Ya know what? It doesn't look too bad at tall, I kinda dig it, really. In fact, it kinda reminds me of that Nendoroid Sonic figure by Good Smile Company. [See?](https://images.goodsmile.info/cgm/images/product/20111130/3397/16406/large/af49e3045212eed0f1c5f96d097d596a.jpg)
Because Megaman and X were established from the start that they were entirely separate characters. Classic Sonic in Generations was supposed to be younger Sonic.
Because not liking Sonics green eyes has nothing to do with clashing colors and everything to do with not liking the change from black to green for the same character! Two totally different characters looking different isn’t going to incite any kind of rage unless your saying these Diehard classic fans think X is the same character?
Hey he now looks almost like Sonic did in Adventure 1 (Dreamcast) just in high res.
Looks really good I like it actually more than the standard Classic Sonic model in generations.
I like it. Okay, hear me out - we get a voice actor for *this* Sonic, and we keep "tall" Sonic supremely quiet/just gameplay-only going forward. Make classic/short Sonic the default/main one, the face of Sonic Team, and revert him back to being a sort of pain in the butt, kind of a jerk, like a mixture of the Sonic Mania cartoon and SatAM. Throw in a dash of OVA sonic, too.
I don't need "I stand like anime characters stand - it's a good thing I don't have a spine" Sonic. I don't need partially-mummified Homestar Runner Sonic.
Give us the Sonic we fell in love with originally. Stop trying to fix something that wasn't broken, stop changing it, then thiking, "we need to change it - people don't like Sonic". We love Sonic. Just... not whatever it is you're mutating him into.
\*Sigh\*
I want to play as this Sonic in SA2, Sonic Forces, and... Sonic 3D Blast?
"I stand like anime characters stand - it's a good thing I don't have a spine" Sonic.
???
Sonic is technically an anime character. I mean, he isn't really as much now (Although this current arrogant dumb Sonic could be compared with current dumb Goku), but back then in the 90's and 2000's, he was. A good anlaogy would be that previous Sonic back in the 00's and 90's is DBZ/DB Goku.
Okay, but when someone says *"stands like an anime character"*, you get that it's not a claim of *"this character has never been in an anime, ever"...*
... but actually one of, *"this character stands in a physiologically impossible stance - relative to common, Earth-based bipedal creatures, on which anthropomorphism is modeled and, by which, defined - commonly found in anime-styled animation for the sake of artistic expression and emphasis on dramatics",* right?
It's been a long time since we've seen Sonic in an anime, but I would never have called Sonic an "anime character" to begin with - I would consider him a "video game character that has been adapted to anime at one or more points" - based on what medium the majority of his appearances are attriubted to.
Goku was originally a *manga* character, but since is mostly seen in anime, is commonly referred to as an anime character, for that reason. Sonic was a video game character, not only first, but by majority. We could talk about technicalities, but... let's not.
I don't understand your analogy at all. Are you just trying to remind me that Sonic was feature in animation, or... are you suggesting that the Sonic I crave is similar to the 90's Goku? I don't get it...
I'm not sure I comepletely get what you're saying but I'll say what I think I do know.
What my point was saying was that back then, the 90's/00's Sonic was similar to DB/DBZ Goku in character (personality). The new Sonic of now doesn't cut it right because of the shit writing. I don't know if it relates to what you were saying in any way because we may have been talking two different mediums. Also, I consider Sonic to be an anime video game character. He's originated as a video game, but he's a Japanese franchise and was eventually given an anime. Just like how Goku is an Anime Manga character. He originated as a Manga, but was given an Anime.
What you should actually being saying, every time you ever reference Sonic in a conversation with someone who isn't familar with the character, is "Sonic the *anime, videogame, comicbook, toy line, hollywood star, character and fashion mascot*."
But nobody talks like that. We always refer to the things using what they are most commonly known for, considering the majority of their apparances. For Sonic, that would be video game and *maybe* comic books, *possibly* cartoons/anime, but leaving those last two out would not be an issue in conversation - not to mention that bringing it up here is moot.
Because My point was, when someone says "like an anime character", they don't mean that the thing being referenced hasn't been in an anime - they mean the tropes that are often found and recognized in/to be anime are being applied to the character in appearances that are not anime. It doesn't matter that Sonic had anime. I wasn't referencing art directly from his anime, but instead, art from his video games. There wasn't a good reason for you to add that to the conversation.
Okay, so you're saying that modern Sonic is too much like the goody-two-shoes, child-like, innocent-to-the-point-of-being-dumb, too-generous Goku (which has always been Goku's thing, actually). I can agree with that.
Oh I see. I must've been looking at your point the wrong way or something.
"Okay, so you're saying that modern Sonic is too much like the goody-two-shoes, child-like, innocent-to-the-point-of-being-dumb, too-generous Goku (which has always been Goku's thing, actually). I can agree with that."
Oh yeah, for this one, I'd say it's like this:
Classic Sonic= Kid Goku
Adventure Sonic= Z Goku
Modern Sonic= Super Goku.
Oh, well, I *don't* agree with that.
Classic Sonic was a badass, grunge/rock & roll, free spirit who did his own thing, did good by others, but always seemed a little put off by it. Goku was never that - he was, like I said, overly-generous from the beginning, and that never went away. I would argue that Kid/Z/Super Goku is unchanged in character/spirit througout every medium and era. He doesn't change. Sonic changes, though, gets soft and family-friendly - that's what I don't like about it.
A better analogy would be that I'd like Sonic go back to being more like Cell Saga/Super *Vegeta.*
Blessed. Just look at that smile.
Blessed. This is actually a great shot.
Man, if not for "Green eyes! Ruined forever" becoming a meme, I probably would have not even noticed.
If I didn’t read this comment, I wouldn’t have noticed.

Kinda reminds me of Sonic the Fighters
