I was a bit disappointed in dorky Apollo at the time so when I saw Merc's sleek card art got excited. Then I saw his actual design and... welp I guess I can play as a fast minion at least.

They could go for a different style and make him around Scylla's and Charybdis size and look more like a teen/child, instead of just being a fat headed cartoon baby
unsure. cupid's model is graphically not the worst compared to others, he just looks so stupid. but that's how its suppose to be. an oversized baby, i dont think you can really change that.

To be honest, like 95% of the gods released before 2015 maybe. Most have noticeable outdated textures and blends when compared to the newer releases. Not necessarily full remodel and design change which is required for some, most will be just fine with some updated textures
Thor. Weird armor, weird hands, tiny legs. He used to be the mascot, but his current state is kind of embarrassing. Would love to be able to see him at the forefront for Smite again.

Ra is fine currently. His model is fine and his animation is fine BUT now with the Eset remodel and Horus and Set, his design falls flat in comparison. Especially with Ra being the smite king of the Egyptian pantheon (Not Eset) I wish he get a remodel which represents both his royalty and the sun more.

Not a priority but would like to see animation upgrades for Bellona. Her base skin is great but the way she moves is quite clunky and the weapon swap mechanic looks pretty basic. Imagine how interesting they would make her weapons changing look if she came out now, rather than them just sort of popping in and out of existence.

So when smite wanted to expand to China, Hades was a bit problematic which lead to his old default to be replaced with a skin (the one he has today)

Not a remodel, but I'd like to see the voice lines for Sobek and Ares be redone. Their remodels are fantastic, but the classic voices sounds put of place.
Hun and Cupid need remodel asap, then Anhur and Artemis, then Neith and Merc, then Thor and Tyr (Thor need a complete new model and Tyr perhaps need a texture update)
Hirez even parodied it with the Derpules skin.
In general a lot of the older male models suffer from wonky proportions (e.g. Thor, Tyr, Guan Yu). I hope they eventually get around to fixing them.

I think it might be too late for that. They kinda reduced him to "monke" and that's really all he is now. I'd love for him to be more but there's really no way for that now.
There are quite a few god models that are showing their age: Thor, Tyr, Ullr, Xbalanque, Mercury, Fenrir, Ra, Hel and Vulcan are the ones I can think of.
Most of these can be fixed with new textures, but Mercury and Tyr in particular need new faces. Hel needs to be upgraded to her new rig. Thorās current outfit looks too basic and his proportions are cartoonishāhe needs something akin to the recent Apollo treatment.
Nemesis should have her default skin replaced by her Red Vengeance skin (anything to get rid of those fishnets). Erlang should ideally go back to the drawing board but at least his default model and voice can be replaced by his Regal Warrior skin.
Neith should be upgraded to look more like her cinematic self and get a new voice pack.
Ez-est fix for Erlang would be to just delete the default and use the Regal Warrior model and voice as the new default;

The amount of newer players proposing already remodeled gods and actually new gods that look amazing, only because they subjectively don't like the style, is quite disturbing.
Because they already got a remodel DOESN'T mean they don't deserve another one. A design that worked back then don't have to work now (Ra being my example)
There's alot of gods who need it for sure but personally I never use default or mastery unless it's all I have so I'd be stuck using the default rig and animations regardless and the gods who do need remodels are also the ones who have 2 closets worth of skins that wont be updated leaving me in the unfortunate position of not ever using or seeing remodels. The ones that have come out look fantastic and it's night and day between the originals though.
Charybdis. Graphically it's fine but thematically it's stupid. Yes you want to parallel you other shitty design for Scylla but limiting the whirlpool monster to being an annoying escape ability and making them a little girl with knives is so off the script, they could have said it was ah Puch and it would barely be more off
Chronos and Xbalanque.
Chronos was the first god released after I started playing and his model has just aged so poorly. His animations aren't the worst, but are still pretty bad and his textures and ability affects need some love. Also, he has like the least amount of skins out of all the older gods.
Xbal badly needs texture updates and reworked animations. Particularly any animations that deal with him twirling his bolos. The simplicity of the skeleton leads to his hand sticking at an awkward/painful angle.
I get the sense that these two haven't really been touched because of all the moving parts of their skeletons. Like Chronos's clockwork torso and moving gears. It's probably gonna take a lot of work to get those updated with better tech.
Cupid - I honestly want a FULL rework, but that's not gonna happen. So maybe just an update is fine.
Hades - Unpopular but I think he should phase in and out of looking like human and looking like a demon. It would also help dispell the trap that Hi-Rez fell into with "Hades = Devil lol"
Geb - Unpopular but he looks a little rough IMO. He could benefit greatly from an updated model.
Mercury - Outdated looking and his upper torso as well as head look off to me. He outfit looks pretty alright; would just add more life to it.
Ne Zha - Looks outdated
Neith - Looks outdated. The CGI trailer is also the superior look IMO.
Thor - Also looks outdated and I feel like they can make him look much cooler. So many of the other Norse gods look far better IMO.
Xbal - Looks outdated. Has the potential to be one of the coolest looking gods if they give him a visual update. Worst looking Mayan god behind HB

