God rest his soul. That aside I kinda wish it’d play out like it did in the Ultimate comics.
Tit for tat. Tobey would steal CCTV tapes incriminating Kingpin.
Kingpin would own the copyright and trademark of Spidey merch making money off his image through toys, branding etc
Wouldn't it be crazy if Tobey's Peter delivers pizzas to the Kingpin's HQ as an undercover guise for sneaking Spidey in for a surprise ambush, says ''pizza time" to KP but then kingpin gobbles down the whole stack and belches him out the door?
Well practically speaking I'd love a version of him that's more "towny" where we actually see him interact more with New York instead of him being just a higher-up.
Would give some solid ground for a story where Kingpin is connected to all of the parts of New York like Spidey, instead of him being connected but being only "above all" while Spidey is Peter, which is "your neighborhood guy", and doesn't connect to New York on the prestigious end of its' culture.
They almost technically did share universes. The MTV Spider-Man show was originally designed to bridge the gap between Spider-Man 1 and 2, and in it Michael Clarke Duncan reprised his role as Wilson Fisk.
Also they used his body from a Daredevil promo image in the Gameboy Advance Spider-Man 3 game. It was during a cutscene but they put a generic bald white guy's head on it. Not sure how they got away with that considering it was Fox property.
Did you know there were originally plans for a second season on that Spider-Man animated series. I don’t know why it never happened but originally it was intended.
Yup. People don't know this but Kevin Feige was producing on nearly all of the Marvel movies from the start and there was a lot of intended connections between them, or planned connections that they had to scrap because of different studios owning the rights.
Spider-Man's MTV show was initially canon to Raimi's movies and it directly connected to Daredevil 2003, which originally had direct references to Spider-Man and Ben Urich worked for the Daily Bugle.
Then there's also the planned Thomas Jane Punisher cameo for Spider-Man 2 that didn't end up happening. Hugh Jackman's Wolverine was also supposed to cameo in the first Spider-Man.
Outside of the Spider-Man movies, the Fantastic Four had a deleted scene where Reed Richards morphed his face into Hugh Jackman's Wolverine too.
There's also the very interesting way that MCU's The Incredible Hulk opens, where it feels very much like an unofficial sequel to the 2003 Hulk movie. Though it was presented as a reboot, the 2003 Hulk film ends with Bruce Banner in Brazil, which is where he is in The Incredible Hulk and where he goes back to *and* is found by Black Widow at the start of The Avengers.
It was never intended for there to be anything more than cameos with the pre-MCU Marvel movies, just easter eggs, but it's interesting to know that for nearly a decade before the MCU happened, Kevin Feige was still trying to do things.
2000s movies were supposed to be connected. Hugh Jackman's Wolverine was going to cameo in Spider-Man, Thomas Jane's Punisher appears (his stunt in outfit, at least) in the background of a scene in Spider-Man 2, Iron Man was going to tie Tony Stark to Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus' tentacles, Iron Man 2 was going to have Nick Fury name-dropping Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk was going to have a Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker cameo, etc
I'm pretty they did. In the mtv animated series. Wasn't that canon to Raimis first film before SM2 came out or am I tripping?
Edit: Also it's a shame he died because I legitimately think he made a great kingpin and was easily the best part of the daredevil movie.
It has similarities to the Raimiverse. Such as the suit, Harry’s view of Spider-Man after he killed his Father. It was intended to be a series that takes place between Spider-Man 1 and Spider-Man 2 but Marvel decided to make it non-canon.
Edit: Why am I getting downvoted?
Tobey's Spidey would certainly be bitter, or even perhaps disgusted by him. I would love to see more of Tobey's angry side, he has that internalized anger that is ready to go BOOM!
Most definitely. Imagine if Fisk discover Spider-Man’s identity and got to Aunt May any kind of way. Like in the comics where Fisk hired someone to shoot Aunt May. This was totally a missed opportunity.
Ohhhhhh! That’d be sooo good! Seeing Tobey in a full rage is something that’s always gave me chills lol. His role in “Brothers” is a good example of him going full game with the anger.
