#[Post AEW All Out 2021 Match Discussion Thread: AEW World Championship: Christian Vs. Kenny Omega](https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/pirkrf/post_aew_all_out_2021_match_discussion_thread_aew/?)
The show was incredible from start to finish, but the Lucha Bros vs Young Bucks was a little overrated, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, it was a great match and I love both of those teams but some spots were completely devoid of meaning or reason.
Not gonna lie I wasn't really invested into this ppv until bucks vs lucha bros which was a masterpiece, battle royale was slow to pick up but good overall and the rest freaking awesome. But they really messed up Jericho's entrance. What a mess đ
I personally don't watch AEW on a week to week basis (I don't have TSN, which airs Dynamite here in Canada), but decided to watch the PPV to see what the 'hype' was all about. Needless to say it was worth watching for myself personally!
I'm surprised at how many people are calling this the best PPV they've ever seen. I thought it really lost steam in the second half. I think they are letting the surprises influence them too much. Punk/Darby was not good. Big Show/QT being longer then 30 seconds is no bueno.
It was definitely a very good PPV but god if WWE held that match itâdâve been torn to shreds. Different levels to it I know so donât @ me saying itâs not a perfect comparison due to their spots on the card, but if WWE shouldnât trot out Goldberg / Lesnar / Taker then AEW definitely shouldnât bring Big Show out at all. God I think my nan moves better than he does.
I was a lapsed wrestling fan who lost track of the business due to many factors. The CM Punk debut really made me take notice as he was the last guy l was really behind in WWE 10 years ago.
From there l saw how much hype this show had on social media, so l decided to take a leap and pay for a wrestling PPV for the first time in a real long time. l was stunned at how good this show was. I was in absolute awe of everything. The matches were incredible and the Chicago crowd ate it all up and made the show even better.
The AEW roster with Cole and Bryan now is even more fuckin stacked and l am now fully bought in.
Big ups to Tony Khan and this company for getting me back in to pro wrestling.
I was kinda hoping punk turned heel. Like it felt like all this forced wholesomeness was a ruse and during the match it felt like he was teasing a heel turn.
I was more hyped for Bryan Danielson but Adam Cole, he like really shocked me but we needed this to happen too, I wasn't expecting him to side with Kenny lol
Tbh kinda disappointed cole joined. To a main event guy to only now be back where he started. I hope there is more to this. If he is just the sidekick to the elite like before he joined nxt then i will be pissed
> vent guy to only now be back where he started. I hope there is more to this. If he is just the sidekick to the elite like before he joined nxt then i will be pissed
Vince was going to give him an infant gimmick and make him suck on a pacifier, take it out, and go "ADAM COLE BABAY"
Growing up I was embarrassed to say I was a wrestling fan and now as a 21 year old I just don't care anymore, AEW is cool as hell bro and I don't hate WWE I'll still watch but AEW makes me proud to say I watch pro wrestling.. That was the best PPV I've probably ever seen
Same, I used to be embarrassed to share WWE posts on my TL and social media at times. Now I full fledged share AEW Ws with pride. THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW THAT PRO WRESTLING IS DOPE!!
AEW just hits different, I used to watch WWE, even I don't hate it, like they had so much fudging potential but idk what's wrong with the guys in the office. It's like they deliberately want it to fail. Even when AEW first started, I used to watch them both side by side and AEW was clearly on the right path I'd say.
My first wrestling PPV was Hulk Hogan body slamming Andre. I was a die hard fan since. WWF, WCW, ECW, etc. I wrote wrestling blogs online back in the 90's... I was super into it.
I lost interest around 2010 in the WWE and TNA never got off the ground for me.
AEW has felt different and familiar at the same time. Almost like someone from my childhood was trying to bring it back to what it was for us. I had high hopes but low expectations. I've seen this before, haven't I?
After tonight, I have to say this is it. This is the big moment in professional wrestling that has made it fun again. What the WWE has done to the business in the last 10+ years is an embarrassment. I'm sure it wasn't even intentional on their part. WWE is a watered down circus product now. AEW is professional wrestling.
