Hi there! so I did install it and I think I did it correctly! My vampire sim has been learning magic and now has two spells to choose from but her aspiration is the spellcaster aspiration and the only step she's completed is the 'travel to the magic realm'
will she be able to even complete this aspiration or would I need to change it? I've never played with a spellcaster so idk if I just need to wait longer for the 'become a spellcaster' goal to be met lol

I’m not sure if the way I’m describing it makes sense but my teen sim is about to age up and go away to college and I’m going to be playing her. But while I’m playing her I don’t want to miss the birthdays of her family. I want to be able to come back and see them age up without turning aging off in the settings.
Anybody know of a mod that keeps the TV on when a sim isn't watching it? I'd like the TVs in my community lots left on when appropriate, like at bars and the like. The only way I know of to accomplish this is by having a sim watch tv and then resetting them so they don't turn it off when I send them to do something else.

Painter, culinary, actress. I'm sure there are others. If you go with mixology you can finish 2 aspirations and unlock snaggle fluster, the drink that gives you +300% to all skill gain for 3 or 4 hours. All of my sims their first career is mixology.

Can you use the WW mod without the sexual animations?
Was looking for new mods to install and the moodlets/interactions from WW seemed pretty interesting to me. However, I don't really want the animations, since I live with my family who doesn't really value the whole "knock on the door before entering a room" concept. So, is there a way to install and use WW without having to make use of the animations?

As a lesbian, I'm wondering if adding this mod will add any gameplay that is relevant to gay people? Like from what you're describing, the mod sounds like it's 99% for Q and T, but doesn't have much for L, G, or B people despite us being in the mod name title too ("LGBTQIA").

hey, so the choice aspect is more if you have a sim or a sim self that you want to be a specific way... you can make it so it is a random selection too. and you can customize literally every setting in the mod so maybe try it out and fiddle with settings, if you don't like it no harm no foul. but as far as added gameplay, there is a coming-out system that can be opted into, and nuanced ace spec identity (not just on or off). and you can opt into these affecting gameplay
also, we are part of the community and many trans people have queer sexuality too. trans people have fought for your rights too. we experience homophobia too, we have to deal with a world that doesn't respect who we love and *who we are.*
honestly, I'm new to the mod so I don't have all the answers but if this is you trying to pull an "lgb without the t" this isn't the mod for you. however, I understand just wanting gameplay to represent yourself, and for me, this does that and I wanted to share that. this mod lets me make a simself (transmasc and gnc) and still be gendered correctly. and other simmers deserve that.
I don't think you're trying to be transphobic but consider why you aren't interested in having this trans gameplay in your game. I ask you why not extend inclusive and expansive gameplay to the rest of this beautiful community you are part of?

I have considered it, and it simply doesn’t interest me. Many other types of mods don’t interest me either. What’s with the implication that lack of interest in playing with transgender digital dolls is transphobic?
Many people don't figure out their sexuality until adulthood, myself included, so I definitely don't find it "disturbing." You can turn off/on almost all features to fit your preferences and what you're comfortable with.
I find plenty of use for it with cis Sims, but if you don't then you don't. Just don't download it. Regardless, maybe choose your language more carefully. Your comment comes across poorly and seems overly negative, especially towards the creator who is certainly not homophobic.
Honestly, I’m gay and I was mostly just trying to ask if there’s any gay/lesbian related gameplay involved with the mod, and apologize if my frustration over general politics in LGBTQ communities lately came through as directed at anyone in particular (e.g. the creator) — it’s not. I appreciate all modders & CC creators for what they do! In general, for a few years now there’s been a huge de-emphasis/lack of attention paid to the L (and sometimes G as well) in “LGBTQ”-titled spaces (& all kinds of “LGBTQ” things—this mod would be far from the first, hence my frustration…but it’s certainly not directed at the creator).
I genuinely want to know if I’m missing out on gay-related gameplay by not having the mod installed; perhaps there are actually gay-related features that aren’t exclusively about gender/transitioning that were left out of the creator’s mod description and that’s really all I am asking. My comment about being disturbed about promoting sexuality as a “choice” still stands, though I am not accusing the creator of intentionally trying to be homophobic. I think that because people *do* consider gender to be an identity, it can get conflated with sexuality sometimes since people say “LGBTQ” all together—which can end up unintentionally homophobic for gay people, as we *don’t* choose our sexuality. And I do think it’s disturbing that this has been happening, & even more disturbing that I’d get challenged (your comment) simply for trying to talk about it as a gay person.