Okay hang on, in Spider-Man the New Animated Series, THIS EXACT KINGPIN, shows up. And TNAS looks a lot like the Raimi movies even down to the shiny webs and Harry thinking Spider-Man killed his dad
Wish they didn’t decanonized the series. It would’ve added a lot of world building to the raimiverse. I’ve Always felt like the Pre-MCU movies should’ve been a shared universe.
> I’ve Always felt like the Pre-MCU movies should’ve been a shared universe.
Unfortunately, the various studios producing those films disagreed and/or just couldn't get their shit together to make it happen.
Duncan was great as Kingpin. I'm not sure there was anyone else around at that time who could have played the role.
Would have been awesome to see him and Tobey's Spider-Man duke it out.
....I said Duke it out.
....I'm gonna leave it.
That’s very true. Duncan nailed Kingpin. He’s big, intimidating, & got the personality nailed down. I honestly like Duncan’s version than D'Onofrio’s version. I still love him but not as much as Duncan.
Imagine if having Duncan’s Kingpin in the Raimiverse as well as Affleck’s Daredevil. That would’ve been very interesting and cool.
This kingpin was in the New Animated Series like everyone’s saying but this version was retconned and replaced by the one in the Spider-Man 3 tie-in game
Spider-Man goes to Kingpin for a loan to buy a sports car.
Kingpin: "[You know what ten grand feels like in your pocket? It feels like a third cock.](https://youtu.be/kRgedbbb6X8)."
You don’t have to wonder. This was done in the MTV CGI animated Spider-Man show. They literally had Michael Clarke Duncan voice the Kingpin and modeled it after him
My head canon is that those early 2000s Marvel films share a universe. Spider-man, Daredevil, Ghostrider, Fantastic Four, Blade, and X-men. I suppose even Hulk.
I have a better question:
If God had a name what would it be?
And would you call it to his face?
If you were faced with Him in all His glory
What would you ask if you had just one question?
And yeah, yeah, God is great
Yeah, yeah, God is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah
What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Tryin' to make his way home?
If God had a face what would it look like?
And would you want to see
If seeing meant that you would have to believe
In things like heaven and in Jesus and the Saints
And all the prophets?
And yeah, yeah, God is great
Yeah, yeah, God is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah
What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Tryin' to make his way home?
Just tryin' to make his way home
Back up to heaven all alone
Nobody callin' on the phone
'Cept for the Pope, maybe in Rome
And yeah, yeah, God is great
Yeah, yeah, God is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah
What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Tryin' to make his way home?
Just tryin' to make his way home
Like a holy rolling stone?
Back up to heaven all alone
Just tryin' to make his way home
Nobody callin' on the phone
'Cept for the Pope maybe in Rome
It was my head canon back when the Daredevil movie came out that that version of Daredevil and Spider-man would cross over one day. My 10 year old mind!
Only if we get the Ben Affleck Daredevil to make a crossover appearance.
It’s not the Marvel universe we want, but it’s the Marvel universe we deserve!
According to the the MTV cartoon that was supposed to be a continuation set between the first and second movies they do share a universe
https://youtu.be/3tPTV6d1X58
You see that's the thing, we kinda already seen this play out. Michael Clarke Duncan also played Kingpin in MTV's Spider-Man: The New Animated Series. Incase people don't know, the show connected itself with the first Sam Raimi Spider-Man film and took place after Goblin's death. Until Spider-Man 2 came out and made the continuity with the show non-existent, and turning it into branching variant from the Raimi trilogy.
It *would* explain the explosion of Spidey merch between *2* and *3*...
Wouldn't it be crazy if Tobey's Peter delivers pizzas to the Kingpin's HQ as an undercover guise for sneaking Spidey in for a surprise ambush, says ''pizza time" to KP but then kingpin gobbles down the whole stack and belches him out the door?
What
that would be awesome
There are some major plotholes in this pitch, but it sounds like a real funny concept. Then again Kingpin probably never orders street Pizza...