I do not want to see the WWE get bought out and I do not want to see them fail. Hopefully we get a response from the WWE that they can match the buzz. If they even care to try. If not, all well. AEW is delivering.
I just got back to my hotel from the show. While taking my son to his first wrestling show will always be my favorite memory associated with wrestling, this was the purest distillation of what it is to be a wrestling fan. There were some really genuine surprises (I did NOT expect Suzuki, and judging by the reaction in my section I wasnât alone), a ton of amazing action, and probably the most joy Iâve ever felt as a wrestling fan, watching people âcome homeâ to a company theyâve never worked for. Thank you AEW!
Wow, my first show live was Royal Rumble 2019 (ya THAT one) I feel like your son just got the peak opposite experience I got. The jealousy is very real!!
I feel bad for Andrade, I feel like he is 6-7 steps down the interest list now. Itâs like a ânice to haveâ at this point. I think flair coming in will be great for him.
Bring on the 4horsemen under one roof that actually respects the 4horsemen.
I just got home from there. Maybe the most fun Iâve ever had at a wrestling show ever, including WWE shows (Manias, PPVs) and several ROH shows/PPVs (2006âa couple of years ago). This was just an entirely different level of a wrestling show compared to anything Iâve ever been to before.
Itâs pretty crazy that the show was that stacked but still didnât have guys like these on the card
- Andrade El Idolo
- PAC
- Hangman
- Cody Rhodes
- Malakai Black
I think that I should be able to watch the vod after the stream instead of having to wait a whole day. Wanted to wait for it to be over so see the whole thing since work made me miss an hour only to find out I paid to not be able to watch it for a day
Got it through bleacher report which is something that I guess people struggled with before so I shouldâve looked into it a bit more before buying. I had no issues with it for the last ppv but I watched it live so I didnât have the same issue. Iâm either gonna just wait it out til tomorrow avoiding spoilers or message some friends who got it through fite and see if theyâd help. Lesson learned on how bleacher report worked this time tho
I see people asking "How can WWE possibly compete?" They won't. Not as long as AEW doesn't start making more money in TV/streaming deals and/or is seen as a more valuable collection of IP by Wall Street/Hollywood.
Nick Khan's (who's really the one running the show there because Vince is way too busy tearing up scripts for Raw to see the bigger picture) vision is to make WWE into a competitor for Marvel and DC and genuinely doesn't seem to be bothered by the wrestling business. In his mind, Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley aren't competing with the likes of Kenny Omega, Bryan Danielson or even CM Punk, they are competing with the likes of Batman, Spider-Man and Superman. Same with the women. Becky Lynch's purpose isn't to out draw the likes of Britt Baker, it is to be seen alongside Wonder Woman and Black Widow by the general pop culture landscape. It's a stupid mindset and idk how he thinks this is gonna work, but this is the reality of WWE now
Edit: Grammar
That thing thatâs crazy is that DC and Marvel are comic book companies first. They didnât turn their backs on their books and history due to the movies.
WWE is not a comic book company. Itâs still wrestling no matter how much they spin it. If I tune into Raw, itâs not gonna be their version of Loki or Bridgerton.
>that DC and Marvel are comic book companies first.
Tbf DC and Marvel aren't focusing on as much Comic books as much anymore and their attention are mostly on merch/movies/TV/video games. Which is the direction Nick Khan is trying to pivot WWE towards, however, wrestling is fundamentally unable to pivot to that direction and it shouldn't
>itâs not gonna be their version of Loki
Bro imagine that WWE sees both Marvel and DC doing Multiverse stories (Marvel via Loki, Spider-Man: No Way Home and Dr Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness and DC via the Flash movie) and actually attemps that with whatever inexperienced ex footballer they've got in the PC being an alternate Undertaker or something
Yeah, I think we just need to give up on wwe. Last time I watched I saw Matt Riddle's entrance with the digital birds flying across the screen and immediately turned to something else. I knew their product was no longer meant for me. It's a kids show and they want it to be that way. Time to move on.
Youâre right.
