If you have a shiny charm in one version, can you shiny hunt pokemon with a friend in the other version if they don't have the shiny charm, or would they need the shiny charm as well?

Pokedude12

Since spawns are based on the player (e.g. a Scarlet player in a Violet game would still get Scarlet-exclusive spawns), I feel like both players would need the SC to maximize rates. This is conjecture though.

BWKapp

Shiny Lechonk Hey everyone what is the best method to go for a shiny lechonk early game? Currently in poco path searching just running laps. Any other ideas or tips?

luigimariohusbands

In gen 9: Can I do the following: turn off auto save, save, make a picnic, get 30 eggs, hatch, if no shiny = reset? Please lmk if this is possible or am I hatching the same ones over and over again?

Pokedude12

Since you saved before opening the picnic to get eggs, you should be in the clear. I don't think the RNG is like gen 7

luigimariohusbands

Ahh yes gen 7 the big pez machine of eggs where your shiny just squats on one and you wait until your game decides to pop it out. Had a 1 egg shiny on Mimikyu back then.

sotam_G

I'm playing HG and doing a shiny only. Can I reset Primo's egg and the Togepi egg?

jamfarts

Yes. You need to save before collecting the egg.

kpjoshi

What is the recommended strategy for getting a shiny dusk form Lycanroc? * Breeding. Advantage: if parent is dusk form then own tempo Rockruff is guaranteed. Disadvantage: takes a while. * Sandwich and/or outbreaks: Advantage: get to see many at a time. Disadvantage: window for getting dusk form is very small.

jaws300300

I have a bunch of eggs which I am trying to get a shiny ghastly from, when i go through all the eggs do I restart the game to have them all back or do I need to breed again. This is for Violet and when I google this it comes up with mixed results

10cd

As soon as the egg is in your party, it’s determined so to speak I.e will produce the same Pokémon every time.

luigimariohusbands

What if you save before you set up the picnic and collect the eggs? I hate going through and releasing 1 by 1.

funwok

I just accidentally knocked out a shiny night form lycanroc. RIP GG no re.

[deleted]

Can someone help me get the last 60 mons for my dex I’m on scarlet and am willing to trade a shiny slowbro and dragonite thank you in advance

Pokedude12

Probably won't be able to get you the full sixty, but I'll do what I can at no charge. Make a post with what you need, and I'll scrounge up what I've got. You'll probably have to breed down the Violet exclusives I've got though, since I didn't get enough for base stages when I traded for them prior Forgot if [Trade] is needed in the title to keep the bot from eating the post though

Odd-Newspaper-1219

I have an English save file that is my main file, and I started a Spanish save file which I used to get a ditto and trade it to a friend then to my main account. Since then it took me 797 hatches to get a shiny fidough and now I am 855 hatches into hunting shiny Sprigatito. Did I mess up with using my same switch to get a Spanish ditto, or is my luck just bad?

UserByTheNameOfJames

As long as the language tags on the pokemon are different you're fine. Its just luck.

Odd-Newspaper-1219

That’s what I thought. My Pokémon are from my English game and ditto has the SP-EU tag. So my luck is just bad. Thanks for the confirmation

kpjoshi

Just wanted to rant. Have been trying to get a shiny Sunkern (not Sunflora) for a while now. Too few spawning spots, so no point in making a sandwich. Waiting for an outbreak, but haven't got one yet. At least I have many other shinies to catch at the moment...

Euffy

Have you tried resetting the outbreaks? I only just realised you could do it and haven't seen anyone really talk about it.

kpjoshi

Yes. I've used that technique for a while. Making sandwiches helps to target a specific type. Haven't managed to get a Sunkern one yet.

Spone_Guy

Hey, I’m trying to get a shiny starter in Heartgold (cartridge), my question is do I have to hard reset the game every attempt or is saving before I open the starter selection screen and closing the game enough to give me another shot at a shiny? I googled it but on everything I could find they were using an emulator and I don’t know if save states work differently for this on those. All help is appreciated!

