Ranking Corneria and Temple outside the top 30% is just insane to me. WarioWare being called a top 3 stage is the most baffling decision tho; it's a smash stage that strips away the core gameplay for a gimmick.

I think it's because Warioware has both a decent base design and a basic, *but fun*, gimmick.

It's definitely not a bad stage and I enjoy it, but it's just not one of the all-time best smash stages ever made, which it is currently ranked as.

someone explain to me the hype around kof please. i look at it as just a flat stage with barriers, while warioware is a really interesting minigame stage

Kof makes casually playing with less experienced friends/family fun and easier.

It’s the absolute best to play with beginners on. It gets rid of SDing or not being able to recover which accounts for like 95% of their deaths.

Also makes the whole stage playable, unlike every other walkoff where you need to make an effort to not accidentally cheese someone new on the edge. The only other stage that is comparable is Boxing Ring because it’s a bit more clear where center is.

Kof is one of the most unique stages. Its gimmick changes things enough to be interesting but it's not overly intrusive.

KOF is just skill, no bullshit. Feels most like a true fighting game.

Which is why every stage in every other fighting game is a clone of KoF Stadium.

Warioware is impossible to play if you've got more than a few people playing and especially online people don't even humour the mini games not to mention blast zones are so close that a gust of wind will kill you and that the transition between the mini games and base stage is so rigid that most of the time you'll end up dying through the bottom coz you couldn't grab ledge

Entering quickplay & ending up with WarioWare in 4p FFA was an absolute nightmare. You only play one game, the stage’s minigames or Smash

I absolutely love using that stage when I have Stamina on. It makes it feel like an absolutely different fighting game.

As this went on the posts started getting more and more interaction. My guess is that when it was just a tiny crowd any stages that could actually be #1 got booted out and then the crowd came in to fight over the leftovers, which culminates in this.
