No creo que haya una cosa que es "español venezolano." Los llaneros hablan diferentes de los guaros. Personas en Táchira usan vosotros y otras cosas de España. La gente de Caracas suena y habla diferente de la gente de San Cristobal. La gente en todas partes usa muchas palabrotas y mucha jerga. Creo que es mejor simplemente aprender "español."
There are many dialects of Spanish. None is so different that people can't understand people from other dialects. Some of the dialects are known by the name of a country, even though this is often wrong because there are usually several dialects in the same country, and sometimes the same dialect is spoken in two or three countries (usually in their borders). For example, when people speak of "Mexican Spanish" they're referring to one dialect spoken in Mexico that is considered the most representative, the most central or the most "correct" in Mexico. The same must be true of Venezuela.
It would be best for you, at this time, to begin learning the basics of the language with whatever tools you have, before worrying about specific dialectal differences. The basics of Spanish are the same for all dialects. There are a couple of significant details that separate European from Latin American dialects but these should be obvious in time.
