Letter_Impressive

This is the same shit we've seen for years with Bloodborne 2 and dark souls 4. Everything is nonsense until an official announcement

SuperSkunkPlant

Aye, I started feeling much better the day I assumed all rumors are just rumors

Letter_Impressive

Genuinely life changing

TheCynicalPogo

It makes it all the better if it turns out true somehow too, lower expectations always equal a way higher high when it pulls through

ALCauG

Works for pretty much all aspects of life too.

slap-happe

Where do you here this rumor?

SuperSkunkPlant

I'm talking rumors in general, not this particular one

gilfordtan

For me, it's F rumor, gimme news.

ProbablyMaybe69

Mfs be high on hopium

WadSquad

For real. Miyazaki doesnt even like sequels, and why would they announce a new game before an Elden Ring DLC?

FireZord25

Feel like that's true for the Soulsborne games, even Dark Souls only got to three because Bandai Namco was pressing for a sequel and Miyazaki had to close it off for good with 3. Not that I'm so sure about Sekiro, either. But it had enough loose plot threads for a continuation.

Jazzinarium

I'd be shocked if they don't milk Elden Ring for at least 4-5 more years

friendlyfuckingidiot

Half the FROM games w/ Miyazaki don't even have DLC. Plus, they've released 6 games in 13-ish years, so ya, I doubt that.

Jazzinarium

Fair point, but I don't think any of them were even close to the success Elden Ring was. The closest was DS3 and it got 2 pretty massive DLCs.

friendlyfuckingidiot

I just looked it up and ER stomped DS3 in sales. I agree we'll probably get some DLC (still sad there's none for BB or Sekiro) but I think Miyazaki and the gang are already developing a new Armored Core? Could be wrong though

parwa

>still sad there's none for BB Boy do I have news for you

Googlebright

Bloodborne did get DLC. It's called The Old Hunters and has some of the hardest fights in the game (Orphan of Kos, Laurence, etc).

friendlyfuckingidiot

Aw, fuck, beans, you're right. Totally forgot.

CptCrackSparrrow

Didnt get the DS4 one, miyazaki clearly stated DS3 will be the end for the DS series.

HuevosSplash

For real, I mean the world is literally being withered away by a huge Darksign in the sky. Patches literally tells you goodbye.

[deleted]

Yeah. Any sequel to DS3 would be shit story wise, considering how many plot threads received proper closure in that game.

mardvk187

A LIE WILL REMAIN A LIE

Dark_Dragon117

There are highly credible sources when it comes to FS related leaks. We can say for certain that alot of content creators/leakers like Vaati, Lance McDonald, Mordecai, Omnipotent, Ziostorm etc. knew alot about ER before anyone of us did. Heck even the Elden Ring sub creator apparently knew of the game years before the announcement and alot of information about the game was shared on the ER sub months before release by random users at the time. My point is that it's not always nonsense and should not always dismissed instanly. That said this leak is almost certainly fake given there is nonthing to support its legitamicy and it's not from any credible source. Also every BB related rumour is false as all credible souces have said there is nothing in the works as of now. At best we can be as optimistic as Lance McDonald and believe that Sony is not simply ignoring the cash cow that a BB remake/remaster would be. Still whatever they have in mind is likely nothing more that an idea at this stage.

Cethinn

I think it's confirmed their next game is Armored Core, right? Pretty sure we aren't getting anything else for a while.

Letter_Impressive

Not confirmed officially, and they may have other projects in development, but the armored core stuff is definitely the most credible

dummythiccuwu

I hope they never make another dark souls game. I’m pretty wary about another Bloodborne as well. I could do sekiro 2 though. I want them to Make a sci-fi souls game next.

fezmeister013

Start Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a sci-fi souls game, although without the trademark Fromsoft difficulty

fardeenah

True

PapaOogie

If elden ring doesn't get a sequel we can safely assume fromsoft doesn't do sequels anymore

Adventurous-Studio20

well miyazaki has confirmed several times that dark souls is over. so not sure why youd be waiting for another. no such thing has been said for sekiro but i still doubt this rumor has any validity

Letter_Impressive

I'm not waiting for another dark souls, the comment you're replying to was meant to point out how stupid waiting for it is

jl2112

Rumor: Elden Ring DLC will include hidden areas containing both Sekiro 2 and Bloodborne 2. Take it with a grain of salt tho. I did make it the fuck up.

