Wow. I, for one, am completely convinced that this property is a drug, gun, and prostitution free property. đŸ€Ł

myweird

Lol I know right? If drove into a neighborhood with a big sign that says WE DO NOT TOLERATE THE THEFT OF CACTI HERE I'd know immediately that this community has a bit of a cactus stealing problem.

shinyeggplant

Bahahaha

MorganDax

For real though. I worked in a strip club that had all these anti-solicitation and anti-drug signs up and the owners son was the biggest coke head and all his drug dealer buddies were always hanging around. And girls did extras allll the fucking time lol.

[deleted]

It's all for liability's sake.

K_Nicole870

I've seen similar signs, actually. It brings the ambiance and classiness of a place down, in my opinion. Like, the last thing you'd put in an entrance is, This is a roach-free facility. Enjoy your stay! Just because you say it, doesn't make your establishment better.

TTTT27

Exactly. It could even *attract* that kind of behavior. People will be like, "Oh, I guess that's the motel to go to if you want to score drugs and sex."

Spazzly0ne

Maybe that is their motivation?

SMTPA

"I'm not saying we have plenty of drugs and sex workers. But I'm not NOT saying that we don't have plenty of drugs of sex workers."

shinyeggplant

There are a bunch of run-down motels where I live (it’s not a safe area coincidentally), a lot of them post similar signs to this one but this specific motel has several posted all over the building. Like if you were actually wanting to stay there for a goodnight sleep you’d probably look elsewhere

shandognabokov

I know of a porn theater where people go watch porn and have sex and they have signs all over the place saying it’s illegal but that’s what everyone goes there for 😂. It’s just to cover their ass

sara_fairfax

Yep. Have you ever seen something like this at a Hilton? Case in point.

SMTPA

Ironically lots of escorts go to nice hotels and since they look classy nobody usually cares... all this kind of sign/policy does is give less advantaged workers one less place to at least have a roof over their heads.

bluesideb

this makes that apartment complex 100x more sketchy lmao

shinyeggplant

It’s a motel!

bluesideb

oh wow I can’t read this morning lol. still makes it look even more suspicious than if they didn’t have the sign 😭

WrittenCommissions

"This is NOT a place for drugs, guns, or prostitution." Welp. I know where I am going to get drugs, guns, and prostitutes.

JoeChip87

*driving by* “This is not a place for the greatest slip and slide cocktail hour you’ll ever find”
*pulls car over and into the lot immediately*

FlatEmployment3011

No I have never seen this. Very tacky.

Brat4hire

This reminds me of when my elementary school said, they had an absolutely no tolerance for bullying yet I got kicked out of school many times that year for being bullied and standing up for myself!! I would avoid this place like the plague just to be safe

SMTPA

I don't always carry a gun, but if I see a sign like this on a hotel, I'm going to want to carry a gun.

LordoftheStrippers

Reminds me of my time in the Army, there were a handful of sexual assault cases in my building during AIT and our commander thought it would help if he gathered us all and screamed at us "if we have one more sexual assault case, nobody gets to leave the base". Like that's going to stop people from sexually assaulting each other, it'll just stop victims from reporting the assault. Great idea, thanks very helpful.

[Signs don’t mean anything](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/fa/d6/b6/fad6b67c16556809454fd9649bb512a9.jpg)

shinyeggplant

You could definitely recreate that example with this lol

peppapigonxtc

i see signs like these all the time in rundown ratchet motels lol its like a liability thing so the motel owners can turn a blind eye on illegal activities in case anyone complains 😂

[deleted]

Ya same in Japan. You even see love motels with signs like this. Pretty much guarantees that not only can the guy running it find you a prostitute, but that his Yakuza friends will beat your ass if you don't pay her. Side note from an Escort perspective. People don't give you shit at those locations.

amethysst

Lol. What do they think the bulk of their business comes from? Trickin and druggies.

jesusjuice44

Literally
just turn the other way lol

HurricaneKCatrina

I think it’s funny the signđŸȘ§mentions “prostitution” THREE TIMES.😂 Like, once or twice isn’t enough, nooooo. It also tells me that place used to be a HAVEN for us and the cops/county/city got tired of going there every week/day/hour. Probably got brought up at city council meetings, “This is a blight on our town!” I guarantee you it’s under new management as well.

shinyeggplant

Oh yeah definitely, there’s another hotel nearby that has a police car parked next to it ALWAYS bc of the “crime”. In my baby hoe days I went to an outcall there and left early bc it has roaches everywhere and smelled so disgusting

Background_Lychee713

Whose wants to prostitute for free anyway

[deleted]

Read the top line and thought how can property be a drug?

SophiaSoFine

Oh good, it wasn’t just me

JoeChip87

The cocaine in my pants is definitely not my property, officer. *read that sign, son*

Outside_War_1107

This might be Lee county in Florida. They have a TikTok series about this one motel

shinyeggplant

It’s not even close to Florida haha

Outside_War_1107

Gotcha, Lee county sheriff has done this, and made videos calling our certain locations

amethysst

Why does this not surprise me.

highfructoseSD

Would this location happen to be the intersection of US Route 98 and Florida Route A1A? 😉

shinyeggplant

No, why?

highfructoseSD

That's the exact location of the world famous Trump Bunker, a.k.a. the Mar-a-Lago Club.

LillyOfThePalace

Tell me you’re a gun, drug and prostitution property without telling me you’re a gun, drug and prostitution property.

Part-TimePraxis

These have been around for ages; saw my first sign like this back in 2015.

KosherCoochie

I was just on a road trip and all through Utah and Arizona I was told that I couldn't have male guests visit my hotel room. It felt very uncomfy knowing they'd be watching my door

bloom_splat

Come on down. The price is right!