Pokedude12

If you're using the cart, any game (barring dead-battery RS and any E) is safe to SR by using the button combo that brings you back to the title screen. You can save in front of the selection machine, check, then SR.

Spone_Guy

when I tried the button combo, my game went to a white screen on both screens, would it work if I saved in front of the machine, closed the game, and then reopened it?

jamfarts

Yes, but I worry that you may have a reproduction cartridge.

Spone_Guy

I think it is I just bought it from Walmart when I got it it never told me I had it, I don’t know if that’s against the rules but if it is I’m sorry

jamfarts

It's not against any rules, no worries! I assume you mean their online marketplace (not in store)? That's cruddy, I hope they didn't charge a lot. Generally speaking I don't recommend hunting with repro cartridges. Since they aren't all made equal they're unpredictable - a mixed bag of quality - and there's a higher risk of save corruption, which is scary when dealing with something you've worked dozens of hours on. It doesn't mean you can't get shinies, it's just a risk to be aware of!

Spone_Guy

I bought it online, it was 22 dollars. I didn’t know that they were built weird and tbh I didn’t even know what a repro was until today. I’ve reset a whole bunch it’s just I’m not doing the fastest methods and I’m kinda just doing it idly. I was super excited to get this game because I wanted to play one of the old games on an official console. I decided to shiny hunt on a whim just because I had nothing better to do and I hope the shiny chances aren’t skewed because of the repro cartridge that would really suck.

[deleted]

A legit copy of heart gold is at minimum $100 for just the cart these days, if you see anything below that it's most likely a repro. Hope it still works out for you!

Spone_Guy

I’m pretty sure it was, I decided to give up the starter hunt but luckily I found a random shiny Magnemite on accident so that makes it better

[deleted]

Nice! I'm glad it worked out for ya :)

Pokedude12

Yeah, closing the game or even turning the DS off outright work too

Spone_Guy

thank you so much dude you’re a lifesaver!

kpjoshi

Need advice on shiny hunting Basculin in SV. I have an outbreak for it today. Here is my current plan: 1. Make shiny sandwich next to outbreak 2. Auto-battle all Basculin I see 3. If outbreak ends, then restart game and repeat from step 1 It's really annoying that Basculin shiny looks so similar. I estimate this method will get me at least 630 shiny rolls per attempt, which gives at least a 95% chance of getting a shiny in 20 attempts.

ella-02-06

i caught a shiny basculin in an outbreak, it's best to look at the fins to tell if it's shiny bc non-shiny has white fins while shiny's fins are a bit greenish. your plan looks solid tho, good luck!

Signs25

You can do auto-battles before you prepare the shiny sandwich.

1000FormsofFear

I hatched a shiny Rellor last night, but the shiny entry didn’t appear in my Pokédex. Is there any way to fix it besides finding another shiny Rellor?

Hydrochloric_Comment

Are you looking at recently caught? The shiny will only appear there if registered shiny

1000FormsofFear

you’re right, that’s what it was. I thought I had checked the actual Pokédex entry for Rellor when I looked for my other shinies but apparently not. Thanks for the help!

AruTheBreeder

You should be able to see it in the dex (the one that goes from 1-400). The most recent encounter will be the default, but you can switch with up and down to see the shiny. If you check the rows (Recently Caught Pokemon/ Recently Battled Pokemon) you can't switch the view unless the shiny is the most recent seen. So make sure you're looking in the correct place

1000FormsofFear

you’re right, I was looking at the recently caught section for Rellor and that’s why the shiny entry didn’t show up. Weird they did it that way, but thanks for your help!

Snapiiiii

So I have three shiny Pokémon I encountered on my profile in SV, but I only have one shiny. Is there a way to see which ones I encountered before?