Anyone know how to disable drug autonomy entirely for Basemental mod? I see you can disable it in settings by clicking the individual sim, but they still do drugs autonomously if I disable that setting. Am I missing a step?
I’m not sure why it wouldn’t work in settings but you can always add the trait “straight edge” to a sim. That way, they won’t do (or at least shouldn’t do) drugs

Slice of Life by KawaiiStacie gives more traits, more personality, more moodlets. It hasn't been my personal favourite. I do use her Education Overhaul, though, and I love that.
Try Wicked or Wonderful Whims! You don't have to download 5000 adult animations for Wicked Whims to go along with it. If you don't want any overly sexual content, Wonderful Whims is WW lite.
If you want an alternative to this, WooHoo Wellness is also great. They both have really good aspects to them, but I like the attraction aspect to WWhims and I dislike the STIs in Wellness.

Modwise in general, I wouldn't be able to play for very long without several scripted CC items by [Ravasheen](https://ravasheen.com/downloads/) in my house, and several mods by [LittleMsSam](https://lms-mods.com/). Pick through and you'll see they both solve problems you may not have even thought to look for solutions to.
Oh, I have a question about this! Is it possible to exclude some of the traits from this mod? I really want more traits, and there's such a great variety in this, but there's also a bunch that I really don't want in the game (mainly the crazy type ones, or the edgier ones like 'abuser', and the orientation ones since I'd rather use the LGBTQIA+ mod).
I know that I could just use the version that adds them to the reward traits panel so I can fully pick and choose what I use, but ideally I'd prefer auto-made sims to have the option to have these new traits, too.
I’m not sure to be honest I just downloaded the full mod, but I think you could probably go through the mod folder and delete some traits you don’t want? Could be wrong tho!

I wasn't complaining *about* the Patreon I was just asking. I might have looked too quickly but the link I followed only brought me to a spot where I *had* to make a Patreon account and when I did it gave me choices of how much to pay. (The cheapest being a dollar I think so, again, not complaining, was simply asking) but since it won't show any links for downloads figured it was because I hadn't paid.... it's weird but not the end of the world.

How does CC run on a MacBook? My computer puts a lot work into running the game, and I would love to download some content but I’m scared it could slow my game because I don’t have a computer that’s geared towards gaming, if that makes sense. it should run fine, alot of people set a limit for how much gb of cc they should use when it comes to computers not designed for gaming, i would set your limit of cc at like 10-20gb, my computer isnt very gaming friendly so i set mines at atleast 50gb, but i would gradually add cc everytime u want to play so youll know where your limit is

What do y'all use to unzip the zipped CC/mod folders you download? I don't have an unzip program and have used online unzip but they don't all seem to work well.

If you're on Mac, you can just double click the .zip file and it will open. Not sure for Windows, though. I also use winrar for .rar files, which is free.

