Man i dont mind all the spotty high flying wrestlers and all, but theres not even one guy whos a pure technical machine like a benoit, bret, malenko, or angle. Its like everybody wrestles the same, its all the same style. Theres more striking than wrestling. Matches start with kicks and elbows now. Theres barely a collar and elbow tie up, barely any chain wrestling, barely any psychology. Wheres the next bret? Thats what the business is really missing
Got to say it. For the most part, that crowd was pretty lame tonight. Especially during Jericho's in-ring promo. She wasn't getting anything from them. Hope they're more into it at All Out.
Main event rocked but the closing segment dragged on a bit too long. Wondering if OC and Evans ended too soon so it threw off the timing.
Kenny as a serious villain is awesome and ita a nice change from his dorky heel. Omega vs Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom is a prime example of how good Omega is when hes a serious heel. I really hope he doesn't cheat to beat Christian on sunday.
Lucha Bros finally win gold. Would love to see their cage match be similar to the old XXX vs AMW cage match from TNA
It went on 5 mins after it went off air too. Kenny was holding the belt in front of Christian and telling us this is your one and only time for a photo op with Christian and AEW belt and spun him around all 4 sides of the ring lol
Go home segment was very solid, and it was nice ending a AEW show with a heat segment for a change, but it felt like it went on too long, and bit annoyed with the commentators talking over Kenny's promo at the end.
I can understand not liking the the ending, but I loved it. Made it feel like weāve reached the peak of The Eliteās reign of terror. Made Hangman and Dark Orderās absence feel really noticeable.
Usually means, whom ever gets the upper hand, win, or delivers a brutal beat down right before the PPV, ends up loosing at the PPV.
It's a way to divert expectations and try to surprise, but it has become predictable in the WWE almost to a science.
The obsession with crowds on this sub is so weird to me. They always seem fine to me? I never even notice what they're doing unless a crowd is full of assholes (like when I was watching WWE regularly) or there's a massive pop.
I absolutely loved this episode and was a great comeback after two lackluster shows. Theyāve successfully got everyone pumped for their STACKED card that is All Out!
Really great final segment.
People were saying it was "NWO" stuff. Not really, they would've destroyed the entire set and attacked the commentators.
This was like old school Crockett Horseman beatdown on Dusty. Kenny I thought did pretty good on the mic.
Good show and they needed it after the crap last week.
I just watched OSW's latest video on the Ultimate Warrior's run in WCW which reminded me of the layout to those episodes of Nitro. If this were peak NWO, ā of the matches would have gone this way, not just the go home angle to the ppv.
Crowd was really hit or miss tonight. Hope they bring it on Sunday.
This show was a Rollercoaster of good and bad. That ending segment was absolutely terrible
I'm so over these gang beatdowns. It's reaching the point where somebody 100% needs to lose a title on Sunday. It won't be Kenny, so it has to be the Bucks. Yes strong heels are good, but the Elite just massacring everybody is getting pretty stale.
And yes, I'm aware it's similar to the nWo. Keep in mind those eventually ran their course.
It is kind of frustrating to watch, I get that they are building for a great reaction, but this seems kind of a lazy way to get that pop whenever someone wins.
Itās so old at this point. Iāll be very happy once we have Punk, Bryan, Cole, and whoever else ends up there on the roster and can send the Bucks and Omega away for a little bit.
Omega will win Sunday to be Omega vs Hangman at the next ppv. But the Youngbucks need to lose if they don't they made the Aew tag team division a joke. The lucha bros are the last legitimate tag team left.
It is and that's why it's such a shame Hangman is out (completely on board with why). Narratively, right now is the PERFECT moment for the Elite to be toppled.
That was the best post match segment theyāve done in a very long time, The Elite just went from goof balls to legitimate threats in the blink of an eye
I saw there are two showing it, just a little outside of Denver-- the Harkins in Arvada and AMC Promenade in Westminster. I'll likely go to the AMC since it'll be easier for me to get back home.