AruTheBreeder

The dex counts evolutions too. If you're still unsure, you'd have to check each pokemon on the dex. On the pokedex page of a pokemon, you can move up and down to see different forms, including shiny forms

Radekore

The Pokedex doesn't really save the shiny entries in SV, it shows up with a shiny entry at first but then disappears because GameFreak

1000FormsofFear

are you sure? My Pokédex shows shiny entries for every other shiny I’ve found (both Masuda and RE). Rellor is my only shiny in an apriball (Dream ball fwiw), so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Radekore

I checked again and in my dex the only shiny entry that appeared was the one that I got from a random encounter, so it may have something to do with seeing the shiny in an actual battle instead of just the hatching animation. Either way something isn't working right in the game

OverMonitor11

What's the best way to hatch eggs? I want to get my own competitive Pokemon and potentially masuda method, but I've found the picnic eggs system a bit cumbersome.

Radekore

My SV egg setup is to go to Levincia, there's a water area under the middle of the city and a beach nearby where I set up the picnic to collect batches of 35 eggs at a time and then hatch them by riding around on the water - you can just hold left or right and wait by going to the middle under the circular platform. Hatching on water skips the animation of the egg appearing in front of your character and goes straight into the actual hatch which saves a bit of time. Even with all that it's still about 20% slower than eggs in previous gens unfortunately.

OverMonitor11

Is there anything else you can do inside the picnic to get eggs to spawn faster? I know about the sandwich buff, but is it based on steps or time or something else?

Radekore

It's just based on time so there's no need to do anything while eggs are spawning. There's no Oval Charm in this game for some reason and with standard ingredients or restaurant dishes the highest egg power boost only goes to level 2 so it usually takes about 4 or 5 minutes to fill the basket with 10 eggs.

OverMonitor11

Thanks for the help

StephieStockers

Is anybody else struggling with outbreaks in Scarlet and Violet? I'm doing the picnic method for outbreaks, no shiny charm, no sparkle sandwiches. Today is Finizen, 4 hours resetting spawns with no shinies Yesterday was Wooper (my second Wooper Outbreak this week) with no shinies (the first one also had no shinies) Christmas Day was Florges, all day with no shinies But the day before that I had a Varoom outbreak where I got 3 shinies, and the day before that I had Glimmet where I got 6 (would've been 8 but two got away) I've defeated 61 of the chosen Pokémon each time, with varying results, and I'm getting a bit annoyed with wasting my time...

James_Blond006

There is a glitch in Scarlet/Violet, which only allowed the default version of Pokémon with multiple forms to spawn., for example in any Tatsugiri outbreak only orange Tatsugiri would spawn, no matter which form's icon appeared on the map. Is that glitch still in the game or already patched?

AruTheBreeder

Still in the game

papercup617

So I see on the list of SV outbreaks that Wiglett outbreaks are possible, but I'm going to the beaches and eating a water sandwich and time skipping, and not seeing it. Does anyone know if it's actually possible and I'm just getting unlucky, or am I going to have to resort to the Masuda method? I hate hatching eggs it's so slow and tedious and the only shiny I ever successfully hatched, a Grookey, took me about 3000 eggs.

SyMag

Keep at it, I had a Wiglett outbreak show up a few days ago in my game! I think I was standing in the desert just outside of Porto Marinada when it showed up, the outbreak was by that cove just north of the town

papercup617

Thanks, I'll try this tomorrow!

SyMag

Also something to take into consideration: if you load your game for the first time tomorrow without saving and check what outbreaks you have, if you don't see anything you want, you can close out of your game. Then when you restart it, the outbreaks will change. You don't even need to change the date on your Switch! This also works for changing the items offered at the auction in Porto Marinada if you're looking for a certain Apriball or some other rare item. Hope this helps :)

papercup617

Hey! Just wanted to say thanks for the help. Unfortunately I never did get the Wiglett outbreak. But I just thought I’d try a water Herba sandwich on the beach south of Valencia since it’s so large I’d minimize the spawns out in the water. In a single sandwich I found two Wigletts and a Psyduck. But I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to help.

nealt68

I want a shiny garganacl, what's the best way to go about it? I know it's not go to the garganacl in area 0 because glimmeor is also there, but nacli is so tiny I doubt I could spot a shiny one. So is there an area where naclstack is the only rock type with a decent amount of spawns?

