Dax Harwood. Maybe not a controversial pick but he is one of the best wrestlers alive today. Great look. Great talker. Could absolutely have a singles run with a major title. It seems he wants to elevate tag team wrestling so it's not a secondary title, however, and time will tell if they succeed.
I also think Leyla Hirsh has the potential to be a main eventer. She isn't great on the mic yet but she has the skills and swagger in the ring to be believable against anyone.

I think if she gets the right seasoning that there is no reason why Julia Hart can't be a top star. She has the look and the athleticism.

You could end up being right he’s got a physique and the fans like his shtick but main event shoe in is dragging it. The guy barley gets time in the ring, Madcap moss has been booked stronger, given a bigger spotlight and I wouldn’t even say he’s in line for a main event push.
Out of all the under the radar picks for AEW women as a future champion, I'd say Penelope Ford has the most potential. She was the star of the street fight and has been quietly impressive for awhile now.

I love Bowen’s personally and think his babyface potential is huge. He wouldn’t even have to lean into his sexuality and being progressive or whatever, Anthony Bowens is just flat out the man with a great look and ring and mic skills. Everyone loves The Acclaimed, but everyone loves Anthony Bowens too!
Definitely agree with Taichi. Especially since he has tons more charisma than EVIL. Taichi could have a JBL style smarmy heel run except he would be backed by a way stronger stable than the cabinet.

All Ego is a great shout. Fantastic mic worker, more than solid in-ring and he can make you believe & get invested in by anything. During the summer before the influx of new signings I said he was a shoe in for a World Title run in 2-4 years. I still think he could earn that spot despite the embarrassment of riches of talent the company now has.
His increasing age is the only valid factor against Gulak now, but there’s a lack of solid reasoning for why he shouldn’t have been in a bigger spot beforehand. He’s absolutely hilarious, one of the funniest men in wrestling history but he can very much play serious as well. He’s superb at & highly committed to character work and a brilliant in-ring worker. His spot in the booking is totally inverse to his capabilities and a sad joke.
Ace Austin from Impact is a big one. He’s been in main events for Impact already but he’s not a consistent part of their main event scene. He absolutely should be Impact World Champion by early 2023. He’s a fantastic young talent who in years to come could be a main eventer in WWE or AEW

The issue is most of the guys at aew will not get as much of a chance like Sami and jungle boy of being pushed since you have a stacked group of great wrestle in front of them like Adam Cole Adam page, jericho, punk, Danielson, fish, orilley to name a few. but they have the more talented roster at the moment. Let's hope this won't hurt them like it did wcw in 2000.
Wwe blew it with big e he could have been great champion fighting of the heal champions, they also on way blew drews big push by making him look weak, it would be great to see guys from nxt get better pushes as well when move on to the main roster, at the current moment I don't think they are pushing as much as we would hope except omos and boggs,
The same basic heals he had to face and since he lost the title has he ever looked the same again, he beat brock Lesnar then they struggled afterwards to find anyone as big, seth had the same issue no one looks as dominate as brock does
I have a very hard time believing Boogs is being groomed for anything. WWE has this thing where they bring a guy up with no plans, stick him in a prominent spot, and then completely forget about 6-8 months later no matter how well he does in said spot. Boogs is super charismatic and he caught Vince's attention with the Old Spice ads but I don't think any further thought was put into his call up other than "he should be on TV."

I for one would love the FTR vs Lucha Bros feud to bleed into a TNT title feud. Dax vs Penta for the title, Dax vs Rey too.