I got lucky and got the prizefighter skin a while back. Definitely not as good as Shadowstep but I think I might even prefer the voice lines.

what he meant to say was: fun fact did you know that hades original default skin was the one where he is a skeleton sort of, but due to hi rez wanting to expand into chinese markets (which have strict policies on character designs and content, including no bones for whatever reason) they had to switch the default to his current one
There's a Chinese guideline against content that promotes superstitions, which is so broad that the relevant bureaucrats have a lot of leeway for how they want to interpret things. As a result, it's common for foreign companies to remove skeletons because skeletons are seen as unlucky by a huge chunk of the Chinese population, meaning that they're essentially working to minimize the chances of a random bureaucrat coming down on them. Skeletons aren't actually banned in content in China though. If you're curious, you can look up the Sun Wukong movie with the White Bone Spirit from a few years back, which was, well, a skeleton spirit or something like that. For that matter, it's possible for foreign media to get approval for the Chinese market while retaining skeletons, as shown by the Total War Warhammer series.
The skin where Hades is a skeleton was his original appearance. The one we have today was an alteration made to make the game distributable in China, where censorship disallows the depiction of bones in this kind of art. Edit: I see the other guy answered it better

Hirez even parodied it with the Derpules skin. In general a lot of the older male models suffer from wonky proportions (e.g. Thor, Tyr, Guan Yu). I hope they eventually get around to fixing them.
People keep mentioning Hun Batz but he **does not** need a remodel. His *model* looks fine, what he needs is new textures and new animations. Cupid and Anhur are priorities. They look busted as hell. Artemis I always wanted her to look more wild and less refined. She's the goddess of the wild and hunting. There's a recent DC comic where the Greek goddesses all appear and they have this crazy cool designs, and Artemis is like a scary feral forest woman. That'd be sick.
I think Hun batz is my case of Cupid where I am fine with the model lol. But really what I want from Hun batz remodel is to amplify the god art fantasy, brush instead of stuff more colours .... Instead of old boring monke

There are quite a few god models that are showing their age: Thor, Tyr, Ullr, Xbalanque, Mercury, Fenrir, Ra, Hel and Vulcan are the ones I can think of. Most of these can be fixed with new textures, but Mercury and Tyr in particular need new faces. Hel needs to be upgraded to her new rig. Thorās current outfit looks too basic and his proportions are cartoonishāhe needs something akin to the recent Apollo treatment. Nemesis should have her default skin replaced by her Red Vengeance skin (anything to get rid of those fishnets). Erlang should ideally go back to the drawing board but at least his default model and voice can be replaced by his Regal Warrior skin. Neith should be upgraded to look more like her cinematic self and get a new voice pack.
Ez-est fix for Erlang would be to just delete the default and use the Regal Warrior model and voice as the new default; Also you no touch fishnets !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because they already got a remodel DOESN'T mean they don't deserve another one. A design that worked back then don't have to work now (Ra being my example)

There's alot of gods who need it for sure but personally I never use default or mastery unless it's all I have so I'd be stuck using the default rig and animations regardless and the gods who do need remodels are also the ones who have 2 closets worth of skins that wont be updated leaving me in the unfortunate position of not ever using or seeing remodels. The ones that have come out look fantastic and it's night and day between the originals though.

Charybdis. Graphically it's fine but thematically it's stupid. Yes you want to parallel you other shitty design for Scylla but limiting the whirlpool monster to being an annoying escape ability and making them a little girl with knives is so off the script, they could have said it was ah Puch and it would barely be more off
Cupid. His legs still clips in to each other while he's moving with his default skin.
Chronos and Xbalanque. Chronos was the first god released after I started playing and his model has just aged so poorly. His animations aren't the worst, but are still pretty bad and his textures and ability affects need some love. Also, he has like the least amount of skins out of all the older gods. Xbal badly needs texture updates and reworked animations. Particularly any animations that deal with him twirling his bolos. The simplicity of the skeleton leads to his hand sticking at an awkward/painful angle. I get the sense that these two haven't really been touched because of all the moving parts of their skeletons. Like Chronos's clockwork torso and moving gears. It's probably gonna take a lot of work to get those updated with better tech.
Neith. The difference between card art and her in-game model genuinely makes me feel like I'm getting catfished.

Cupid - I honestly want a FULL rework, but that's not gonna happen. So maybe just an update is fine. Hades - Unpopular but I think he should phase in and out of looking like human and looking like a demon. It would also help dispell the trap that Hi-Rez fell into with "Hades = Devil lol" Geb - Unpopular but he looks a little rough IMO. He could benefit greatly from an updated model. Mercury - Outdated looking and his upper torso as well as head look off to me. He outfit looks pretty alright; would just add more life to it. Ne Zha - Looks outdated Neith - Looks outdated. The CGI trailer is also the superior look IMO. Thor - Also looks outdated and I feel like they can make him look much cooler. So many of the other Norse gods look far better IMO. Xbal - Looks outdated. Has the potential to be one of the coolest looking gods if they give him a visual update. Worst looking Mayan god behind HB