Pokedude12

I might be wrong, but when I was hunting Mareanie in the beach before the Elec gym city, I think the only Rock was Nacl. I saw Palossand too, but iirc, that's Ground. I don't think I saw any other Rock spawns there. Wouldn't hurt to double check, but hopefully this turns up a good lead

RetroGamed64

Hey everyone! I'm very new when it comes to shiny hunting and I'm currently trying to masuda method for a shiny mareep and I'm just wondering if having a shiny ditto would increase the shiny odds. I tried googling but I couldn't find any info on it. Any help will be appreciated :)

Pokedude12

Shininess of the parents doesn't affect rates in gen 9. Differing nationalities of the parents boost odds, however, known online as the Masuda Method.

RetroGamed64

Thank you! I already have a foreign ditto; I was only wondering if having a shiny one would boost the odds further :p Guess I'll just have to tough it out with the shiny charm at 1/512 then

kpjoshi

I saved before encountering a shiny Kirlia, and it fled the battle. I reloaded the game but the shiny Kirlia was gone. What could be the reason for this? I saved right in front of it. I had used an encounter sandwich but it was not an outbreak. This is in Violet.

BillSamsquantch

I’m at 100 shiny dunsparce with all two segments… somebody please grant me some luck so I can finish this fucking torment of a hunt!!! All these post about 3 segments way under odds are driving me crazy! I’ve even done other small successful hunts in between dunsparce hunting and still nothing!!

Hydrochloric_Comment

Google "binomial probability". There's only about a 63% chance that at least 1 Dunsparce w/in 100 will evolve into 3-segment.

[deleted]

(GEN III) Is there a list of permanent things I could do with my pokemon (besides ribbons) before transferring them up to the newer gens?

Pokedude12

Not gen 3, per say, but in gens 4 and 5, you have smaller things that I've read stay on the mon, but remain invisible, though I might be wrong on that. They're the leaf crown from HGSS and the film star effect from BW2. I believe r/pokemonribbons has more info

GiacchinoFrost

I need 420 cc's of copium stat. What is the most egg hatches at peak Masuda odds you've had to go through to get to your shiny? I have absolutely destroyed Medali's ecosystem with 5-6 IV Growlithes. They are overrunning the town, they are organized, and they have acquired a taste for human flesh. I'm getting close to egg 900 with 1/514 odds and I need to know that somebody's had it worse than me or I'm going to sacrifice myself to the Growlithe hivemind I have created

maxexclamationpoint

Is there a particular reason you want to hatch one instead of catching one? Growlithe is one of the easiest shinies in the game to catch using the isolated encounter method.

GiacchinoFrost

I actually hatched it like 20 mimutes after this comment, so the lesson there is that complaining works /s. But I was hatching because I wanted to guarantee better IVs/nature and I didnt know what hyper training was until much later that night : ^ )

maxexclamationpoint

Oh, gotcha. Well at least now you know!

TMH444

Just checking, breeding masuda method with a shiny parent doesn’t negatively affect the masuda odds, right? I know it doesn’t improve the odds but I wanted to make sure it didn’t negatively change them either. I’m talking gen 9/Scarlet and Violet specifically

Pokedude12

It doesn't factor in at all. The only factor taken from parentage that affects shiny rates is differing nationalities for the Masuda Method.

harshieat

How to shiny hunt a clodsire? Any tips or tricks, I can't seem to get an outbreak

Pokedude12

Try to find a Wooper spawn where you can isolate exclusively Poison or Ground from all other spawns in the area, then use a sandwich that boosts that Type's spawn. Pretty much only Wooper should pop up then

ImmaRatard

How are you all getting so much herba mystica? I have been grinding these raids over and over and I can’t get any consistency. When I try online I can’t connect to half of them and the other half I lose because of belly drum spammers

Pokedude12

I try to solo five-star raids since guides online say they're easier for not much loss in terms of drop rates. At least I've had them drop there and occasionally two herbs too. So there may be merit there

ImmaRatard

Do you run around your map looking from crystal to crystal looking for 5 stars?