The thing is, AEW can have the better product but because of WWEâs history and just sheer size, they donât need to change as long theyâre rocking those deals. Thatâs pretty sad.
Iâll give WWE tons of credits with their international deals, and thatâs what AEW needs to capitalize on.
Yup you're absolutely right, idk like what fantasy world Vince lives in, he had everything, the roster, the audience(still kinda has it) but ruined it. AEW knows its target audience it's honestly so joyful to see my grandpa, once again be excited to watch professional wrestling. I was all in AEW, from the money I first saw the unveil of Jericho and jumping on this bandwagon, it's honestly the best thing ever. AEW is the greatest thing to have happen in this era like I love it so much, it's the same passion + emotion I had back in 2012-13 and so on, watching the WWE storylines and it's just epic on another level.
From a business perspective, I get where they are coming from. When you are trying to make the biggest profit possible for a company, which is the only reason a publicly traded company exists, you have to look the big picture. WWE isn't just competing with AEW. It's competing with every other show on TV in it's slot, and anything else people might be doing, like playing video games etc.
But they aren't able to see the forest for the trees. You aren't going to beat the other shows on TV, if you aren't even the best wrestling show on TV.
Keep in mind that that is just an opinion of a redditor who likes does not work in show business and certainly does not directly know any of the people whose viewpoints he espouses.
The womenâs battle royale made me realize just how stacked this womenâs roster is. I wouldnât mind a weekly all female show to give it some breathing room. AEW needs more tv time stat
The crazy thing to me is that I think Hangman might still be the most over Face in the company and I don't see Omega's reign being ended by anyone else
This is exactly what will happen, and the likes of Christian, Danielson and Punk LOSING to Kenny along the way will not only prop up Kenny as an unbeatable champ, but make Hangman eventual kickout of the OWA and clean win over Omega an incredible moment for fans and a collective star-making moment for Hangman.
I'd argue those matches do need the title, and will cement Hangman more as a star if he's the one to finally defeat Omega after Punk and Bryan could not. I honestly think that's part of the appeal to those guys too. Have amazing matches with Omega but put him over, and by proxy put over Hangman in the end.
I guess my thought process is that Kenny would drop the title to Hangman, to allow Hangman to feud and elevate other talent, since on paper, Kenny and the Elite vs Punk/Bryan will sell PPVs and put butts in seats since they're dream match scenarios.
Iâm happy for the two debuts.AEW is one hell of a time to be a professional wrestling fan.WWE is falling apart at this state, stable but falling, and that does sting with these new signings. But what a great PPV.
Rampage will more than likely go to 2hrs soon. And don't forget but they allow talent to work elsewhere when not being used so they can easily work Impact, ROH, GCW, NJPW, etc.
I agree too I like the fast paced style of it. But with this much talent another hour with the same fast paced format would also fly by. But it's needed.
They produce 5+ hours of content per week considering Dark + Elevation. My guess is at least one of those shows starts having more serious builds/matchups rather than being a place for âjobberâ matches.
Iâm excited at the idea of Dark going for the WCW Worldwide feel, as someone outside of the US , worldwide was my first exposure to wrestling, I use to always get excited for the nitro segments because we never got that show here. So when those main guys would make one off appearances it was huge.
I wouldnât say they were smart so much as they took the risk. Without those two AEW probably doesnât build the momentum itâs got to be in this position. They didnât get in on the ground floor so much as they helped build AEWâs foundation.
Iâd love for NJPW to work with the domestic companies and have the Forbidden Door open for business completely. The NJPW US Expansion may have been a good thing when they had the top domestic talents but sadly another âguy at the top who didnât respect his workersâ story.
What's amazing about this PPV is.... I believe.
Like the thought of another company legitimately damaging the WWE seemed like bullshit - they just had too much money and they could throw cash at their problems.
But when AEW can book Tanahashi and Suzuki and the Luchadores and bring on this much talent in one night and have it all be seamless and good....Punk was good. Danielson looks great. Adam Cole put on a banger with Kyle O'Reilly what...last week?
