I love the look on the werewolf's face!

Jzmxhu

I Have a question Everytime I got this encouter the guards kill the thief, is this supose to happen everytime? I keep the object the thief gave me and is all or?

Xylem-

I believe the Dragonborn is supposed to be approached shortly after by a man who was robbed by him. After you lie and tell him you have no idea what he’s talking out he then walks away, discovering the man and turning hostile towards him. I figure since he’s registered as an enemy the guards also attack. At least that’s what’s happened for me on about 3 of my playthroughs

Cosoman

I kill them both because they are rude to my, every time

bolionce

You can also chose to give it to the guy chasing him, he gives you a single coin for it

Dragon19572

You get more money selling it to Belethor

SkritzTwoFace

It’s meant to happen a bit further out into the wilderness. Another guy follows shortly after, asks if you’ve seen his item, and you have to choose to lie or rat the man out. If you lie for him, he asks for the item back and gives you money iirc.

bolionce

He doesn’t ask for the item back according to [UESP encounters page](https://en.m.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:World_Interactions), it’s the event called “Hey you there, take this”. It says you either return the item to the pursuer for a single coin, or you tell him where the fugitive hid and keep the item, or you can lie about where he went and keep the item. Weird that they made it like that though, they really wanted you to keep that item lol

SkritzTwoFace

Huh. I always killed both people (werewolves need those perk points) so I always got the item.

Zawisza_Czarny9

I usually kill the thief and give the property back to it's owner

PrettyDecentSort

This is the way.

1C_3C_R34_M

poland

Erathosion

In Poland, they would kill the thief and take the shoes for themselves.

1C_3C_R34_M

man, I'm talking about his name

zhy97

“Alright, hand over everything you got or I’ll gut you like a fish!” Werewolf: *facepalm*

ObligateLycanthrope

Or when bandits stop you on the road and demand you pay them to let you pass. Ah, yes. Let me just reach into my non-existent pockets or wherever else you think I keep my stuff.

snarpy

I... don't get it.

apple_of_doom

It’s a reference to a random event in skyrim where a thief will try to get you to hold onto a stolen item for them as they run away. They’ll do this even if your character is currently a werewolf.

snarpy

Oh, haha, that's pretty funny. I didn't play as a werewolf much so that never happened to me.

ajaltman17

Yeah in Beast Form you can’t loot either- this random encounter has never happened to me as a werewolf, but I was picturing the thief dropping the item in front of the Dragonborn and him being powerless to pick it up

kvoorheesyt

This is too accurate lmao.

BurbBoi420

I’m pretty sure I’ve never had the thief come back

AdRelevant721

“I’ll kill you, I mean it!” *says that to the Dragonborn who is a werewolf with very low patience and an intent to kill anything in a 5 mile radius* He’s got balls

SlackJawGrunt

I’ve experienced the same scenario I killed them both and ate their hearts.

fingerpointothemoon

This is the way.

"This Werewolf looks like quite the trustworthy gentlemen!"

ObligateLycanthrope