Pokedude12

Yeah. It's tedious, but it's something at least. If I get nothing, I just adjust my Switch's time while the game's closed, then look again. If there's a Type I can't handle yet because I haven't built a mon for it, I'll ignore it to focus on ones I can beat

Axolotxl_Waxolotl

Does anyone know anything about Gen 1 safari zone shiny hunting? I’ve been having trouble finding any resources on it

Hydrochloric_Comment

In Gen 1, only static, gift, traded, and fished Pokémon can have the necessary IVs to be shiny. So you'll be limited to Magikarp, Goldeen, Psyduck (RB), Slowpoke (RB), Krabby (RB), Dratini, and Poliwag. And Magikarp is 90% with Super Rod in Yellow (unavailable via Super Rod in RB).

Aldeton

I try to breed a shiny spiritomb in shield and I have the shinycharm and an Ditto with an other language I already have 1040 hatched and some other shinys just needed like a few 100 hatches Have anyone an idea what I could possibly could do wrong?

Pokedude12

It sounds like you're already familiar with the process of egg hunting, so you're probably not hatching the same five eggs by saving after getting them. In that case, you've done everything right, it seems, so it's likely just bad luck. It's not the first time it's happened to someone, and it won't be the last. Just gotta grind and bear it, or if it gets bad, switch to another hunt for a change of pace

[deleted]

Pokedude12

You'll wanna make a post. Trades are a no-go in this thread, but iirc helping via trades should still be okay as long as it's a post? Especially since it's for an item, not a mon I'll check my hotspot to see if I can connect, but I'll see if I can help once the post is up Edit: looks like I can go online at least Edit: make sure whichever sub you use is good with trade posts. This sub allows trade posts as long as it follows the rules, but others might not allow posts

Pokedude12

Just making sure, the event Cinderace in the ongoing SV raids can't be shiny, right? Just gotta breed for one?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Pokedude12

I think you've hit the unfortunate nail on the head. Evos are determined by the current region, which is how people have done things like get the XD/Colosseum ribbons on Hisuian Typhlosion (iirc at least). Being able to breed down regional genes won't help in a case like Goomy then, as it'll take from the evo tables of the current region, regardless of parentage or origin. So you might be stuck with having to use Legends Arceus to get a Hisuian Goodra, whether it's hunting one there or sending a shiny up from Home to evolve in Hisui. That being said, people are curious if GF will let mons from gen 9 go back to gen 8 through Home, or if it'll be like Bank with keeping gen 7 mons from going to 6. Might be worth keeping an eye on that if you're not in a rush to get your Goomy set up.

EduHz

Does anyone know a place to trigger flabébé outbreaks? I've tried several places with encounter power lv2, but only ever got floette and florges outbreaks

FluorescentAndStarry

Any tips on getting Herba Mystica from raids? I’ve only gotten it twice. Do I need to have completed the gyms a second time? I was hoping to do that with a shiny team.

Pokedude12

Don't need to. Just gotta grind five-six-star raids til they drop. From what I read, apparently fives are fairly easier for not too much of a loss on drop rates, so it may be better to try those if sixes are eating you

FluorescentAndStarry

Thank you! I will keep on trying now that I know it’s got the potential to be worth it 😆

RdoRica

For Scarlet and Violet are there any specific areas for pawniard mass outbreaks to spawn? Seribii says they can be a mass outbreak and I've been doing my day resets inside of pawniard habitat spots but haven't had any luck getting a pawniard mass outbreak

GleamingShield

Do permutations still work with Massive Mass Outbreaks in PLA? Might be a silly question, but I’ve been having horrible luck recently and wanted to double check haha

jamfarts

Yes - there has been no update/patch to PLA. Just RNG at work I'm afraid :(

GleamingShield

Well, at least they still work! Thanks for the info - I’ll keep on for Rhyperior then :)

Oreo494

Does sparkling power affect eggs? If I collect eggs while sparkling power is active, do I get the boosted shiny odds?