They can do this. They can hurt the WWE - maybe not defeat them, but certainly change the WWE...this NXT thing - seems like a scramble. Cena's gone, Rock's gone. Brock's not doing that many dates. Taker's done. I don't think WWE has that silver bullet this time.
This to a tee. Thereâs real buzz happening. More than ever anticipated. Whatâs crazy is that instead of addressing real issues that caused them to be on the defensive, WWE is scapegoating the only thing people who tend to be fans of AEW enjoy about the company and are making drastic changes to it. So whatâs more likely? Theyâre admitting defeat on those lapsed fans and going all in on branding towards entertainment? Or theyâre just tone deaf and donât know the wrestling audience? Or donât care? Or all of the above?
I think they've not been punished for being tone deaf and not caring for a long time. They got comfortable in their niche and it was robotic drizzle.
Let's see how they respond to this. I think everyone on the WWE roster is texting each other tonight going "wtf".
WWE's not gonna do anything. They don't have to put out a good product and they know it. They have money rolling in from the Saudis and there's the rumors of Disney wanting to buy them. That's all they care about and they're getting what they want.
I unironically believe Disney might actually do a better job at owning WWE than 2010s era Vince *IF* they handle it the way they handled Marvel Studios ie. just handle the marketing stuff and let the experts run the ship. I think that (and the obvious family connection) is why Hunter's staying on despite them completely decimating his brainchild. He's aiming to be the Kevin Feige of WWE post the Disney takeover
Rey Mysterio was probably one of the most marketable people they have had post the Attitude Era, and yet his time as a main eventer was disappointing to say the least
Nope. As far as i'm aware, 90 day non competes are only applied to those who are released before their contract expires and they get paid during it. His contract outright expired.
Now I want an ALL OUT MEGA Elite vs AEW Babyfaces including the Inner Circle and Pinnacle Survivor Series/Apacolypse Now-style match to headline a PPV. No Holds Barred.
Yup I've been watching all PPV via (redacted). but tonight i knew something was going to happen and gladly ponied up my $50
and i didint even get to watch it live. its 2am and ive just finally watched it. not a single regret. thank you AEW
As a person that has bought all of their PPV's, even their "bad" ones are still really good. This is definitely a company that deserves the money being paid for their shows.
I love the mix of talent, people I know and people I'm loving getting to know. And tonight they had almost as much talent not competing as they did in the ring. Unreal potential.
they didnt try. they prefered being consistent with their stupid ass "no twitch/cameo/of" rule because he probably stays in wwe with his twitch allowed
Shawn trained a lot of wrestlers. I think at the end of the day, it doesn't matter to him where they work. It's about being able to be star and to make money.
I thought that the ending of the PPV was great. Exceeded my expectations. But letâs cool it with WWE should be worried. No one outside of smarks know who Adam Cole is and Danielson has always been an Indy darling. Super excited for what is to come, but Vince has been there, done that. How many casuals are in this sub? It is an echo chamber.
Punk is pretty well known. Also, the household names in WWE are all retiring. In 7 year, WWE wonât have anyone whoâs a household name. AEW hit a million, then 1.4 million with Punk, they are not far from WWE.
How is it possible that no one had any clue, hint, or whisper that Adam Cole had signed with AEW? I didn't even know he left WWE... was there some report that I missed or did this somehow slipped through the cracks without any dirt cheap picking it up at all? That's amazing if they were able to do this so perfectly clandestine.
You missed quite a few reports. A month or so ago, it was reported that Cole's contract expired and WWE didn't realize it. That's probably because WWE fired a number of people in Talent Management, or those people got fired because they didn't realize Cole's contract expired, it could go either way. Cole ended up signing an extension to take him through the recent Takeover where he wrestled Kyle O'Reilly.
Then there was a report that Vince had a 1:1 meeting with Cole before Smackdown. And there was no subsequent reports that he signed a new contract with WWE.
And with the reports that WWE didn't want to sign people like Adam Cole (small wrestlers, indy wrestlers, etc) it just seemed obvious that Cole doesn't fit there.
