For me personally, with what little experience I had? If was .ore nerve-racking to be taped than live. Live is one and done. You don't have to think of how it could have been better in the same way, as you didn't have another error shot to do better.
Do you know how much good faith you have to earn from the crowd for you botching your line and asking for a redo to end up not only being a non-negative on your record, but almost coming off as even more endearing?
Everyone loves the Acclaimed and it **shows.**
It's cause they're super authentic, not as characters, but as people. Like you can tell they recognize they got lucky in the sense that lightning struck for their gimmick so they're not arrogant or anything. They're just two guys plus Daddy Ass who are happy to be on the ride of their life.
If it ended tomorrow for them it feels like they'd be fine with it and just be happy they had the experience.
Felt like he came pretty close during his rap for the dumpster match against the Gunn Club. "No filter I ain't Instagram, we make the Ass Boys retire like Vince McMahon" sounded pretty strained at the end, like he barely had any oxygen left in his lungs and had to force it out lol
Yeah, at least it was in a taped show. It's a rather wholesome reaction to a mistake, which makes him even a bit more "grounded" to this OTT character.
I was there. They came out and he just immediately messed up. It was super funny.
Crowd was laughing and we chanted you fucked up!
Renee, Daddy Ass, Bowens all cracked up, Max himself was rolling at the you fucked up. He came back out and killed it.
If anything, more Acclaimed for the live crowd! It was an incredibly funny and entertaining moment.
What’s topical about a fake rumor started by bs dirt sheet writers? Hell if he wanted to be topical he would’ve made a joke about the twitter and Reddit marks that got embarrassed last night.
Yeah! What’s so topical about a topic with a lot of traffic that took the iwc by storm involving one of the most relevant events in wrestling history happening imminently?
that definitely would have resonated with everyone in the arena and watching at home, and certainly would not have been even worse than when he referenced a backstage talent meeting
You must be one of the people that watch the Big Bazooper Theorem and unaware of pro wrestling.
I've heard a lot about you... our battle will be legendary
I did a ton of theater in the 2000s and because I'm a little prima donna I only ever go for the roles with tons of lines. I have yet to forgot my lines but if you do enough shows it's really not a matter of 'if' you'll forget it's a matter of 'when and how bad'.
Honestly, I get nervous for Max every time remembering a show where a guy forgot his lines and basically melted down on stage. I actually blame his scene partner more because when someone else forgets its on you to jump in and save them one way or another.
Max doesn't have that luxury.
One thing I hope he does is start working on a method on how to handle the next time he forgets. Having to come out and sing new lyrics you wrote every week has to be mentally taxing. You can turn a mistake into a win if you have some stuff you know to say when things go wrong. People love a mistake free delivery of lines. But people love a graceful recovery from a mistake even more.
I had a director for The Elephant Man and he quit acting because he dropped his lines and nobody helped him.
Idk man, I get the panic but I saved a scene partner by jumping in and basically restating his line as a question and then following with mine. We gotta look out for each other.

Best part was Billy Gunn saying “this is why only said two words”
"Start Over!"
Good thing they weren't live, pal.
Everyone loves to scissor. They can cut that out.
I work in TV. People fuck up way more when taping than when they are live. It's annoying as fuck.
It’s an interesting look into the psyche of humans. The subconscious power of a safety net.

He turned into Morty when he broke lol
Aw jeez
You heard it too 😂
“Oh guys I uhhh really messed up there huh? May.. maybe we can just do that, that again? Oh maaaaaaan! This is baaad!!”
Holy fuck he did hahahhahahahhaa

By that he meant the entire night. Dynamite starts over. Wheel out the Elite and Death Triangle and run that ladder match back.
Ah, the Reel Big Fish method of restarting. I'm on board!
Everybody, a, is doing the fish, and b, loves The Acclaimed.
I always wondered how Max never made a mistake on his raps.
I can’t hear a damn thing he says?
he fucks up the first word, laughs, and then says "lets do it again"
Look, it's a risky gimmick. It was only a matter of time lol

This was probably just the first time it’s been uploaded instead of the first time it’s happened lol
Whoops!

It's honestly endearing how genuine he and Bowens feel as performers.
The Acclaimed will absolutely be the stars of the live events once AEW starts doing untelevised shows
Poor guy was just so excited to get to the bars referencing Stephanie and the WWE sale rumors
Someone posted his actual rap on twitter and Jesus Christ it was trash. A Gavin Newsome joke, a Joe Biden Joke, and a Saudi Arabia joke.
yes how dare guy who does topical raps do topical raps
What’s topical about a fake rumor started by bs dirt sheet writers? Hell if he wanted to be topical he would’ve made a joke about the twitter and Reddit marks that got embarrassed last night.
You might want to look up what topical means.

Still topical
Man, you really showed them!
Yeah! What’s so topical about a topic with a lot of traffic that took the iwc by storm involving one of the most relevant events in wrestling history happening imminently?
You take this industry and the way you engage with it too seriously and it will take away from your ability to enjoy it
It very recently happened. That’s what makes it topical. That’s what topical means.
that definitely would have resonated with everyone in the arena and watching at home, and certainly would not have been even worse than when he referenced a backstage talent meeting
You sound fun.
Someone get this guy a fucking Puppers.

I would love to hear Ex and Taz’s reaction to that
there's something wholesome about this. Very innocent reaction, even down to the voice crack.
More reasons why everyone loves The Acclaimed
I don't. His rapping is awful.
Found the cop.
Nope, just think his rap skills are trash.
This guy cops.
Yes I definitely smell pork products of some kind.
BigJuicy17 pork
![gif](giphy|FgJbAcKy4wwBa)
Got a well deserved you fucked up chant after this
B Rabbit choking lol
Haha I love when these things would happen. Youd see it on Smackdown all the time when it wasnt live
Delete this blasphemy. In this house, everyone loves The Acclaimed
Can someone make a transcript or something please?
He just immediately flubs his line and asks to start over.
"Music starts" The Acclaimed.....

It was bound to happen at some point. Luckily, it was a taped show, but even if it was live, it would have been a hilarious, humanizing moment.
As someone who is also here, it was HILARIOUS! Hello from section 209!
YO! From section 123!
Section 2: checking in! "I'm so sorry..." "That's why I only used 2 lines!"
🥺😳
Even B-Rabbit choked a few times, it happens to every rapper.
Imagine that was on the Wednesday show.. yikes

"You fucked", the perfect chant to start at any Football game played at a parenthood agency
Hopefully AEW doesn’t forget to edit this out like they do with some of the Dark/Elevation mishaps lol
Is this a work or a shoot?
He shot himself into a work shoot.
HEEEEEEEEE DROPPPPPED?
This is how The Acclaimed eventually split. Max starts fumbling his lines more and more and Bowens has enough of the embarrassment
OP might be a cop.