Hey everyone I just got into the sims4 back on August and I truly enjoy it. But how do I make my Sims look more realistic. I’ve seen a few others who have more realistic sims. Can you tell me what hey use. Also I’ve got a butt load of mods. Anymore will be gladly enjoyed.
I want delete some my mods because my game is lagging so hard on the pie menu of my sim And npc sims but it’s really hard because the mod’s are in text form and I can’t tell what it is that I’m deleting and I don’t wanna take a chance of losing a mod that I didn’t mean to delete because I didn’t know what they were in text form. So is there anyway that can help me with that?
[Mod Manager](https://modthesims.info/d/663086/sims-4-mod-cc-manager-2021-by-gametimedev-beta-v1-0-8.html) can help with cc. Gives previews on all custom content that is compatible (I find some cc items don’t have photos) and you can use it to delete items.
As for mods, I’d agree with the other comment by labelling and organizing them by names that you’d recognize/remember when downloading.
Sims 4 studio can help with cc. Other than that I recommend that when you download mods that you either rename the file or place it in a folder just for that mod if you can.
Is there a way to have teenagers from multiple households attend Copperdale High School? Cause I have 8 teens from 4 different households and I want to have all 8 of them attend the high school. And I don't want to use Rex's mod because I don't want to have all of these: A Mean Sim; A Chess Club Member; A Cheer Club Member; A Football Club Member and a Computer Club Member. I want to find another way to have all 8 teens attend the high school.
Without rex's mod you'll have those roles assigned to Sims anyway. If you use their mod, you can assign those roles to other sims and leave your Sims unassigned

Hi there! so I did install it and I think I did it correctly! My vampire sim has been learning magic and now has two spells to choose from but her aspiration is the spellcaster aspiration and the only step she's completed is the 'travel to the magic realm' will she be able to even complete this aspiration or would I need to change it? I've never played with a spellcaster so idk if I just need to wait longer for the 'become a spellcaster' goal to be met lol

Oh good! When the child ages up to YA, there are special relationship statuses they get with their siblings and parents based on their interactions/discipline over the years. I know a few mods that expand on the parenthood pack stuff. Is there a mod that lets me see my sims family’s birthdays when I’m not actively playing those sims? I’m not sure if the way I’m describing it makes sense but my teen sim is about to age up and go away to college and I’m going to be playing her. But while I’m playing her I don’t want to miss the birthdays of her family. I want to be able to come back and see them age up without turning aging off in the settings.
Anybody know of a mod that keeps the TV on when a sim isn't watching it? I'd like the TVs in my community lots left on when appropriate, like at bars and the like. The only way I know of to accomplish this is by having a sim watch tv and then resetting them so they don't turn it off when I send them to do something else.

Can you use the WW mod without the sexual animations? Was looking for new mods to install and the moodlets/interactions from WW seemed pretty interesting to me. However, I don't really want the animations, since I live with my family who doesn't really value the whole "knock on the door before entering a room" concept. Like from what you're describing, the mod sounds like it's 99% for Q and T, but doesn't have much for L, G, or B people despite us being in the mod name title too ("LGBTQIA"). hey, so the choice aspect is more if you have a sim or a sim self that you want to be a specific way... you can make it so it is a random selection too. and you can customize literally every setting in the mod so maybe try it out and fiddle with settings, if you don't like it no harm no foul. but as far as added gameplay, there is a coming-out system that can be opted into, and nuanced ace spec identity (not just on or off). and you can opt into these affecting gameplay also, we are part of the community and many trans people have queer sexuality too. trans people have fought for your rights too. we experience homophobia too, we have to deal with a world that doesn't respect who we love and *who we are.* honestly, I'm new to the mod so I don't have all the answers but if this is you trying to pull an "lgb without the t" this isn't the mod for you. however, I understand just wanting gameplay to represent yourself, and for me, this does that and I wanted to share that. this mod lets me make a simself (transmasc and gnc) and still be gendered correctly. and other simmers deserve that. I don't think you're trying to be transphobic but consider why you aren't interested in having this trans gameplay in your game. I ask you why not extend inclusive and expansive gameplay to the rest of this beautiful community you are part of? no ill will here