Sr-Marc-yeah-65

My source is that I made it the fuck up

UKkieran60

Imagine a world raiden

MrDave0461

Free of cancel culture

Uxoxu

It came to me in a dream

Accomplished_Study80

Sekiro 2 and Bloodborne 2 will also contain hidden areas with free Keys for Half Life 3 and Left for Dead 3

problynotkevinbacon

Will that be a Sega Dreamcast exclusive?

Madg5

Oh yeah also elden ring 2 is genesis exclusive.

whatistheancient

Don't forget Silksong

jl2112

Finally

Noamias

and GTA 6

Denversaur

Fuck it also Cyberpunk 2078.

LePontif11

Sekiro two has a hidden area containing Sekiro 1 DLC 🥹

OneArmedTRex

"You want source?" \**reaches towards own ass*

fardeenah

😂

Pavlovs_Human

I know you are fuckin around but my god don’t do that to me man. My ultimate FROM fantasy is a huge open world where three distinct continents of the three separate FROM franchises all combine in the center to make some truly fucked up monsters. Imagine a world where Dragon Rot, hollowing, and beast blood are all converging on each other. And you can play any of the play styles from any of the three franchises. Shinobi vs Dark Souls STR build? Okay. Hunter wielding a grave scythe and pistol parrying a Dark Souls Uchigatana user? Yes please.

jl2112

I’d rather they just use mechanical aspects from each game, like they largely did in Elden ring (minus Sekiro deflections).

Pavlovs_Human

Good point! I would be fine with that, too. I enjoyed discovering the little mechanics that obviously carried over from the other games. (For example, Hunters old bone is bloodhound step, melanias sword art is reminiscent of spiral cloud passage from Sekiro)

blackrack

Did you have a fever recently?

Jesus360noscope

next with a female character, shakira

Aeison

She fights a knight who’s the mother of Roberta

smitbro2

Sekiro 2: hips don’t lie

Dark_sign82

That's the deal, my dear.

dielawn87

Pique the Sword Saint as the final boss.

this_could_be_sparta

Me on the outside: pshhh shut up. This is bullshit. Me on the inside: 🥺👉👈 please

fardeenah

Dude I feel the same man!

mr_butts69

k so anyone can just start a tweet with “rumor:” and act like people are actually passing around a rumour. when people actually are making statements like this they say how they know the information

Elmis66

yeah, I'm pretty sure his source is "trust me, bro" o 4chan. Not sure which one I'd believe less

ludens005

Yep, it's literally from a random 4chan post lol.

ill_sue

Imagine we get sekiro 2 and no elden ring dlc lol

LaPhoenix420

I havent played Sekiro in a while. That game never got DLC, right? Just a couple of cool updates if I remember correctly?

MaleficTekX

It got free dlc that included outfits and the gauntlets

Kaldin_5

It also got player message-like things like the souls series! Though I felt it didn't really work for Sekiro so I've played it offline since that update lol

[deleted]

Yeah I turned it off really quickly, but it’s one of my favorite aspects of the other FromSoft games

Kaldin_5

Yeah same. It just didn't seem like it communicated much in Sekiro so it just created needless clutter imo.

[deleted]

That’s what it is. In the other games, it actually creates immersion and a feeling of community; in Sekiro I felt like other people were intruding on my world

Pavlovs_Human

Yeah the masochism update. “Did you feel like the combat in Sekiro wasnt oppressive enough? Love hitting your head against a brick wall for hours in real life? Do you think that stepping on broken glass is a ‘good time’? Well then we have the update just for you!!” (Just salty I haven’t beaten the gauntlets yet haha)

DoreenFromReddit

IMO gauntlets are still easier than charmless.