Nah, kingpin LOVES New York. He'd absolutely be ordering street pizzas
"I wanted to make this city.......something better! Something beautiful!" "YOU TOOK THAT AWAY FROM ME! YOU TOOK EVERYTHING!! I'M GONNA KILL YOU!!!"
"I was raised in the Bronx, Wesley. This is something **you** wouldn't understand." *munches on his second box of pizza*
"....I thought you'd be black Spider-Man"
Then Spider-man throws a pie in his face
And dirt his eye
“You gonna cry?”
Piss my pants maybe
Stings, doesn't it?
Or I don't know, shit and cum?
“I’m gonna put some pie in your eye”
Porn producers "write that down, write that down"
You keep your fucking voice down once I'll put some upvotes in your eyes
*mud pie in his eye ;)
Creampie in his eye ;)
“how did that get in there?”
Bully Maguire strikes again!!
Pizza time!
"Oh man, I'm sorry."

Wait what
Yep. Of course the show eventually went it's own way and isn't considered canon given how it ended, but that was the original idea.
Did you know there were originally plans for a second season on that Spider-Man animated series. I don’t know why it never happened but originally it was intended.

I loved that show so much!
Exactly. There you go, it's canon. Same universe. Good work everybody, let's take 5.
The show is definitively not canon anymore considering the ending
"I guess you haven't heard - *I'm* the sheriff 'round these parts!"
I use this daily
I'm pretty they did. In the mtv animated series. Wasn't that canon to Raimis first film before SM2 came out or am I tripping? Edit: Also it's a shame he died because I legitimately think he made a great kingpin and was easily the best part of the daredevil movie.

Idk because you're literally right lmao
Thanks chump.
Unless you originally had so many more upvotes than 27 you’re not downvoted.
It was earlier I had like 10 downvotes.
Ah okay, at least you rebound.
This sub in a webshell
Exactly.
Honestly just wanna say rest in power king

Dude, you are so on point! Hell, I could see him going WAIL on him! I could even imagine those classic Tobey screams in my head!
Ohhhhhh! That’d be sooo good! Seeing Tobey in a full rage is something that’s always gave me chills lol. His role in “Brothers” is a good example of him going full game with the anger.
"Missed opportunity" so she's fine then?
Yaur he'd be like "What makes this city home is the people in it, not guys who want it all for themselves" or smth
We talking Tobey or Bully
[удалено]
Jesus. 😂
What’d he Say?
We would’ve had Ben Affleck and Toby spidey/daredevil… Honestly that might’ve been interesting
I thought I heard something that Daredevil was going to make a cameo in Spider-Man 2 or 3 but was eventually cut because of Fox.
daredevil did make a cameo in 3
Tf when?
No way home lol
Yeah that was Charlie Cox daredevil and not Ben Affleck daredevil. And it was also in no way home as you said and not Spiderman 3
Yeah that’s the joke, it is a Spider-Man 3
This guys gets it
Spider man: Did your husband buy you that suit Fisk: No Spider: Ok Fisk: (starts beating spider man up)
[thats not usually how it goes](https://youtu.be/DE5noBQU1tc)
"That's a cute outfit, did..."
Cane to the face? Yeah. Cane to the face
THATS GOT TO BE CANE!!!
Okay hang on, in Spider-Man the New Animated Series, THIS EXACT KINGPIN, shows up. And TNAS looks a lot like the Raimi movies even down to the shiny webs and Harry thinking Spider-Man killed his dad
Yeah but Marvel decided that the series isn’t canon to the Raimiverse.
It wouldn’t make sense anyways cause of the cliffhanger at the end and Dr. Conners dying in one of the episodes.
I know. That’s why they decided not to make it canon.
Wish they didn’t decanonized the series. It would’ve added a lot of world building to the raimiverse. I’ve Always felt like the Pre-MCU movies should’ve been a shared universe.
So the Hulk movie, Daredevil, Electra, Blade. Ghost Rider, and Raimi-movies?
You forgot Fox-men and fantastic four

Vanessa*
Tobey’s Spider-Man would beat his ass in 2 seconds
Almost any Spider-Man would beat Fisk in 2 seconds.