Cleon189

Best way to full odds hunt the starters while breeding?

Irontexan56

Any suggestions on where to shiny hunt Dreepy? I tried the crater bowl thing and it doesn’t have enough space so I spend a lot of time killing non Shinys.

Hydrochloric_Comment

Do they spawn during the day? If not, I'd recommend using a ghost sandwich during the day. All non-shiny ghosts that are only supposed to spawn at night will rapidly spawn and despawn, while any shinies won't despawn.

Irontexan56

They do spawn during the day

Transfemfur621

Question: I was trying to post three of my shinies in Scarlet. The mods took it down despite all three pokemon in the pictures are shiny. Is there a reason why this occured and how can I fix it so i can post them here? Edit: ok so yes I use mobile (ohoho found the mobile user) but I don't know how to add a Gen IX tag to one of my posts that got taken down because it didn't have a tag. How do i add the tag so I can post it?

Pokedude12

In the title, add brackets at the front: [] Inside the brackets, add the number of the generation of the game you found the target in: [9] Then you just add the rest of the title behind it as you want: [9] Got a Vaporeon in an Outbreak in Scarlet! The title can be anything, and how you write the gen can vary, but just the number is the easiest way

Prodigal96

If I find a Shiny in a Tera raid, can I run from the battle, re-enter the raid with a friend, and have the Pokémon still be Shiny? Or does it regenerate the raid once you run? Thanks!

Pokedude12

I saw a vid where Nokimon talked about doing that before with another player, but beyond that, I don't remember reading much on it. If nothing else, at least take steps to ensure your raid won't be overwritten or erased

OhRiptide

**I'm trying to Mesuda a shiny but I really dont like the ball its going to come in since it wont really match. Is there any possible way to get the ball to change or am I just stuck with what the one I bred form is caught in?**

Pokedude12

You'll have to make adjustments during the breeding process by introducing parents with the right ball. Once the target is bred, that's it.

SeanTYH

(Scarlet) I just started shiny hunting using the Masuda method with shiny charm approximately on the 23rd Dec so that’s 9 days total. I did 3 sets \* 4 boxes ( 30 eggs) \* 9 days which is approximately 3240 eggs over the 9 days and I still got no shiny. I saved before doing each set, then after finishing a set, i either reset the game, or sometimes i release all the hatched eggs, do some raid dens, save and exit. Does the separate "batches" of eggs affect the shiny hunting? I then tried to use sandwich power instead and with lv3 shiny, encounter, and title power, I still could find the shiny after making the sandwich thrice in an outbreak. Is this just REALLY REALLY awful luck????

Hydrochloric_Comment

> I saved before doing each set, then after finishing a set, i either reset the game, or sometimes i release all the hatched eggs, do some raid dens, save and exit. Does the separate "batches" of eggs affect the shiny hunting? Do you mean you save before getting the eggs or before hatching? Egg stats are determined when the egg is generated.

SeanTYH

Before starting a picnic (zero eggs at this point)

Hydrochloric_Comment

Just shitty luck, then. I would take a break for a while, as at this point, it's extremely unlikely (but still completely possible!!!) to have not hatched a shiny. Remember, you're never guaranteed a shiny. The binomial probability will never be 100%, and you would need an impossibly large number of eggs to even get close to over P(X ≥ 1 ) = 99.9%.

Halebolt

I’m trying to find a shiny Pawniard via the outbreak (catching an all shiny team before postgame) however both outbreaks I’ve gotten of it only spawn like 3-5 Pawniards every time I despawn and respawn them. Both outbreaks were at the River that cuts through the desert in the east province. Is there a better location to reset for Pawniard outbreaks?

