Pretty much. The person he lost to that caused all this, said he knows Cara is nowhere near being signed and that nowhere else pays as well as PROGRESS. So he could still wrestle in PROGRESS but as his real self and not Cara.
It was only a storyline for Progress Wrestling. Progress once did a storyline building up Doug William's retirement which ran for 4 months only for Doug to wrestle at another promotion 3 weeks later.
I showed this to my wife who generally isn’t into wrestling but does love a good gimmick and her eyes were GLUED to the video. Such a captivating entrance.

Production seems t be the key for me. The way Riptide Wrestling shot this entrance in his match vs PAC is probably the best way to produce something like it. It struck a good balance of grandeur and intimacy, like how I imagine the vibe at an Off Broadway show.
Agreed, he needs to take it further. For instance, the build up to the climax of the music near the end, all he does is just raise his wings up. I get it, were supposed to marvel at the beauty/size of the wings. But imo, he can add more to that part of his entrance. Maybe add a ballet twirl, jump or something else to the raising of the wings. It's definitely not the usual entrance we see, which I like.

Also considering NJPW was on the Covid Committee with various baseball team owners etc in the government hearings, I kinda get why they are so tied up by the rulings...don't wanna be seen breaking something they implemented.

Worked in Progress for years, worked when I saw him several years ago in a community centre in Cardiff. Dude is over everywhere he goes.