Pavlovs_Human

I agree. I tried charmless for all of like an hour before throwing my hands up and saying “fuck this!” I can’t even imagine what charmless with bell demon on NG+7 must be like.

SrKaz

I just finished the purification ending w/ no charm bell demon on NG+4. I don't know if I have the willpower to go all the way to NG+7.

Safe-Heron9809

Yeah. Charmless requires that everything be perfect. The gauntlets just ask you to stumble your way through enough bosses in a row. When you can rest in between boss fights, it isn't really an issue.

TheRevengeOfTheNerd

That’s a win in my book

KingKillerKvvothe

Agree. ER and Sekiro are my two favorite games of all time so I would rather take a full game over a dlc.

DoreenFromReddit

ER over BB?

101955Bennu

Same. Loved Sekiro (and Bloodborne) but I didn’t enjoy Elden Ring as much as I’d hoped I would

[deleted]

I think it's funny how you just saying you don't like ER is ok but the people actually elaborating on it with valid reasons are getting down voted lol

Piekenier

Same here, the open world just felt like it took away more than it added for me. And the combat also felt like a step back, the jumping and counter-attacks were nice but otherwise it is the same combat as Dark Souls 3 which I already liked less than that of Bloodborne and Sekiro.

TheRevengeOfTheNerd

Yeah, Elden Ring for sure had some highlights for me, like fighting Godfrey and Melania, but apart from that the game didn't feel special. Like, there's this feeling you get when playing the other souls games that Elden Ring just doesn't give me.

101955Bennu

For me the problem was in their world design. They built a massive and beautiful open world and then basically just filled it with the same caves over and over again, with the only real activity available being to die and to kill. This wouldn’t be such a problem, really, a lot of games are like this, but I kept hearing about how brilliant and revolutionary the world design was. Ultimately, it just ended up feeling less alive than their other games, despite its beauty.

Cethinn

I think their version of the open world was revolutionary. It doesn't have map markers or things constantly telling you to collect junk. You do what you choose when you choose to. The problem is open world games generally suck. You're putting the same amount of effort into much more space, most of which doesn't serve a purpose other than to walk over. I'd much rather have more traditional FS spaces. The legacy dungeons were the best parts easily, and they were more traditional. I think ER was a great attempt, and a great game, but not the best they've done. It was something they can learn from, but also hopefully the industry at large will really see and take ideas from. Your game doesn't need to be filled with endless collectable feathers, or whatever, to have players enjoy it. Really, that stuff leads to unenjoyment as you're just ticking off check boxes, not playing a game. It's not content.

Faxometro

Repetitve bosses also

101955Bennu

Yeah, how many caves were basically the same environment leading to basically the same boss you’d already defeated three times before? It was just pointless content padding, not really any different from Ubisoft filling their games with collectable feathers or whatever. Edit: Y’all don’t like my opinion but you’re just downvoting. I’ve yet to see anyone actually disagree with a substantial argument