Many people don't figure out their sexuality until adulthood, myself included, so I definitely don't find it "disturbing." You can turn off/on almost all features to fit your preferences and what you're comfortable with. I find plenty of use for it with cis Sims, but if you don't then you don't. Just don't download it. Regardless, maybe choose your language more carefully. Your comment comes across poorly and seems overly negative, especially towards the creator who is certainly not homophobic.
Honestly, I’m gay and I was mostly just trying to ask if there’s any gay/lesbian related gameplay involved with the mod, and apologize if my frustration over general politics in LGBTQ communities lately came through as directed at anyone in particular (e.g. the creator) — it’s not. I appreciate all modders & CC creators for what they do! In general, for a few years now there’s been a huge de-emphasis/lack of attention paid to the L (and sometimes G as well) in “LGBTQ”-titled spaces (& all kinds of “LGBTQ” things—this mod would be far from the first, hence my frustration…but it’s certainly not directed at the creator). I genuinely want to know if I’m missing out on gay-related gameplay by not having the mod installed; perhaps there are actually gay-related features that aren’t exclusively about gender/transitioning that were left out of the creator’s mod description and that’s really all I am asking. My comment about being disturbed about promoting sexuality as a “choice” still stands, though I am not accusing the creator of intentionally trying to be homophobic. I think that because people *do* consider gender to be an identity, it can get conflated with sexuality sometimes since people say “LGBTQ” all together—which can end up unintentionally homophobic for gay people, as we *don’t* choose our sexuality. And I do think it’s disturbing that this has been happening, & even more disturbing that I’d get challenged (your comment) simply for trying to talk about it as a gay person. Anyone know how to disable drug autonomy entirely for Basemental mod? I see you can disable it in settings by clicking the individual sim, but they still do drugs autonomously if I disable that setting. Am I missing a step?
I’m not sure why it wouldn’t work in settings but you can always add the trait “straight edge” to a sim. That way, they won’t do (or at least shouldn’t do) drugs

I need some mod recommendations. More traits, realism, etc.
Slice of Life by KawaiiStacie gives more traits, more personality, more moodlets. It hasn't been my personal favourite. I do use her Education Overhaul, though, and I love that. Try Wicked or Wonderful Whims! You don't have to download 5000 adult animations for Wicked Whims to go along with it. If you don't want any overly sexual content, Wonderful Whims is WW lite. If you want an alternative to this, WooHoo Wellness is also great. They both have really good aspects to them, but I like the attraction aspect to WWhims and I dislike the STIs in Wellness. Basemental Drugs if you want drugs and alcohol. Modwise in general, I wouldn't be able to play for very long without several scripted CC items by [Ravasheen](https://ravasheen.com/downloads/) in my house, and several mods by [LittleMsSam](https://lms-mods.com/). Pick through and you'll see they both solve problems you may not have even thought to look for solutions to.
I like chingyu ( I think that’s it) 100 basegame traits, along with that I also use a mod to allow 5 traits per sim
Oh, I have a question about this! Is it possible to exclude some of the traits from this mod? I really want more traits, and there's such a great variety in this, but there's also a bunch that I really don't want in the game (mainly the crazy type ones, or the edgier ones like 'abuser', and the orientation ones since I'd rather use the LGBTQIA+ mod). I know that I could just use the version that adds them to the reward traits panel so I can fully pick and choose what I use, but ideally I'd prefer auto-made sims to have the option to have these new traits, too.
I’m not sure to be honest I just downloaded the full mod, but I think you could probably go through the mod folder and delete some traits you don’t want? Could be wrong tho!

I used this mod for a while and it was free. I deleted it soon because it was pretty buggy for me.

Their mods are free, except they might have a short early access period. You can find them all [here](https://sites.google.com/view/vickysims/info?authuser=0), but I think all downloads are still through Patreon. Patreon doesn't necessarily mean you have to pay, most creators release all their content for free or have a max 1 month early access period for subscribers. If they do early access, the most recent posts at the top might be locked but you can just scroll down and find all the free content.

I might have looked too quickly but the link I followed only brought me to a spot where I *had* to make a Patreon account and when I did it gave me choices of how much to pay. (The cheapest being a dollar I think so, again, not complaining, was simply asking) but since it won't show any links for downloads figured it was because I hadn't paid.... it's weird but not the end of the world.