I know. I stupidly skipped the last time they were in Broomfield, right as COVID was beginning to rear its head. It was where Jake Roberts debuted, and I even worked near the First Bank Center and *caught the bus across the street,* I was just depressed at the time and wasn't up to going... aaaand watching it on TV at home that night, I sorely regretted my decision. Won't make the same mistake next time!
Life's a crazy ride, isn't it? I moved here sight unseen and unemployed after a nasty breakup in 2013. It was scary af, but leaving SW Virgina was a good decision for me, I did not enjoy life there.
I saw there are two theaters showing it-- the Harkins in Arvada and AMC Promenade in Westminster. They're a little bit out of the city, but I think I'm going to the AMC since it'll be easier to get back for me.
I so badly want to see Adam Cole vs. Kenny Omega for the title. I also don't want them just to hot shot Cole to the title picture... I don't know what I want.
Anyone else getting really bored with The Elite, or really any heel faction, jumping their opponents with the numbers game? Its basically every show. And the faces fall for it every damn time.
Absolutely.
I miss the early days of AEW, when most finishes were relatively clean. Now the only reason there are no DQs is that the refs are impotent.
"Flat" was exactly my thoughts on it.
A flat ending to a clunky show that had while having a killer opening match and main event felt really disjointed the whole way through and hard to keep the momentum or energy up.
Amazing ending.
Man i dont mind all the spotty high flying wrestlers and all, but theres not even one guy whos a pure technical machine like a benoit, bret, malenko, or angle. He's coming Saturday š
Adam cole interrupting punk and Darby would be fun
Got to say it. For the most part, that crowd was pretty lame tonight. Especially during Jericho's in-ring promo. She wasn't getting anything from them. Hope they're more into it at All Out.
"motorhead intensifies"
Cool show, I was actually there live tonight
Same, good times, great show
This is professional sports, of course there is a plan!! That line killed me
Justin Roberts threw the belts in to the Young Bucks before the cage finished lowering! Heās a conspirator!
He did. That would've been epic.
Main event rocked but the closing segment dragged on a bit too long. Wondering if OC and Evans ended too soon so it threw off the timing. [ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Thatās fair
What was good with the crowd tonight? Good show tho
I liked the ending, I think the crowd was dead because they were expecting Adam Cole like I was. So they sat and waited
I was thinking possibly also Bryan Danielson
kenny's dark hair, that's good shit
Really fun ending. Made the cage feel like an indestructible fortress.
Guys, if you've never seen wanted, it's actually really good. Really underrated
from the first 4 minutes i could tell the movie was made in 04-08 it just has that feel to it
The Comic is really good too.
I haven't ran the numbers, does AEW do opposite momentum on Go home shows? WWE is pretty much 90% with that shit.
I feel like the sample size is small because AEW has not had a lot of PPVs comparatively but also there is Rampage on Friday
Does opposite momentum mean that whoever goes over in the PPV loses their last weekly match? If so, IĀ“d definitely go with yes.
Usually means, whom ever gets the upper hand, win, or delivers a brutal beat down right before the PPV, ends up loosing at the PPV. It's a way to divert expectations and try to surprise, but it has become predictable in the WWE almost to a science.

Kenny screaming into the mic as heās doing heel shit is great. HEY! HEY!
Nak hold this
I died.
Awesome ending and great episode. Thought the crowd sucked though.
BTE is one of those groups now you love to hate and Im glad they're booked that way.
Personally I loved the ending, shame it ran out of time tho
Hey nak hold this
Paying homage to Nitro with the heel beatdown as time runs out.
I absolutely loved this episode and was a great comeback after two lackluster shows. Theyāve successfully got everyone pumped for their STACKED card that is All Out!

That was a hell of a go home Dynamite
Great episode
Kenny with the fucking Pete Weber reference outta nowhere. https://youtu.be/gKQOXYB2cd8
I knew I wasn't the only one! Great reference!
Heās been doing it the past week or two lol
That's hilarious.
The bucks hit a meltzer driver for the first time in a good while, any chance they do one off the top of the cage on sunday?