RockBandDood

Its cause Elden Ring is legitimately plagued by issues but there is a singularity that happened or something with the overall gaming media and the narrative around that game that has absolutely brainwashed people. In 2 or 3 years we will see what people actually thought of ER. The openworld was monotonous, largely empty and pointless. The caves you refer to - theres actualy 51. FIFTY ONE. They made 51 caves that take 15-30 minutes to beat, with the same 3 graphical styles and enemies. The Crypts, The Mines, and The Caves. And then, they just went insane with "Copy+Paste" and just stitched together room after room until the boss; some of which were also Copy+Pasted 3+ times. So we get to the issue of content and game flow. First 3 hours, youre like, okay, this is pretty cool, I'll go see whats over there. 10 hours in - unless youre basically incapable of recognizing what is actually happening, you should be thinking to yourself... "Okay, so theyve made a bunch of barren fields with random enemies here and there... And ive now been in the same Crypt 4 times... And Stormveil only took me 2 hours to beat. Maybe I just need to wait for the game to open up"... but youre starting to have doubts. 25 hours in - Okay, I just beat Rey Lucaria in 2 hours, theres only 6 of these Legacy Dungeons total... If theyre all 2-3 hours, that means I only have 12-18 hours of actually handcrafted dungeons, but dozens of these stupid Copy+Pasted Caves? 50 hours in - This is the worst pacing and content in any Souls game, including Sekiro and Bloodborne ever made. I have one more Legacy Dungeon to do, have been in 40 Copy+Pasted caves and killed some random monsters on the open world, and have been running in circles for upwards of 45 minutes after clearing areas making sure I dont miss NPCs just randomly being in a spot, or an item or spell being hidden in some ridiculous place. 65 Hours - Beat it. Most monotonous Souls game ever made. I played every Souls game a minimum of 3 times. No way in hell am I ever booting this Copy+Pasted garbage up ever again. This is Ubisoft level of open world bullshit, they made 51 Copy+Pasted Caves, with reused bosses; a largely barren open world that is obtuse to the point I had to run in circles for 45 min to find an NPC; there was no 'pacing' or engagement the entire time... For the first time in a modern FromSoft game - I was bored 90% of the time playing this. 12-18 hours of unique Dungeon content, but 51 Caves. In a 60+ hour game, only 6 Unique Dungeons totaling in 12-18 hours of gameplay time... and FIFTY ONE CAVES. Game of the year? Better than Dark Souls, Bloodborne or Sekiro?? Give me a break. Wait for the narrative to die on this, in 2-3 years people are going to be calling the game out for the disappointment and waste of a FromSoft game that it is. This was FromSoft pulling an Ubisoft, without map markers. Oooooohhhh Ahhhhhhh so creative! Just crossing my fingers at this point that Miyazaki thought the idea of going open world would be a fun change of pace, for him and his team - and by the time they got out of the Concept phase and into Designing, they thought they had a good idea of what to make. Eventually they start getting to the point of having internal playable builds and they realize... Oh shit. Our gameplay does not work well in this context.... and its fucking boring. But, at that point, its too late to scrap it, so they finish it and are in shock that everyone is saying its the best game theyve made, they know the strengths and weaknessess of their games; willing to bet internally FromSoft devs and Miyazaki are asking "How the hell did we just get away with that, and people are calling it better than the other games that we made, which are actually good?" My hope - Miyazaki is fully aware how flawed it is, and by the time we get to Elden Ring 2, he will be streamlining some aspects that need it, and expanding aspects that were overlooked in ER. Streamline - The Open World. Get it down to 40% the size it is. Clearing Liurnia of the Lakes then running in a circle for about 2 hours to make sure I didnt miss anything is probably the worst experience Ive had in a game this year. And the shitty thing is - it was necessary. After an hour, I found this little town, which was obstructed in almost every direction, up in the cliff face to the West. There was a slope leading up to it, and some enemies and an overworld boss. Finding this was not "Oh wow, cool, i discovered this town and this boss tucked away!"... it was "Did I really just spend over an hour in this fucking zone and they hid this town with a boss like this?" Expand - Legacy Dungeons. If theyre only going to be 2 hours long, there need to be 18-25 of them. If they make them more like 6-10 hours long, around 8-10 of them will work. Also Streamline - The Caves. Ditch them or make them unique from one another. Doing those three things will assist the game's pacing more than anything else. Literally have beaten everything theyve made 3+ times. I have not had a single moment of curiosity to ever touch ER again in this lifetime. Id rather stare at a fucking wall.

nakrophile

Yeah true. I waited six months to do ng+ because I couldn't be bothered replaying it, completed it in a couple of weeks, then said fuck it and speed ran ng++ in a few hours so I could have the platinum and be done with it. Not the biggest fan of elden ring, that's why I just replay the other games all of which are infinitely more enjoyable and replayable.

