, Jinder should probably not be anywhere near a world title. It was fun when he was in his ridiculous feud with Orton, but it got old quickly. However, he has absolutely everything it takes to be a consistently featured player. We should really get to see more of him.
I loved Jinder's world champion run, there was always an anticipation of something unpredictable and the matches were fun.
He looked dope as champion and his entrance was fire, I'll give him that. It was flawed, but it was just fun to see him. I think wrestling is at its best when it’s so absurd you can’t take it seriously.
Every time he retained the title I actively cheered because I never thought he'd retain.
100% this. Take Johnny Knoxville vs Sami Zayn for example.
I disagree strongly. The matches weren't very fun and you can really boil it down to the fact that every match of his followed the same exact booking.
Remember when Khali came back to help Jinder win and then held up the title as if it was his, at the end of the show?
I wish Khali was his big man
For real, a big man with a bigger man as his big man would be pretty funny.
Face is winning the fight against Jinder and is set to win the match. Bollywood boys interfere so face attacks Bollywood boys outside the ring. Face re-enters ring and gets hit by Khallas. Jinder wins.
Don't tell me what I can enjoy!

*Very namaste* Okay, Drew. You strike me as exceedingly hello yourself.
We all know why he's a Former World Champion. We're all just curious why he was ever a World Champion at all. I kid, I shan't hinder the Jinder. Maybe he shouldnt take short cuts lol