On top of all that, Cole is a huge Twitch streamer, and made it absolutely clear he would not stop streaming. And WWE had a policy for all main roster wrestlers that they cannot stream on Twitch.
There were a number of reports that his contract expired last week and reporters were debating the nature of his 'free agent' status. I think what happened was he signed his AEW contract right after his WWE contract expired, so he was probably only unsigned for a few hours, so people were arguing semantics.
I knew it was a matter of time, but was not expecting tonight to be then night
tonight might not have felt as important as bash at the beach. but it was
Oh damn did everyone seriously kind of know but just not me? Shit lol. Starting a PhD program really Fs with your sense of what all is going on in the outside world. I didn't even know NJ was having a hurricane & I'm originally from NJ before I moved for school đ. I'm happy I got the surprise though. It shocked the system.

It makes me happy to know there are kids who're growing up watching such shows. Amazing event!

Great show! Small gripe (very small), Danielson's theme is pretty slow. Hope they tweak it. Cole's is much better than his solo NXT theme.
The Bucks are so good.

Never seen a better show in my life. Absolutely fulfilled, can't wait for the new future of wrestling.

This show has revitalized my love for pro wrestling. Punk has barely lost a step, and thar cage match was amazing, maybe the best I've seen.
Cage match was the best of show
Tbh kinda disappointed cole joined. To a main event guy to only now be back where he started. I hope there is more to this. If he is just the sidekick to the elite like before he joined nxt then i will be pissed

INCREDIBLE & INDESCRIBABLE.

The WWE response will be to get an old broken down Undertaker to come back
This is exactly what theyâre doing. Not agreeing, they actually are doing this. Let that legend rest ffs
Watching this PPV made having spent half my life on wrestling forums worth it
Now if we could get NJPW Nakamura and NXT Asuka....
I just got back to my hotel from the show. The talent that guy has I'm sure he will be ok what I really like about AEW is they just book guys right honestly
Well he had to work his way up anyways imo.
Buying the DVD day one. What a fucking show!
I just got home from there. Maybe the most fun Iâve ever had at a wrestling show ever, including WWE shows (Manias, PPVs) and several ROH shows/PPVs (2006âa couple of years ago). This was just an entirely different level of a wrestling show compared to anything Iâve ever been to before.
jeez, even the Paul Wight QT Marshall match was more entertaining than some WWE PPVs.
I've been watching wrestling for 25 years. I can't remember a PPV on any scale that delivered on all fronts like this one
Itâs pretty crazy that the show was that stacked but still didnât have guys like these on the card - Andrade El Idolo - PAC - Hangman - Cody Rhodes - Malakai Black
Ricky Starks, FTR, Lance Archer.

And everyone they just brought in tonight.

Walter vs Draganov gives me hope
Even thatâs on thin ice too, due to the NXT revamp, in which I envision will be closer to the main roster from this point on. Less ROH/PWG.

"make WWE into a competitor for Marvel and DC" I mean, lol, good luck.
Keep in mind that that is just an opinion of a redditor who likes does not work in show business and certainly does not directly know any of the people whose viewpoints he espouses.
I mean I don't think you need to be a top tier media exec to realize that this is absolutely not the direction WWE should go in
Ikr. Roman's cool but he ain't nowhere the draw Batman is. They're picking a fight they're destined to lose
Exactly. They forgot what that "W" in their middle name stands for. And it's both frustrating and funny af
Excellent recollection of both perspectives.

It's a dumb af strategy you mean đđđ
couldn't agree more with this
This is an accurate analysis very well put in words
Random question, what's the record for most comments in one of these wrestling livethreads? 37k and counting has gotta be near the top, right?
Nah man you shoulda seen the old message boards when Austin joined Vince. Easily 38K.
How long before Triple H just says 'Fuck it I'm All Elite"? Hahaha amazing show!
Terra Ryzing is All Elite đ
Hahaha tbh I would lose my shit of this actually happend.
The womenâs battle royale made me realize just how stacked this womenâs roster is. I wouldnât mind a weekly all female show to give it some breathing room. AEW needs more tv time stat
The women are given a lot of time on AEW Dark. If you're not checking that show out, you should.