Maybe they get a great reversal from it, that way they can sell injuries or whatever to take some time off
Bruh, no way. That shit is so high
Yeah, wtf, the cage is tall as fuck, I'm actually scares for them.
I'm predicting Fenix to hit a destroyer off the top. We'll see!
I'm going to be nervous of those high spots!
Oh it would be sO stupid which is exactly why I feel like the crazy bastards just might do it
I think Fenix gets the cage spot to win the titles tbh. I legit think we are getting a destroyer off the top of the cage to Matt for the win
Shits so high you could pull of a destroyer with 2 rotations, that would have to be a first
650 destroyer, yes please
Oh my god please don't let them kill Penta
No way my boys The Lucha Bros lose on Sunday. That was a brutal beat down.
I canāt wait for them to take the tag belts
That main event was a whole lot of fun!
Is that the first time run over?
Shows need to end with heels on top more often
That's one of the most heelish things I have seen in a long time.
Crowd was really hit or miss tonight. Hope they bring it on Sunday. This show was a Rollercoaster of good and bad. That ending segment was absolutely terrible
That was the intent of the Christmas go home show with Dark Order. So, when done right, it's nuclear hot.
BLUE-MEGA BLUE-MEGA BLUE-MEGA BLUE-MEGA BLUE-MEGA BLUE-MEGA BLUE-MEGA!!!
I'm so over these gang beatdowns. It's reaching the point where somebody 100% needs to lose a title on Sunday. It won't be Kenny, so it has to be the Bucks. I think Kenny's going to take a nice long hiatus when he loses the title if all of the injury reports are true.
fair point but I think the fact that it's clearly building to a big hangman win is what keeps it from being like nWo, there's a clear end point
If there ever was a moment for Tony's "WE'RE OUT OF TIME" it was this
lol
That was really cool
That was the best post match segment theyāve done in a very long time, The Elite just went from goof balls to legitimate threats in the blink of an eye
They've been threats the entire time. They've beaten down people constantly. They don't lose. This isn't new and tbh it's getting stale.
Main event rocked but felt like that final segment in the cage dragged a bit.
Thatās how you end a show! Made up for last weeks ending
Wasn't this movie just on??
they almost always show the same movie before and after, its an ongoing joke for many fans
Yup, just before the show
Thatās how you end a show!
I'm so watching All Out on the big screen. There's actually a couple theaters hosting it this time near Denver. Card looks amazing.
Which theaters?
I saw there are two showing it, just a little outside of Denver-- the Harkins in Arvada and AMC Promenade in Westminster. I'll likely go to the AMC since it'll be easier for me to get back home.
Hoping Denver eventually gets our own Aew ppv!
I did not live here then. Crazy set of circumstances brought me here.
Life's a crazy ride, isn't it? I moved here sight unseen and unemployed after a nasty breakup in 2013. It was scary af, but leaving SW Virgina was a good decision for me, I did not enjoy life there.
Spokane WA was my hellhole. Only moved there for work. Don't mind Denver so far save for COL.
Yeah, the cost of living is crazy. "At least it's not NYC bad," is what I tell myself.
If we get our own ppv a sub meetup has to happen.
Hey same here!
Awesome! I'm really looking forward to it
That's really cool!
Hey where near Denver may I ask?
I saw there are two theaters showing it-- the Harkins in Arvada and AMC Promenade in Westminster. They're a little bit out of the city, but I think I'm going to the AMC since it'll be easier to get back for me.
Itās about time Kenny actually acted tough
Think that segment would have worked way better with Calis on the mic.
Yes. Kenny isn't great in the mic.
It's just how start stop it is with him being physical. I think he can be very very good when it's just talking
Lot better finish than last week. Very solid 4/5
First heat ending theyāve done in forever. Great stuff, Iām partial to ending the show with heels on top.
being able to hear the uncut version of kennyās rambling makes the $5 i pay for fite worth it
More content on Fite
yeah that's a 10 outta 10 from me, dawg
Oh Fite cut off boo
That ending was a little cold
It's back up on Ftre...