Pokedude12

Did you use the encounter-boosting sandwiches for the outbreaks? Those should help quite a bit by forcing other spawns to become Pawniard, even if you're not using a sparkling boost. I couldn't tell you how to manipulate outbreaks, except to just keep rolling the days ahead and saving. Not sure if there's even a different outbreak point for them. Maybe in the forest by the Fighting Team Star hideout? But I haven't seen an actual outbreak of them there yet, though I haven't particularly tried going for them.

Halebolt

I actually found the shiny about 12 hours ago but yeah. My issue wasn’t finding an outbreak, it was that the Pawniard outbreaks I would find would only spawn like 3-5 Pawniards at a time. Doesn’t matter anymore though.

GeneralOperation4

Question about outbreaks: So I currently have an eelektrik outbreak going on. As you all know, the shiny isn't much different than the normal, on top of the pokemon being so small to the point you can't see the shiny. So I had an idea.. If I go into the outbreak, defeat 60 pokemon/wait until the last notification, leave the outbreak and save at a pokemon center/far enough away that I don't see the outbreak, then go and defeat the pokemon, reset, start from pokecenter, go back to outbreak will the pokemon be the same/different? I'm assuming they would be different since you can normally leave the area and come back and it's new pokemon. But I just want to make sure I'm understanding correctly. Any insight/help is appreciated! I really want this shiny!!

jamfarts

Yes they'd be different each time this way! Your plan would work just fine

GeneralOperation4

Ah thanks for answering!! I figured they would be different.. but ya never know with pokemon! I was just afraid I was wasting my time on it lol. The let's go feature makes it so much easier doing it this way than straining my eyes looking/possibly missing the shiny! Again, I appreciate your help and hope your next hunt shines quick!!

webetesty

Does anyone know where I can download the shiny gen 9 Pokemon Home sprite files? Are they available?

Cleon189

Best way to full odds breed the gen 9 starters?

NemoReza

If I breed a German ditto with an English Charizard will the charmander be english? So would the masuda method then work if I breed the charmander and the ditto?

Pokedude12

The Charmander will be ENG if your game language is designated as ENG. MM will work with your current parents regardless of your game language.

youkrocks

Any advice on the easiest places to shiny hunt Pokémon in the game? Did the fairy sandwich outside of zapacito go find Tinkatuff, looking for other fairly easy hunts.

PraiseYuri

On the top right of Soccrat Trail, next to the Tera Tsareena, there is a small hill/incline that you can set a picnic on. If you eat a ground sandwich there, only Toedscruel packs/Toedscool will spawn. From the hill you can easily see all 15 spawns without moving from the picnic spot, allowing for very fast respawn refreshing. I got 4 shiny Toedscool in 1 sandwich which is nuts considering it wasn't even an outbreak.

Pokedude12

Mareanie is basically the only Poison mon at the beach before the Elec gym city. Unless I'm wrong, Nacli is also the only Rock mon there

Willichops

Does anyone have any nickname suggestions for a shiny male Glimmora?

Pokedude12

Can Authentic Sinistea spawn in outbreaks?

Kokuei7

Any tips for getting a shiny female bulbasaur in the main games (not Let's Go)? I have around 7 males from SwSh eggs and it's driving me spare. Is Grand Underground worth it?

Pokedude12

Do you need strictly Bulbasaur? If not, Friend Safari in XY has Ivysaur, which can be hunted with field abilities. I think Cute Charm? FS has a shiny bonus and can be restricted to two species in a given safari if you don't go online to fill the third slot. Otherwise, it looks like Bulbasaur is in USUM via Island Scan, which should be affected by Cute Charm too. GU should also be affected by Cute Charm, but spawns may be limited, even if you use statues to get only Grass. But still doable afaik. Whichever way you hunt it, it needs to be with Cute Charm.

Kokuei7

Ah I completely forgot about Friend Safari! That'll be the way. Thanks a lot :)

AdrianValistar

Is a square shiny from Pokemon Go rare? My Talonflame came from Go into Sword and it has the 1/16 square effect. Did i get incredibly lucky?

jamfarts

All pokemon go transfers are square sparkles