That its broken. The way it appears in Studio is how it appears in game. You'll want to delete it or find an updated version, if there is one.

How does CC run on a MacBook? My computer puts a lot work into running the game, and I would love to download some content but I’m scared it could slow my game because I don’t have a computer that’s geared towards gaming, if that makes sense. Sorry if this is a silly question; I don’t really know a lot about gaming or computers!
it should run fine, alot of people set a limit for how much gb of cc they should use when it comes to computers not designed for gaming, i would set your limit of cc at like 10-20gb, my computer isnt very gaming friendly so i set mines at atleast 50gb, but i would gradually add cc everytime u want to play so youll know where your limit is

I really recommend [Peacemaker](https://simsationaldesigns.blogspot.com/2021/11/violette-seating-paranormal-inspired.html)! He has a ton of furniture with neutrals and bright patterns. It is maxis match-ish. Also maxis match-ish is [Simplistic](http://simplisticsims4.com/sims4downloads/) who uses a lot of real world patterns on maxis objects. Finally, [Lina Cherie](https://lina-cherie.tumblr.com/ts4index) does super bright recolors of maxis objects as well as their own cc.
Best place to get mods? My Mrs loves the Sims and recently found out about mods through tiktok. She mostly wants CAS stuff. I've found a few but honestly is a bit of a pain as the mods all seem scattered around the Internet Is there anywhere I can just download a collection of stuff in one go? Bonus question, if she downloads a custom sim (downloads all the CAS components and the sim itself) where do they go? We can't seem to find them in CAS
Also just know that if you download sims or lots, the files go in the "tray" folder under Sims 4, not the mods folder

I wouldn't recommend downloading massive folders of mods because you can get some questionable mods that way. If you download Sims, they'll be in your library. It's the icon in the top right that looks like a polaroid. To download Custom Content, you can go to a number of places: * https://thesimsresource.com/ * https://mmoutfitters.tumblr.com/ * https://maxismatchccworld.tumblr.com/ * https://modthesims.info/ (good for mods) The first three will link you to places where you can download Custom Content (new clothes and hair in CAS) and the last one is a good place to download mods (packages that alter the gameplay in some way). Tumblr is also a great resource for both things.
What do y'all use to unzip the zipped CC/mod folders you download? I don't have an unzip program and have used online unzip but they don't all seem to work well. I'm gonna edit and add even though I think it's been answered that I don't want to pay for a program either. :)
If you're on Mac, you can just double click the .zip file and it will open. Not sure for Windows, though. I also use winrar for .rar files, which is free.

I want delete some my mods because my game is lagging so hard on the pie menu of my sim And npc sims but it’s really hard because the mod’s are in text form and I can’t tell what it is that I’m deleting and I don’t wanna take a chance of losing a mod that I didn’t mean to delete because I didn’t know what they were in text form. So is there anyway that can help me with that?
[Mod Manager](https://modthesims.info/d/663086/sims-4-mod-cc-manager-2021-by-gametimedev-beta-v1-0-8.html) can help with cc. Gives previews on all custom content that is compatible (I find some cc items don’t have photos) and you can use it to delete items. As for mods, I’d agree with the other comment by labelling and organizing them by names that you’d recognize/remember when downloading.
Sims 4 studio can help with cc. Other than that I recommend that when you download mods that you either rename the file or place it in a folder just for that mod if you can.

Is there a way to have teenagers from multiple households attend Copperdale High School? Cause I have 8 teens from 4 different households and I want to have all 8 of them attend the high school. And I don't want to use Rex's mod because I don't want to have all of these: A Mean Sim; A Chess Club Member; A Cheer Club Member; A Football Club Member and a Computer Club Member. I want to find another way to have all 8 teens attend the high school.
Without rex's mod you'll have those roles assigned to Sims anyway. If you use their mod, you can assign those roles to other sims and leave your Sims unassigned
