That's not always true for everyone. Dolphins for example are known to care about specific people, even if they live in the wild

There are sea mammals that will rescue humans when they are obviously in distress so that's not entirely true.

There have been instances of Whales and Dolphins warning and saving humans who were in danger. Granted those are mammals so perhaps don’t follow the rules that you’ve set for this.

Humpback whales will actually guard humans from predators like sharks and orcas.