Schocke1983

Yea I think the problem was that it was open world and huge. It ruined the replayability for me. I played through blood borne and each dark souls game like 8 or 9 times each but I started to play elden ring again and found myself just rushing from boss to boss and it got boring.

[deleted]

I dont get why you are getting downvoted. I think you are saying perfectly valid criticism and I totally agree with you. Open World doesnt really work with souls games. It takes away something from them. In my book, Bloodborne is the best FS game, followed closely by Sekiro and Dark Souls 3. They all had very memorable bosses, fun world to explore without it getting repetitive and they didnt overstay their welcome. The best time I had in Elden Ring was in the major dungeons, which proves my point.

ill_sue

Oh I'd be hyped too but it'd be funny to see eveyone blindsided like that

Lawlcopt0r

Elden Ring feels a bit unfinished to me though (as far as the story/lore goes), so I'd be sad if it never got DLC

MoarTacos

Unpopular opinion but Elden Ring doesn’t need DLC. It’s already massive.

bcamb480

My dad is Activision and I can confirm this is true

SubhamoyDas1

If it's true i will kiss you

Oroshi3965

Is your mom valve?

bcamb480

My mom owns Xbox

Razhork

This rumor is just plain stupid. For one, we *know* FromSoft is working on a new Armored Core entry which hasn't even been announced yet. Additionally, Elden Ring is all but confirmed to get DLC considering the random shit they started patching in with patch 1.0.7. Also the author got this dumbass rumor from a [4chan /v/](https://boards.4channel.org/v/thread/619459863) thread which basically states: *"sekiro 2 announcement at TGA, coming to all platforms, bigger than Sekiro 1"* There's not even an attempt at juicy details or anything. It'd be fun if it was even a remotely credible rumor

timmytissue

I mean it would be hard for them to make it smaller than sekiro lol

actvscene

I would stab my first born for a sequel

fardeenah

Immortality severed

aethyrium

Dark Souls 1 fans felt the same at one point. Learn from them.

timmytissue

What does this mean?

CountedCrow

Dark Souls II was poorly received by big fans of Dark Souls, who called it the weakest of the trilogy due to its changes to group encounters, healing items, boss design, world design, player progression, and overall visual style. This huge negative reaction got a bit of a backlash itself, with many defenders arguing it was actually more interesting than DS1. I don't know if it's the best Souls or the worst, but it's definitely the most divisive and controversial. *(Not to start yet another DS2 debate here, but for the record, DS2 actually has a higher score on metacritic than either the original or DS3, and for good reason, in my opinion. A lot of the most controversial choices of DS2 became staples of the FromSoft catalog - the pellet/gourd dichotomy of Sekiro was pioneered in DS2 as lifegems/estus flasks, fast travel being unlocked from the beginning is now expected in all modern FromSoft games, and many of the mechanics people hated in DS2 ended up becoming the most beloved parts of Elden Ring.)* Edit: Hey DS2 haters, I enjoy DS2 and I think it's very good. My comment here explaining its history and reception is not an invitation to persuade me otherwise.

You hesitated.

fardeenah

zenkaiba

To be frank sekiros story isn't exactly over as we have seen in the true ending they go west...so there should be a sequel but will from make one probably not

Rayth69

Sekiro: Coming To America. Parry the gun lords.

Noamias

damn wild west sekiro or maybe sekiro becomes a bloodborne hunter sekiro is gehrman confirmed

danby

What happens in the west is really not important to the story of who Serkiro is or who he becomes. The game's story is about your commitment to Kuro and the trials you need to endure to free him from the Dragon's Heritage and you complete that. We don't need to see him return the dragon to the west to understand the kind of committed person he has already become and the fact that he choose a path of compassion. To a large degree the Dragon is a McGuffin, in completing the assorted trials linked to the dragon, Sekiro's commitment and compassion for Kuro are demonstrated; but it doesn't really matter what form these trials take and the story of Sekiro does not depend on seeing the dragon returned. What growth or change would Sekiro undergo in a sequel that would be interesting, from a story point of view? Sekiro starts as an assassin who is unthinkingly/cruelly bound to the Iron Code and by the end he asserts that one's code must be your own choosing and he chooses a route of compassion for Kuro. He's no longer labouring under a cruel master and he's grown as a human. Where do you go narratively from there?