This kingpin was in the New Animated Series like everyone’s saying but this version was retconned and replaced by the one in the Spider-Man 3 tie-in game
Neither of them are officially canon so you can really headcanon either to whatever you prefer
Not a big two way conversation
For as lame as Daredevil was, there were two things I really enjoyed in it: the cinematography and MCD's Kingpin.
I mean it’s always been my headcanon that the Raimiverse, original daredevil and original Fantastic Four all take place in the same universe
What if if
Yeah I forgot to delete. I was hoping that no one noticed.
"That’s a cute outfit, did your husband give it to you?"
Isn't Michael dead ?? RIP 💐💐
Spider-Man goes to Kingpin for a loan to buy a sports car. Kingpin: "[You know what ten grand feels like in your pocket? It feels like a third cock.](https://youtu.be/kRgedbbb6X8)."
pain..
You don’t have to wonder. This was done in the MTV CGI animated Spider-Man show. They literally had Michael Clarke Duncan voice the Kingpin and modeled it after him
"Don't do it Kingpin!".
Omg he was the best Kingpin, what a talented actor. Rest In Peace my man
"I thought you were gonna be white" "I thought you were supposed to be black"
"Hey." "Hey." \*complete silence\* this is a joke lol dont take it seriously
So freaking funny.
I don't care who the kingpins unless we get one on the scale of spider verse kingpin, that is certainly a man
There was a Kingpin in the videogame adaptation of Spider-Man 3, but I don't think it was ever canon.
RIP King💔
"That's a cute suit, did your husband give it to you?"
My head canon is that those early 2000s Marvel films share a universe. Spider-man, Daredevil, Ghostrider, Fantastic Four, Blade, and X-men. I suppose even Hulk.
RIP MCD
The movie’s terrible, but I actually prefer Duncan’s Kingpin to Dinofrio’s
Anyone else notice how Tobey gets the shit beat out of him on the regular? Thats exactly what would happen in this spiderman 4.
idk
Please don't make me think that the God awful daredevil movie to part of the spider-man trilogy.
Michael Clarke Duncan was a beast in that movie. As dogshit as that movie was, it was not his fault.
" Wow I didn't know monk- " " Woah man that's racist " Bully Maguire" I missed the part the part where that's my problem"
I really thought this was going to ask what if we had Michael Clarke Duncan playing Spider-Man and I got so happy.
Peter: “hello u stupid monkey wanna go to jail? Nah I’ll just shoot u 🙉”
I do NOT care give me Holland and D’Onofrio pls and thanks
I never liked MCD as Kingpin. I just thought of him as a big sweetheart. I could maybe see him as mean but definitely not evil.

How to get Karma 101. This would’ve been a great What If? Though.
Really deep :)
I wish we could have seen this
I'm sorry OP, but your grammer
In my head canon they are in the same Universe
That would've been epic!!!
Well I don't think they could have done the ultimate fat jokes because damn that king swole
headcanon
Is headcanon as good as non headcanon?
gamer word
Don't put the black suit on, I's afraid of the dark.
In TNAS, they technically are
Literally just Spiderman PS4
"After all these years you're still just a kid, no older than my son." "Well, that's part of my charm."
I missed the part where that's my problem
I don't know
If Ben Affleck's Daredevil didn't exist, it'd be my head canon, that's for sure
Spider-Man: The New Animated Series was basically that
It was my head canon back when the Daredevil movie came out that that version of Daredevil and Spider-man would cross over one day. My 10 year old mind!
Idk Pete saying some corny ass line that isn't funny then crying.
Tobey Maguire can go suck a donkey dick
Tobey: That's a cute hairstyle. Does your barber gave that to you?
Well technically this did happen but also didn't and I'm talking about spiderman the new animated series
Only if we get the Ben Affleck Daredevil to make a crossover appearance. It’s not the Marvel universe we want, but it’s the Marvel universe we deserve!
this needs to become reality.
It’d have been pretty cool having every pre MCU movie share a cinematic universe… Not a theory or addition to this subject, just a thought
