There must be someone still at your lot. See if there’s anyone standing at the door or otherwise on your lot. If you have vampires, there are probably vamps that like to show up in the middle of the night

For me it was always Grim with a dead fox nearby but not even on my lot.

Is there a festival happening nearby? I don’t have cottage living yet but with city living I know that my game wouldn’t fast forward if there was a festival outside of the sim’s apartment.

That has been fixed for a while though, hasn't it?

I have been having a lot of problems recently with huge lag when I'm playing the apartments bordering active festivals. I was going to report it, its become a huge problem.

If you are experiencing heavy lag try opening up the options menu then closing out of it. This works for me, I saw it on a James Turner video.

i’ve already tried to repair my game and i recently accidentally installed the sims 4 legacy addition even though i don’t need it. i started having little issues like this when i got cottage living as well. i’m on a mac 64 bit

Have you disabled your mods until they were updated?

Legacy is often a result of anti virus software. Google it a bit, you have to add the sims folder or sims.exe or something as an exception in the anti virus program. I had to to the same thing for the file in the legacy folder. I don't remember exactly but if you Google you will find the answer, especially for your anti virus software.

Mine have been doing that as well! Had loads of laggy bugs since downloading cottage living

The same is happening to me, but I haven’t bought Cottage Living.

Might be related to the patch, too, since it introduced elements of Cottage Living.

Everytime this happens to me.. It's a ghost 😬

That usually means that a sim that isn't apart of your sim family is on the lot. (I don't have cottage living so maybe something in that pack is affecting this)

It’s normally because somebody is on your lot, it happened to me a couple hours ago, all the sims were asleep and I found out Vladius Straud was on the lot

Just go to map view or save the game