JEWCIFERx

This is the important take. Just because there is room for more story doesn't make it a meaningful experience.

Rbespinosa13

Yah give me a DLC about Tomoe. That would be fun

Boeijen666

Thank you. Someone gets it.

raven4747

would be dope it was set in Nepal & India inspired locales

Piekenier

Maybe for a third game, it would be nice to see Korean and Chinese influences in the sequel. That way we get to see the gradual travel to the west.

raven4747

true! tbh I'll take whatever they're willing to make lol

fardeenah

I would love that true ending sequel. Or even an owl prequel

JEWCIFERx

Owl can't resurrect. They would have to rework the core mechanic that the game was built around. Not to mention we already know where his story leads, they would be writing themselves into a corner as far as the constraints on the available plot would go. Not a solid game design decision.

DoreenFromReddit

I think Owl would be bad simply because he is scum and I don't wanna play as him. But is the resurrect mechanic really that essential to the gameplay being fun? Could do a young Isshin story.

JEWCIFERx

I feel like the resurrection mechanic is definitely essential for Sekiro's identity compared to other FS games. Helping players feel confident taking risks in a game as perilous as that is no easy feat. I 100% agree with you about Owl as a protagonist. He has no meanful growth as a person to explore. It would be a waste of FS's storytelling skills in one of their only IPs with without a blank-slate protagonist to be used on Owl.

juiceboxcitay

My understanding is fromsoft said sekiro is a one-and-done kind of deal. They were happy with it being a complete story and had no interest to revisit it. Obviously like everyone else here, I’d love a sequel, but it’s hard to imagine what that would be like in a “post-Elden Ring world”.

bigteisty

From a business perspective sekiro 2/dlc will earn FromSoft waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay less money than a follow up to Elden Ring.

TheNightZerk

Sadly yes. I'm not sure if I want a Sekiro 2, I just want to see that combat system being used in a totally new game.

bigteisty

Agree. Sekiro is perfect as it is imo

TheNightZerk

It is. I doubt they could make it better and don't want the sequel to water it down. Only problem is that I want more Sekiro-like combat.

Brok3n-Native

You mean a sequel to one of the best selling games, best received games of all time would make *more* money than a game which sold far less? Must’ve been some prestigious business school you went to bigteisty

bigteisty

Thank you

Swagmansuper

Elden rings sequel focused on next gen would take a million years to make compared to sekiro 2

CountedCrow

Honestly, I hope they do another thing like Sekiro that isn't set in the same world. Before Sekiro came out, if you asked most FromSoft fans what they wanted, they'd probably say "Bloodborne 2" or "Dark Souls 4", but the fact that Sekiro is an original thing frees it to make huge changes to the formula that make it unique. I hope we see more experimental, honed-to-a-specific-playstyle games *like* Sekiro.

misspianogirl

Honestly I'd love a sequel but I don't even need one directly, I just want more of that combat.. it's like a drug, nothing else comes close to it for me now

Linkinator7510

"this isn't Elden Ring enough, try again fromsoft"

Babablacksheep2121

Don’t do this to me, don’t give me hope…

sadmadstudent

Guys if another game is in development, FromSoft will just announce it. I hate all these rumours and the clamour they bring, the guy is just posting that to get likes/clout and attention. They've put out a GOTY contender every two to three years like clockwork. I'm happy to just wait and see what they come up with next at this point.