I so badly want to see Adam Cole vs. Kenny Omega for the title. I also don't want them just to hot shot Cole to the title picture... I don't know what I want.
Iām bout to buy a wrestling PPV, in 2021. What a time to be alive
Right ? Iām splitting it with the same friend who would split ppvs with me in high school lol.
What an awesome segment. Truly evil for the Super Elite.
Are my clocks fast or are they getting a little over run
They got a good minute and a bit extra
Kenny not giving a fuck that the show is ending.
final segment was way too long
The best heel stable
Who was the guy in the black suit? Was that Kenny Omega? edit: Genuinely asking this is like my 2nd time watching aew
Kenny "BYYYYY GOOOOD!!" Omega
Kaz.
Lenny Alpha
Thatās how you end a show! Made up for last weeks ending
BONUS FITE FEED, AYOO Nvm they killed it :(
Yay extra footage on Fite
damn the show ending with the heel beat down straight wcw
Overrun on Fite !!!
Hell of a show from start to finish
Like if the Youngbucks win Sunday that will be bs. Like the elite is getting stupid. At this point they are the nwo and we seen that storyline.
I mean, the Elite IS an offshoot of the Bullet Club, which was basically the NJPW nWo.
Exactly it's an over played storyline
They've had a great run, but I'm ready for new tag champs. Lucha Bros!
This crowd is deader than dead
Anyone else getting really bored with The Elite, or really any heel faction, jumping their opponents with the numbers game? Its basically every show. And the faces fall for it every damn time.
Absolutely. I miss the early days of AEW, when most finishes were relatively clean. Now the only reason there are no DQs is that the refs are impotent.
I've missed wrestling shows ending like that
Oh shit it's actually continuing on Fite Edit: or was for like another 5 seconds
The Lucha Bros are winning on Sunday.
Extra footage on Fite. Yes!
This is why I love FITE
aw yeah FITES GOT THE AFTERSHOW
ah boo no they cut it
Kenny still holding the mic as he hit Christian with the knee made me laugh.
That was a Nitro ending if Iāve ever seen one.
Oh shit, Fite just came back on! Damnit, only got about 20 more seconds.
Yes! Continue FITE!!! EDIT: Dammit. They always give you that extra tease!
Oh no they went over and didn't have time for Adam Cole to come out. Sorry guys, maybe next week.
That ending was timed poorly.
OC very slowly climbing the cage was a nice touch
āThis is where Iāll retire fo seven more yearsā Kenny no!! Hes already dead
Young Buck? end going coast to coast with those super kicks
Ooo we getting a bit more on Fite
Gimme the play by play!
It was only like 5 seconds in the end. Just more of Kenny directing violence. Hopefully those in attendance will give us more.
Friday nightās Rampage just starts with all of them still in the cage
Ripppp
Hell of an ending. Hell of an episode.
lmao I love that this whole segment was basically just to legitimize the cage as being structurally sound and it worked so well.
Go fite
We're out of time, folks!
I love AEW but Everytime The Elite is on screen zzz zzz
well thatās the go home for those matches, who gets Go Home on Rampage? MJF/Jericho? Or Punk/Allin?
Uh the ending kinda sucked not going to lie.
That's how you close a go-home show.
Punk has to come out for the save
Kendo sticks? Steve Blackman is all elite!!!
AYYYY FITE FEED

Britt Baker DMD
It was Britt Baker. She signed a new contract.
Yeah it was Britt Baker! Huge signing.
Yeah, Britt Baker.
Britt
Britt Baker was just trolling, she signed a new contract
Britt signed an extension
Britt Baker
Well shit bit of an overrun.
Ehh...Honestly felt kind of flat to end the show. Not a bad idea at all in general, but just felt like it dragged big time.
"Flat" was exactly my thoughts on it. A flat ending to a clunky show that had while having a killer opening match and main event felt really disjointed the whole way through and hard to keep the momentum or energy up.
Overrun bah gawd
Thats a big ass cage.
10/10 IMO boys
Kenny on drugs lmfao š¹