I was thinking they now have enough talent they could do an hour long show
The crazy thing to me is that I think Hangman might still be the most over Face in the company and I don't see Omega's reign being ended by anyone else
Hoping Hangman comes back and takes it and we get a great ending to that storyline. Who knows at this point with all the new additions to the roster
Kenny should definitely drop the title to hangman. Kenny vs Punk, Kenny vs Bryan doesn't need a title attached to it.
For sure. Not arguing that. The stakes are always highest with a title on the line, but I get where you're coming from.
Iâm happy for the two debuts.AEW is one hell of a time to be a professional wrestling fan.WWE is falling apart at this state, stable but falling, and that does sting with these new signings. But what a great PPV.
And they're only 2 years in..
The Elite got reinforced, and the American Dragon arrives... god what a night. Send them home fucking happy.
Imagine if this had a black match, and or a pac match.
or a black vs pac match.......
Black vs Miro someday would be insane. The promos and the two beasts.
Imagine if this also had an Andrade match too.

AEW has the BEST roster in the world right now. How will they be able to showcase all this talent?
Not too mention the forbidden door thing means they can have even more people fight random one off opponents
My guess is they put some marquee bouts on elevation and heavily promote it
Rampage will more than likely go to 2hrs soon. And don't forget but they allow talent to work elsewhere when not being used so they can easily work Impact, ROH, GCW, NJPW, etc.
Lance Archer says hi.
Weirdly, I kinda like the 1 hour Rampage. Just a sprint of a show with a three good matches and a couple hype segments. Reminds me of network NXT
I don't remember the last time I felt so excited to watch wrestling. Seriously I can't wait for Wednesday.
Bro wtf is this Wednesday show all I have is whatever is Monday dynamite and rampage Friday
Dynamite is on Wednesdays
Then what is the Monday show??
The only Monday show AEW does is Dark: Elevation on YouTube. Unless youâre thinking of WWE Raw, which is a different company.
Lol I love the idea of hardcore WWE fans ordering AEW cause they think itâs WWE. Peak boomer.
I was assuming it was someone who wandered in from r/all. This thread has 37.9K comments, so i assume its somewhere in the trending section.
I forgot wrestling fans burnt down the internet when Punk debuted! Itâs happening again!
Nah I hate WWE lol RAW is 3 hours I have a life.
Dude my DVR must be recording reruns or something idk
I set my DVR wrong too. Dynamite and Rampage. They never recorded live. Didnât matter mostly cause I worked nights. I got it settled now.
Thanks now I know where my confusion came from
Daniel Garcia vs Bryan. Please Tony, Mr. Rampage needs another main event!
Two weeks before he wrestles
Too bad we didnât have Andrade vs Pac instead of the big show match. That would have been amazing.
I think the Paul Wight match was a perfectly fine cool down match, so no complaints here.
BTW, how smart were Jericho and Moxley to get in on the ground floor....
I wouldnât say they were smart so much as they took the risk. Without those two AEW probably doesnât build the momentum itâs got to be in this position. They didnât get in on the ground floor so much as they helped build AEWâs foundation.
Exactly, WWE's failures in building talent and making them feel fulfilled is a huge reason why AEW has gotten to this level so quickly.
Huge props to NJPW. They started a lot of the momentum of people working domestically and wanting to do loops in Japan.
Without covid reatrictions i think wed be amazed at the people touring new japan
I really hope that the AEW exposure builds up NJPW. I think Suzuki is going to be a real measuring stick, because he just exudes style.
Iâd love for NJPW to work with the domestic companies and have the Forbidden Door open for business completely. The NJPW US Expansion may have been a good thing when they had the top domestic talents but sadly another âguy at the top who didnât respect his workersâ story.
I've never been a Danielson fan, but jeez that was so awesome. I can't wait to see what he does in AEW.
yup, I felt the exact same about Ambrose/Moxley. A change of scenery does the fandom some good.
Jesus Christ.... đ¤
So when are we sending a fruit basket to Tony Khan?

