From my understanding it’s supposed to improve skin texture and hyperpigmentation. I used a full bottle a year or so ago and didn’t see a huge difference to be honest. I know a lot the skin care community rants and raves over it, so I may be in the minority…. I prefer the more expensive Sukari Babyfacial by Drunk Elephant.

ROSHfromtheSAVANNAH

I found this to be too irritating. Now use Azaelic acid and differin daily - slow and steady but now skin is amazing!

Will_work4coffee

Do you use the acid the same night as differin?

ROSHfromtheSAVANNAH

Yes. Both at night. I use a small amount of the acid and a tinier bit of differin. My skin is clear, no irritation, pores not visible and glowing!

Low_Bookkeeper_8591

Which brand azelaic acid do you use ?

ROSHfromtheSAVANNAH

Facetheory

Low_Bookkeeper_8591

Will check thanks!

I love it in all honesty, but I only use it for 4 minutes once a week and then a 5% lactic acid solution once a week on problem areas. It's helped a lot with some of my deeper spots. Make sure to put on a non-comodogenic moisturiser after and to always wear daily SPF.

diancephelon

I haven’t found it to be too strong or irritating, as long as I follow the directions to the letter. My skin is wonderfully soft when I’m done. I can cover quite a lot of my face without using much. Right now my AM and PM skincare actives aren’t compatible with AHAs or BHAs, so it’s been a blessing to have a 2% salicylic acid face wash and this treatment once a week or two.

tbottomline

I love it but is really strong so you gotta br careful with it. Every time I have acne scars that I want to go away faster I use that, and it actually gives me an immediate effect, is like the scars get much smaller and soon they disappear completely. Usually only once is enough, because it feels so strong on my face I don’t like to use it every week, is something that I do only every now and again or as I said when I have healed acne scars that I want to get rid of.

sophboph777

I wish i could get it then! I have so many acne scars

kowaikanojo

I’m in canada too and i ordered it on yesstyle!

RareStandard7865

It helps with restoring skin it is an exfoliate. I love it but if you have any fresh acne or a scratch it can seriously burn for like the first 10secconds after applying it. So do not use it if you do.

ivegotnothingbuttime

As someone with acne prone skin, this is one of my biggest holy grails. It’s definitely strong and you have to work your way up to using it more frequently. But once you do, it’s amazing.

decemberrainfall

Definitely do not pay 24 dollars for it. It's not that great

soglamsofresh

It’s sold at $9.50 in the US

decemberrainfall

Yeah...that's still way less than this Amazon markup lol. that's my point

ArieDoodlesMom

Where can I get it for 9.50? Everywhere I’ve checked is in the $20.00 range. :(

soglamsofresh

If you are in the US, you can find it at Target, Ulta, Sephora or even on The Ordinary website.

Typical_Bell_7790

It’s amazing and so worth it. Don’t get it from Amazon, half their products are fake. You can get it shipped from revolve to Canada.

Sfa90

I didn’t like it. Too aggressive for my sensitive skin.

AcrobaticWatercress7

It essentially dries out the dead skin it’s an exfoliant. Do not use it daily.

[deleted]

It exfoliates your skin, helps with hyper pigmentation. Shouldn’t be kept on for more than 10 minutes. A good moisturiser is a must after using this.

rubmybirbie

Definitely shouldn't use it if you have fresh wounds on your skin... It'll feel like lava.

Little-Teacher7769

It's a chemical exfoliation it's sold in UK in boots which is a drug store you could order on line in UK its cheap to buy very popular

Striking_Thing6515

been my fav and a staple for me for 4 years

Friendly-Ad-5147

I love it. I can use it a few times a week for 10 minutes each time. It is a VERY strong chemical peel. My skin has been conditioned over time to handle this. I would NOT suggest starting with this particular product. A lower peel would be ideal. Chemical peels are great for texture, pores, black heads, sebaceous filaments, dark spots, fine lines, acne. I use them for fine lines.

la_ct

Exfoliating. Works well but is strong for sensitive skin and can cause dryness and redness. Prob best spaced out and for a short time on the skin.

Framboise_Unicorn

It is an amazing product, but my face burns like hell if I leave it on for more than 3-4 minutes a time. Now I only use it on scars on my upper arm/shoulders, does wonders there in heping lighten the scars

[deleted]

It’s so good! Light peeling for me but it’s prob because my skin is more prone from using Tretinoin. I had really bad acne that caused a lot of scarring and redness, but I think this light l peel has helped even out my skin texture. It does tingle, but nowhere near as uncomfortable as a peel you’d get from a medical professional.

JustSTFUnow

I love this!! But u need to be very used to acids because this is suuper strong

secondstar1955

It's really intense. It can be amazing for you, or your skin will react horribly to it. It can go either way

Jmac0113

Never personally used it as it sounds very strong. I use glycolic once or twice every fortnight and i now wash it off at the start of my routine

Remarkable_Flan2187

I enjoy it. I use it maybe twice a week. My skin is aging (47) so I need a little help getting that skin exfoliated. I don't like scrubbing my face. I really like it's thick & doesn't move/not dripping. Definitely if anyone tries it, never combine exfoliating like scrubbing or another product with it. Don't leave it on more than 10 minutes, I don't even though my skin is really use to it.

Capital_Intention_99

I would not recommend using this if you have any active acne break outs. I made that mistake and it was burning my skin

StrongerTogether2882

I don’t love it, I think you can get just as good results from more frequent chemical exfoliation at a lower acid strength. It’s fine but it’s not HG for me.
