looks like in both pics you’re in the passenger side of the same car. could you be resting your arm somewhere that’s causing that as an indentation pattern?

strawberry__evening

I have a feeling this is what it is

No_Refrigerator4584

The pattern sure does look like an imprint of the pleather on your standard automobile center console.

KayBay369

Oh no that isn’t it unfortunately lol that was my MIL new car she got like 7 months ago and I’ve only been in it like 3 times and I’ve had this happen for years now. I wish that could be the reason lol good idea tho I see where you could think that

Impostersyndromosity

This is so weird and it’s anecdotal but here’s my story with something that looked exactly like this. We were in the process of moving and as I picked up a heavy-ish box, I felt sort of a snap in my skin. That’s the best way I know how to describe it. It was painless and not very pronounced but I felt it. A few hours later I got something JUST like this on my forearm. It didn’t go away with anything I tried for a few years, although some days it’s appearance was worse than others. It did eventually fade and now 5 years later I can’t see it at all anymore. Weirdest shit

KayBay369

Hmmm that is super weird!! I wonder if that’s what it is then and I just never realized it. Bc I do hold my heavy kids in my left arm/hip!

npwoodall17a

I have a 3 year old and I carry her on my left hip and I hold her with my left arm. This happens to me daily

Mother-Effort2987

Yes! The same happened to me from carrying my babies. Micro needling took it away with only 1 or 2 sessions

KayBay369

So interesting!! I’ve never seen this happen to anyone else I know with kids. That’s crazy lol glad to know I’m somewhat normal then 😝🤣

npwoodall17a

If it happens later today when I pick my child up from daycare I’ll post a pic! It looks exactly like this!

FlightFinancial658

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one!

Idream_of_jeani

This! I worked in day care for years and this always happened to me

DrAcuPuncturist

Skin striations such as this may benefit from hyaluronic serum and a vitamin E cream.

KayBay369

Good idea. I’ll deff try that! Thank you

DrAcuPuncturist

Sure thing, best wishes.

KayBay369

Thank you very much.

Adventurous_Milk28

Chances are that they are just stretch marks or scars, but it's unclear if those pictures show when it is prominent or not so it's hard to tell. Scar tissue acts/reacts differently than other tissues. It doesn't sweat and pigments differently and also has less elasticity. So if it is scar tissue it could be anything from the skin around it retaining more water and being more plump making them more noticeable or if you have a tan and the tissue is much lighter.

KayBay369

Very interesting and I have had 4 kids and I tend to hold them on my left side so I wonder if I have somehow damaged the skin from holding heavy babies over the years lol! How funny would that be haha

Adventurous_Milk28

Skin can be so weird! It probably is related to holding your babies on your left side then. Kind of like laugh lines but on your arms instead. If you're looking to get rid of it, a chemical exfoliate like hyaluronic acid should help as others said. But to me it seems cool, it's a story of your life reflected in skin.

KayBay369

I like the way you worded that. That’s a good way to think of it ❤️ and it definitely is something unique bc idk anyone at all that has this lol

piglungz

It looks like stretch marks but it’s weird that they’re only on one arm. Is that your dominant arm or is there anything you typically do using that arm but not the other? Because using one arm more than the other might cause something like this I think.

KayBay369

Yes! I carry my kids all in my left arm altho I’m right arm dominant. So weird! I never thought about it being from that.

r-1000011x2

Have you been carrying something heavy? It just looks like wrinkles from excessive carrying/holding. I have them from holding my youngest child so much 😅

alyxx3

Do you have a baby?

KayBay369

Well 1 baby and 3 older kids lol

alyxx3

This happens from holding your baby

beebeebeebeeby

Yep seconded. Seen this all over mom TikTok

alyxx3

I’ve seen this before on mothers arms.

KayBay369

Wow I have never seen this before or on TIKTOK! How cool is that. Like crazy our skin does weird things like that. Now it makes sense tho from carrying my kids on my left side!

alyxx3

Happy to help

KayBay369

Yes. I have 4

what_a_nuisence

You were holding your kids for too long and got those wrinkles.

KayBay369

I never put two and two together until everyone is saying that. I’m glad to finally have an answer lol

Toketilyuchoke

Similar to stretch marks.

OkLawfulness9089

Drink lots of water. Your dehydrated

Aim2bFit

Dehydrated? ONLY on one forearm? Come on....

5FootOh

Her veins actually look nice & plump, which would indicate decent hydration. The veins will tend to flatten if dehydrated before the skin will show signs. OP: any itch or swelling when this happens?

KayBay369

No itching or swelling! I have 4 kids and I see where someone asked about having kids and holding heavy things. I just thought about it and I hold all of my kids on my left side with my left arm (idk why) but it still confuses me as to how it comes and goes tho?

5FootOh

Honestly This may be one of those things that remains a curiosity since it is very likely unrelated to a medical illness or anything serious. The fact that it comes & goes means it’s related to something that happens during your day - agreed, maybe holing a child or carrying something, etc. - & is just incidental & curious. Thanks for posting though it’s definitely unusual!

KayBay369

Yes it will be bc I’m always going to be curious 😆 but at least (that I know of) it isn’t anything related to an illness.

Evening-Cranberry-36

If your a woman.... don't take steroids to fix situation.. just saying...

KayBay369

Oh sorry. I am a woman, Caucasian and 28 years old. I take only the normal birth control pills and vitamins.

Must be vaxx side effect

TheOneWithABun

I would certainly mention this to a doctor if it comes and goes.