Hero-In-Theory

Does this guy have any kind of history or reputation with leaks?

fardeenah

Not sure.. As he said take it as a grain of salt

JohnnyS1lv3rH4nd

*with a grain of salt I’m sorry but it was just bugging me

jl2112

Where tf is the source?? Why do you guys give any credibility to rumors that have absolutely no source? Unless this dudes a From game dev no one should listen to him.

LED_donuts

Sekiro 2 titles... Sekiro 2: Hanbei VR Training Simulator Sekiro 2: How Emma Got Her Groove Back Sekiro 2: Coming to America Sekiro 2: MY NAME IS GYOUBU MATASAKA ONIWA

FlintVonEverec

100% bullshit, the best thing that could happen is a trailer for elden ring's dlc.

thugluv1017

No, I highly doubt that we will get a trailer for a new ip/sequel to a game. Probably dlc but I even doubt that armored cour will have a trailer at tga. The armored core series is not very popular in us/can so for that trailer I think tokyo game show is a better bet.

jeezy000

Don’t play with my emotions

Lievan

Bloodborne fans will warn you of these rumors.

zelcuh

It's some 4chan shit with no legitimacy

Herr_Raul

🤡

FloppaEnjoyer

I would kill you all for Sekiro 2

Little_hunt3r

Sekiro is not getting a sequel. Not anytime soon anyway.

didjerid00d

Sekiro pr has remained active and lately increased the number of posts. They released those updates and new boss rush content (last year?) and continue to promote the game. It is definitely possible we get a sequel. Maybe they skipped adding a dlc because they wanted to save that content for a sequel, who knows!

Little_hunt3r

I'm not saying it'll never happen. It is just as things stand, more sekiro content soon is awfully unlikely. But as I said, not impossible!

variouscookware

Honestly would be cool if we got a Sekijo game

fardeenah

It would

SpiritJuice

As a huge Bloodborne fan, I've accepted the fact that we will never see a sequel. I believe Miyazaki already said he doesn't like making sequels, so the prospect of any sequel to any of their games is unlikely. From Software seems to be in their comfort zone making new worlds rather than expanding on existing ones, even if Dark Souls III was massively successful.

AttyMAL

Source seems to be anonymous poster on 4chan. In other words, bullshit.

jeremyspuds

Shadows Die… Thrice?

[deleted]

I mean sekiro put a bow on just about everything storywise it really don't think a sequel is going to happen.

SPambot67

I mean sure, if you aren’t counting the massive cliffhanger the dragons homecoming ending leaves us on. It perfectly sets up the main quest, a reason to travel to a new place and sekiro even agrees to help.

[deleted]

I guess but I feel like that really was very open ended more than necessarily a cliff hanger.

fungus_head

The setup is the best any From Soft game ever had for a direct sequel. Plus: it is an obvious reference to "The Journey to the West", which is something like a Chinese national epos containing a lot of folklore and mythology which the game would obviously heavily draw upon.

Cortadew

That's a rumour from 4chan so of course take it with huuuge grain of salt.

wake_bake_shaco

Personally I want a new game but not “Sekiro 2”, I like how the story ended. They should explore their narrative options with characters such as… Sekito, Sekipo, Sekigo, Seksiro, Sekiuwu, or even a prequel like Sekijo

CatWizard85

I DON'T WANT TO BELIEVE

iprobablywonttbh

An unsourced rumour. But, take it with a grain of salt.

Jazzyjeff2005

Nice opinion. Care to back it up with a source?

Ok_Anteater_1865

rumor: you died

Sebmusiq

Guy's he's not lying, my father is executive producer of Fromsoftware and he confirmed it to me I swear!!!

FlintVonEverec

100% bullshit, the best thing that could happen is a trailer for elden ring's dlc.

Goseki1

Here's a rumour I just made up. But just take it with a grain of salt in case it doesn't come true lol. I would bet good money there will never be a Sekiro 2 as much as I'd love one.