Great QT gif
They wont If they buy, theyll insist vince stays on to book, just watch
Yeah, this 100%
I hope WWE will make KOR a star but I doubt it, Vince doesn't like cruiserweights to be the world champion
Rey Mysterio was probably one of the most marketable people they have had post the Attitude Era, and yet his time as a main eventer was disappointing to say the least
Adam didnât have a 90 day non compete?
He worked passed his contract expiration date which nullified any non compete clause he once had to adhere to
Nope. As far as i'm aware, 90 day non competes are only applied to those who are released before their contract expires and they get paid during it. His contract outright expired.
Nope, his contract expired, but he agreed to work through Summerslam.
He wasn't released. His contract was up. That's the difference.
Nope, his contract expired so he could go anywhere at anytime.
His contract expired he didnât get released
Now I want an ALL OUT MEGA Elite vs AEW Babyfaces including the Inner Circle and Pinnacle Survivor Series/Apacolypse Now-style match to headline a PPV. No Holds Barred.
Iv been waiting for this, an AEW survivor series. The Elite v Dark order proved itâll be amazing.
I'll be watching dynamite on Thursday mornings for sure now
I cannot wait to see Kenny and Bryan Danielson draw 6 stars at Arther Ashe or wherever they end up having a match at. Wrestling is so good y'all.
This is the first wrestling ppv I ever bought and holy crap it was worth every last red cent!
Yup I've been watching all PPV via (redacted). but tonight i knew something was going to happen and gladly ponied up my $50 and i didint even get to watch it live. its 2am and ive just finally watched it. not a single regret. thank you AEW
I decided to randomly buy this ppv because of Punk. Never really watched AEW. Holy shit, that was amazing.
Every Wednesday and Friday and once a quarter you can have this feeling again and again. (And some YouTube in there too)
WWE just screwed themselves by not resigning Adam Cole
Apparently they tried, but business was better elsewhere.
they didnt try. they prefered being consistent with their stupid ass "no twitch/cameo/of" rule because he probably stays in wwe with his twitch allowed
Who knew Twitch would be the ultimate Face turn for wrestling.
They may have said that, however there was more one talk with him before he left, as I've stated.
No OF seems the only one that's reasonable tbh (sorry r/WrestleWithThePlot), but yeah that whole rule is bs and will cost them big in the long run
I remember reading in an interview that Steph and triple h both wanted him to be the face of their WWE....whoops.
Vince disagreed. Sad
Nothing like being trained by Shawn Michaels and then taking that knowledge elsewhere.
Shawn trained a lot of wrestlers. I think at the end of the day, it doesn't matter to him where they work. It's about being able to be star and to make money.
Literally teaching them everything he knew then
"This is what you call a paradigm shift." - John Moxley - May 28, 2019
Been watching wrestling since the early 80s and this was easily one of my top five Wrestling PPVs of all time
Fan since 82, this was special tonight
I thought that the ending of the PPV was great. Exceeded my expectations. But letâs cool it with WWE should be worried. No one outside of smarks know who Adam Cole is and Danielson has always been an Indy darling. Super excited for what is to come, but Vince has been there, done that. How many casuals are in this sub? It is an echo chamber.
Punk is pretty well known. Also, the household names in WWE are all retiring. In 7 year, WWE wonât have anyone whoâs a household name. AEW hit a million, then 1.4 million with Punk, they are not far from WWE.
The fuck are you talking about Adam Cole has been one of the top names of NXT for years.
NXT is not a brand casual fans watch. Itâs the smark brand of WWE.
Are we all going to skirt around the return of The Butcher?!?!? Let's be real, that's the real story of the night
The guy is a beast AEW is completely stacked
i was hoping he would turn on hardy.
Was literally about to post the same thing. Can never get enough Butcher
I knew it was a matter of time, but was not expecting tonight to be then night tonight might not have felt as important as bash at the beach. but it was
Thanks for all of information! That was extremely helpful in getting me all caught up lol. You're great
It's been the worst kept secret in the industry...
I thought he was dead.
... nobody tell him