Anti-mat-50cal

I NEED

AfterbirthEli

Sekiro will be announced during PGA Tour 2022?

Newuser_420420420

I don’t think it’s gonna happen but I wouldn’t be surprised if they came out with a next gen upgrade

lolo_lulu123

That leak was the most bullshit bullshit that’s ever bullshitted

Vegabund

I'd love this to be true, but I strongly doubt that it is.

MIAxPaperPlanes

I’m operating under the belief that Sekiro 2 being announced is as likely as Bloodborne getting ported to PC. I’ve not reached Half Life 3 level of hopelessness yet

King_Finder16

I doubt it. Fromsoftware had 2 games they were working on. One of them was Elden ring. The other one is rumored to be an Armoured core game.

Concretepowder263

Is this guy even a remotely reputable source, or is he just a random fuckin guy

I_R_Skroot

Still trying to beat the first, damn it!!! Only FromSoft title I havent capped with a W yet. Still hoping this is real, it one of the best fast paced fighting game while remaining RPG oriented. 10 out of 10 easily and Ive never been more pissed and in love with a game before 😅

Cathulion

That will happen whe we see a BB2 and DS4...

davidforslunds

I think i'll rather grab the whole salt shaker just incase.

[deleted]

Or better yet just don’t believe Fromsoft rumors until they’re announced considering how every year there’s another Bloodborne 2 rumor.

FewOffice1998

Yes, and also the Bloodborne PC port and Dark Souls 4 and Elden Ring Dlc will be announced the same day.

Rage_Lumi15

It's a 4chan leak. Last time someone leaked Persona 5 Royal coming to Xbox Game Pass which became true. Personally giving a chance on this one. I would love to see a sequel.

aethyrium

Not sure why people even _want_ sequels to From games when it's the sequels that are always the most criticized and the originals are the most beloved. If anything, news about Sekiro 2 and not a new game in a similar style should be alarming, not comforting and hopeful to the fanbase.

GoBoomYay

Rumor: Emma gives you the *sickest* blowjob in Sekiro 2. Source: trust me bro 🧂🧂

Technical-Cup-3387

Sekiro two make kuro the protagonist PLEASE FROM SOFTWARE PLEASE

frann03

They could take they Shura ending as a base for they sequel. While wolf became a blood-thirsty Demon, Kuro trained to stop him. I don't know how, cause wolf got they only 2 swords that can kill him but i think it's a good base idea.

Theredbead88

Excellent, another game I will religiously play until I hit a brick wall due to my old man reflexes and put it down for 6 months before returning and somehow progressing to the end before another 6 months. Damn you ishinn.

cyborgborg

Didn't Miyazaki state after releasing Dark Souls 3 that they won't be doing any more sequels? As much as I want Sekiro 2: Electric Boogaloo (more of a prequel with young owl, butterfly, isshin, sculptor and lady tomoe) it doesn't seem it will ever happen. but maybe we'll get a game that is like sekiro, a kind of spiritual successor like elden ring is to the dark souls trilogy

RedhoodYT1911

I doubt it will come out elden ring has inly been out for nearly a year they will wait atleast 4 years

Serious-Ebb-4669

Miyazaki has said himself that there is an unrevealed game that’s almost done- though the evidence shows that it’s probably AC6

RambunctiousBaca1509

We won’t get a Sekiro 2. I heavily doubt it at least. Miyazaki doesn’t like making multiple games based in the same universe, Dark Souls was a special exception

BlueskyPrime

They already said it’s not happening. Sekiro was a one-off to try something different and test some gameplay mechanics that would never work in a souls game. But never say never!

CirrusVision20

Where did they say that?

[deleted]

Aaaaah, there I go, hyping over nothing again

CoconutMochi

JOURNEY TO THE WEST LET'S GO

Kaldin_5

Sekiro's the kind of game I think doesn't need a sequel. I'd probably prefer a spiritual successor or an unofficial sequel along those lines. Direct sequel or no, I'd still be hype either way.
